by six complete engine companies

it is still out of control.

The cruiser hampered
in their work,

not only by high flames
and smoke

caused by burning rubber
tires...

supposed to get a flu shot,

Uh, yes, sir, but you'd be
surprised how resourceful

your officers can be when it
comes to ducking a needle.

The popular notion is that the
shot gives the flu,

rather than prevents it.

If everybody would spend
a little time

on personal maintenance,
we might have a fair shot

at the criminals in this town.

sent us the previous notes.

are completely different.

Lettered in magazine cutouts.

While this one, excuse me,
isn't even printed.

It's written in longhand.

By the way, that's very unusual
for a note of this type.

I can't recall ever seeing
anything like that before.

You know that it could be sent
by someone completely outside

of the A.B.M. movement
whose handwriting

we couldn't identify
even if we managed

to round up
most of the group, you know.

That's a very good deduction.

This note was probably written
by some loner who either wants

to stir us up or who plans
to do some real damage

which he intends to have blamed
on the other group.

We don't have much time
to figure out which.

It doesn't take a student of
Kipling to know what they mean

by "The Dawn Comes Up
Like Thunder".

We gotta get something
on the radio.

Listen, uh, start checking out
all public buildings

that might be open at this hour,
