with them or Tripp's capsule

his satellites are dead. But...

his satellites aren't
the only ones up there.

Meridian satellites.

They've been up there since the '90s.

And they still work?

as a DoD network for military ops.

They were built to last.

So we can use this to connect to those?

Meridian satellite that's able

to relay to the capsule,
and then it's person-to-person.

There's one problem.

Meridian is line-of-sight technology.

It needs to see a satellite to connect,

and that satellite needs
to see the capsule.

So we have to wait until
their orbits line up above us,

and then we have a very limited window

- to talk to them.

15 at the most.

And then we lose them for over an hour

until they come around again.

Actually, there are two problems.

You said it's line-of-sight.

So that means this clunker
won't work inside the building.

that phone from the roof

and patch it into
the call center's comms system.
