what happened with

It was kind of just one
of those things where

we got really comfortable
with each other,

but it never felt permanent.

You know, like we both wanted
a family and lots of kids.

It wasn't really
tied to one event.

It was just more of this
slow realization that,

we were just fine together.

Not great,

not forcing each other to
grow in any exciting way.

And even though we
both wanted a family,

maybe it just wasn't meant
to be with each other.

There's so many moving parts
to a relationship, right.

We want it to work.
We want them to be the one.

I think we have a tendency
to focus on what's right.

And then we sweep everything
else under the rug.

And then there are
those times where it's

not bad enough to leave,
but not good enough to stay.

[Janet] I feel so bad
for my last patient.

This gorgeous weather and he's
stuck in a cast for six weeks.

[Eric] Yeah, that happened
to me at that age.

Probably why I didn't
become a pro ball player.

Well that and my curve ball
broke more windows than records.

Speaking of kids,

what do you picture
for your future?

high school, I think he
had a thing for Martha.

I mean, I may have been younger,

with her husband being gone.

And the kids are away.

They had a friendly deal
that was mutually beneficial

and now Elsa Hubbard's just
looking for the highest bidder.

Newmans have the edge

when it comes to getting
capital together.

They always have and
they always will.

Well, we do
what we do best.

Due diligence.

really thought about it.

more time with your family,

it would give them time to
plan and give you some space.

But certainly, I don't want
to stress anybody out.

of your family.

sabbatical is a great idea.

And then I could just set
the date for my return.

some peace of mind.

And the upside is you're
not going to be pushed

between here and there anymore.

Which has got to be stressful.

But the downside is they won't
be able to hold your position

here at this specific location.

We'd have to reassign you
to another congregation

wherever you're needed most.

I mean, I mean, of course
I know that happens.

I just hadn't considered that.

It's a blessing to share

heads and hearts

and the words feel too far away

go out in nature.

It really helps put

but this is the wetland
reserve easement.

It's also officially recorded.

How can two parties
own the same land?

They can't.

This feels like a
big ball of red tape.

It certainly poses a problem.

Well, it slows down any
moves on the property

because federal land,
by definition,

can't be privately sold.

Or developed.

Right. So if we can be the
first ones in the government's

ear on this, maybe we can
be the ones to unravel

that ball of red tape
and get the land.

Well, that's the next step.

I have to do a
little more research

into what kind of conditions
exist on this easement.

The federal documents will
give us more information.

into both Dad and
Daniel's plans.
