been an easy one. People think I come

boys would say to you that you were so
pretty except for the fact that you were

chubby. And I'm like, what? Chubby and
taller than them. And that you tried to

saw the heels off your shoes.

But also, like, he shopped at Payless.
With seven children, you know, it was

polyester. Do you know what I mean?

Life has not always been easy, that is
for sure. The stuff about your dad in

here is just... You know, he was so
important to me, and going through what

been through, I can understand him
better and the struggle that he had.

Yeah. Like, he's just the river that
runs through my life.

described sitting in the jail cell. And

the first moment, really.

connecting with your dad and thinking
the shame that you were feeling you

honestly for the first time understand a
little bit of what he possibly was

going through that you never realized he
had 10 years of craziness as a drinker

and he got into trouble and he got
arrested and you know he had shackles on

ankles and as I'm sitting there I'm
looking down at my ankles and I said oh

god

Now I can start to understand the pain
and the struggle

that he went through, you know? And
that's why he's...

I just ran across some pictures of him.
I miss him so much.

My father was everything to me.

He was my rock growing up. My father
struggled with alcohol.

It was very difficult for me and my
family and my mother.

Eventually, he stopped and AA saved his
life. And I'll forever be proud of my

father for that. There's my daddy. Look
at how much I look like my father.

You really do.

Now I can understand him so much more, I
feel like, than I ever was able to as a

young adult.

The struggle. They were real.

And I know how real they are because
I've had the same struggles. And he's

here today.

But I am.

It's all.

Coming full circle.

If the things hadn't happened to me, I
would never be doing this. I had to soul

search. I had to figure out how to
believe in myself again.

I know I'm back in the drivers.

That's how I feel.

I'm in charge. I've kind of repaired
myself in a certain way. Not that

plenty of fixing to be done, but I think
this is going to help me fix more.
