We will now look at another type of
profile, in this case, the one

by sessions.

This is the profile of the day. It is
particularly useful for inner -day

trading, as it takes into account the
main trading zones of the session.

To add it to the chart, simply click on
the Indicators tab in the top menu.

Second, type the name of the indicator
in the search engine, which is called

Session Volume Profile, and the
indicator which is also owned by the

will appear.

Click on it and it will be added to the
chart.

This is the configuration I recommend.

In sessions, we will set all, total
volume, value area to 70 and find size

to 200.

The style tab is exactly the same as the
other settings.

The width, which is at 50%, refers to
the size of the profile.

So a larger number will cause the bars
to increase to the right and a smaller

number will show a thinner profile.

This is at the trader's discretion.

I usually use it with a setting of less
than 50, but for this course, I will

leave it this way so that the profile
can be better visualized.

And this is what the chart will look
like with this session profile

As you can see in this example, we have
three different sessions, each with its

own profile.

Its range is from the beginning to the
end of the session, so it is updated

throughout the day.

Short -term creators will use both the
levels of the current session and those

of the previous sessions to create their
scenarios.

At this point, it is useful to
understand that the completed profiles

relevant than the profiles in progress.

By pure logic, a profile that is still
under development is susceptible to

modification in its levels and therefore
the importance that we can give to them

decreases. On the other hand, completed
profiles represent the final market

consensus. and their levels become more
relevant.

My approach to intraday trading using
session profiles is to primarily

the levels left from the previous
session.

For example, if we are at the beginning
of the second day's session, I would

manually mark the key levels of the
previous session, since this indicator

not allow to plot such levels to the
right.

We will see the principles of trading
with value areas in more detail later.

but we can say in advance that if the
market re -enters a previous value area

and rejects it strongly at the VPOC, a
strong continuation move can be

from there.

This is exactly what happens in this
example.

The session opens below the previous
session's value area and develops two

into the VPOC area to generate the
subsequent bearish move from there.

In terms of complexity, This is a very
simple type of intraday trade where we

mainly take into account the trading
levels of the previous session.

The next day, we would do the same
thing.

Our chart preparation would be to extend
to the right the key levels of the

previous session and oppose a scenario
based on the principles of trading with

value areas.

On this third day, we see that the price
manages to break through the previous

session's value area and position itself
above it.

At this point, the most relevant trading
level to consider is the value area

high of the second day's profile.

As we can see, this level acts as a
support and generates several reactions

the price until it finally generates an
upward trend.

The key in this type of scenario is to
understand the context, and the short

-term context is always determined by
the current price situation in relation

the previous day's value area.

As always, we can complicate the
analysis as much as we want. For

perhaps an additional piece of
information that would add value to this

trading would be to evaluate a higher
context.

That is, to analyze higher time frames
to determine if the market is ranging or

trending and only trade in that
direction.
