went to therapy, it was just so
disjointed, his treatment, his non

32. So six years. Yeah.

My father shot himself in December of

so 2002.

December 2002 is when he killed himself.

I always liked these scrambled egg
sandwiches he would make on white bread

mayonnaise. People think they sound
disgusting, but they are delicious.

We just were very close.

This was cool because my dad designed
it, and then he also built it. Wow.

And there was a wood -burning stove.

He would actually make pancakes on that

I'm going to tell you all something.

This is the last spot where I saw my dad
laugh.

And I can remember it so clearly. I was
leaving for one of my last dance

performances, actually.

I remember saying goodbye to him and I
tugged on his toe.

He was real sick.

Got him very out of it.

And he died the next day.

Whenever I would pass the sofa in high
school or whenever, he would always hold

his hand out and I would slap it and
he'd do that.

He'd give me a thumbs up sometimes.

And he was on that sofa and he was out
of it.

And I was leaving and he didn't.

put his hand out.

I thought it was a little strange, and
so I just grabbed his big toe and kind

pulled on it, and that was the last time
I saw him.

And I just, you know, those moments
where you think, I should have, like,

with him or something.

Like, beyond the tug -toe.

Because I'd come here to get some wine
for the party after the performance, and

just those little moments.

It's so weird.

I wish I'd sat down, even for five
minutes.

And I feel really bad that I didn't.
That was just so selfish of me.

Last time I saw him.

I remember when he died, I wouldn't come
in this room. It took me months.

I would stand over there. I couldn't
