for stranded baker.

My name is Oliver Phelps
and this is my brother James,

and we will be your conductors
for the evening.

Well, we're here
to get things moving.

Moving being the operative
word, because this fine-looking,

triple-decker Knight Bus is just
one of the many magical ways

to navigate through the world
of "Harry Potter."

-[maniacal laughter]
-[whooshing]

[Harry] What about the Muggles?
Can't they see us?

[driver] Muggles?
They don't see nothing, do they?

So, if you want to
get your sticky mitts

on the Wizards of Baking Trophy,

for your next challenge,
you'll need to bake a showpiece

inspired by that theme.

You know, funnily enough,

[Katie] I've lived in England,
so I know a lot of these

English desserts
that are coming out.

Mince pie, I love eating them
at Christmas time

because I love
all of the flavors.

Angel and Rui, feast

rhubarb crumble.
-[Angel] Ooh.

-[Oliver] And Jenny and Alex,

Victoria sponge,

fit for a queen.

So you've got

I think some of these bakers
have never even heard of

some of these puddings,
let alone tried them.

No actual chunks of beef.
It's not a burger pie.

[Alex] Do you know
what would be amazing?

[Jenny] We're gonna be making
a toilet sat on a fireplace.

To hide our tasting element,
I'm gonna make some wafer paper

flames and a flushing chain
and toilet roll.

This is one of the weirdest
days of my life.

[Alex] It is my first time
making a chocolate toilet,

but I'm gonna make it
look so real.

I'm gonna make this
a marble finish.

I'm hugging the toilet bowl.

It's been a few years
since I've done that, but...

-[laughing]
-Hey, Rui, what did you get?

Weasley car.

Are you sure you don't want
to swap it for a toilet?

-The toilet.
-Does anybody want to
swap for a toilet?

If anyone should have gotten
the toilet, I'm glad it's you.

[Stefan] So we have Eton mess.

We wanted to elevate that
and to take it somewhere

different that maybe the judges
have never tried before.

Of course, the cream,
I'm actually using

clotted cream for another
sort of British twist.

We're gonna have layers
of meringue.

We're gonna have
some tarragon cremeux.

We're gonna have
a strawberry compote.

And I've got a lot to do.
I've not made life simple
for myself.

So we're gonna just
push through and get all these

different layers made,
prepared, ready to go.

Andy, Stefan --
Stefan, you're bobbing around

like a madman.
What's going on there?

Yeah, we've got a lot
on this challenge, for sure.

And a very complex
tasting element as well.

-What's complex about Eton mess?
-when you present Eton mess

as an eyeball, it becomes
a different game.

So that's what we're planning
to do today.

-A what?
-[James] An eyeball?

-Yeah.
-So we're talking the eyeballs
being actual life-size?

[Stefan] Probably a bit larger.

Maybe like an eyeball
of a donkey.

-[laughing]
-Right, OK.

The famous
"Harry Potter" creature.

The Harry Potter donkey, yeah.

What was your mode of transport
that you got?

[Andy] The Vanishing Cabinet.

So what we'll do is
kind of start it at

the Room of Requirement, where
we saw the Vanishing Cabinet

from the scene where Draco is,
like, practicing on

the Vanishing Cabinet,
and he, like, takes the tarp

off of it.

So our showpiece will
spin around to reveal

the sister location
of Borgin & Burke.

There's a lot of different
items, all the keys

and the gems.
We want to bring it to life,

and to do that, we have to

really load it up,
just like the store is.

-[Oliver] Sure.
-And so it's gonna take a lot
of work to kind of create

all those different elements,
but I think that if we can

pull it off, it's gonna be
really cool to see.

Excellent, well,

So this Eton mess eyeball,
we take some cocoa butter,

black, for the little center
of the eye, some blue,

which you spray on.

The most delicious eyeball
known to man.

[Andy] Are you sure?
Have you tried eyeball?

[Stefan]
I actually have not tried
many eyeballs to be fair, so...

That's done.
Eyeballs molded.

[Andy] Nice.

Teams, you have five hours
to finish your buses,

your bikes...
-I'm scared.

...your toilets...

Kate, if you're OK,
I'm gonna take over

the treacle filling for you.
-That sounds great.

[Kate] We were assigned the
treacle tart, so I'm still using

the classic short crust,
but reimagining it

as a mille-feuille style.

Mille-feuille means
many layers.

It's very french.

I went to the French
pastry school in Chicago,

and I fell in love
with it immediately.

It's great to be paired
with a classically trained baker

because I wouldn't have a clue
on how to properly make

that crust.
-[Kate] I want to make
my short crust thin,

trying to stay true
to the inspiration

while still trying
to make it my own.

I'm gonna get started
on the lemon custard.

The Knight Bus is a giant piece.

For our illusion of movement,
we're going to have

the Knight Bus drive down
the bridge, just like it does

in the movies, with a hill that
is made out of cake

atop the lit up bridge.

We're planning on walking
a really fine line between

going real big and going just
over that line

to making it
too big.

Come on.
I'm, like, losing my mind.

I'm worried that I wrote my
recipe wrong when I scaled it.

I'm realizing that
my quantities are way off,

and there is just way too much
sugar, and it makes my custard

just really, really,
really thin.

What am I doing?
Oh, my god.

We don't have room or time
for any mistakes like this.

-[Heather] How can I help?
-[Kate] I don't know.

I'm determined to try
and salvage this cream, so hope

and a prayer, I'm adding
some extra egg yolk to try

and thicken it up.

The risk here is that if we go
too far, then we'll have to

start it over.

I can really see this custard
coming together.

I'm feeling pretty confident
about it.

I think this might be OK.
You want a taste?

Sorry, I just came at you
real hard with that.

-[Heather] That's delicious.
-[Kate] Thanks.

Oh, my god.

[Priya] Molly, how
are you so fast?

That thing was naked
a minute ago.

-[Molly] I know.
-[Priya] I am spraying

green and black
on acetate.

I want to create that
green-black gradient tile that

you see in the Ministry of Magic
and then spread

my chocolate really thin.

The transfer of color is
really gonna come through.

-[Priya] It is
Ministry of Magic glory.
-Molly, Priya.

-Hi.
-I see a phone box
coming together.

-Yes.
-So let's go back 15 years.

How did you start making cakes?

So I was a special-effects
artist, and I used to

do makeup,
prosthetics, airbrushing for

weddings or for special effects
or for body painting.

And then I started using it
just messing about on cakes

with food coloring.
And for some reason, here I am.

Are the cakes a bit less
temperamental, then, than brides

on their wedding day
or anything like that?

The cakes aren't
looking at you.

There's not as much pressure.

Priya, how did you
get into chocolate?

[Priya] I was
previously a hairstylist.

My family was part of
a wildfire evacuation,

and we moved quickly,
suddenly to a new environment

and decided to
take a fresh start.

Chocolate wasn't like anything
else that I've done before,

and so it was exciting and new,
and so I really leaned

into that, and I'm glad.
Never looked back.

-[James] Yeah.
-So where's the tasting
element going to go?

How are you going to
build it up?

[Priya] Instead of your classic
Battenberg, we're gonna do

chocolate and mint.

With the chocolate and mint
flavors, we're really pulling

inspiration from the tiles
inside the Ministry of Magic,

which are black and green.
-[Oliver] Yes.

[Molly] So we're gonna make
the tasting element

into a desk.

We are making the main
focal point inside,

which is the statue.

We've made the iconic,
green tiles from

the Ministry of Magic.
-So I think it's all really

gonna come together nicely.

I think that it's really
honoring the classics,

but maybe taking
our own little spin on it.

I mean, after all, Harry is
awaiting judge-mint.

-Right, OK.
-That was her joke, by the way.

-[Oliver] I was
gonna say, that's...
-[laughing]

-[Jenny] Hey, Jujahar.
-[Jujhar] Yeah?

[Jenny] How do you
spell gentlemen?

-G-E-N-T-L-E-M-E-N.
-Thank you.

Teams, you have four hours to
finish your buses, your bikes,

your toilets...
-[Jenny] Yay.

[Katie]
So, we made this armature of
handlebars and just coating it

in chocolate.
Then we're gonna do

modeling chocolate
over the top to

really make all of the details.
-I have a lot of work to do.

For a showpiece,
it's inspired by

Hagrid's legendary
motorbike and sidecar...

[Katie]
We want to make the motorbike
to look like it's soaring

through the night sky.
I'm a chocolatier.

This is my time to shine.
I'm excited to be on here,

and I get to make, with Jujhar,
a motorcycle out of chocolate.

My stepmom was a chef,
and once I was old enough,

like eight, she'd be like,
"OK, you have two hands,

you can roll a truffle."

And that is still what
I'm doing 25 years later.

That's incredible.

Ooh, that's
really shiny, though.

Congrats.

This is a puzzle.

Tubes, headlight back,
isomalt front.

You know, I really am
a lot like Hermione.

All I care about is,
like, doing the job,

doing it correctly.

It's gonna be
a very heavy piece.

[Jujhar] There's no room
for error, you know?

There's things we gotta cut,
things we gotta layer,

things can snap, and there's
no time to fix this.

This is gonna be a really
big challenge, because,

you know, these
fat fingers, you know,

it's sometimes tricky.

Yeah, it's looking cool.

Try to make this
as detailed as possible.

-[Jujhar] Katie, you like it?
-[Katie] I absolutely love it.

We are presenting
the Weasley car.

It's magical.
It flies.

Rui is doing the chocolate
bridge, and then I'm doing

the car on top.

So first I need to cover
all the car in fondant

before putting the lights
and all the little details.

So cool.

So I just got xanthan gum,
calcium gluconate...

I don't know
any of those things.

[Rui] For the
tasting element...

So I always try to go with
a different molecular technique

in every challenge.

All my family, friends, are for
sure fingers crossing for me,

especially my cat, Bougie Cat.
-Bougie Cat.

-He has a Prada necklace.
-Oh, please.

What's the menthol going into?

[Rui] You know it's not mint,
it's a cooling agent.

[Molly] Ooh.

So it's just the cold
sensation coming up.

Be my guest.

-[Rui] Is it enough?
-Yes.

Oh, it's so good.

[Rui] So I'm adding this ginger
streusel, the cooling agent,

using the mousse.
It looks like a book of spells.

And then on top,
the rhubarb and the hibiscus,

explosive sphere.

So when they cut it, kind of
like...[mimics explosion]

-[Rui] Yeah.
-That's cool.

Jujhar, how's everything
coming along for you?

I've done my cloud base,
and Katie's working

on the bike.
It's all about the details.

Oh, yeah.

So right now, I'm just molding
some isomalt gems to kind of go

throughout the cake,
just another one of

the elements that is
in the shop.

I wanted to create some
elements you would see

in the actual shops.

Then I make a bunch of skulls
using chocolate.

-[Andy] Just like by...
-[Stefan] Oh, that's sick.

[Stefan] That is perfect,
because it's antique.

Age some of them, dust
some of them, just to kind of

give us some variety
throughout the piece.

[Stefan] I think we're both
optimists, really.

I think we've got
a positive outlook.

Yeah, I think we're both, like,
glass-half-full people.

[Stefan] Yes.

It just kind of keeps us
in the right headspace.

Victory.

[Alex] Right now, I'm unmolding
my chocolate toilet seat.

I wanted to make it
look like marble.

At the moment, it doesn't
look marbleized.

-It just looks dirty.
-Hey, Jenny, Alex.

I thought it was looking
like marble.

Jenny told me, like, it is...

It may look a bit like
an unfortunate toilet.

-Yeah, yeah...
-It's an unfortunate
color choice, I thought.

Yeah, I mean, I have been in
a few like that over the years.

Jenny, you're making
toilet paper over there.

Yes, yes, I am.

It's just edible wafer.

And it's got a little bit
of rose.

I've ever done.

When I met my vicar husband,
I was living next door to him.

Now, I could not resist

was how we met.
-[James] Alex.

Jenny's sense of humor,
is it rubbing off on you?

We are competing for
the Wizards of Baking Cup,

so I think too much.

We have a lot of
violently purple bus to cover.

Really want side panel to
just be heavily detailed.

I know that's gonna eat up
a lot of time.

I am a little worried that
we've gone too big,

but at the same time,
it's the triple-decker bus.

I love me some pressure.

I feel like we've got
to do it big.

I think it's worth the risk.

I didn't leave my business
for three weeks to not win.

To be able to bring home
the trophy, the sense of pride

that I would bring
to my team members.

Right now, I have a team
of near 35 at my bakery,

and to bring that joy to
the community of Rochester.

I can't wait to make
everybody emotional,

make everybody proud.

How does it feel to be

I think we're going to need

When you got the role
in the film, were you aware of

the films itself or the books?
-No, I had absolutely no idea.

So they flew me over
for a screen test.

I had no idea what
"Harry Potter" was.

I'd never read the books,
never heard of it.

So I walked over to
the director, Chris Columbus,

and I said,
"Hiya, Harry Potter.

I'm Devon Murray.
Nice to meet you."

So they were looking
for a silly Irish kid,

and they kind of found
a silly Irish kid that day.

It's crazy to see Devon Murray.

He's definitely always
getting into trouble.

I would be his character.

My arches come out perfectly.
Angel, look at them.

[Angel] We're working together
on assembling the bridge.

We're very nervous because
this is a lot of chocolate.

[Rui] Let's see.
Moment of truth.

There we go.
We have to pass the heat gun

in order to melt the chocolate
that we're gluing with.

Take approximately 40 to 50
kilos of chocolate in total

to make that bridge.
-[Angel] That's a lot
of chocolate.

-Happy?
-[Angel] Very happy.

I'm building
our mille-feuille now.

So I have our short crust
filled with a treacle filling,

lemon zest custard.

It's really crucial that I get
this tasting element

into the back of the bus.

The bus is going to be
driving down the bridge.

We're a little bit worried
about once that movement

happens, it's going to be
so top heavy that it's going to

topple over.

Just disastrous
if it falls off.

I hope that what we're doing is
gonna get us to the head of

the class like Hermione
and not blow up in our faces.

-Heather, Kate.
-How are you guys?

Hey, guys.
So we have the Knight Bus here,

and look at this
all coming together.

Do I sense a little bit
of stress?

Um, a tiny bit, but it's not...

I don't think we're
at full panic yet.

What's left to do?

The landscape, some
fine detailing, airbrushing,

getting some dimension.

I think that's
a really important step.

Anybody have a time turner
in their pocket?

-No, fortunately not.
-Not in these trousers,
I'm afraid.

[Jujhar]
So I have my tarts here.
I'm gonna be making the base.

Katie's gonna make this
delicious mince filling,

you know, with some raisins,
some brandy.

[Katie] All right, I'm pouring
my brandy in.

[Jujhar] Ooh.
Flambé.

[Katie] Et voila!

So, we have to incorporate
our tasting element

in our showpiece, and we don't
want to cover it with,

you know, silver luster dust.

So we will be placing our mince
tart on the top of our gas tank

to display this dessert.

And we're gonna top it off with
a beautiful chocolate feather.

Time is flying like
the Weasleys' rusty, old banger.

-Only one hour to go.
-[Angel] Oh.

Oh, my God.

This is absolutely incredible.

Yeah, so now
we'll do the blue.

Be, like, the blue
of your eyes.

-[Devon] Yeah.
-[Katie] Like,
that's the color.

[Alex] Victorian sponge cake.

Always have a genoa,
so I'm making a whipped

white chocolate ganache.

And you're also making
a raspberry gel.

I think it is going to be
a really nice surprise

for the judges.

[Priya] This part is important
for precision.

I really want to capture that
perfect checkerboard effect.

I think this is an important
one to keep us in the running.

Hey, Molly.

I think we really need
that tasting element.

[Priya] The foam box door will
magically open to reveal a desk

made out of our tasting element
Battenberg cake.

[Molly] The fondant's got
the color, a wood effect.

Hopefully, the judges will be
able to see that.

So, priorities now,
I'm going to do the wizard.

Otherwise,
there's nothing to see.

So much modeling chocolate
and stuffed it all together.

It's what we call
speed modeling.

[Priya] How are you holding up
there, Molly?

[Molly] Not great, but at least
we can go out with a bang.

[Stefan] This is the front door
of the Vanishing Cabinet,

which is fun.

So now I've switched to
chocolatier mode, really going

into chocolate carpentry now.

We've obviously got to build
a cabinet, we've got shelves

to do, cutting in
to create wooden planks.

From there, what I need to do
is actually airbrush it,

so I have to get that beautiful,
old, wooden effect.

I have to hope that all
the dimensions, we've done

our calculations correctly,
I've got a lot to do, I need to

get this cabinet I finished.

Can you help me
with this cabinet?

-[Andy] One...
-[Stefan] I need some help
if it's possible.

[Andy]...second.

Just attaching
the last shelf.

Please, emergency help.

[Andy]
We have so much more to do in
just our small amount of time.

To kind of hold
its shape, I just hit it with

a little bit of cold spray.
That way it kind of holds.

we're making it through

very quickly.

Welcome to Platform 9 3/4.

We can't wait to see
the showpieces you've created

and the classic, British
desserts that you've reimagined.

As always, we're judging on
story, execution, and taste.

It's time to dig in.
You ready, Devon?

I'm always ready to eat.

-[Carla] You brought
that with you?
-That's a big fork.

All right, let's go try
our first dessert.

Look at this.

[Jozef] Ooh, the phone box that
visitors entrance to

the Ministry of Magic.
-[Carla] I love the colors.

We get the story.

You get the first part
of the story.

-[gasping]
-[pop]

So we have
the Ministry of Magic inside.

See, those are
the interdepartmental memos.

Yeah.

Interdepartmental memos.
We used to use owls.

The mess was unbelievable.

In terms of execution,
I love the door opening.

I love the tiles.
Loved how they're lined up.

[Jozef] Inside, you've got the
statue, great detailing on it.

I love the fabric, the way
that kind of falls.

I don't know if you're getting
a little waft of mint there,

because I believe that
Harry was awaiting judge-mint.

-[laughing]
-[Jozef] The mint smells great.

[Jozef] I mean,
it's very appetizing, isn't it?

-Bring out your fork, Devon.
-He's ready.

I'm ready.
I'm locked and loaded.

-Get it out.
-[Molly] We got Battenberg.

-[Carla] Battenberg.
-[Devon] Classic.

-[Molly] Yes.
-[Priya] So, we decided to take
a little bit of creative license

and go with a chocolate mint
Battenberg with a mint

vanilla-bean ganache
and a chocolate marzipan as well

with mint.

[Carla] Let me just say,
beautiful Battenberg.

I think it is even.
You have the classic
checkerbox.

[Jozef] The texture
of the sponge is great.

The marzipan, even
the thickness of that,

you've got it kind of spot on,
so great job.

[Devon] It's amazing.

I don't get as much mint
as I was expecting.

I get more mint from
the aromatherapy

than from the cake.

Even though the
Ministry of Magic was
formed in 1707,

this is a great, fresh take
on a Battenberg.

-Oh, thank you.
-That's really sweet.
Thank you.

[orchestral music plays]

-The Weasley car.
-[Jozef] Yes.

Look at this.
The color of it is
absolutely perfect.

I love the lights
on the back of it.

You can tell that the car is
taking flight, but also all of

this beautiful work of
the tunnels and the rocks

and the grass.

[Jozef]
Your execution on it is great,
but I think as we go higher up

to the car, the finishing on
certain things isn't as clean

as what I see with
the bottom half of the piece.

But we know exactly by looking
at this what part of the story

you're trying to tell us.

-[gasps]
-[Jozef] Hey.

-Wait, what?
-Oh!

[gasp] -- oh!

[Jozef] So, your tasting element
was rhubarb crumble.

[Rui] The tasting element
is a book.

It's rounded with custard,
and then it has a streusel

underneath and an inverse
verification of rhubarb

and hibiscus on top.
-Hang on, what?

This is all going over my head
here, but I just hope

it tastes good.

[Rui] So the sphere is liquid
inside, so whenever you

break it with a fork,
it will flow.
-[Jozef] Like so.

-Oh.
-Yes, there you go.

-That is amazing.
-[Jozef] What's the cooling?

Something menthol-y in there?

There is a cooling agent
on it.

-Oh, yes.
-I can feel it on
the top of my palate.

-Can you not feel a coolness?
-Ha-ha!

Really cool.
I love the crumble.

Once again, you've given us
a lot of things to experience.

-Oh, this looks amazing.

-This looks incredible.
-[Carla] I'm loving the chrome.

[Carla] I'm loving
the leather work.

It definitely gives that
magical aura that

Hagrid's bike has.

The clouds and the plumes
of smoke.

Very nice.

-[Carla] Oh.
-[Devon] That is really cool.

-[Carla] Oh.
-[Jozef] Wow.

I think you've put
so much time and effort
into this incredible motorbike.

What's with the gas tank cap?

right now, it just looks like
Hagrid is riding around

with a mince pie on his bike.

So I'm not gonna lie,
it's probably one of my least

favorite things to try.
My father loves it -- me, no.

Actually, he told us
he's terrified of this tasting.

Let's put me out of my misery.

[Carla] All right, Katie,
let's taste it.

[Jujhar] We have our classic
mino pate sucree.

We have a brandy cremeux topped
with the classic mince filling.

-Look at that...
-Ugh.

-...it's so good.
-[laughing].

[Jozef] All eyes are on you.

[anticipatory music plays]

That is banging.

-[cheering]
-[laughing]

Generally, the ones I've tasted
have been terrible.

-Sorry, Grandma.
-I'm sorry, my auntie.

My auntie makes them
for everybody.

Everybody says she's amazing,
but this is...

Well, she's gonna find out
she's not.

[Carla] First of all,
the pastry, the short crust

is delicious.
It's not overly brandied.

You guys have managed to pack
in a very authentic flavor

of mince pie.

I think you've done
an amazing job.

You've definitely nailed
the story here.

We get that it's Hagrid's bike,
which was owned

by Sirius Black,
I have to point out.

You know more about
"Harry Potter" than I know.

-Well, there you go.
-You're putting me to shame.

[Jozef] In terms of
your execution, you bring

your concepts to life.

And in terms of taste,
it was really, really well done.

-Thank you.

[Carla] Oh, the Underground
White Hall public toilet.

[Devon]
So if anyone had told me that
I was going to be coming here

and eating a cake that looked
like a toilet, I do not think

I would have been here.
-He wouldn't have brought
such a big fork.

[laughing]

That toilet needs a little bit
of a cleanup.

But I really like it.

I mean,
it's an underground toilet.

I mean, in terms of execution,
now, there are some joints that

aren't really
lined up properly.

I just want to point that out.

[Jozef] I love the way
you've incorporated those

Ministry of Magic colors.

-You've told that story
really nicely.
-[exhales]

I'm gonna ask you now
about the illusion of movement.

I'm kind of scared to see
what it does.

We have a flushing toilet.

-[gurgling]
-[Jozef] Ooh!

-Toilet's flushing.
-[laughing]

[Jozef] Victoria sponge
come down the floo.

[Devon] I'm extremely
excited to try this.

[Jozef] Thank you.

[Alex]
It is the classic Victoria
sponge cake, but we wanted

to give it a twist.

We decided to make it almond
with brown butter.

Also, whipped white chocolate
ganache and raspberry gel.

-[splat]
-[gasps]

[laughing]

Um, there is vanilla
on the inside.

The floor's really enjoying it.

[Carla] But look at this.

-It looks incredible.
-[Carla] Isn't that beautiful?

What say you,
Devon-with-your-own-fork?

[Jozef] I can't tell from your
face, but how are we feeling

about this one?

I'm really, really
enjoying this.

The tartness of it
is incredible.

As nice as it is, I do not
think I would ever be able

to finish that.

Well, you can put yours down,
half of it down there

with mine.

I love that it's -- one --
it's not too sweet.

Also, every layer
has all of the bits.

You can have any part of this.
This is a perfect bite.

Can I just ask, is Devon

Illusion of movement,
top marks.

I love that the lights
create this movement.

[Jozef] Great detailing on
the side of the bus as well.

-[Carla] Yes.
-Very clean, very nice

and sharp, and that's
where it contrasts,

then, you see with me,
other parts of it.

The kind of mossy grass
and everything that

we have here.

[Carla] I think, like, a little
more color in there, like,

lights and darks
and highlights.

And now it's time.
Well, Devon has his fork.

-You ready for this?
-I'm ready and waiting.

[Carla] Treacle tart is
one of my favorites.

And just in case you don't
like it, it's one of

Harry's favorite.
-All right.

-Well, I've never tried this.
-I can't wait to try it.

[Kate] The treacle tart,
it's reimagined in the style

of a mille-feuille.

The shortbread crust layered
with the treacle filling,

a thin layer of custard.

[tapping]

[Jozef] I would say,
the mille-feuille layers

could have been thinner.

There's quite a bit you've
got to get in in one scoop.

I'm getting, obviously,
a lot of lemon.

-Very, very sweet.
-OK.

It's so strong
and sweet, but...

Now, wouldn't you love
this with a cup of tea?

That's exactly
what I was thinking.

Story-wise, you guys have
transported us to that scene

in "The Prisoner of Azkaban."

On the execution,
some detailing is really,

really wonderful, I think
there's other little bits

that need to be elevated
to come to the same level

of what you guys clearly are
capable of.

In terms of taste,
I did like the idea of taking

a treacle tart and turning it
into a mille-feuille format,

but would I spend my 11 sickles
for my Knight ride

on this piece?

I'm not quite so sure.
-Mm.

-[Andy] Hey, guys.
-[Devon] Hey, how are you doing?

So, I know this is
the Vanishing Cabinet.

[Stefan] The Vanishing Cabinet
was hidden under the cloth

in the Room of Requirement.

[Carla] Oh, oh, oh.

-[Carla] Oh, oh.
-[Jozef] Wow.

-Oh, my god.
-[Jozef] We've been transported.

[Jozef] Well, it's all the kind
of little knickknacks that

you'd expect to see
in Borgin & Burkes.

-[Devon] Exactly.
-And what I really liked was
a little bit of kind of

showmanship, the theatre
of removing the veil from over

the Vanishing Cabinet.
-You love a bit of show.

I do, yeah, I love
a bit of show.

-I do, I do, I love it.
-Me too, me too.

And it actually does
kind of add to the story,

-Yeah, and this does.
-[Carla] You have executed
this beautifully.

So, for the tasting element,
we decided to take the classic

British dessert of Eton mess
and turn it into an eyeball,

which is fitting for the kind
of thing you'd find

in Borgin & Burke.
-[Jozef] Exactly.

OK, Devon, I'm afraid to
ask, do you like Eton mess?

-I absolutely adore Eton mess.
-Oh, my gosh, thank you.

Ah, there we go.
We got a win.

So, how have you gotten
an Eton mess into an eyeball?

[Stefan] So, actually, we've
done a clotted cream ganache,

strawberry compote
in the center of the eyeball.

We've also done a strawberry
consommé, and then what we also

have is a tarragon cremeux.

Well, I've eaten a lot of
weird things today,

and now I'm gonna have
an eyeball.

So, uh, this has been
eye-opening.

-[laughing]
-Very good.

[anticipatory music plays]

[Devon] Mm.

[Carla]
You don't need any words.
This is the story right here.

-I'm loving this.
-[Carla] I know you are.

My mouth is
currently exploding.

[Jozef] The tarragon cream,
don't know if it's needed.

See, I like herbs
with my fruit, which makes it

interesting and new and fresh.

In terms of execution,
there are so many things

to appreciate.

The taste in itself
transported us to a moment

in time and season.

If I had to change one thing,
I would make it easier

to cut into.
-It's an Eton mess.

It needs to be messy.

No, I actually, yeah,
and you think I play

Slytherin's advocate.
And it's an Eton mess.

It needs to be more tidy.

All I know is we have seen
six incredible showpieces

and we've eaten a lot of
incredibly tasty elements.

[James] What an incredible
challenge, well done.

The standard is just getting
higher and higher.

But there can only be
one winning team.

Devon's fork has spoken.

The bakers who impressed
the judges the most...

and have earned an advantage
they can use next time

Andy and Stefan.

[Andy] I am really shocked

seeing it and knowing,
like, they actually do like it.

[Stefan] But not just only did
they like it, but compared to

all the other pieces,
amongst that level of talent,

is just, yeah, incredible.
Can't believe it.

Yeah.
We're one step closer to

the Wizards of Baking trophy.

Congratulations,
Andy and Stefan.

You're gonna find out what
your advantage is soon enough,

and we promise it'll be
worth the wait.

Unfortunately, the adventure
will come to an end for one of

our two bottom teams.

[Jozef] Rui and Angel,
you really did impress us

with your creativity.

The finishing on certain things
wasn't as clean as what I see

with the rest of your work.

Heather and Kate,
the illusion of movement

was great --
unfortunately, that lemon curd

was a little overpowering,

and the finishing wasn't
quite on point.

You have all been
amazing contestants.

Sadly, for one of you teams,
this will be the end

of the run.

[exhales]

a nervous first-timer.

Walking out, I am just really,

The only way to know if you can
do something is to try it,

and I'm proud of myself
for doing that.

objects, then recreate them

exactly as edible show pieces.
