No prep is one of the most intense
competitions in motorsports. What's

dude? I got a quarter million dollars in
this car!

Where drivers race down an eight -mile
track at speeds nearing 200 miles per

hour. There is no room for error. One
mistake here, you're going home.

For the last five years,

Drivers have gone head -to -head racing
for an individual championship.

Ryan Fireball Martin.

But this year, we're doing something
we've never done before.

We have eight teams led by eight
captains.

This is no prep like you've never seen
it before.

The racing is more intense.

Everything that we're used to is no
longer.

We got the money.

That's the most important part.

And winnings are bigger than ever.

Game on, baby.

That's huge. Pots are bigger. Cars are
faster.

With nearly a million dollars on the
line.

We've been starting off this wonderful
day here at Virginia Motorsports Park.

Today is our first 32 -car invitational
where racers can earn points for their

team. Ten points per round. The further
you go, the more points you get.

We're the only team to have all five of
us make it in, and that says something.

Since there are 40 racers on teams and
only 32 spots in the invitational, that

means not everyone is going to get to
compete.

Obviously, the more racers a team has
in, the better chance they have to pull

ahead.

Today, invitational points.

Yes. $40 ,000.

There are zero ducks in this deal. Like,
everybody's fast. Everybody.

This field is insane.

20 racers that won in our qualifier last
week were guaranteed a spot this week.

Then, everyone else had to race for the
final 12 spots. And there were some

surprises.

Team Captain Bodie was having car
problems and couldn't even make it to

race. And Jerry Bird, the number one
draft pick overall, lost to Rich Bruder,

which means he is not racing in the
Invitational here in Virginia.

It's just depressing because I feel like
you picked me first and I'm kind of

letting you all down because I ain't
shining like I should.

Well, you got the new car. You got the
new car blues. We all know how you run.

The good thing is that you guys never
say quit.

Yeah, we're not quitting. Like I said,
since last week, we've been just at it.

mean, I'm going to wait a car out in the
first two races.

But despite these surprises, the final
32 -car lineup is a strong one.

Team captains Disco Dean, Mike Murillo,
and Justin Swanstrom were all able to

race their way in.

That means that all the team captains,
except Bodie, will be racing tonight.

One of the issues that we see with
Birdman's car, again, it's nothing to do

Birdman as a driver.

It's all to do with his car, and his car
hasn't been doing good.

So, I hate to bring this up.

He hasn't made the trip.

Right. Can we put somebody in that has
made the trip in his spot? The only

reason I say that is because I just
don't see any sign of improvement just

I know it's coming, but I'm just trying
to look for help for our team. Right. I

just hate to roll in the first round
with not making the trip at all.

I'd like to ask him and talk to him and
get a point blank his feel for it.

Okay. Let's go next door and talk to him
about that.

This is the year that we're doing team
championships.

So team captains get to choose who's
going to be on their team. And before

race, we can make a trade or we can drop
someone down and pick somebody up from

the pool.

That's something I have to think about
when it comes to Birdman.

What's up, girls? What are y 'all doing?

Birdman got a win in the qualifier, but
the only reason he got a win is because

his opponent broke.

Birdman has to get out of it.

5 of 60 foot.

And in testing, he only made it 60 feet.
He didn't even make it 60 feet.

Birdman has issues there on the hit. He
has to get out of it just past the 60

foot cone.

So it's my duty as a team captain to
make a choice whether I should drop

down, pull somebody else up, but I just
don't know how Birdman's going to take

that.

Where do you feel that you are right
now?

as far as making the trip this first
round?

Not.

So what we wanted to do, but wanted to
talk to you first and see how you felt

about yours, is possibly pull Dominator,
or if you are adamant that you guys

think that you're okay.

I'm 50 -50 on it. We have T -minus less
than 10 minutes to pull Doc, Dominator,

Dr. Dominator, basically.

I don't know where I stand on it. I
really don't. I don't know that Dr.

Dominator could do anything for it.

But do whatever you want to do. It's up
to you. You're the captain.

I know, but that's not how this works.
You know how that is. Yeah, we want to

all talk about it. Yeah. You're not
going to stay in the pool if we do that.

promise you. So what's the timeline?
What are we looking at? We bring

up for this race while we're here in
Virginia. You know what I mean? Yeah.

next week it goes back to the same thing
we had.

Yeah. Okay.

It sucks for me. I don't like it.
Anybody in this position wouldn't like

But you just got to swallow that pill
and move on.

If that's what y 'all think is best for
the team, then that's what needs to be

done. And I would probably be saying the
same thing from that end. If you're

okay with it, I'm going to do Dominator.
I've struggled the past few years. And

with the car being hurt.

So what's your deal? What's your
thoughts on Dom?

Is he not? No, well, he had the motor
out. He had the motor out yesterday.

Oh, he did?

Yep. At the end of the day, they got to
do what's right for the team.

I'm good. So how do you feel about, how
was your testing?

We made it 60 foot, rattled the tires,
came back, made a shock adjustment, and

went right down. Can you bump in? Is it
going to bump in? Yes.

So Dominator wasn't at the draft, but we
know he's been out testing.

I know he's been struggling, but I'm
hoping and praying that he is the guy to

replace Birdman for now.

We need you to come on our team.

And it may be only temporarily. I get
it. Okay. I totally get it.

Man, that was tough.

All right, so I do believe I have all of
our racers here. There's 32 of them

racing for that Invitational Team
Championship.

For those that were here last night, you
saw the Grade 8. You got to see Ryan

Martin win that race last night. $10
,000 in his pocket. Oh, yeah.

Today, a little different.

All these drivers are on their
respective teams.

And also, we've had our first
substitution of the season. There is a

pool that you can pool drivers from, and
one team has elected to do that.

Team Mike Murillo has pooled from the
reserve pool.

They have sent Birdman down to the
reserve pool.

It has brought up Dominator.

Dominator is now on team.

Murillo picking up Dominator, and it
just blows my mind. I just don't

understand. He wasn't even at the last
race.

So for Murillo to not even come over and
talk to me about it, give me the

opportunity, huge kick in the... So I'm
going to go on record saying that if

Murillo needs me later in the year, my
answer would be hell no.

So... We're going to move into the chip
draw now.

There's some great matchups heading into
the first round of racing today, and

three sets of teammates drew each other.
Mike Murillo and Scott Taylor, Ryan and

Robin Roberts, and Lizzie versus Chris
Rankin from Kai's team.

They do have the option to trade chips
to break those matches up, but it's the

first points race, so there might be a
different strategy.

All right, my teams that drew each
other, can y 'all step forward here,

Hey, Kyle. Well, you're first in line.
That's great.

So we have three teams that have drawn
their teammates for a race. I would like

for Scooter and Mike to swap it up if
they would like to.

Scott and I drew each other first round.
So it's not an ideal situation. You

don't want to race your teammates.

However, I always look at things from
the big picture.

Any other way, it's a possibility that
he could go out and I could go out.

Neither one of us are accomplishing
anything. We're not getting any points

the team. So the good thing about it is
one of us is moving on and we start

accruing some more of those team points
that we need.

Well, but Ryan, you probably want to do
something different, don't you? I mean,

Ryan, what do you want to do?

You know, I was kind of thinking that
since we were the first two to draw each

other and you guys were the first two to
actually draw out of the bucket, you

know, we kind of figured that out first
that we should swap.

They were at the end. It really didn't
count. They were at the end.

So I thought maybe. Well, I mean, you
count. Trust me. Your car's real fast.

I'm just saying you're at the end.

So if we could do that, that's what I
think we should do.

And I think Kai's just trying to run
from me again.

But I'm just saying.

Wow. Kai.

Kai, is that true?

Maybe.

Mike, I got to hear from you. What do
you think should happen here? Well, with

all that being said, the last thing I'm
going to do is try to help Kai.

So we're going to stay where we are.

That being said, the last thing I want
to do is help Ryan. So we'll probably

stay, too.

the fastest cars is going to get out

Okay, so it sounds like the pairs are
staying as they are.

Nobody wants to swap except for Ryan and
Robin.

The matchups are set for the first round
of our $40 ,000 invitation.

Racers will earn 10 points per round,
going all the way to the finals where

winner will earn 60 points.

That's a whole lot of points to
accumulate throughout the season.

But these team captains want to start
the season off right with a win and get

ahead.

invitational event.

It's all about going rounds and earning
points for your team. You win, you move

on, you lose, you're out.

First pair, though.

We haven't made a hit with the rear
steer that's in it right now. Okay.

Whatever y 'all had in there against
Chuck 55 was a nice pass.

So we're out here at Virginia
Motorsports Park. Everybody knows it's

track. I won MPK the last two years in a
row. Plan on making it a three -peat.

It's the first invitational race that we
can actually start getting some points.

I drew Marty Robinson. I don't really
know a lot about him. I just know he's

a nice hot rod. He's got some really
nice parts, and I've seen him making

passes. I haven't had a chance to run
beside him yet, but here I am. I drew

first pair down the track, and I'm going
to see firsthand how fast he really is.

So you were chasing that Greenland we
had with the wiring.

Find anything?

Yep.

One of the wires I spent loose, so
that's why I was intermittently trying

shift and not shift.

So Marty Robinson drew last night's
runner -up in the great eight, Kai

It's not a matchup you want first round
in the invitation.

Maybe turning the power down a little
bit will help us get that shake out of

there and we can not be chasing broken
wires.

Have a better shot at it. So we've just
come back from round one, chip draw.

Drew, Kai, Kelly, all people.

Been chasing this Grimlin in the
transmission.

We found out last night the car didn't
even shift out of first gear. So

after chasing it for hours this morning,
we found the wiring issue.

Wire came loose out of the computer, got
it all fixed.

Car's shifting now, so feel pretty good
about this next run. Coming up with

Invitational.

Invitational first round coming at you
right now over the left lane. That is

going to be Marty Robertson going up
against Kai Kelly. Kai Kelly in the

lane.

Should be a good run for us.

Nice job right down through there. I
didn't have a clue what we were up

so we just swung at it. Old car carried
the tires probably about 500 feet the

whole path.

It was dead hooked up, first pair down.

We got a hot rod, ladies and gentlemen.

The Buffalo Nickel.

Oh, Buffalo Nickel, man. Those are
awesome.

I ain't never seen a Buffalo nickel,
man. I think it's a good look.

Let's get this first round out of our

So I went out for a first -round chip
draw. You know, me, Callie, Jim Howe are

in it. I think we all got good chip
draws.

I'm second pair out going up against B
-Rad.

Listen, I know he's going to be good on
the tree, and he's been going down the

track. So I think I got a good car. I
just need to go out there and do my job,

and let's see if we can pull off this
win.

You know, I got this new Buffalo nickel,
so let's see if we get some good luck

rolling our way.

And see if we can take on some wins.

about this is I haven't raced him for

years, and I've done racing two times
now, the first event and this again in

second event.

the tree, but I know I'm there, so we

just need to not be late, and I think we
might have him.

Going to get their first turns on the
wind light. Nice job. He'll move on to

next round. That was a close drag race
right there. B -Rad right next to him.

First round, I got Jim Howell.

In the last year, the dude was fast and
consistent.

The plan is to just gain points all the
time.

We can share data and we can help each
other so we can win this championship.

My team has four of us going into the
Invitational. We're guaranteed the 40

points for that.

That track is probably a greasy mess.

It's a little slippery.

Daddy Dave has made some good headway
here this year, so there's no ducks out

here in this pond anymore.

Everybody's a serious threat. The goal
is one round at a time. We don't want to

look ahead.

Had a little bit of a struggle bus here
getting everybody, you know, set up the

way we want them to.

But, you know, today I need myself and
Callie and Justin to go rounds.

Our biggest problem is what we don't do
or what we miss.

Jim taking on Daddy Dave. That's a
captain. If he can get rid of him,

threat. So if we can get rid of him and
go ahead and start getting some points.

You need to touch the lead.

Kick some ass, girl.

First round, I ended up drawing Chris
Rankin.

Of course, a teammate. Like, this don't
change, apparently.

Last year, I was drawing teammates left
and right.

Two of my team drew each other. I only
had four going into the Invitational

today, and now two of us have drawn each
other.

Ryan and Robin also drew each other, and
they just wanted to swap, but the team

decided that we would rather race each
other so we could for sure have one

person moving to the next round. That
would give us more points. It's all

the points.

If we would have raced both of them and
they would have beat both of us, we

would have had no points, and they would
have had 20. It's all about strategy

here. We're trying to get to that number
one goal, the team with the most

points.

We've got Chris Rankin in the right
lane. Going up against Lizzie Mewson in

left lane.

And Lizzie Mewson gets the win.

As soon as the lights turned green, I
left. And I saw him for a little bit,

I didn't see him anymore. Apparently he
had problems again.

And my car made a nice clean pass, got
there first, and got the win. So I was

happy with that. We got data to work
with. We're moving on to the second

This is a big race for Team Bodie.

Nate Saylor was Bodie's top pick in the
draft.

So he is counting on him to deliver a
ton of round wins.

All right, next pair coming at you right
here are going to be Kyle Kane over

there in the right lane going up against
Nick Saylor in the left.

This is the first of the points. This is
my first race ever in the Invitational

today. I'm pretty excited, pretty
anxious. I know what the car can do.

going to be really dependent on me.

Kyle had a horrible look in Ohio. He
kicked some rods out of the motor.

He got him a new motor. He earned his
spot in the Invitational today.

Kyle's got a lot of drive to him. He
knows that this is an opportunity for

to step up and shine above everybody
else. And that dedication and that

determination is what's going to get him
into the winner's circle and keep him

on my team.

This is the trickiest round to go
through.

Sun's blazing down on the track. First
round is a very important round for our

team. This is the first race here in
Virginia that 40 grand is up for grabs,

also the team championship points.

The more rounds we go, the more points
we accumulate. We need to stay ahead and

gain points to win this championship.

We've got Manny Alvarez in the left lane
going up against Rich Bruder in the

right.

Manny, he struggled a little bit. He had
some suspension problems.

He says he figured those out, so
hopefully he's got a hot rod this

We've got fast cars in our crew, and all
we need them to do is make good,

consistent passes, and we're going to be
all right.

I knew Rich has always been fast.

Rich's car runs good.

They've got a new screw blower
combination that runs very well. And

making moves and pivoting along the way.

They changed some stuff yesterday in
testing that helped the car. And every

I see that car gets faster.

We get one lucky round, that's our lucky
round. So, yeah.

Team Murder Nova came into the event
with all five of his drivers in the

round. Now he's down to three after
Manny's loss.

And he has drivers in each of the next
two races, including... Jeff Luck, his

number one pick going up against Bobby
Ducote. It sounds like Bobby's having

some problems in his pit.

Is there a pig?

He has one, but he needs a cam sensor.

He needs a cam sensor. Mike Bowman has
one. Oh, yeah, I was going to say, yeah,

we probably have one, yeah.

I had my team over here. Scott Taylor
was helping me.

Had one of his guys over here. We had an
issue with a sensor. It had a broke

wire in it.

So for now, I don't have the stuff with
me to do the pin. I would just butt

connect it. You got stuff to do that?

We want to win a team championship.

And in order to do that, all of us have
to be firing on all eight cylinders. So

the whole team jumped in and got it done
and fixed.

I got up there for round one, chip draw.

And when they called number seven, I was
ready. I wasn't waiting. I just walked

out there.

And then a little short dude, Jeff Lutz,
walked out and I said, this dude's been

racing since I was even thought of.

My number one draft pick, Jeff Lutz.

Hopefully he's got a nice hot rod this
weekend and he can do what I picked him

to do, you know, and that's go rounds.

He's going to be a front runner anytime
he races. That's what he does.

absolutely crucial to go around here

though I made the grade 8 last night,

we don't perform here today and I could
get passed up extremely easy.

I am feeling confident in my car.

We tend to be the slowest first round.
You cannot do this here. You cannot make

any mistakes against Chuck 55.

He is very fast. We were in the same
position last night. We have the same

amount of points in the grade 8. You
could argue and say that we're very

matched here, and I'm up for the
challenge.

All right, Daddy, let's go.

We still were struggling a little bit on
that short game. You know, from the hit

to about 100 feet, we're struggling.

Going into this round, I'm not going to
lie, I'm a little bit nervous.

I feel like our cars are pretty closely
matched.

And Kayla's got two teammates that's
running identical combinations.

And her tuner that they share is going
to have the data to know what the track

will hold ahead of time. He can go back,
make a few changes.

So they're going to have a tuning
advantage.

I don't want to make any big changes,
big swings on the converter pressure

now because I don't want to be out in
the left field going up there first

This is an important round because if we
lose this round, we could possibly be

racing our way in. We don't want to take
that chance.

We're going to go out there and pull
back.

There, that's going to be Chuck 55 going
up against Kayla Morton.

Kayla, she's doing amazing, and we're
all standing on her shoulders. She won

Ohio. She went to the Final Four last
night in the Grade 8. I mean, she is on

point, and she's rocking it.

So Chuck 55's car's rolling. He made it
to the Final Four of the Grade 8. You

know, he's in the Grade 8. First off,
you know, that's amazing.

and people are starting to realize why
he was one of my top picks.

All right, next pair. That's going to be

Chuck 55 going up against Taylor Martin.

Round one continues in this invitation
with another big matchup.

It's Chuck 55 from Team Murder Nova
going up against Kayla from Team Daddy

All my guys are out.

Not me. Haven't we yet? Oh. I'm the last

So last night, we were able to pull off
a grade 8 win.

We had a transmission problem.

Pulling the car out to go take it up the
staging lane.

Transmission's making some weird
clicking noise I've never even heard of.

Somebody tell me what is going on. What
is this?

It's clanging and banging.

I think I've had every problem you could
possibly have in a race car. I've never

had this one.

So what did we do? Replace the whole
training now? Yes.

I'm pretty sure we're going to be
standing up all night replacing

We went through and changed the
transmission out, torqued all the rods.

were all good.

And then Robert and I drew each other.

Not even almost how I wanted that to go.

It was worst possible case scenario.

The one guy on my team that I for sure
really, really, really don't want to

draw, we screwed that up.

It's a worst -case scenario.

You absolutely couldn't have picked a
worse case than for Ryan and I to drive

each other. We think we're two of the
fastest cars here.

Now we've got to challenge each other.
Look, the only good thing about the two

of us running each other is one of us
goes forward.

And the worst part of it, whoever
doesn't win between the two of us, now

other one's going to have to race their
way in in Minnesota.

Again, worst -case scenario.

Yep. I just got to get one round, so I
have to race my way in. I've never had

race my way in before ever.

I don't want today to be the first day.

And Robin Roberts will take the win
there.

Ryan Martin, like he shook the tires
there early.

My car goes into instant tire shake,
which I felt first round testing before

when I got here, and I just watched
Robin drive off.

Nothing I could do. Didn't matter how
many times I could pedal it.

He made a clean path.

He went A to B. Mine didn't go anywhere.

Sucks we drew each other, but at least
one of us is going on.

How about a potential surprise of the
year? Team captain and returning No Prep

Kings champ, three -time champ, Ryan
Martin is out in the first round. That

means he will be racing his way in next
week, and guess what? That is the first

time ever that he's had to do that.

But coming up next is going to be a
matchup between Team Bodie and Team

Dean. Both have already lost a driver in
round one today.

We actually probably made better passes
than we probably went faster than we've

ever went here.

That's good.

We should be right up there with them
top dogs for sure.

So here in Virginia, right now, feeling
great. The car has never been faster.

We're slowly creeping up on this deal
and getting a handle on it with this new

combination. It's just getting faster
and faster and faster.

And the more comfortable we get, the
more dangerous we're going to be.

So in the driver's meeting, we drew
Larry Larson.

Never ran that guy, but I'm telling you,
when we line up today, he better have

it together because last night we made
two test passes, back -to -back personal

bests. We were flying, so if our pass
today goes anything like last night,

put him on the trailer early.

Larry Larson drew Damon.

He's been making a lot of great passes.
He's making the transition from the

street to no prep kings, and he's shown
a lot of promise.

Not really too concerned about who I
got.

Biggest thing is we just got to get past
first round so that we don't have to

race our way in for next weekend.

The first two rounds are going to be
really important to get down the

and after that, then it's going to be
game on.

I just heard that you drew Mike.

Yeah. That sucks.

Yeah. Well, you know, the only thing
about it is we was going to swap, and

obviously we wouldn't do the game to
where we call out our teammate or

like that, but Mike's having some
trouble, and instead his car's making a

noise. The new motor is? The new motor
is. So he turns around and looks at me.

He's like, I don't want to give it to
anybody else. We drew each other. Let's

just leave it the way it is.

Scott and I drew each other first round.

Prior to going up there, we started the
new motor for the first time, and it did

not sound right. So that's in the back
of my mind because I don't know what

we got going on. The oil pressure was
low. We for sure don't want to hurt

another motor. Once I came back, We got
our oil pressure. We had to swap some

parts off the old motor, oil pump -wise,
and put it in this motor. We sound

good. We feel good. So I'm going to give
it all I got with Scott.

Here's the deal. If I beat Scott, I
deserve to go to the next round. If I

one, and so far we've seen some major

upsets. Team captains Dave and Ryan
Martin have both been knocked out.

Murder Noble went from having five of
his drivers in the event down to just

raced yet. But first, it's a battle

between Team Kai and Team Boat, as David
Gates goes up against Mike Bowman.

Like with Jeff Kai, if you ain't first,

the first four races last year.

I don't know. It's been a lot better
year and a lot more confident with

I feel great. You know, the weather's
good. The track's going to be a little

greasy. This car likes it.

I think we got a decent draw.

Bowman was in the grade eight with us
last night.

So I know he's fast, and to be able to
go out there and knock him off right at

first, I think that's what we need to do
and set our pace for the day and not

let up.

I know we're getting ready to go and
stuff, but we need to just kind of

-check everything.

This will be the first run on this one.

Didn't like what I saw on the last one,
so we had to change that blower out.

So we matched up with David Gates, and
we're going to go out there and do our

best. I know he's fast. It's Kai's old
car. We're fast, too.

So just got to be on the light.

and make a good run and get on to the
next round.

It's going to be over 100 degrees on the
racetrack, so it'll be a little bit

sensitive. I'm going to go for it, see

13th pair. The plan is we're going out

there. We're going to throw everything
at it. We're going to smash it.

Disco Dean is fast, so we put a good
tune -up in it. We're ready to kick some

Team Ryan.

left. They're still in the running for
that $40 ,000 prize and gaining points

for their team.

We're now moving into round two, and
these drivers are adding ten more points

their team total.

Okay, so let's get this driver's meeting

now. I've noticed that there are some
faces missing.

You almost always see Ryan Martin in the
second round of a race, and as you can

tell, he is not in this driver's
meeting.

I didn't make it in, which is terrible.

But, you know, three out of my five guys
is good. You can do a lot of damage

with three people. And I've got three
heavy hitters, three hard hitting guys

that will do really good. So hopefully
those three guys can stay away from each

other and my team can continue to
advance.

With that being said, there are a couple
teams that now have no members

remaining in this race.

Disco Dean and Murder Nova, who had all

Of his teammates in the first round is
now down to zero.

Going into round two, I still got three
going to the next round. So that's

pretty good considering Sean lost all

really got a good feeling about today.

at a time and race the track and not
really worry about who's in that other

lane.

We got Scott still in, and so, man, I'm
going to do everything I can to help him

and keep him going.

Second round, we drew Damon Merchant.
Praying it don't shake.

He's getting faster and faster, and he's
making the trip.

Round one, we did not make the trip.

We got to go down to beat Damon. If we
don't go down, we're not going to beat

anybody.

Damon's been carrying us, man. He's been
really the heart of our team right now.

Unexpectedly, you know, Damon's going to
have the motor everybody got. He's been

coming out here overachieving, people
think.

He made it to the grade eight.

Gaining points by himself as well as our
team.

This is Damon's first season running no
-prep Kings.

But he's already proving to be a huge
asset for Team Bodie, especially after

taking out heavy hitter Scott Taylor.

Damon's fast in the light, and sometimes
that can win a race.

We left good.

Car made a hell of a hit the first 500
feet, and then it started kind of

stumbling, sputtering at the big end.

I wanted to make sure that people knew
that us getting picked in the draft and

it being our first year wasn't no fluke.

With Scott Taylor losing, that means
Mike Murillo's team is down to zero.

They'll join teams Disco and Murder Nova

the first round, and it's looking more

and more like my day, so we got to get

We share data, it pays off, as you can
see, and that's why we put the team

together that we did.

Day's team was pretty much using the
same tuner for most of the cars.

That is the guy that does all the
magical stuff on the keyboard and makes

car run as fast as it possibly can.

And if you have a tuner that has
multiple cars on the same team, you can

data, which is critical.

You have one car go down early, you get
data, you can use that data, put it on

your other cars for later in the rounds.

It's going to be Jim Howe. He is going
up against Kayla Morton. Kayla Morton in

the right lane.

The track was a little bit better, and I
thought, well, we don't need to leave

anything on the table because we're
running Caleb.

Kept creeping towards the center, and I
was like, I got it, I got it, I got it.

And I was like, oh, I better grab a
button.

I threw a little bit more at it, and it
almost cost me the race. We almost had

it too hot.

We stubbed our toe in Hebron. I stand by
the fact that I think we've got the

fastest car on the property. Move on to
the next round, one round at a time.

I'm not changing a damn thing.

Super disappointing L there.

I thought we would get that one, but it
just wasn't our day, and that's okay.

Last weekend was, and there are going to
be a lot of weekends that are.

It's all good. I mean, they didn't make
a bad pass.

I'm just going to keep turning the car
for the racetrack, and he better beat me

to the finish line because we're going

This track's one of the smoothest tracks
in the country, but it's hot today,

it's gummy, you know, the rubber's
peeling up, so you better have the right

tuner. You better have a hold of that
steering wheel and know what to do with

it. If the car's going to get loose,
it's going to get sketchy, and then the

best driver and tuner win on a day like
this.

anybody. But all in all, I got a pretty
solid team, and I'm looking to win the

When I let go of the button, this front
tire was carrying up in the air.

It was like an animal when it set that
front tire down. Felt like the whole car

was falling apart.

hands, and then I was trying to steer

guessing my gloves probably tore all up.

That was just a little more excitement
than I wanted to end the weekend.

The front end broke, and it just went
crazy.

All day we've been watching this car.
It's been hauling ass, so he's

not an easy draw, but we're going to
make sure that we're going to go down

consistent and without shaking at all.

And I think that'll be fast enough to
outrun him.

The sun is starting to go down here in
Virginia, but it's still warm. And from

what I saw in round two, this track is
still greasy and gooey.

This is always a tough time to race
because the track can change quickly

one pass to the next as it cools down.

If he was right beside me, he actually
pulled out in front of me. Maybe the 3

.30, the wheels come up on my car, and I
went to pull it off from him.

Barely beat him on the big end. I bet it
wasn't even an offender.

That's a win. We'll take it. It was a
hard -earned win because he gave us all

wanted.

know what happened. It just cut out

So last night we were in the finals of
the grade eight. Now we're in the final

four. So I really feel like our team as
a whole is doing great.

And it is Team Kai Kelly who is leading
the pack with 140 points.

It's a pretty big lead over Team Daddy
Dave and Bodie who are tied for second.

But there's a ton of points left up for
grabs as these teams chase that $200

,000 championship.

put them on the trail. If we play the

cards right and we can all go around, I
