But with all the problems
we're up against,

it can't surprise you
that we've hit a few snags.

a tough road ahead of us.

We're gonna need strong leaders
in the CFD

who can handle
all the extra pressure.

and the Fire Department
have finalized a plan

to consolidate and reduce
the number of battalions

in the CFD.

hiring freeze,

So what's our solution?

- Firefighters.

- What if we
redeploy firefighters

to take some of the pressure
off of our paramedics?

Firefighters are already
on the city payroll

so the hiring freeze
doesn't apply,

and every firefighter
is already

a trained and certified EMT.

- Plus, with their shifts
getting cut back,

every firefighter
we know will be lining up

for the extra hours.
Everybody wins.

say everybody.
