I had come in before, and I got an
ultrasound done. So I wanted to know

that. I may not be able to carry my

Hi, I'm Dr. Dr. Lauren. My sister
Lauren.

So tell me what's going on. My sister,
she's pregnant, as you can see.

And it just hit me all of a sudden. I
was like, you need to check on these

fibroids. And I went in there and I got
the ultrasound because they had grown

back. I know I would be in a situation
to where you would have to remove them

again.

Myomectomy is really, really rough on
your uterus. So if I have to have

surgery like that, I might not be able
to have a baby.

Your ultrasound actually did come back
showing that you had fibroids.

Okay. My worst nightmare just seems to
be coming true. I went through a serious

surgery to try to get rid of these
fibroids and they're back.

Before, you know, you had this big one,
but now you probably have what's

equivalent to a couple of little
walnuts.

Most women who have really small
fibroids, they do fine with pregnancy.

doesn't have any issues related to
miscarriage or anything like that. OK,

when are we going to get the show back
on the road here? Well, I am dating, but

it's not the type of relationship where
I would be discussing kids right now.

Right. And even though I'm not in that
ideal relationship, I wanted to ask you,

like, freezing my egg, how would that
work for me?

You are 34 right now, okay?

Lots of women successfully have very
uncomplicated pregnancies up until their

late 30s and early 40s. I don't know if
I ever told you, I was like 38 when I

had my first baby.

Yeah. And I didn't have my second baby
until I was 42. Oh, really? And there

were no frozen eggs involved, okay?

We have a girlfriend, Phaedra, who had
her son late. Our friend Candy is

pregnant now, who is older. So it's
possible. It's very possible. Yeah. I

So relieved hearing that everything's
fine. I can live my life. I don't have

feel the pressure and date stress. And
later on for a portion of baby carriage.

We'll just let you focus on the guy
first.

Reassess him for another year or two.
And maybe by then we'll have talked
