My name is Austin Gilbert.
I am 25 years old,

and I'm from Eugene, Oregon.

Growing up, my dad was always
a hard-core blue-collar worker,

12- to 18-hour days.

He always taught me

that you have to work
for everything you want.

I will put in every ounce
of blood, sweat, and tears.

My vocals, my guitar,
I taught myself everything.

I watched a lot
of YouTube videos,

and I'd sit there
for hours and hours and hours,

and I just -- I never quit.

After high school,
I enlisted in the Army.

I was a multiple launch
rocket system crew member.

I shot long range
precision missiles.

It was crazy,
a kid barely out of high school

going straight into serve
our country across the world,

away from everything
you ever known.

I'm so proud of him.

that I'm so proud you.

I know.

I honestly am.

I knew you were going to be
the best you could be.

After the Army,

I work a 9:00 to 5:00 job
Monday through Friday.

On the weekends, I grind out
music at local bars, grills,

trying to get into
some festivals.

I had a gig one night
and my now-fiancée, Brittni,

happened to come in
and see me play.

We started dating
and moved in together and --

It'll be a big change,
but it's gonna be worth it.

Brittni and I found out
that we're pregnant

with a beautiful baby boy,
so we're excited for that.

I'm not doing this just for me.

I'm doing this for my family.

Getting a chair turn
will change our lives.

going crazy.

Following that, at 18,

I decided to join the boy band
called 4EY The Future.

It opened my eyes
to the fact, like,

and it can be gone tomorrow.

But who I am today, it created.

This is a huge opportunity
for me, because

The flower farm is a farm
that my mom started

when me and my sisters
went off to college.

She started selling eggs,
selling flowers,

and then her business
kind of took off.

This is me
and my best friend, Cruella.

She was picked on a lot
as a little chick,

so we had to give her
a lot of special attention.

Um, so she turned out to be more
like a puppy than a chicken,

and I love her so much for that.

She's adorable. Look at her.

I love being on the farm.

It's really peaceful.

I like to go out there
and write songs.

Sometimes I'll sing
to the animals.

I think Cruella likes it, but
I don't know about the others.

I think they might only like me
when I bring them food.

This is crazy that we're

without my parents

amazing woman I have ever known,

and I miss her so much.
