From the time I remembered,

the people in this house called me "young master"

I don't know the meaning of "young master".

But I have my own name.

It seems that only my mother can call me that name.

My mother began to call me young master soon

I asked her the reason, but she refused to tell me.

I came to this town occasionally.

It was extremely cold that day on the surface of the river

The water became very heavy and dense.

No sound was made when the paddles hit the water.

The boat owners shouted in confusion.

It was said that the river would be frozen soon.

When I was six years old,

My mother was sick.

She called my name when she was dying.

My father dragged his paraplegia,

and cried crazily.

He blamed my mother didn't give a birth to a buy for him.

His business of selling firecrackers lasting 300 years,

would be ended in my hand.

I didn't understand at that time.

Until my parents went pass at my 19,

I inherited my family business.

And understood my father.

The head of the boat

was unwilling to put the boat in the downriver before the river was frozen.

He cried the boat owners wares

to put the boat towards the wharf.

Nobody called me young master.

The people who lived near here call me the buss.

But what is boss?

I can't understand.

I think maybe the person who is the head of firecracker business owned by Cai family.

In fact,

there is a steward in the house.

There is a master in the workshop.

Every firecracker shops in the town

have their shopkeepers.

Is "the boss" meaningful?

I have asked the head of the boat.

He said there was no boat in the downriver.

He was afraid that when the boats were frozen,

the boat trackers couldn't pull them up.

Maybe I should stay in this small town filling with the smell of gunpowder

throughout the whole winter

Brother!

There are several guys who are good at workmanship awaiting in the yard.

You come and have a look.

Get out!

What is that?

Stolen! You pick one.

How much can you earn by selling this facial mask one day?

Is it enough to buy two biscuits?

Bad guy! Bad guy! stop!

Stop! Stop!

Bad guy!

You stole my tobacco during these three days.

I finally caught you!

You want to run away!

I have to beat your hands out today.

You have no way to go.

Bad guy! Stop!

Stop!

What are you doing?

That is not your business, poor guy!

Pat your hungry stomach.

How much courage do you have?

Poor wretch!

Fine. Fine.

You, such a poor wretch.

I let you interfere my business.

I let you interfere to my business.

Fine!

Everyone sees that, right?

Look! This is the tobacco from my shop!

It is stolen by him.

What I said is true, right?

Come and have a look!

It is from my shop, right?

I did it, not him.

What are you doing?

Brother. Brother. Forget it. Forget it.

Brother!

I won't forbid you choking Boss Wang to death.

But you should change a place.

Don't let him die in front of the gate of Cai He Firecracker!

How about that?

You just change a place,

and carry him to the beach of Yellow River.

You can do want you want to do.

Brother.

Brother. Just give me face.

Zang San!

Put the luggage of this master to the building of the back yard.

Boss!

Master Zhao came.

He is awaiting out of the dour.

He asked whether you had something to order.

After going into the last Moon of the lunar calendar,

it is time to hire an artisan-painter to welcome the god for the house.

You are right.

The Talent Wang's health is not good.

His hands shake seriously.

I am afraid that he can't do this job this year.

I heard that there is one from other town.

Follow your instruction!

And the end of the year is coming.

That is the busy time of our business.

The workers can't go home for nearly half month.

It is better to hand out this year's salary,

so that they can send the money back in advance.

Don't worry. I have prepared.

Moreover

In the past,

the money for all the workers who had worked for us

should be sent out according to the old rule.

What was the amount when my father was alive?

You know that.

Just follow your words.

I, on behalf of them, thank you.

Go!

Mrs. Want, displace the coal.

Shopkeeper! the sedan chair of steward has been arrived.

Put things in order quickly! Hurry up!

Oh, Master!

Why not give us a message,

so that I can welcome you in the wharf.

My health is good.

Walk slowly! Master!

Enter into the gate of Cai family. Nu.

Who are we?

Who are we having this kind of skill, right?

We are not competent to serve.

Brother.

The gate of Cai family is different from my Firecracker Shop!

That is a rich family.

If you put a boat into the Yellow River,

the firecracker for Cai family will be exploded to Yellow River.

Even the birthday party for the Emperor was celebrated through the firecracker made by Cai family.

The celebration for President Yuan

depends on the Cai's firecracker.

If the Yellow River is frozen,

the Mongolian will use Cai's firecracker to break the ice.

Think about that, brother.

I should widen my knowledge.

You did it.

Fine.

I like your character.

The buss who has one arm from Cai He Firecracker Shop told me

the house of Cai

is located at the back of that mountain which is at the beach.

He told me that mountain is the pile of gunpowder.

Put several baskets into the pot and boil them, then they will become saltpeter.

Put some ash on them. They will be the medicine.

Depends on this mountain this water and raises this small town.

I am the artisan-paintermto paint the door-god.

Take off your leather shoes.

Your sole has iron nail.

You will walk the "taboo" out.

My place always boiled the "medicine".

Put your iron appliances in order.

Don't go to everywhere if you are free.

Don't go the place where you should not go.

This buss is so quite.

You should make your voice down when you speak and do your job.

You should make your legs wider if you want to fan.

Don't worry. We are good persons.

Fine.

Go with me to the front yard to see the buss after you change your shoes.

Is Master Zhao better?

Go back to the buss' house.

Better but a little coughing.

Mrs. Wang, take some pseudo-ginsengs to the front yard.

The end of the year is coming.

Steward dares not to be down.

You should take care of them. Go. Yes.

Boss!

The people who draw the dour-god have been arrived.

He is awaiting out side the porch.

Ask him to upstairs. Yes.

It is heard that you skill is good.

Thanks.

There are 72 doors in our house,

and 36 mugs.

We hope that you can draw out the feeling of happiness.

But I should make a statement first.

There are a lot of rules in this house.

Steward

Please lead him to settle down in the south yard.

And tell him all the rules. Yes, buss.

Followed

Don't go around if it is not necessary.

Enjoy your dinner in the yard.

You just eat

what the workers eat.

It is not good to have a rest when you have a job in this house.

Fire! Put out the fire quickly!

Help!

Move the things out quickly! Hurry up!

Come on! Give me water!

What are you doing?

Why not take the water here?

Move the wooden framework away.

Take the water here.

If there is something happened on them,

you will get the money yearly according to the old rule.

They can't be hungry if our family still has money.

Who?

Steward.

Please, forgive me! Damned!

Steward, you are a good person.

Please say something good for me in front of the buss.

Please, steward.

Boss! It is my fault! Boss!

Please, forgive me this time! Boss!

Please, forgive me!

You should be punished by the family rule I don't want to interfere.

Steward, please, forgive me!

Buss, forgive me! Punish him by the family rule.

I don't dare any more! Please, forgive me!

Steward, please forgive me!

Brother, please whip faster!

I am afraid I can't bear it if it lasts lung.

Brother, you should bear it.

What's wrong, steward?

You owe me nothing. Take it back.

Do you look down upon me or think that it is few?

I don't mean that.

Don't just keep your face.

Take it!

I don't want to owe anyone anything.

Me mo.

I earn from drawing.

It is Master Zhao who invited me

not I beg to here.

Steward, take the money.

I am busy.

I need to keep my face even if I am pour.

Fine. There is some sound if I threw it.

We can discuss it in the Sixth Shop of the downtown.

I have mentioned in the last letter sent to the buss

that the price is reasonable.

And, we are local here.

There are some relations here.

So give him

30 acreages of rice paddy.

You mean...

Buss, you are right.

Our house in this downtown should have a decent dour.

It is reasonable even if it is expensive.

Recently, the lined of firecracker develops quickly in the south,

including Liuyang, Shangli, Luqi and Guangdong.

It is a promising line in the North.

But the situation of downtown is in messy.

So it is not easy to do the business.

We just can maintain our business with difficulty.

What did you say just now?

I said the situation of downtown was in messy.

I can't tell you clearly about the reason.

And I don't know what kind of mood

pushed me walk into

this yard where I haven't been for many years.

This is the place where I played in my young.

At that time, my little cousin lived here.

He leaved afterwards.

I have never been here.

Who? What are you doing?

Boss!

I came to find Steward.

Just on the way and come to have a look.

Sit down please. Let me do it.

Sit down please.

Your drawing is good.

You must hire a good artisan-painter.

My parents died early.

The poor talent who knows drawing had me in his care

So I just learned from him.

How can I make myself a living without some skills?

It is said that you should add some color on this fish.

Steward!

Boss!

Why did you come to the South yard?

Steward.

Go to the room and make a tea for our artisan-painter.

Hearing about the things happened on you

is interesting.

I haven't the rich experience.

I just walked about hundreds of miles

and did my job with the poor people.

When I have a rest, we just talk everything together.

In fact, there is something I didn't see.

But just heard.

What I know can't be compared with the talents.

The talents!

The books are the old books.

What they talk is the old things and old rules.

The more they say,

the more I forget.

You are right.

Oh, I should go now.

Continue your job.

Take care.

I have been doing in this house more than 20 years.

Until now, I didn't taste this good tea.

You guy are smug.

Do you call me?

Little Man, come in and have a sit.

Tight?

Yes, he has.

Is it true?

More than 20 years in this house,

I dare not to tell lies.

Master treated you kindly when he was alive

What did Master say when he was dying?

Master said

Hostess was young.

She was not familiar with the business in the workshop He asked me to pay more attention to it.

What else?

By ancestors. There is rule made by ancestors.

That hostess could not get married.

That means she cannot have any child.

Even ruin this family business.

It cannot be inherit by somebody with other family name.

Great. You deserve the Master's likeness.

Xian Manzi,what is Hostess doing?

You know clearly what you should not do.

Give her more warnings when she meets some occasions.

So I'm leaving.

The person who makes decisions in the house is Hostess.

In the workshop is me.

Don't touch anything that you should not touch.

Wang Ma,after you finish the business in the up courtyard.

Go to the southern courtyard.

And bring a box of white medicine to the master worker drawing Door-god.

Is the master worker drawing Door-god in?

Who is that?

I am your forefather.

I hear that Hostess came to southern courtyard several days before.

He has gone to the drawing building.

I heard Hostess laughing happily.

That has never happened before.

When a woman is mature.

She can have any idea.

Do you think so?

Is dinner ready? Yes, yes.

How rich do you think the Cais is?

I hear that even you walking for three days and three nights.

Rich person has his difficulty.

During these years

Numberless rich families went bankrupt.

You haven't been here for lung. Don't make too much comment.

If it is heard by Manager Man,

You will be hit on your face.

I fear nothing.

The only property I have is my life.

I earn my living wherever I go.

Oh, Manager Man.

The workers are having their meal.

Brother, there you come.

Oh, the master worker drawing Door-god.

Does the meal offered by this family taste good?

Brother, have a seat.

Go to make a bowl of noodle for me.

Me?

What? Does that work provide you with indignity?

Black man, black horse, black mule.

(Black man)Bring a iron spoon in his waist.

Ask the black man where you are going.

To carry mine on the mountain on the western side.

You father usually said

Being industrious and thrifty is the base of managing a household.

Filial piety is the most important thing for self-cultivation.

The business of the Cais feeds many people here.

Hostess is the master of this area.

Your behavior

is the symbol of the family.

Ask the accountant's office to send the account books to the up courtyard.

I will spare some time to have a look at them.

Hostess Hostess Manager Man

Hostess

You are a rich and lucky person.

This courtyard is too old.

You'd better not come here too often.

If this house is old.

The whole Cai family is old.

Manager Man, the end of December is approaching.

The Ban Village is urging their goods.

I suggest you pay more attention to the business in the workshop.

Don't not miss the delivery time.

Whether Hostess is rich or lucky

is fated in her last life.

I get used to the smell of this house.

Go for your business.

I think you

Hostess, your wearing this dress

must be nice.

What you drew is not like me It is worse than the door-god you draw.

Hostess.

Hostess, are you all right?

It was heard that he left the house the second day.

Only me who knows why he left.

I am determined to find him.

I don't believe he will leave the small town.

Who are you looking for?

I come for the door-god.

I only draw fish.

I don't draw door-god.

OK. Then I buy your fish.

Ten silver dollars for one piece.

I want 600 pieces.

If I work for the whole day,

I can only print 365 pieces.

But I sell none of them.

Xu Laoda.

I'm coming What do you mean,Hostess?

You go upstairs now.

Send that bad guy away.

I don't want to see him within the territory of the Cais.

Hostess, hostess.

Light cannons. This guy lit cannons.

Stop. Bala,bala.

Get out of the way.

Bitch! You dare to insist on what you said?

Put a maleizi in his bottom hole.

Hold on.

You fucking bad guy. You dare to insist on what you said.

Hostess.

How do you think to treat this poor guy?

It is a big taboo of the family to light cannons towards the house.

How to punish him?

There is a rule made by ancestors.

Manager Man.

What is the supreme punishment among the family rules?

Hostess, it is to bomb his dour.

To bomb his dam'?

What is to bomb his door?

Just to bomb him.

Hostess, the supreme punishment is to tie him with a big whip.

You this poor guy.

You cannot remember it without heavy punishment.

Manager Man.

Handle it as you like.

Take him away.

You these beasts. Fuckers.

How many hours do you think this guy can bear?

If he can bear over two hours.

I will pay for your beer.

Manager Man will pay for our beer.

Bad guy. Hold on for my brothers.

Everyone can get some beer after two hours.

Is it?

Have you heard that?

Hold on. You can have some beer if you hold on.

What's wrung?

What on earth happened?

He threw cannons towards the Cais house.

She called the beast Man Dihung to beat me.

And she wanted to put Maleizi in my bottom hole.

You said she is fucker?

How can such a little bitch be so cruel?

Are you hurt?

You deserve.

Don't you look for death when you come to make troubles in the Cais house?

Go to take a pot of hot water.

Hostess, do you look for me?

Send it to the Cais and the Ban Village.

To Xu Laoda.

Ask him to send for a doctor who can cure trauma.

If you want to go into the Cais,

You must be able to catch the soul of fireworks.

You are not qualified if you are unable to make fireworks.

He has gone.He left by the Yellow River,

Xu Lauda told me that.

He sold all he could sell.

I don't dare to wish his coming back.

Spring is coming.

The house remains the serenity as usual.

I still act as my hostess.

Go across the river every half of a month.

To cope with the family business in the small town.

It occurs to me something every time I cross this river.

But I forget it quickly.

It is strange.

The guy of the Ban Village told me

He, in the house of a fireworks businessman thousand miles away,

saw a person in their workshop.

I can't believe this is true.

But I cannot give up thinking.

Maybe this is true.

So I cross the river to the town more frequently from then on.

I seem to have a anticipatory feeling.

That maybe he will appear in the town suddenly.

Boss Qiao,you can trust us.

Even I Caihebao Village lose money.

We will provide you with ten thousand boxes of fireworks on time.

Boss Cai is welcome.

We two families have a business of over twenty years.

Cannot I trust you?

Sorry that I cannot send you further.

Hostess.

Hostess.

Hostess, you go out, go out.

You all listen.

I am originally a woman.

Rather than be your Hostess.

I prefer to be a woman.

Manager Man, what do you mean by doing so?

How do you treat our Hostess?

Say, say.

I fucked your Hostess. So what?

Kill me many times.

I will not complain.

Everything has changed.

Everyone in the house is not calm.

The workers when seeing me

Don't treat me as before.

The old house manager didn't eat anything.

He kept on giving incenses in the temple.

Manager Man hid in the workshop.

He kept on working and refused to see anybody.

I feel a kind of fear that I cannot express.

But I went to the town to see him.

He said he learnd making firework for coming back.

His coming back is for taking me away.

I don't know how to answer him.

If I don't see him by my own eyes.

None of you find it out.

That there is some evil on that guy.

For the living of tens of thousands of people in this town.

We must think of a method to fight against devil.

You are right.

Niu Bao.

Where are you?

We have to separate after our meeting.

I cannot bear it.

I want to marry you with eight big sedans.

Marry me with eight big sedans?

Tell Uncle Single-arm when we are near Caihebao Village.

If you cannot beat me to death.

If I am still alive.

Mother fucker.

What is this?

These like God or Ghost.

They have been bothering for totally three days and three nights.

They said they are the incarnation of my forefathers.

I fainted and didn't know how long I had fainted.

When I woke up.

Everybody of the house stood at knee in front of me.

Shouting Hostess.

You are leaving.

Nu, don't leave.

I want to marry you. Let me stay. I want to marry you.

Nu, I cannot get married.

Forefathers said I could not get married.

Use it on your way.

Touch the bank. Quick.

I want to get off the boat Let me get off the boat.

He has left. I decide to forget him.

What I am thinking at the moment.

Is whether to fit up the southern courtyard.

Or to expand the branch in the city.

Manager General

That guy Niu Bao has come back.

Then I have to leave now.

Who? who is it?

Me. It's me.

Open the door and let me in.

No, no.Go away.

Chunzhi, listen to me, please.

Don't say anything. I don't want to listen to anything.

Go away. Go.

Otherwise I will call somebody here.

Who is it?

I said I would marry you with eight big sedans.

Sin. It's sin.

All distinguished leaders.

Sorry that the Cais will trouble you.

Our Hostess is going to get married.

But the family rule doesn't allow her to do so.

So we ask for your opinions.

I think whether you can choose one who

has virtue and morality,

can distinguish the good from the bad, to marry you Hostess.

The second year of the Ming Calendar.

Li Laifu from Xiajia Village won the fireworks making competition.

And he is qualified to marry Hehua.

And he can obtain a land of 50 mu.

Hearing the word fireworks making competition.

I fear.

My dad was in the competition called Wanjialei

hurt on his private organ.

In the books left by forefathers,

isn't there any other method?

During these years,

You have learned almost all skills of the Cais.

You can be independent.

I ,Man Dihong, will serve the Cais all my life.

Without hesitation.

Xian Manzi.

You and me are fed by the Cais.

Do you understand?

Of course, of course.

Ok. I will talk about a marriage for you.

Nu. I have something to deal with today. Next day.

Boss Yu.

I, Man Dihong, will pay for everybody's beer today.

I pay for you all.

If you take charge of the Cais' business.

My small store will depend upon you.

Little business, little business.

Take your time to your beer. I have to leave now.

Villains holding sway.

Get out of the way. Get out of the way.

General Manager Man is coming.

General Manager Man is coming.

Are you tired walking by the bank?

This way, this way.

General Manager, you have come.

Where is your shopkeeper?

He is in. Have a seat inside the house, please.

Brother, why are you free today to cross the river?

Brother, please come inside the house.

Zhang San,make some tea for General Manager.

Hostess, please have a look at it.

Hostess, Xu Lauda is willing to be the guarantor of Niu Bao.

Hostess, you?

He.

He has gone.

I should have known before.

I won't go to the town recently.

Not because it is not convenient.

I know somebody is saying that the child I have doesn't have a legal father.

Let it be. So what?

I don't care.

But that cannot be heard by the child.
