Sixteen years after the Holy War ended,
the young Percival learned he is
one of the Four Knights of the Apocalypse who will save Britannia.
After overcoming great obstacles, Percival and his comrades
met Lancelot, Tristan and Gawain of the same Four Knights of the Apocalypse
and began a perilous journey, risking their lives.
Their destination is the Kingdom of Camelot,
where his father, Ironside, who killed his grandfather,
as well as King Arthur, the man who wants to destroy the world, await.
CITY OF BATTLE
You've never met me before,
and so when you referred to me as "Prince" I knew something was off.
You knew who I was from the very beginning.
You must be a human from Camelot, right?
I am Ioradio Velviger. You can call me Io.
Do you know why this festival exists?
It was a memorial service to those who had fallen
in service to Liones against attacking nations and bandits.
Yes, but these days most people come to celebrate
those who fell during the Holy War 16 years ago
to bid them a good afterlife.
So that the dead are remembered.
It is a lovely custom.
We have nothing like it where I'm from.
For now, let us pray together.
For the souls and the memory of those who went before us.
Hey, Mom. I became a Holy Knight.
Mom, I hope you're watching over me from up in heaven.
Grandpa, I'm doing great.
So you don't have to worry about me.
And I found them.
I found some special friends who I trust to walk with through this life.
Aren't you gonna pray, Nasiens?
No. Thankfully there's nobody close to me who has died yet.
My biological parents may or may not be around,
but I didn't exactly know them.
Enough of this idle chitchat! We need to get out there and search!
Search for what?
That woman from Prince Tristan's dorm took him out to the festival!
To act after the fact will be too late! Help us look for him!
Tristan, you old dog.
Oh, brother.
We should split up.
It's the brats.
But what's going on?
We're this close, and yet I can't sense their magic at all.
It appears there is something blocking magic in this town,
which means we can sneak up on them without being noticed.
Come on, Anne! Come look with me!
All right already! Just calm down.
Well, if you're begging for our help, I guess we can help you look.
Please!
Then shall we look together?
Sure.
I'll wait for him back at the inn.
I'm not interested in manhunts.
- Can't be bothered. - Can't be bothered.
Gawain, there's something I've been wanting to pinpoint.
That strange presence we've felt ever since coming here?
That magic you used to dispel the Perfect Cube,
can you apply it to the entire town?
That sounds exhausting, so no.
- I'll buy you a pudding. - I'll do it!
Il cont distrad... Zoldiol velliarin...
Absolute Cancel.
This feeling... That's everyone's...
Somebody has broken through my magic on this town.
But their efforts are in vain.
There are others here besides us.
And it's not just within town.
"Jamming."
My power renders all magical detection within town impossible.
Your friends won't have detected your location in that brief moment.
So long as you keep your magic active, you mean?
I never did answer your question earlier.
I am not on Camelot's side.
Nor am I on the humans' side.
You're of the Demon Clan?
You all felt that, right?
You felt Tristan's magic.
But it vanished soon after.
How did we not realize we weren't detecting any magic?
It must have been since we entered town.
Lancelot said he felt something strange. This must have been it.
Which means we wouldn't have detected any assassins nearby.
This is bad, Jade! We must find Tristan and that woman.
Jade?
This way? Really?
I don't know. But I can't just stand around waiting.
Calm down, Isolde.
I know it was brief and so it wasn't very clear,
but did you not also sense someone else besides the prince?
Somebody else? Where?
Io.
You said you weren't on Camelot's side.
So why are you attacking me?
Is it because of the goddess blood that runs through me? Or is it...
because you despise my father for betraying the Demon Clan?
I can't cut it.
Your guesses are incorrect!
Tristan! Hey!
Where'd you go?
Maybe he went back to the inn?
And what if he's mid-battle with the enemy?
Doing battle amongst all these festivalgoers?
There's plenty of hidden alleys around here!
- Hey, it's Tristan! - What?
Here he isn't.
Not in this tiny space.
Chion, aren't you going a little overboard here?
All the way.
We owe our lives to Tristan, and that is not an understatement.
Are you all right?
You're a man of royal stature.
Wasn't your mom the first princess of Liones?
Don't you think it's odd for a man like you to act like such a groupie?
Say whatever you like.
That reminds me.
Why don't you use your Spirits to find him?
That's it! I'd gotten into such a panic I'd completely forgotten about that.
You're a guy with his head screwed on straight, Nasiens.
What's this? My voice...
I can't speak.
Is this Sylph's doing?
But I can't see it...
Even the sound is gone.
This isn't Sylph.
I don't think anyone's there.
Are you sure you felt someone?
Yes, I'm sure of it.
Hey.
You trying to kill me?
Jade?
Sorry!
Geez, gimme a break.
But why are you here?
You ran off with just the two of you. I thought you could use some help.
You're too kind. Thank you.
I mean, you always were one to act rashly.
I always thought you were a loose cannon as a kid.
Since when did you become my mother?
Guess your feeling was off, hey, Anne?
What do you mean?
Anne said she felt some strange presence coming from over there...
Are you hurt, Isolde?
I'm fine.
Why bother dodging?
Wouldn't you prefer a painless death?
You're a Knight of Chaos.
We've gotta...
If it isn't the darling little brats.
It'll be my pleasure killing you.
Hey! Watch your eyes, buddy! Quit ogling my assets!
Bad boy, Jade.
- I was looking at your weapon! - Weapon?
That's a longbow. Close the gap and it may as well be useless.
And it looks like you've used up your only arrow.
Did you think that was an arrow?
Isolde!
Is this snake...
Get off of her!
Are you all right, Isolde?
That woman...
If she has a snake, she must be a summoner like Chion.
I'm not afraid of snakes.
Stop!
Anne!
Yuck!
This is...
That's right.
I control small creatures within range of my magic.
That is my power.
Summon Creature.
Isolde!
I feel dizzy.
She's been poisoned. We must take her to Nasiens, quickly!
Hold on tight. We're getting out of here.
My creatures and I share the senses of sight, sound and smell.
They will find their prey, no matter what dark alley you crawl into.
So if I remove your sight, they'll lose theirs too, right?
Darkness!
Damn it. What happened?
- Now! - Right!
Fools.
You've only taken down a few creatures.
Do you really think this is enough to hold me back?
Some of my creatures rely on sound and smell alone.
Lover's Mine!
Those blasted brats!
That man must be why we can't use our voices or hear any sounds.
I'm at an overwhelming disadvantage being unable to summon Spirits here.
Damn it! If only Jade and Isolde were here.
...cival! Percival!
- We can speak and hear again. - Percival!
This is covert magic.
And he found our healer in an instant to take him out.
Wake up!
Breathe, Percival!
Give it up already.
His neck is broken. He's dead.
You scumbag! Is that any way to speak about a friend?
I'm only stating the obvious.
His magic is what saved us all!
It's fine to get sentimental,
but he really was just the sort to die in a place like this.
He'd have lived a longer life had he not been a Knight of Prophecy.
Is this it?
Is that all you've got?
Knight of the Apocalypse, Tristan!
You said it yourself.
You said this festival of celebrating the dead
was a lovely custom.
You could only have said that if we share the same feelings.
Those impacted by the Holy War 16 years ago
weren't just the humans, giants, fairies and goddesses.
Your kind, the Demon Clan, were impacted too.
Please, stop this now.
I was ordered by a human king named Arthur
to kill you all, and that is why I'm here.
If I try to escape, they will kill me.
My comrades were taken hostage.
They have been brainwashed, and they will kill me.
Why didn't you say all this before?
I know they will all die by Arthur's hand at some point.
So I wanted to see for myself.
I wanted to see if the Knights of Prophecy
were so insignificant that I could kill them myself,
or whether they were strong enough to take on King Arthur himself.
But more than anything, I find you are too kind.
You even try to sympathize with us.
I will leave it all to you.
You must defeat Arthur.
I'm half demon, you know.
The Holy War is over.
Now is the time for all races to come together to fight Chaos.
But my comrades are skilled.
If we try to leave town, not only will they kill me,
they will kill you too.
In that case, we'll be fine.
Because my friends are pretty skilled themselves.
We followed the magic, and look who we have waiting for us.
They are the Knights of Prophecy like me.
They won't be bested so easily.
- Please! Answer me! - Hey, Percival!
Say something!
Percival!
What happened?
Thank goodness!
I thought I was gonna die without you!
Where's the bearded baldy?
I knocked him right into tomorrow!
What kind of human survives a broken neck?
I guess I do?
I don't know what kind of magic you've got going on,
but when a magic user dies, their powers normally go with them!
I don't know what to tell you.
His magic did kick in back when he got pierced through the heart as well.
We thought he was done for then too.
What kind of explanation is that? That explains nothing!
Shouldn't you just be grateful that a friend is still alive?
Found you.
You did well to get away from Macduff.
Then allow me to take you on this time.
Bugs! Bugs!
Lizards and snakes too!
All deadly creatures.
So the enemy were working as a group?
She is another Knight of Chaos.
Look at all these weird critters.
Stop that!
Go! Kill them!
- Stay back! - Yuck!
What's going on?
Donny, Chion.
Look! They're not that scary.
What the hell! Why won't you listen to me?
Enchant.
Belladonna.
Why won't you listen to me...
Nasiens! That was wicked cool!
I guess.
They are smarter than humans.
Why don't they listen to you? It's simple.
They want to live.
