I hold this near and dear to my heart.

Some of my best childhood memories

are with my sister, Demi. She is my best friend.

My sister's also musical.

We did the talent shows together.

We did the dances for the family.

Like everything that I had to do with music.

I loved being a part of it,

but I think it stuck with me a little bit more

than it did with her. So I mean, it's working out now.

Being a pop R&B artist,

I definitely feel like this song showcases

who I want to be as a singer.

I can bring that R&B side, but also like it's very upbeat,

so I can bring that pop vibe if I want.

I just felt like a song like that requires confidence.

Over the years, I have struggled with confidence.

I was unsure of my talent, unsure of my abilities.

I thought that my voice was too soft.

I just wasn't sure if I was worthy of an opportunity

like this one even.

Now I understand the confidence comes from within.

That was the thing that I had to learn.

This song absolutely reminds me that it is okay to be bold,

fun, and unapologetically expressive.

What makes me a little bit nervous about going against Toni

is that she's just so powerful.

She really has a beautiful range.

Do you perform live much?

Yeah, I do a lot of gigs and I'm also in an a cappella group.

And so we do the whole live thing with like 17 of us.

Performing is something that I've really tried to work on,

like being in an a cappella group has helped me a lot,

you know what I mean? Like, it's a little corny,

but in the best way possible and, like

gets you comfortable getting uncomfortable.

Yeah. You got to stack up those hours in front of people.

Choosing Niall as my coach became evident that

that was the right decision.

The confidence that I've gained from this show

has been immeasurable. I'm not ready to go.

This is my best friend, Zac Brown, who I just met.

You know, to reach Mega Mentor status, dude,

that means that you have to be literally a superstar.

that you're kind of feeling like a little nervous?

Even though I'm 14, the stakes are really, really high.

Back home, I was in school doing homework,
