reinvigorate the center, bring in new
retail and food and beverage.

retail that represented more of what New
York was, like female -owned

businesses, black -owned businesses,

come together. I mean, it feels nice

because the work that we've been doing
has actually paid off. I had one job.

In one industry for 27 years, having the
opportunity to do multiple things now

and to use all of my experience in
different ways has been incredible.

With the genetic disorder that I have,
incontinence pigmenti, it affects the

skin, the teeth, and the hair. So I have
bald spots in the back of my head and

maybe one here.

I have conicular teeth and I'm missing
quite a few. And I have discolorations

all over my skin.

And I know it's a genetic disorder, but
most people don't. And people are like,

oh, you're dirty.

something on your skin, and it's like, I
don't really want to, I don't actually

want to deal with that. I still remember
going to Knott's Berry Farm. I was

wearing shorts, standing in line, and
some girl behind me going, ew, look at

skin.

And I don't really want to do that on a
vacation.

Every summer, for as long as I can
remember, I would hibernate away from

everybody else and get a tan.

Because when I didn't, in the sun, it
really looks magnified, and people were

always saying to me, oh, what's on your
skin? Or, oh, do you have a burn? So

getting a tan kind of quiets the visual
noise, and it makes me feel better.

And then also, what am I going to do
about my hair and my balls?

And I have to get my teeth done.

I'm going, actually, January 3rd.
Another round.

I'm at the end of this six -year journey
of having multiple surgeries to fix my

beautiful teeth.

I've had eight bone grafts, three sinus
lifts, multiple implants, and this is

number 13, I think. I'm almost done.

And then I start at the bottom.

Maybe that's what I should do, is I
should just travel with, like,

things.

That's not a bad idea. Yeah.

That wouldn't be expensive or weird. And
someone to touch you up at any time.

sister, I've never felt it. From the

people that were put on this earth to do
it for us, never did it.

In many ways, my upbringing was tough.

having a mom and dad is tough.

And then even when my grandmother
legally adopted us, we didn't have much
