four. Going home second on season three,

I never would have thought I'd be here.
And to finally be sitting here doing

this really doesn't feel like the book
is closed yet.

I'm very pleased with myself.

You should be. I think I am the first
person to get as many exterminations as

did and make it as far as I did.

They're opportunities to showcase our

From day one, I obviously came here
envisioning myself in the top three very

clearly, and I was confident with what I
brought, but I honestly didn't know.

But now that I'm here, I'm just like...

I've never been so motivated to do drag
than this moment right here. I think

it's very important that I'm here, and I
just hope that it just gets the

messages across.

I think everyone in the top four
deserves to win. I think every single

has worked so hard to get to where we
are and represents a different group of

How does it feel for y 'all to like
compete previously and then compete

and make it this far?

Oh, I'm like over the moon right now.
This is all I've ever wanted.

Obviously going home second on season
three, it's a real big blow to your

So to be able to come back and redeem
myself in the way of like this, making

all the way to top four, like I have
like no words.

I'm just like completely overfilled with

You are to use every resource and skill
available to you to create your ultimate

floor show.

As always, we don't just want you to
construct incredible costumes. We also

you to inject each look with who you are
as a drag icon.

We want to see a bit of you in
everything you do.

That being said, you can't just win on
looks alone.

For your glamour floor show, you will
need to design and choreograph a lip

performance to change the paradigm by
Ostra.

Again, while your look is important,
Your ability to perform in front of a

audience may be even more important and
will factor into our final decision.

Outside of your three floor shows, you
will also be joining us as a special

guest for a live recording of our hit
podcast show, the Brulee Brothers'

interview our top four competitors of

Secrets revealed. The first of many.

Well, how exciting is it that we're here
on the set of the Belay Brothers'

Dragula Season 4? They're so spoiled.

Like, this is fierce.

The Season 4 competitors have it nice.

And it kind of feels like a little witch
school, which I live for. Totally.

I like to think that I'd be the class
clown, but I would definitely be the

slut. But, you know, that's to be
debatable.

Our first guest is no stranger to all
things Dragula and is a top four

from the Belay Brothers Dragula Season 4
and has also previously competed on the

Belay Brothers Dragula Season 3 as well
as the Belay Brothers Dragula

Resurrection, which she won, I might
add. Please welcome Saint.

Hello. So, Saint, do you just like
competing or what? I mean, this is like

third season.

I mean, Drac just had to take 20
minutes. Like, she was with us on the

season. She came back on the fourth
season.

How does it feel to be competing again?

Oh, my God. It feels like, it feels
nuts. Just because, like, you go home

on a season. You're sitting around and
you're trying to figure out, like,

what's, like, your next move.

I felt, like, defeated and stuck in the
place that I was in, but only for a

little bit. After I got over it, I was
just like, all right, well, I still have

a platform behind me.

Yeah, so I just kind of kept growing
and, like, perfecting what I did.

So how does this experience on Dragula
Season 4 compare to Resurrection?

Resurrection, I feel like, was the
validation.

And then, like, now I'm validated. I'm
here. I'm 100%. I don't feel like Saint

.0. I feel like Saint perfected.

Ooh.

After you won Resurrection, you felt
like you were representing kind of like

Black, alternative, queer people. Like,
can you tell us about that?

So after winning Resurrection, a lot of
people had seen themselves in me.

So coming into the competition this
time, I felt like I had a lot of

just because I'm like, if I'm going to
be your champion, I want to be the best.

You should feel proud even right now.

Yeah, it really made me feel like the
sky's the limit.

So say I want to ask you the money

Why should you win?

The first time I had seen the call for
Dragula, I was like, that's me. I've

like an outcast. I feel like I'm
everything Dragula represents.

I'm the freak.

I'm all of the freaks.

You know that's a badge of honor in this
house. It is. And I feel like I wear it

proudly every single time.

$100 ,000, that's a lot of fucking
money.

Oh, baby.

What would you do with that? I think I
would find a place to settle down and,

like, anchor myself.

Maybe get a couple drag children for a
future season.

Do you have your eye on someone that you
want to get you pregnant to have these

drag children?

She said get you pregnant, girl.

We'll settle down, drag children, a
home. It sounds very like, you know.

It sounds hot.

No. You are about to perform your grand
finale floor shows.

Let's talk about the looks a little bit.

So let's talk about your horror look
now. Like what's the general idea and

inspired it? My drag has always been a
love letter to my like childhood that I

didn't get to have. I didn't really get
to have like a lot of like imagination.

So I'm deciding to do the tooth fairy
for mine. I always thought that was just

so bizarre that there's this weird fairy
that comes and collects teens.

I really like to craft a lot of things
out of like junk.

So for the wings, I just use hangers and
saran wrap. Not to undersell it, but

like, yeah, it's mainly made out of like
craft materials.

Okay. The final look is glamour and it
is the lip sync performance challenge.

And you have gotten some critiques this
season about your performance. How are

you feeling about it? Outside of here,
things I perform are more ethereal and

like more slower movement. I think I've
maybe like...

Lended myself too much to that.

But, you know, I'm going to turn it out
because I need a crown and $100 ,000.

really seen that before and if people
don't know what that means then they

should go fucking look it up because i'm
not here to educate you um but i am

here to ask you what is the question yes
what do you think that would mean what

do you think would mean for the
community if you won It's hard to say

I'm just one person that happens to be
part of a community, and they did not

vote for me to be the one to come and
step up and be the face of it or to

represent. But I think being here is
going to change a lot of things outside

this and competition settings. I'm
hoping that maybe it will bring

to a lack of booking that these
performers might experience. I'm hoping

maybe it'll change the way shows are
cast.

And it's interesting to look at our top
four and how non -traditional all of you

are. I love it. It shows that the world
of drag is more than what people think

it is. And it's not that it's changing,
even though it is. It's always kind of

been that way. Yeah, absolutely.

Yeah, just something that hasn't really
had a spotlight to shine onto it. And it

makes me even more proud to be part of
this.

very very diverse top four because I
think that it very clearly showcases the

type of drag that Dragula wants to show.

Why do you think you Sigourney Beaver
should win this season?

I think that I should win because I
bring a little bit more to the table i

experience my hope would be with a win
that it could really bring a lot of

different types of drag together that
usually don't get along and ultimately

isn't that what we want is like more
drag and like better drag for sure

certainly better so going into the
finale obviously sigourney you have

you can tackle glamour in spade but i
will say you have tripped up just a

bit on some of the filth and horror
aspects so What is your game plan for

sure that your filth and horror floor
shows are on par with glamour? I'm very

confident going into the other two
categories that are outside of glamour

because I'm still bringing a glamour
aspect to it, which is something that I

with all of my drag because that's what
I like to do. I'm going to do what I

want to do, but I can do it for you in a
way that you want that's still me.

Can you tell us a little bit about your
filth look and what it's inspired by?

I'm really freaked out by, like, oils
and, like, bubonic plague and just,

weird, like, skin things and, like,
puffs like that. So I'll be doing a

prosthetic zips and boils, and we'll be
popping and snacking.

Ooh.

Love that.

That sounds interesting. And so let's
talk about your horror look. What's the

general idea and what inspired it?

So I've always really been into like the
mad scientist kind of vibe. So I've

recreated an oldie but a goodie, but
it's a giant like lab coat gown.

And it's got some beautiful vinyl gloves
and just, like, black vinyl accessories

all over. And, you know, it's science,
so you've got to have the hair up and

of the face for safety first.

Listen, we're going to let you go
because you have a lot of work to do

obviously. But we want to wish you all
the luck in your floor shows, and we

cannot wait to see what you bring to the

Hi. So we're going to go all the way
back to season two, right?

Everything's going really well.

In the span of like a few hours, it
seemed like everything kind of went to

and you almost sort of self...

exterminated, right?

My head started to leave my body, and my
body wanted to stay, but my head was

like, you gotta go, girl. You gotta
leave. Get out before it's too late.

I was holding myself very accountable
for it.

It haunted me for so long because I was
like, this is supposed to be like the

one thing that I'm doing on my own that
I should be proud of. Yeah. And how long

did that go on for? Like, how long did
you think about that? Until

Wow. And even after Resurrection, I
still thought about it. Really? Uh -huh.

Because Saint won and I was like, oh, so
that's great. Love that. I immediately

ran to my room and started bawling. I
was like, I did it again.

And I just heard my roommates from the
other room screaming. They're like, Jay,

Jay. You came back. You came back.
You're awake. I was like, what does it

That's amazing.

Oh, my God. I love that that happened.
Like, it's such a magical moment. What

you say to people who are watching this
show who only see drag a certain way?

This person has a mustache and they
don't have a bra on. You know what I

right who died and made you the dictator
of what art is yeah every art form is

going to evolve when they start putting
limitations on things that's not art

anymore i'm non -binary and i tell
people all the time that message me that

can just do whatever you want like your
gender your assigned body like if you

choose to stay with like default
settings that's all on you but like That

nothing to do with the character you put
on stage.

Mm -hmm. Well, something I love, you
said this before, that your drag

like, is completely non -sexual, and you
think it's, like, funny when people

kind of sexualize that character.

And it gets sexualized so often now.

Creepy. Well, I understood that in the
past, because you are a little slutty.

So here you are at the grand finale.

I know.

So talking about your filth, what is
your concept? Because I've heard a

bit about it. I feel like this is kind
of mind -blowing. My goal with this

is to basically make the viewer feel
filthy.

Not necessarily me just being...

Gross, but like them watching it and
being entertained by it makes them feel

really bad.

I love that. I like that too.

But it's going to be like a very kind of
like an Emmett Kelly, like raggy clown,

total like just greased up pervert.

Well, I don't want to push you anymore
on that because I actually want to be

surprised. Yeah, it's going to be a good
one.

I want to know about your glamour look
and what you have planned, but also how

you're feeling about performing.

I know that I pull a lot of inspiration
for my drag from death and decay and

things. So for my glamour, I'm going
very clean. I'm about celebrating life

this one. The shade of red I'm using for
my entire gown and everything is

actually the same shade of red as my
retroviral that I take every day for

But I need people to see that I take a
pill every day.

It's just like a vitamin.

I live a very beautiful, healthy life.

So for the people that are, like, you
know, scared or have, like, the wrong

or think this is some kind of death
sentence, I need to show them, like, I'm

alive. And I'm a big ray of fucking
sunshine.

Well, congratulations again on making it
to the top four. Thank you. I know that

you've been a fan of the show, but here
you are. You've had this experience, and

I want to know how that's been for you.
Again and again and again, it just feels

like such...

Like a full circle moment.

Yeah. The moment I saw Zoji's witch
Laura show.

Horrifying. And I was like, horrifying.

And I was like, I want to look like
that. I want to look like my drawing.

So I kind of want to shift the topic to
something more serious, if you don't

mind. And I kind of want to talk to you
about your journey and your battle with

cancer. I'm a very, like, immune
compromised person. I've always been.

doctors said to my face, hey, you have
cancer, it's stage three going into

four. It's pretty serious. You need to,
like, treat it, like, right now. I was

like, you know what? I'm going to do
this thing. I'm going to power through

this. I'm going to do whatever it takes
to get better so I can do drag again.

Yeah. And actually, season three of
Dragula got me through.

a lot of the chemotherapy. And now I'm
here, it's such a crazy fucking thing.

We're all very happy that you're here.
Oh, absolutely.

Yeah. Well, trying to bring things back
a little bit to kind of your drag, you

have made it a point to include
references to your own culture multiple

this season. You know, why do you feel
like it's important for you to do that?

I'm super glad to like actually
represent that. And I hope this inspires

of like international ghouls and like
Asian ghouls to like...

audition for the show that i was like i
was able to do this well presenting

myself and my culture in this platform
yeah oh it's so exciting thank you you

are about to compete in the grand finale
of your very favorite show yes so i

want to know how you're going to be
approaching these floor shows and we

details so let's talk about your
inspiration for horror the horror look

planned the moment I finish
chemotherapy, I'm going to have all

tumors and, like, faces growing out of
me. My gown is like a pageant gown

silhouette, but made out of hospital
gown. And I have an IV pole with IV

plugged inside of me.

I'm preparing a chemo diary that sums
up, like, my experience in chemotherapy.

My performance is going to be reading it
on stage.

It's going to be very emotional.

To me, it's almost like a healing
ritual.

Oh, yeah, absolutely.

And so finally, we have filth. I know a
little bit about your filth, and it's

something that, I mean, I feel
personally very strongly connected to as

an Asian person. Like, what's your filth
look?

So my filth look is going to be a
representation of how me and a lot of

American, and Asian folks...

feels when they're met with a Western
gaze on our culture, basically.

Especially like going into this corona
pandemic, a lot of us were faced with

that hate face to face. So that I felt
so personally disgusted by.

There was just no other option for me.
This was what I wanted to do. So my

garment is almost like a old comic, like
a racist comic cartoon character.

I want to make it as over exaggerated as
possible. So I'm displaying how ugly.

and ridiculous.

this can be.

Wow. I'm excited to see this floor. I'm
excited to see all of your floor shows.

Yeah, I'm so fucking excited.

Well, it sounds like you have a lot of
work to do. Oh, absolutely. So we're

So here we are.

So satisfied.

That was incredible.

So are you happy that we kept all four
of them around now? It was a very big

decision and one that shouldn't have
been taken lightly to kind of rearrange

rules of our own game here and bring a
final four instead of a top three. And I

absolutely think we made.

the right decision.

Well, if we were ever going to do it,
this is the season because it's season

four. So I just want to remind everyone
at home, we will not be doing a top

five, a top four, or anything like that
ever again.

So let's take a look at these floor
shows and let's start with Glamour. As

should.

Sigourney's lip sync was flawless.

It was spot on. She's made to lip sync a
song. She's so expressive.

And you said it. She has poise and
space.

Poise. Of course.

it was going to be flawless, right? That
was the expectation. And her skin was

going to be porcelain, and there would
be bling. And it was good.

I expected so much more, though. And I
think because she set the glamour bar so

high for herself, I think it just felt a
little bit short.

Glamour is your thing.

Like, I thought she was going to drive
onto the stage in, like, a Mack truck

full of jewels, you know? I thought it
was going to be an explosion of glamour,

and it just wasn't.

Let's talk about Dali's glamour look.
Everything about Dali's glamour look.

dream dolly there was an underlying
androgyny you know you had a very

silhouette from the waist down kind of a
more masculine leaning top it was

really meticulous i liked the fabric i
liked all the little jeweled details and

as far as the lip sync which was a huge
part of this right he nailed the lip

sync dolly is a natural born performer
and i love to see it so let's talk about

saint's glamour i was happy that saint
killed the lip sync Saint's glamour hair

was the moment.

Agreed. Gorgeous.

Agreed, agreed, agreed. Deadly gorgeous.

But I also think that there was a little
bit of a misfire in this shape. Right.

Because of course when the wings came
out, it was glamour and it was gorgeous

and there was like a dramatic moment,
but we lost her shape.

I would have liked to see her maybe push
it really far, but no matter what she

wears, she looks beautiful and
glamorous.

She knows how to beat her face. She
knows glamour. Toto gave us a great lip

as well.

It was well delivered. It was feminine.
It was in character.

I loved it. The fabrics were so rich and
saturated and the way that they

overlaid and the belt tied. I mean, it
was very fashionable, very chic.

And Hoso showed me that she can paint
kind of soft. Her movements can be kind

like fluid. And I was kind of like taken
on a journey. I love the braids that

were woven around her head. It was just
so sophisticated.

And the performance was.

Very solid.

Okay, so let's move on to the filth
category.

And I want to remind you, usually the
people that do well in filth match the

crown every season. Oh.

I want to talk about Dolly's filth
first.

Okay. I think that Dolly's filth
performance was one of my favorite

of the night.

The performance was scary and sexy and
sad and morbid and filthy and fabulous.

Yes, it really just...

It had a message about how gross and
voyeuristic our society is. At the end,

like, you're engaged, and you're like,
where is this going, where is this

And then, pop, he's dead.

You became conscious of the fact that
you'd been watching the whole time.

It was almost like a weird perverted
mirror put in front of you. It was filth

a way that I'd been looking for for a
while. Filth can be elevated, and it can

be thought -provoking, and it can just
be anything that disturbs you. And I'm

glad that Dolly realized that and
brought a little bit of that to the

shows tonight.

So let's talk about Saint's filth look.

Oddly, I thought Saint's filth look
maybe almost was more glamorous than

glamour look. I totally agree.

That wig was beautiful. She was so
snatched in, and I loved the oversized

gloves. And it was conservative and
dainty, and she was very aware of her

performance, which I appreciated because
I've been trying to get her to think

about being in her body and being stage
aware.

Now that I've gotten a little, I want it
all. I see. Okay.

So let's talk about Sigourney's filth
performance.

So oddly, I thought this was a more
glamorous look than her glamour look

What do you think?

She looked like a vision. Her stage
awareness is so elevated and so high

even something as simple as just looking
in the mirror, she wants to hold, hold,

and then give it to the audience. The
anticipation.

I always know a filth performance is
good when it starts to make me feel like

I'm going to throw up, and that one did.

The concept, I guess, could have been
executed a little better, but I think

did a good job.

Same. All right, so let's talk about
Hoso's still look.

When an artist gets up and tells a story
like that through a performance about

their pain, being on the receiving end
of these ignorant stereotypes, you feel

that. It hit me like a dagger in the
heart.

Her show was shocking and disturbing and
hard to watch and sad in all the best

ways. It was queer performance art.
People today like to be super

correct and yell at everybody.

Sure, it makes the conversation
impossible.

But a show like this, it says everything
that you could say to someone about how

offensive something is in one five
-minute performance.

That was a fantastic, built floor show.

Brilliant. Mm -hmm.

Let's move on to the horror category.

My favorite.

Where to begin?

Let's start with Sigourney. I love
Sigourney's horror performance. I think

was her strongest of attendance tonight.
I love this mad scientist trope. It

showed off Sigourney in all the best
ways. This was her at her best.

Mm -hmm. She showed us some comedy.
Yeah. And she showed us her ability to

down and give us a beautiful
performance.

She had the reveal.

She had the transformation, the pulling
the skin off, the horrific reaction.

When she snapped the jacket, you weren't
expecting it to be that sexual, like

that hot. And I was like, oh, fuck her
for that. I love it. So let's talk about

Dali's horror performance. And I'm going
to start. I did think that Dali had a

great silhouette when he first came out
for his horror look. The gnawing of the

jaw was pretty horrifying.

I really like this performance because I
love an artist who isn't afraid to

comment on something like the church
because the church is not untouchable.

have this decrepit, decaying, sunken
creature, which some people might look

bishop and see exactly that.

I understand that it was blasphemous,
but I almost wish it had went further.

I don't know, it was a little PG -13 for
me.

Anyways, let's talk about Saints' horror
looks.

This look was successful in my opinion.
I love that she made these wings out of

just coat hangers and plastic.

Yeah. I love all the teeth. They were
just everywhere. They were on her hands

rings. They were like in her earring.
They were all around her mouth. It was

creepy. It was disgusting.

It was scary.

I thought she did a good job.

Her tooth fairy was...

the quintessential childhood nightmare
personified.

The hair was brilliant and detailed, the
mouth and the teeth, and I read them as

like gums and sinew just kind of like
dripping out. She was horrifying.

Let's move on to Hoso's horror.

For Hoso, she's already done the
multiple face thing.

I look at performances like Hoso's
performance as...

Very, very personal. I think it was very
well done. It was truly a Teratoma

nightmare personified.

And honestly, it really hit me in the
heart. All the things that she was doing

on stage was just bloodletting her pain,
which I love. And that is performance

art at the highest level. However, was
it a horror?

Look. I think maybe the growth could
have been taken a little further. And

maybe the dress could have been a bit
more fashionable.

But this was such an intimate display of
a terrifying moment in another person's

life. I think she told it so well.

It was just so powerful.

So let's review our finalists as we get
a little closer to decide which one of

them is going to be crowned the next
drag super monster.

I'm going to start with Sigourney. Okay.

Sigourney, in my opinion, has brought
something different to Dragula. We've

never seen someone with this sort of
beauty pageant, killer queen energy.

Her stage awareness is so elevated.

She knows how to put on a show. I also
think that she has such a striking,

brandable look and face.

which I love and I think is important
and a winner. She's like a comic book

to life. Oh, we love that. But let's
talk about when you throw Sigourney a

curveball. Okay. Because we did throw
her a couple of curveballs this season,

and I think when we take her out of her
comfort zone, she can get tripped up.

But I admire her spirit because she
tries.

Let's talk about things.

I think that...

Saint is kind of a beacon, and a beacon
that we don't often get to see. We don't

see alternative drag artists that look
like Saint, and I think we need to

because Saint is talented across the
board. Saint's shows tonight showed a

array and scope of work that reaches
into all the tenets of Dragula. She has

style, she has sophistication, she's
evolving as a performer, you know, and

that's the thing.

What are we looking for in a Dragula
winner? What all do they have to be? We

rule the night. It's like what we do. We
create these fantasy nightlife

experiences, but we want a performer
that can really kill it on the stage.

And I want to be clear, Saint's not a
bad performer. She's just competing with

incredible performers.

Agreed. So let's talk about Hoso.

Hoso is an incredible artist.

Like, we saw some amazing stuff from
such a young mind. Incredible.

And diverse, right? Because she's been
funny, she's been terrifying.

Kooky and goblin and wacky. And she has
brought a performance art element to

Dragula that we have not seen in a
while.

She creates these monsters, literal,
visual monsters, and tells stories with

them, and that's something I love.

She's done very well in the competition.

One of the shortcomings that we saw,
both on the stage and off, was an

to professionalism, to being ready.

That's the question. Is Hoso ready to
take on the responsibility of winning

show? And I'm not sure what the answer
is to that.

so let's talk about dali his story is so
interesting because he came on season

two he almost self -eliminated himself
and then sat there and thought about it

for years rooted over that then we bring
him back as a surprise contestant on

season four here and i feel like he did
well in every challenge you could see

that Dali was transformed.

You don't get that chance in your life.
You don't get your chance to go back in

time and undo something that you feel
like is a wrong.

You know, to put someone forward who
really doesn't care about gender or the

binary and to let him go out and succeed
and live proudly out loud, I think that

would be really inspirational for
people.

No, I agree. Without the need to overly
explain, Dali does it with flair in a

very unique way.

Yeah, you know, there's something magic
about Dali, I think.

All of these artists are incredible, and
I think all of them would be a

fantastic winner of the show. I do want
to say this. I'm not looking for someone

to go out and represent our brand. I
mean, we know at this point the two best

people to represent this brand is us.

The show is about our history in drag
and all the kind of crazy parties that

we've thrown and all the crazy shit that
we've done over the years. So we're not

looking for someone to fill our shoes.

We're looking for someone to have fun
with us. We're looking for someone to

our monster army and to kind of spread
our message.

And honestly, I think any of the four of
these competitors could do a great job

at that. I totally agree. But the fact
is only one can win, and I'm ready to

crown the world's next drag super
monster.

It's a very hard decision, but I think
I'm ready as well.
