But this morning
our team got started

by resuming an operation

to figure out if
something extraordinary

is buried deep inside the mesa.

Well, guys,

today I brought Josh
Halprin from Strahl out,

and we're hoping you
can give us a glimpse

at what lies inside that,
borehole right there.

Yeah, so the camera I brought,

it's got about 394 feet.

It's also got HD
imagery and video,

so it should give
us a good glimpse

of what's inside
that hole there.

That's a great way to start.

- I say we get going.
- Let's get on it.

Based on experiments we've
done here over the past three years,

we believe that there's a
400-foot-long object buried

inside the mesa along with a
bunch of smaller anomalies.

We have no idea what they are.

But while trying to
drill into these objects...

- What is that?
- We've discovered

metal fragments that are similar

to the protective
coatings on space shuttles.

Last year we had Mike,
Alex, and their team

from Mark
Construction Drilling...

create the first of two
boreholes up through the mesa,

positioned on each
side of the anomalies

that are buried inside there.

Now, we want to
widen that first borehole

and, when that's done,

create a second one
that's the same size.

This will let us insert
high-tech scanning devices

into the mesa

that will hopefully identify
what's actually in there.

Put that thing in there.
We'll see what we can see.

But before they start trying to
widen borehole number one,

to confirm that it didn't
collapse over the winter.

while searching
through the drilling spoils

from this borehole...

What the hell is that?

We found one of
the strangest things

we've ever seen on
Skinwalker Ranch...

a green jellylike substance

that, when tested, came back

with some truly
surprising results.

The particles you see are
pieces of burnt plant material.

And the real take-home
here is that it's full of charcoal.

You mean like something caused

a fire deep inside the mesa?

Absolutely. Yeah.

If we're actually
finding evidence of a fire

or maybe an explosion
deep in the mesa,

it makes us even more
curious about what that object

and other anomalies could be
and how the heck they got in there.

I say we keep pushing
forward, see if we see more of it.

So, at this point,
right where we are,

it's-it's about 200 feet in.

Guys, think about that.

We're about 200
feet into the mesa.

And last year, where did the
beacon start having issues?

About 200 feet in.

Have you ever seen any kind

of interference like
this before in a job?

Not like this, no.

It's really odd
that the camera's video feed

cut out right at 200
feet inside the borehole.

That's the exact spot
where the drilling beacon,

which tracks the
drill bit underground,

malfunctioned over
and over last year

and made it nearly
impossible to finish the hole.

That's more data suggesting
that whatever's buried in there

could be jamming our equipment.

So what could these
things be in order to do that?

Think we can keep going.

Yeah.

- Look how the hole looks clear.
- Yeah.

I mean, look at that.

- It's like you passed

through a boundary.

It's going up at a...

- higher degree.
- Well, the hole looks perfect, though.

Luckily, despite

the interference we're
seeing on the camera,

that hole has
held its integrity.

The drillers are
gonna have no problem

getting right back up
to the top of the mesa.

Well, I'm excited
about what we're seeing so far.

And our hole
definitely looks good.

There are green materials

look out of place

So we've decided,

before we put any of
the drilling hardware

into the existing borehole...

what we can retrieve,

perhaps help us to get insights

into the interior of the mesa.

Yeah, there's
actually quite a bit in the back.

Any greenish metal?

No, I got something else.

I think it might
be metal or flint.

Reminds me of a
black shale or-or flint.

We couldn't find any signs

of the green material.

But these black fragments

didn't look like anything
you'd expect to find

inside a sandstone mesa.

Dude, look at that.

- Again, smooth.
- Look how thin it is and smooth.

We need to-to test

the elemental analysis on this.

What in the heck
are we looking at?

Much to, I think,
all of our surprise,

we're seeing materials
that don't appear to be native

to the mesa at all.

The question stands...
could some of these materials

help us determine
what is inside the mesa?

It's at a spot near the
middle of the property

that we call the triangle.

I'm-I'm pretty curious

about what you guys
have planned for tonight.

For the
first experiment tonight,

we're gonna use 100 pyro drones.

And I... It's probably gonna be
the most pyrotechnic devices

you guys have ever set off here

on the ranch before.

During our investigation,

we've seen
countless UAPs here...

Y'all see that?!

Holy crap. Look at this.

Detected strange energy signals,

and even obtained
infrared images

of a huge anomaly that
surrounded the triangle.

But last week, while running
lidar scans from a helicopter

and on the ground,

we saw something incredible.

This anomaly is not
just above the ground

but also below it.

So now we're thinking it's
shaped more like a bubble.

Its epicenter appears
to be at the triangle,

and it has a radius
of 610 meters,

or about 2,000 feet,

which covers other hot spots
such as the mesa drill site.

In the past, we used fire,

and we've tried to use smoke

to kind of map whatever's
going on here over the triangle.

The problem is, we
couldn't get any higher than,

well, with the fire, up
to about 30, 40 feet.

So I'm really excited

about using the
drones to help us reach

a higher elevation
with the smoke

and confirm if
the bubble is real.

There's something
odd about that spot

over the center of the triangle.

- Absolutely.
- Yeah.

We want to fill it

with smoke and light and map

whatever's going on in there.

Yep. So we're
gonna have the drones take off.

They're gonna make a cone that's
going to move over the triangle.

When it's in place, I'm
gonna trigger the pyrotechnics,

so each one of those drones

is gonna be dropping
sparks 30 feet down.

And then the second drone swarm

that we're gonna run
tonight is 200 drones.

So it should be lots
of good data from that.

And-and just as last year,
I'll have eyes from all angles.

Um, I-I'd say we
get-get started.

Sounds like a plan.

- Let's get to work.

Then we're
gonna mount it on the side

of the pyro mount,

secure it to the drone.

Tonight we want to verify

that the bubble is real.

So, to build on what we've
already seen with the lidar,

we want to use some new
tools to collect more data.

Maybe it'll help us figure
out what the bubble could be

and why so many strange
things keep happening inside it.

So Sky Elements
is going to launch

two different
illuminated drone swarms

in preprogrammed formations

right above the
center of the triangle.

I'll be tracking this with GPS

while we're doing the cylinder.

That's awesome.

The first swarm

will have 100 drones flying
in a cone-shaped formation.

They'll be equipped
with GPS trackers

and with pyrotechnics that
will spark and emit smoke.

We're hoping that the bubble
might keep the smoke contained,

verifying its shape
and dimension.

Then we'll replace the
swarm with another one

made up of 200 drones,

forming a big cylinder with
a large enough center area

to give me room to fire
a rocket up through it.

These are good.

Another strange thing

that repeatedly happened
during our experiment last week

was that the GPS
data from the helicopter

disappeared every time it passed
over the center of the triangle

inside the bubble.

So, once the second
drone swarm is in place,

I'm going to launch a rocket
directly up through the center.

We want to see if anything
strange affects its flight

or if it makes contact
with something

that we can't see
with the naked eye.

Check map to confirm.

We'll be recording
everything with Jim Royston's drone...

All right, speed's up.

As well as high-speed cameras

that will be taking hundreds
of pictures per second

to help capture images of
anything out of the ordinary

that we might miss
during the experiment.

Pete will also help us
look for anything invisible

to the naked eye by
running new lidar scans.

And since we're
working with pyrotechnics,

we've asked the
local fire department

to keep an eye on things
and make sure we're all safe.

We-We're getting a
1.2-gigahertz signal.

That's so weird.

Last week, Erik broadcast a
signal at the same frequency

so we could look for
any strange interference

during our helicopter
experiment.

But then we started detecting

a second 1.2-gigahertz signal

as though something cloned it

and was broadcasting
it back to us.

And now here it is again.

So where's it coming from?

That's so weird.

Well, I'll be
following it tonight.

I've got eyes on everything,

we do still have

that 1.2-gigahertz
signal and suddenly

we've also got several signals
at the 1.6-gigahertz range.

That's weird. Right when
we're starting to get ready to go.

The 1.2-gigahertz signal
was strange enough.

But when I saw those
1.6-gigahertz signals pop up,

it was really strange

because that frequency is
usually reserved by the military

for tracking communications
between satellites

and the ground.

But we've detected
1.6-gigahertz signals

many times right before
we've seen UAPs on the ranch.

So where is this coming from?

The bubble or somewhere else?

We are starting the
drone takeoff now.

We're going.

Okay, taking off.

So, the drones
we use have multiple sensors.

And each one of those drones
has GPS that can provide

real-time location data.

That's cool.

So we make sure

that we have flight paths that
we can center over the triangle,

right where Travis
and Erik want it,

and we want to make
sure we get that perfect.

The drones are
over the center of the triangle.

They're not over the triangle!

So, on the map

it shows them right over
the top of the launchpad.

Yeah, we're nowhere
near where it's supposed to be!

Hey, guys, I confirm...

that the formation

is not over the center
of the triangle at all.

Thomas has reported that,

on the real-time Sky
Elements GPS display,

the formation is actually
centered over the triangle.

Whereas, according
to the naked eye,

the formation

is actually
significantly to the east

and slightly to the south
of the center of the triangle.

There's clearly a mismatch

between what we
see with the naked eye

and what we are now
seeing in the telemetry.

What in the world

is going on?

They're not over the triangle.

Tonight we launched a
pyrotechnic drone swarm

through the center
of the triangle.

It emitted smoke that
we hoped would help us

map the dimensions
of an invisible bubble

that we've recently
detected with lidar.

Everything went as it should.

But something was fooling

the GPS trackers
in the drone swarm

and caused it to be positioned

about 40 yards to
the east of the triangle.

Hopefully, when we review
the high-speed camera data,

we'll find out what it was.

They should be
heading back right now.

They should
be heading southwest,

back to the landing
spot at this point.

the drones didn't
report any issues.

They seemed to, according
to your software, be

where they were supposed

Absolutely. And everything
worked exactly as it should.

confused as to where it thought

Yeah, and that far off. Right.

I went

and stood under it. We were 30,

- 40 meters from the center of the triangle.

- We were way off to the-the east. Yeah.

to see if this next flight
does the same thing

and comes to the
east of the triangle now.

Speaking of next flight,

happen in the same place

where we continuously
lost GPS data

during our experiment last week.

that we couldn't get

the drone formations

us more evidence

that something strange is
at the center of the bubble.

but before we got started,

it was going and it's going now,

and it's not anything

Wow. So, Preston,

so we had two flights

with exactly zero drones
falling out of formation.

But...

we didn't get smoke
above the triangle

like we wanted,
it was to the east.

And it did not get in a
region where we need it.

So once again, we're left
without the smoke in the center,

so we're gonna have
to think of some way

to get that smoke

up through that-that zone
that we've been trying to get.

Yeah, and we've
been trying to get smoke

in that spot for
three or four years

and have been
unsuccessful doing it.

So, is that just a coincidence
or was that whole set thrown off

and the smoke diverted?

I-I'm beginning to not
believe in coincidences

out here anymore, Thomas, so...

I'm anxious to see

what comes out of the
post-processing results.

My hope is that we will
have a better understanding

of the nature of the phenomenon

that we call the bubble.

They're ready to start drilling.

The next day, while we
were waiting for the data

from our drone
experiment to be processed,

the team from Mark
Construction Drilling

called us back out to the mesa,

where they're getting ready to
enlarge borehole number one.

To do this, first they'll have
to run their original drill bit

all the way back up
through the existing hole

to the top of the mesa.

We'll be tracking its progress
with a beacon in the drill bit

that emits a 34 megahertz signal

and shows exactly
where it is underground.

Once the bit reaches
the top of the mesa,

the team will
attach a larger bit

known as a reaming bit and
then work it all the way back down,

enlarging the
diameter of the hole.

And once all that is done,
they will case the hole

with a gel-based
concrete that will allow us

to insert scanning devices

so that we can identify
the buried objects in there.

So, earlier today,

I went to calibrate the beacon,

and I calibrated
it, put it in the head

and everything, and
battery was showing full.

We let it sit while we were
doing some other stuff,

getting some other stuff
ready, and I went back,

tried to wake it up and
the beacon was locked

and the battery was dead.

What would it take to lock it?

- You have to go in manually and lock it.
- Exactly.

- And you guys didn't do that?
- Did not do that.

So, from everything
I'm hearing, it sounds like

someone's interacting
with the device, using it,

- although none of us did that.
- Yep.

This is really weird.

If the drill beacon can
only be locked manually,

how did that happen if
no one on the team did it?

I can't help but
thinking about where we're at,

especially with what we
found with this barrier...

- Yes.
- Or bubble here.

The wall of this barrier
bubble is literally right there.

That's a great point.

And we're inside of it.

- Yeah.

This operation has been plagued

by strange equipment
failures over the last year.

We've wondered
if they were caused

by the huge buried
object in the mesa.

But now I'm wondering, based
on what we saw yesterday,

could this also have
something to do with the bubble?

And are all these
things connected?

What do we do now?

I just put a new battery in it,

unlocked it and recalibrated
the beacon, and it's fine.

A lot of times, when mechanical
glitches happen on the ranch,

we also detect strange
radio frequency signals.

Just like last
night, when the 1.2

and 1.6 gigahertz
frequency signals showed up.

So, we set up our
spectrum analyzer today

to see if anything
similar might happen.

How is the calibration going?

Trying to link it
up right now, um...

Didn't link the first time.

I just heard the word
"trying," which means

that it's not going the
way it usually does.

No, it's not.

Linking it shouldn't
take this long.

Unbelievable.

our own military

looked like it was coming
from inside the mesa.

simultaneously getting

a 1.2 gigahertz signal
and a 1.6 gigahertz signal.

We are not broadcasting

any 1.2 gigahertz signals.

So this is coming
from somewhere.

- I want to find where the hell that's coming from.

It was exactly like last
night at the triangle.

We detected 1.6 and
1.2 gigahertz signals

right before we launched
our drone swarms,

and then they failed to center
above the triangle as planned.

Now we can't seem
to pair this beacon,

and we're seeing the
same signals again.

Okay, we're powered up.

All right, one sec.

So, since
the 1.6 gigahertz signal

seemed to be coming
from inside the mesa,

Erik wanted to try and
track the origin point

of the 1.2 gigahertz signal.

Yeah, I think it's
getting stronger.

- Sure is.

the beacon to sync.

with when we've got this signal.

at the boundary of the bubble,

it started bouncing wildly
on the signal strength.

That's absolutely
fascinating, Thomas.

The bubble covers a large
area, including the mesa drill site.

But when the drill beacon
gets outside the bubble, it works.

Then, when it comes back
inside where the drill site is,

it glitches again.

If we can't continue
this drilling operation,

I don't know how
we're gonna figure out

what the heck is
inside that mesa.

I'll let you guys tell him.

If we go in tonight
and we get back in the morning

and it's not calibrated,
we're gonna have to take

everything out and it's
gonna cost us a lot of,

lot of wasted time.

So I think the best bet
is to let it sit overnight,

we'll make sure it's calibrated
first thing in the morning,

when you went outside
of what we call the bubble,

that it seemed to sync up
and stay synced up this time

into-into the earth.

can see fine details

that would be invisible
to the naked eye.

This is fascinating.

To see that Pete's

infrared images

of a 2,000-foot-high
rounded feature

over the triangle, it
confirms our previous data

of the bubble's dimensions
above the ground.

Now we have to
figure out what it is

and how it's connected
to all the other phenomena

we keep seeing
here on the ranch.

We've speculated that
we're dealing with something

that keeps moving and changing,

which is why we
don't always detect it.

That blows my mind.

We may be getting just a glimpse
of whatever this structure is.

Well, and think about this.

If it is something
like, say, a force field,

um, it takes power,

and would you have it always on

or would you turn it
on when something is,

is interacting with
it in a location?

- Yeah.
- So, it's potential that,

it only comes on when
something interacts with it.

I could see that.

- Yeah.
- During our experiment,

we detected those strange
1.6 and 1.2 gigahertz signals.

So, I'm wondering if
one or both of them

could have activated
the bubble and caused it

to show up again in our scan.

But if so, then the question is,
what was broadcasting them?

So I'm going to bring up

the high-speed video,

looking up into that
Christmas tree drone formation.

- That looks so cool.
- Yeah.

And there's
some things that show up.

I'm gonna play it through.

- Whoa.
- There's something falling right there.

- Black thing flying by the lens.

- What the heck?

observe the movement

of this object, whatever it is.

Like, it's definitely
not a drone,

'cause it'd still have
the lights, it'd still be lit.

Holy crap. Here we go.

We detect weird signals,
have equipment failures

and then see a UAP right
inside the drone swarm.

Could that be the
source of the signals?

And could it also be what
prevented the drone swarms

from getting positioned
over the center of the triangle?

All the drones returned back.

Um, you didn't have
anything fall out the sky

that you know of, did you?

All the drones came back.

Then what in the heck

are we looking at here?

This appears to have a
very well-defined shape,

a very well-defined boundary.

That's really odd.

Another thing I
want us to focus on...

- So, Jim, you've got video records?

And this is from your
drone perspective?

- Yeah, from the second swarm.

So, this is the second
flight with the rocket.

So, let me bring that up.

So, coming up.

So, we see the rocket
going straight up.

This is going
perfectly straight, too.

- Look at that.

It's still burning.

Yeah, it should burn on
up to about 700 or 800 feet,

I saw on the right side?

a dot. A dot appears.

So it starts right here
and comes down.

- I'm gonna go frame by frame to pick it up.

Whoa.

Boy, in one
frame, it jumps half the sky.

Is that the FPV?

That's not the FPV drone.

That's-that's really bizarre.

- Yeah, that's...
- That's fast.

That's either something
moving very fast

or that's more than
one light source.

That... I
mean, that's way too fast

for a plane or a satellite.

That's none of our assets.

a lot more interested

what is in that airspace
with our formation?

for lack of something
else to call it,

- or a different one?

Well,

and see if we see
something else.

- Whoa, what was that?

What I'm guessing this
is, is the light on the rocket

- coming down.
- So it disappears,

but it comes up back right here.

- Wow.
- Yeah, I'd like to see this frame by frame

if we can do that, Jim.

Yeah.

So I-I think the
rocket motors burn out

and now we can see
the blue light on the rocket

and then it vanishes.

Where did it go?

And then, there it is again.

But why did it vanish?

Yeah.

I think what we're seeing

is really strange.

The question is, is the rocket
passing behind something?

Is there something interfering
just with the light itself,

or is some physical object

obscuring our
view of the rocket?

You know, it doesn't
make any sense.

I-I think, once again,
we do an experiment

to find answers and we
come up with more questions.

Well, you know,

the pyro turned out pretty good,
but it only lasted for seconds.

It would be better
if we could put

a lot of heat and
smoke into that region

for a long period of
time above the triangle

and see, what happens.

The ability to get smoke up
there, we've tried a number

of different ways to see it.

What would happen if we
just put some big bonfires

in the center of the triangle,

and then, you know, doused
them with water to create

the smoke and try to do that...

- Yeah.
- Over a prolonged period of time?

I like the idea that
we're putting energy

into the space, thermal energy.

This may provide some
interesting insights into

what is above the triangle.

- That's a great way to do it.
- And hopefully, the smoke

will rise for, you know,
several hundred feet.

And, th... I think that
would be a fantastic experiment.

- Yeah.
- So...

You know, I'll-I'll
get on the horn

and get us some fire
canisters that we can put there,

and some firewood.

And you guys can take
care of all the tech side.

I think this is an ideal
time to be exploring the space

above the triangle
with a new perspective,

given the fact that
we're finding that

there may, in fact,
be a connection

between the center of
the triangle and the bubble.

We're going to have to continue

to probe this space
above the triangle

in order to better understand
this phenomenology

with which we are
engaging here on the ranch.

Erik and I believe

that if we can keep
repeating our data,

we can figure out the
phenomena on Skinwalker Ranch.

So now that we've confirmed
that this bubble is real,

maybe our next experiment
will help us smoke out the truth

of what it actually is.

Proceeding
forward with these experiments

that will take into
account the strange activity

and even equipment malfunction

that we are dealing with in
the region on Skinwalker Ranch

that we now refer to as
the bubble is imperative.

Its placement on the
property may hold answers

and help us solve the mystery

as to what is
happening both above

and below this
mysterious property.

Our goal is to build large fires

so that we can map that bubble.

triangle, it's not coming down.
