(Episode 46)

Yes? I found Kim Deok Man.

Mr. Kim.

What do you mean, Deok Man died?

What happened?

He committed suicide.

Come down.

I'll protect you.

You must trust me.

- Here. - Don't come any closer.

You'll end up...

burying your son's entire family...

with your own hands.

I've lived for too long...

with this damaged body.

I was too blinded by revenge...

to take care of my wife and son.

I didn't know how useless it was.

Now,

I have no reason to live.

Jae Joon.

Tell Chairman Eun...

that I'm sorry.

Mr. Kim!

Did he have any final words?

Did he resent me...

in his final moment?

He said he'd never forgive you.

He said you will pay...

eventually.

Plan a funeral for him.

What's wrong with you? Have you never seen a dead man before?

The woman Gyung Hye hit with her car didn't die.

But he died right in front of me.

He died with his eyes open.

Our eyes met.

Be a man.

Look at Chairman Eun.

He became a proud chairman even after causing my dad's death...

and is living just fine.

You need to have guts if you want to become the chairman of Winners!

That's right.

I didn't kill him.

Right. Jae Joon.

Jae Joon pushed him.

He was probably ordered by Chairman Eun...

and threatened him.

What?

Jae Joon was there?

Tell me! Was Jae Joon there?

Gyung Hye.

I'm sorry.

My health is not good.

Why don't you go to the hospital?

But first,

there is something I must do for you.

Your doctor said you need your rest.

He said that comes first.

Don't worry about the company, and rest.

I don't want you...

to get sick.

Don't cry, Gyung Hye.

You are...

all I have.

Now,

I want to give you everything I have...

and rest.

May I do that?

Don't worry.

I'll protect you and our company.

I promise.

So...

please get better.

Miss. I have something to report.

Here's the document you requested on the dye factory.

The laborers' rep, Kim Deok Man,

died today.

What? He did?

Mr. Jang was chasing him.

He was running from him...

and ended up choosing to jump to his death.

Myung Hwan? Why?

That document will explain the reason for that.

(Dye Factory Poisonous Gas Leak Suspected)

(Dye Factory Owner Kim Jumps to His Death)

(Kim Hyo Jung)

(Father: Kim Gi Chul)

(Former Name: Kim Yoon Gyung New Name: Kim Hyo Jung)

Kim Hyo Jung...

was the daughter of the dye factory owner who killed himself?

Then...

the reason he was after Kim Deok Man was...

I think she wanted to silence him...

since he knew her real identity.

She came to this family to get revenge on my grandfather...

and conspired with Myung Hwan to make me a mental patient...

to take over Winners.

How dare you two...

do that to my grandfather...

and my company?

They'll make their move while the chairman is ill.

You must act before they do.

- Mr. Lee. - Yes, Miss.

I will...

strike Myung Hwang...

and Hyo Jung.

I need you to do something.

How much do you think he told Jae Joon...

before he died?

Since I threatened him with his son's family's lives,

he wouldn't have said...

a word about me or the recording.

That's right.

If the chairman found out about it, I would've heard by now.

He must've heard...

that I was after Kim Deok Man.

How do I explain that to the chairman?

No excuse will work for why you dug into the dye factory,

which you know is Chairman Eun's Achilles heel.

Then?

It's live or die now.

The dye factory incident...

and Gyung Hye's hit-and-run accident...

We must put an end to it before the sword we drew on Gyung Hye...

becomes a boomerang and pierces our throats.

You're right.

There's no time to wait for Gyung Hye to become chairman.

Before Chairman Eun finds out everything,

I need to take away the power of attorney, control over his shares,

order of successorship,

and everything Gyung Hye is supposed to get.

Even if we have to play every card that we have, we must.

I'll draw you a bath. Sober up first.

Then return to the house as if nothing happened,

and threaten Gyung Hye to drag her here without anyone knowing.

Let's put an end to Gyung Hye.

- Gyung Hye. - Pack your things.

Go home.

Why?

Stay at your house until I tell you...

to come back.

Do I make you uncomfortable?

Gyung Hye.

It's another reason.

Okay.

I'll do as you wish.

Jae Joon, what's going on?

The chairman is very ill.

I don't think it's only because of his illness.

Something dangerous is happening, isn't it?

The driver will take you home.

Don't worry, and go.

Gyung Hye.

What about her?

I'll protect her.

If you stay here,

I can't focus on her.

Go home. I'll call you.

Okay.

- Se Yun. - Mom.

I've been waiting since I heard you were coming home.

Did Ms. Gyung Hye...

kick you out?

I think...

something is happening at the house.

What?

The house is filled with bodyguards.

They say it's because the chairman is sick,

but it looked like...

they were preparing for a dangerous situation.

I think that's why Gyung Hye sent me home too.

She must've wanted me to stay away because it may be dangerous.

What about Ms. Gyung Hye?

I'm worried, Mom.

I'm very worried.

What's all this?

Who are you?

Darn it.

Move.

Darn it. Why you little.

Please keep it down.

The chairman is ill.

Please sleep somewhere else.

You cannot come in until the chairman recovers.

Why can't I come to my own home just because the chairman is sick?

It's Ms. Gyung Hye's orders.

Please leave.

Let go of me!

I'll walk out on my own.

I don't want to go to work today.

Should I take the day off and bum around with you, Mom?

I have a personal day that I can use too.

Should I take the day off?

Go to work, all of you.

I have to go to my boss' house this afternoon.

I have to submit my resignation and take care of some things.

Then you have to finish everything and be home before I get home, okay?

Don't let them change your mind.

I'll really go astray if you do, okay?

You're so cute.

Mom may run away because you're too annoying.

- Get over here. - Okay.

- See you later, Mom! I love you! - Bye!

Good luck with everything.

And don't cook dinner.

I'll come home early and make pajeon, okay?

- See you later. - Okay.

Guys, wait for me!

Let's go.

Mom. Will you go see Chairman Eun today?

Yes.

Then call me when you get back.

I'm really worried.

I will. Go to work.

- I know, right? - Here you go. Enjoy.

- Thank you. - Thank you.

It looks good.

Hey, Chul Soo. Bring us some cold beers.

We need a drink.

Aren't you on duty?

We're both off duty.

Gosh, off duty? That's nice.

Why are you so upset? Here.

Goodness.

Kkot Nim's case was closed.

You said the license plate number that she remembered...

wasn't for the car that the guy who turned himself in drove.

6860.

I can't find that car anywhere.

I checked over 30 vehicles,

but none of them fit the bill.

They were trucks, vans,

or they had solid alibis.

She said she clearly saw the license plate number. That's strange.

I'm positive I remembered...

the driver's license plate number,

but it's different from the car that the guy who turned himself in drove.

That man may not really be the one who hit me.

When you want something desperately,

you might mistake delusions as memories.

Focus on finding your family now.

The driver turned himself in. Your doubt about him...

is keeping you from remembering your family, which is truly important.

No.

I'm positive that number is from my memory.

It is not a delusion.

The chairman called all executives to his house.

What is he up to?

I think the company will have a new owner soon.

Why those little...

All executives other than Vice Chairman Jang...

consented to your becoming acting chairman.

(Chairman Eun Gi Tae)

Now, you are this company's owner.

Mr. Jang.

Get rid of him.

Hey.

I'm the vice chairman. You little twerps.

Taking bribes, preferential treatment,

preferential promotions, and having accounts in borrowed names.

You're being investigated for all these corrupt activities,

so don't except to be treated with respect or consideration.

Shall we start with this?

(Borrowed Accounts)

Wait.

I have someone to call here.

(Gyung Hye)

What are you trying to pull?

Are you trying to kill us both? Is that it?

(Unfair Preferential Treatment)

(Oath)

A corrupt vice chairman embezzling from the company...

is monumentally scandalous.

If we go to court,

you won't get off with just a year or two in prison.

The fine will be astronomical too.

Gyung Hye.

Should I tell the chairman...

about your hit-and-run accident?

I am...

no longer the mentally ill Eun Gyung Hye.

I'm my grandfather's only blood heir,

the person he acknowledged as his successor.

If I say you hit the person and framed me for it...

just like you and Hyo Jung framed me for being mentally ill,

whom will Grandpa believe?

You're done for.

Mr. Chairman.

Is he very ill?

He is. He's being admitted into a hospital tomorrow morning.

Please bring me my granddaughter.

Sir.

Please bring me my granddaughter.

Mom.

Now?

It's very important.

Se Yun, come to the house now.

You won,

so let Myung Hwan go.

I'll give you the document that proves...

Chairman Eun was responsible for the gas leak at the dye factory...

and the original dash cam video...

of the hit-and-run accident.

However,

you must come yourself to get them.

Don't forget to bring Myung Hwan nicely when you do.

Gyung Hye.

The moment you walk in here,

you're finished.

He's very ill.

Once he goes into the hospital tomorrow,

you won't be able to see him for a while.

He helped you a lot.

You should talk to him...

and stay with him for at least a short while.

Where's Gyung Hye?

Mr. Chairman, it's me, Se Yun.

Where's Gyung Hye?

I'll stay with you until she comes.

It's rude to walk in with your shoes on.

This is my home.

Give them to me.

I refuse. However,

I'll make sure you never walk with your head up again.

You'll never set foot in the company again.

Don't worry.

My sweetie will do much better than you.

You jerks.

Princess Gyung Hye.

You've been too sheltered for your entire life.

You should've been careful.

How could you be so naive and run into the lion's den?

Didn't you think about what would happen to you?

You...

are finished.

The person you have reached...

She still won't pick up.

How dare you...

Do you think you'll get away with this?

How dare we?

Gyung Hye.

Your life as a princess is over.

Gyung Hye. You're a fake.

You're not Chairman Eun's real blood.

You're just a nobody...

who can be stepped on...

and spat on endlessly.

(Geum Young Sook and Eun Gyung Hye are parent and child.)

(Eun Gi Tae and Hong Se Yun are not biologically related.)

(Mysterious Personal Shopper)

I warned you to be careful of Se Yun.

I'm being sent to the factory in China?

How could they do that? Do all rich people do that?

Gyung Hye became traumatized after being attacked last night,

and she signed over all of her rights to me.

You're the only person who can protect Gyung Hye.

Protect her with your life.

You are my all, Grandpa.

Please rely on me, and forgive me.
