All language subtitles for F1 GP Academy Valencia 2023 Race Highlights

It's all eyes to the lights and foot to
the floor as we go racing in Valencia

for round two of F1 Academy.

And it's a great start for Hamda Al
-Khobaisi in the all -orange MP

car who gets Nerea Marti off the line
and down into turn one. We go into the

left hand and Nerea Marti under pressure
then from the other MP Motorsport car

of Hamda Al -Khobaisi as well who's
trying to get up alongside her. Nerea

struggling to hold on here as Lina Bula
in the Sauber Academy colours tries to

find a way through. Nerea Marti just
about keeps hold of second place. played

for that has allowed Hamna Al -Khobaisi
up the road.

Jess Edgar going toe -to -toe with
Martha Garcia as we get Bianca

runs off wide into the gravel, manages
to get back onto the track though.

Hamna Al -Khobaisi is leading this race,
but Nerea Marti is closing in.

Handao Kobasi was able to pull a second
on the rest of the field in the early

laps. But now Nerea Marti is close right
up behind her. Less than half a second

now.

The pink and blue road in Carlin of
Abbey. Pulling now. Fancy to go down the

inside of Caceres. Makes that move.
Stick.

Caceres losing position here. Lola
Lovenfo. Down the inside of her Campos

teammate. Carrie Schreiner will be
looking to pounce as well, right onto

back of Mater Catalyst, the black and
white ARC versus the white with black

Campos on home soil.

It's Carrie Schreiner, the German racer
on the inside, a stellar career in GT

racing, tries to make the move down the
inside into turn one, can't quite get

alongside enough. Catalyst holds the
position for now.

The red and white framer in front is
Chloe Chong.

And the one chasing is Marta Garcia, our
championship leader.

Light mistake there. That allows Marta
Garcia to get down the inside. A little

bit of a lock -up there. Side -by -side,
the two framers. Chong holds around the

outside, but Garcia just manages to
carry way more momentum and makes the

stick. Garcia through on her teammate.

The two framers switch around. It's now
Garcia in seventh, Chong eighth.

Trouble then for Chloe Chong in the
prema who finds the gravel.

The 16 -year -old then manages to spin
it back around the right way and she has

plummeted down the timing screen. She's
now plum -la.

Our championship leader Marta Garcia
still struggling down in seventh, having

made her way through the back of the
pack, is now a little bit stuck behind

teammate Bianca Bustamante, who is
driving superbly to keep her Prima out

front. If it ends like this, it's really
going to close things up in the

championship as we head into race two.

And Alcavesi up front continues to
extend her lead. Now nearly at two and a

seconds, this has been a sublime drive
for the Emirati racer.

The battle over tenth then heats up Lola
Lovenfos. The closest she's been up

behind Amelie de Hoogh. Can she find her
way through? De Hoogh goes wide. That

allows Lola Lovenfos through. Can
Pulling try and find her way through

De Hoogh rejoins the track. Pulling has
to think about going down the inside.

She can't make it work. But she'll get
the better run out of the corner. Side

side. De Hoogh cuts her off. Pulling
forced to wait and bide her time. De

stabilising in eleventh. Pulling in
twelfth. Lola Lovenfos escaping up the

with that final points paying position.

It is Hamda Alkabasi who takes the
chequered flag and wins race one.

75 days ago she shattered her arm, was
told she would not be able to race for

least four months. Her father made her a
promise that she would make the start

of F1 Academy and here she is proving
that it was all worth it.

Well, at the end of race one here in
Valencia for F1 Academy, Hamza Al

wins ahead of Nerea Marti. Lina Buller
rounds out the podium. Chloe Grant and

Bianca Bustamante in the top five. Marta
Garcia.

Damage limitation in sixth. Amna Al
-Khobaisi comes home in seventh after a

penalty for track limits. We saw a few
of those hands out in the race, which

have upset the order as they crossed the
line. Megha Jilk is in eighth ahead of

Jess Edgar.

And Lola Lovenfoest picked up that final
point in tenth place after a really

great battle with Abby Pulling. Carrie
Schreiner coming home in twelfth in

of Mika Kapanen. Amelie de Hoogh for the
slight mistake from her, seeing her run

out wide, coming home into fourteenth
place, along with a track limits

Chloe Trott. had a spin into the pit
lane and is not classified I'm really

with the pace I was very consistent and
yeah didn't get any track limit

penalties I was always on track so yeah
I was really happy about it

the revs rise and it is all eyes to the

in Valencia of F1 Academy. It's a good

start by Bianca Bustamante. Chong coming
under pressure straight away then from

Lina Buller in the number seven ART,
swooping around the outside into turn

Buller makes the move, stick, gets up
into second. Can she have the leader?

Bianca Bustamante.

Bustamante has to take a defensive line
coming into turn two. Further back in

the pack, Marta Garcia trying to make up
position straight away.

It all starts to concertina up at the
back. Contact at the rear of the field

well with Amelie de Hoogh and Carrie
Schreiner.

Safety car out then as we have Amelie de
Hoogh.

She's getting a little bit of assistance
from the marshals. That might be the

reason why she has been given a black
flag. She has been disqualified from

race.

We get back underway with racing here.

in Valencia further back in the pack
side by side that looks like Chloe Chong

and the red and white Prima coming under
pressure from Handa Al -Khrabaisi can

Handa find a way through yes she can
she's now skating up to the back of her

teammate further back Megan Jilks in the
road and Carlin runs out wide manages

to keep it going losing a few positions
though in the process

Jess Edgar down the inside of Chloe
Grant into the final corner. She'll get

alongside.

It'll be a drag race to turn one. And
guess what? Marta Garcia wants in on

as well. And she gets both of them into
turn one. Round the outside, your

championship leader in the red and white
Prima makes her way through on Grant

and Jess Edgar.

Grant and Edgar still going toe to toe.

Grant forced out wide but gets the move
done in front of Jess. But Jess is still

keeping her nose in. But I think that is
game over for the time being. Grant

makes her way through.

It's two framers going toe -to -toe.
Marta Garcia, the championship leader,

versus Chloe Chong, the youngest and
most inexperienced racer in the field,

holding third for the time being for a
top five position.

The move being done then by Martha
Garcia, nice and tidy from the Spanish

on home soil, makes her way through on
her Pramod teammate, Chloe Chong, down

sixth. Garcia up into the top five.

The two MP motorsport cars of Amna
Alkrabasi and Hamda Alkrabasi fighting

for the final podium position at the
moment. Amna is in the car ahead, but

is looking like the feistier of the two
at the moment. Lina Buller just in front

of these two.

Hamda is going to have the tighter line
for the next corner.

Hamda, much wider line. And Hamda just
drives on by. Hamda up into third.

And Bianca Bustamante drops the wheel
into the gravel. She manages to keep it

going. But that allows Bula and Hamda Al
-Khobaisi to close right in on her.

Can Bianca Bustamante hold on? It will
be Bustamante who crosses the line first

to win her first F1 Academy race.

The Filipino racer Bianca Bustamante
celebrates. What a start to her F1

Academy championship.

So Bianca Bustamante wins race two just
ahead of Lina Buller in second. And

Hamda Alkabesi.

getting the final spot on the podium in
third.

Amna Alkabasi was fourth. Marta Garcia,
great recovery drive from the

championship leader.

The gap at the top closed down, but she
finished in fifth. Chloe Chong was sixth

in front of Chloe Grant. Lola Lobenfoest
picks up the final point in eighth

spot. Jess Edgar just missing out in
ninth. Mayta Cateris rounds out the top

ten. Carrie Schreiner, Abby Pulling and
Megan Jilk make up the rest of the

runners. Jilk in third team. Amelie de
Hoche and Nerea Marti, with issues

that race, failed to finish.

It was an amazing feeling, my first ever
race win.

The national anthem from Philippines was
played in the podium and that just got

me crying.

It hasn't been played for a very long
time so I'm very thankful for it.

It's a good start for our pole sitter
Marta Garcia in the red and white frame

who gets... Going well. Nerea Marti in
the white Campos gets alongside Abby

Pulling. Pulling will have the inside
line in the pink road in Carlin. They go

side by side. Lina Bula in the Sauber
Academy. Carlin's trying to find the

inside line to get through on Pulling 2.
Pulling down to third. Marti up to

second. Pulling and Lina Bula coming oh
so close. But they keep it out of each

other's way.

Frantic start here.

Marta Garcia who leads the way.

It is Amna Al -Ghabaisi who makes hay on
Jess Edgar.

Edgar losing two spots in the space of a
couple of corners because Lola Lovenfos

in the Campos makes her way through.

Edgar in trouble here in the number 11.

Here's a replay of the start from Jess
Edgar. Let's see if we can see how she

gets this front wing damage.

Chloe Grant on the outside at turn one.
And there you see contact which causes

the damage to Jess Edgar's Roland
Carlin.

Campos, she has to tug back in on Amna
Al -Khobaisi. She moves to the inside

line late on the break. Can she make the
move work? Hamda Al -Khobaisi's got the

best view in the house. Amna runs wide.

Lovenfos down the inside on Amna Al
-Khobaisi in the Orange MP motor school

She's run out wide by the Campos. They
both run out wide. Can Hamda find a way

through? No, she can't. She slots in
behind.

But still, for the time being, it's a
great battle between Lovenfos, Al

-Khobaisi, Amna and Hamda over sixth
place.

Amelie de Hoogh and Meta Caceres going
wheel to wheel. Caceres forces de Hoogh

out wide but de Hoogh keeps her nose in.
She'll have the inside for the next

corner. De Hoogh down the inside and
Meta Caceres to make the move stick. De

Hoogh up to 11th.

Bustamante to the inside trying to
force.

Megan Gilkes into a mistake.

Gilkes takes a much wider line.
Bustamante down the inside.

They're side by side. Gilkes will have
the inside, but it's not enough.

Bustamante sweeps round the outside and
gets herself up into ninth spot.

Lola Lovenfos wants to make up a spot on
Chloe Grant. Chloe Grant to the

outside. They go side by side. There's
contact.

Lovenfos spins out. Hamna Alkabasi and
Hamna Alkabasi have to take avoiding

action.

She was going down the inside of Chloe
Grant. Grant squeezed her to the inside

of the apex.

Lovenfos picking up a little bit of the
dirt on the inside.

It was enough to send Lovenfos spinning
out and into the gravel.

Contact between Jilks and Chong. Further
back in the pack sees them

spinning out into the gravel.

But out of the final corner, she is led
from start to finish.

Marta Garcia takes another win in F1
Academy and extends her championship

advantage. She's joined by her Spanish
compatriot, Nerea Marti, comes home in

second.

Let's get confirmation then of race
three. Marta Garcia wins out ahead of

Martin. Abby Pulling rounding out the
podium in front of Lina Buller. Hamda Al

-Khobaisi the top five. Amna Al
-Khobaisi in sixth. Bianca Bustamante,

Schreiner, Jess Edgar and Amelie de
Hoche round out the top ten. Chloe Grant

demoted to eleventh after two separate
time penalties applied for causing

incidents out on track with Jess Edgar
and Lola Levinfo. So she finds herself

down in eleventh in front of Meza
Kassadis. Megan Jilk.

and Chloe Chong.

I had a good start, and then I took some
rhythm, and, yeah, finally won the

race. So we have safety car in the last
four laps, so it was a bit tricky.

But, yeah, really, really happy with the
job.

At the end of round two, then, it's
Marta Garcia who extends her

lead. 26 points the gap now. 97 at the
top for Garcia in front of Hamda Al

-Khrabaisi in second with 71.

Nerea Marti in third, 53 points to her
name. Justin from Lina Bula, Hamda Al

-Khrabaisi, Bianca Bustamante, Abby
Pulling getting her first podium, sees

up in two -seventh in front of Jess
Edgar, Chloe Grant, Megan Jilk, the top

Then it's Chong, Lovenfos, Schreiner,
Amelie de Hoche, and Mesa Cáceres, 15th

the second.

In the teams, it's Prema that leads the
way with 152 points, 28 more than MP

Motorsport. Then it's a really tight
battle for third at the moment with

Carlin just a point ahead of ARC Grand
Prix and Campus Racing sitting in fifth.
