know where they come from,

who made them, or
how they operate.

What are they?

Some
sort of bizarre mutation.

What's exciting

is nobody really knows.

Extraordinary claims
need extraordinary proof.

I'm Tony Harris,
and as a journalist

for more than 30 years,
I've followed the facts

where they take me.

Now I'm bringing that
spirit of investigation

to the world's strangest
sounds and images.

We'll analyze each
one with top experts.

It's a credible case,
it's a credible video.

And pass a
verdict on what it is.

This video is clearly faked.

The proof starts now.

Good evening, and welcome
to "The Proof Is Out There."

Due to ongoing tensions
with its neighbor, India,

Pakistan is highly
sensitive about

anomalous incidents
in its airspace.

So when a team of
Pakistani commercial pilots

spotted a mysterious object
outside their window,

they took notice and
took out a camera.

January 23, 2021.

A Pakistan International
Airlines Airbus A320

is on a routine flight from
Lahore to Karachi when suddenly

the pilots notice a
bright ball in the sky

over the city of Rahim Yar Khan.

At first, the object
appears to glow and pulsate,

but that's because the camera
is trying to focus on it.

Slowing down, the video shows
the object appears to be

a solid white orb.

Excitement grows as they
struggle with a smartphone

to zoom in and hold
the object in frame.

Journalist Amy
Teitel says this isn't

the first time pilots
have reported

strange orb-like objects

over Pakistan's skies.

In January of 2019, a
report was filed that the crew

on a flight from Karachi to

Sikur saw an object floating

about 105 feet above
their aircraft.

The object they
saw wasn't bright.

It was kind of oval-shaped.

The incident was immediately
reported to air traffic control

in Karachi, but the
details of the sighting

were never released
to the public.

For decades, commercial
and military pilots

faced scorn and ridicule
for reporting UFO sightings,

which could have resulted in a
loss of critical information.

Our team of experts
is about to give

this Pakistani
airline crew's footage

the attention it deserves.

We begin with military
aviation expert Tim McMillan,

who agrees with one of the
pilot's immediate assessments.

We don't see rotors,

we don't see a jet engine,

we don't see anything
that would propel it.

We don't see control
surfaces, that type of thing.

And so it's not a
plane or a helicopter.

These experienced
commercial pilots had no idea

what they were seeing.

Could that be
because it's something

not of this world?

We know that from the Pentagon

and their official UAP
investigative office

that the sphere or round shape

are the most commonly
reported UFOs that they have.

So this shape of UFO
is very consistent.

But McMillan
also notes, if it's a UFO,

it's certainly not
acting like one.

Typically, when
you're thinking of UFO,

you're talking about
sightings of objects

that perform in ways
that we can't comport

with any known technology.

So is there anything
in this video

that I see that would
tell me that it requires

an explanation for
it being alien?

No.

Instead, McMillan
believes the orb-like shape

of this object isn't that
unusual to find in the sky.

And he disagrees with one
of the pilots on board.

The round sphere shape is
not an aerodynamic shape.

So it's something that is
having to maintain altitude

by lighter than air gases.

And for me, the only
type of airborne object

that would be consistent
with it would be a balloon.

Astronomer
Marc D'Antonio says

there may even be a clue
to the kind of balloon.

He points out the flight
path from Lahore to Karachi

isn't far from the
border of India,

Pakistan's longtime adversary.

This might be a
Pakistani version

of a Chinese spy balloon.

If so, that payload
would be hanging

directly beneath the
balloon, lost in the glare.

You'd never see it because
those payloads are closer

to the balloon.

They're not hanging
way down below

like many aerial weather
balloons have hanging from them.

But proving it?
McMillan admits for now,

the full evidence isn't there.

It certainly has
all the appearance

and shape of a balloon,
and so what type of balloon

it could be, could
be anybody's guess.

Our verdict, McMillan
is leaning balloon,

but the pilot himself insists
that's not what this was.

For now, to be safe, we're
going with unidentified object.

The frantic camera work
just doesn't give us

a clear enough image
to be definitive.

A rep from the airline
claims they don't know

what the object was either,

but they won't be launching
their own investigation.

Now, let's talk sea monsters.

From giant squid to
giant spider crabs,

Japan is certainly no stranger
to uncanny aquatic creatures.

But a recent video is
puzzling marine biologists,

allegedly showing
something or someone

lurking on the ocean floor.

Have a look.

2010, Sagami Bay, just
southwest of Tokyo.

JAMSTEC,

the Japan Agency for Marine
Earth Science and Technology,

is using deep-diving ROV cameras

to record exotic marine
life on the ocean floor

when they suddenly capture this.

It looks like a
large sea creature

lurking on the bay floor
at a depth of 3,353 feet

with small eyes and a
peculiar Mona Lisa smile.

Look closer.

Whatever it is seems
partially buried.

Some speculate only its
head is peeking out,

which means its full
body could be far bigger.

But with no other visual
reference for scale,

its exact size remains unknown.

Field researcher
Ken Gerhard suggests

that we could be looking
at actual evidence

of the mythical Japanese
creature known as the Ningen.

In Japanese mythology,
the Ningen is a titanic,

aquatic sea monster ranging
from 65 to 100 feet in length.

And it's characterized by having
very smooth, blubbery skin,

humanoid features,
including a large human head

with giant eyes and a
big slit for a mouth.

Also having tendril-like
limbs or arms and hands.

These alleged
photos supposedly show

Ningen swimming in the
Atlantic and Antarctic oceans.

However, with no clear
source behind these pics,

their authenticity
is questionable.

Japanese sailors have also
told stories about monsters

haunting their
waters for centuries.

One nightmarish legend, the
Umibozu who could supposedly

tear large boats right in half.

Many believed it played a hand

in the 1955 Toya Maru
ferry disaster,

where more than 1,000
people drowned at sea.

But could this be one
of the many unexplained

Japanese sea creatures of lore?

The Japanese
scientific expedition

that shot this footage

was actually able to classify
eight brand new species

of marine animals.

What they were unable to
classify is the animal

that we're seeing in this film.

Just southeast of
Japan is an area known

as the Devil's Sea,

basically the Pacific's
version of the Bermuda Triangle

where all manner of
ships have gone missing.

It's been speculated that
unidentified sea creatures

could play a role.

There are few things more
exciting than identifying

a new species.

So what is this?

We turn to our experts.

Many people who have seen
this video think this could be

a beluga whale, but
marine biologist

Shea Steingass says
that's unlikely.

Beluga whales are
an Arctic species.

They have evolved
over time to live in

the very cold ocean environment.

This is such a warm environment

compared to what
they're adapted to.

It would be incredibly
unexpected to see a beluga whale

in this environment.

So could it be an oceanic
Japanese creature of myth

like the Ningen?

Steingass is doubtful.

The Ningen is said
to have human-like legs

and that doesn't make a
lot of evolutionary sense.

Marine mammals
tend to have fins.

If you were to have legs,
you would have to have

very powerful blood flow.

This would cause the bends.

When humans dive deep,

nitrogen leaves the
lungs and is absorbed

into the bloodstream.

The nitrogen
returns to our lungs

when we rise, but
if done too quickly,

it can get stuck in
our circulatory system,

causing decompression
sickness, AKA the bends.

Fins have circulatory
systems far less complicated

than those found in
human appendages,

requiring far less blood flow.

And many marine mammals can
even collapse their lungs,

evolutionary steps to prevent
them from getting the bends.

A humanoid-type
body would not do well

in these types of
depths underwater.

So we're
starting to wonder,

is this footage even real?

Forensic video analyst,
Michael Primeau,

takes a deep dive
into our footage

to examine its credibility.

There's a lot of visual
aspects that aid in verifying

that there's something
under the water

that the camera is capturing.

The onscreen
telemetry information

has the same kind of artifacting
or chroma aberrations

that you would expect to see
from a video that was created

by underwater technology.

And while this
footage appears legit,

Primeau is doubtful that
the thing we are looking at

is actually moving.

It appears to be that
the motion of the camera

may be tricking the mind into
thinking that it's moving.

But through
frame-by-frame analysis,

I was not able to detect any
evidence of the object moving.

So how could an organic
specimen be so motionless?

Well, Steingass
suggests this thing

may not be organic at all.

It's really easy to
think that this might be

some kind of animal
at first glance,

because that's exactly what
our brain is telling us.

But I think we're just
looking at something solid

on the ocean floor.

Some kind of
geological formation,

like a seamount or a rock spire,

something made out
of sand or rock,

with a couple of small ocean
creatures sitting on top of it.

It's a mix of geological
and animal phenomenon

that together look like
it could be an organism.

Just an example of
our brain tricking us.

Our verdict?

We are saying this thing is
an unknown inanimate object

with a couple of small sea
critters tagging along,

masquerading as facial features.

We can't identify it exactly,

but both Steingass
and Primeau agree

whatever this thing
is, it ain't moving.

As for those other alleged
Ningen sightings we mentioned,

we're on the case,
so stay tuned.

Here on "The
Proof Is Out There,"

we've heard plenty of amazing
stories of alien encounters

and even abductions that
we've had to pass on

because there was no
corroborating evidence.

So when one woman told us
she had proof on her body,

it's fair to say our
interest was piqued.

September 16th, 2017,

Sev Tok and her
boyfriend have just moved

to Arapaho, North Carolina.

The two are still unpacking
when suddenly Sev feels

what she describes as
a bug bite on her rear.

And when she looks...

We were both stunned,

wondering how did
this red X show up

on the left cheek of your tush?

Nine dots were
arranged on her skin

in a perfect X formation.

The mark doesn't itch, and
upon running her fingers

over it, Sev feels neither
a raise nor indentation.

I couldn't feel it.

I decided, let's
just ignore this.

We're gonna pretend like
this never even happened.

Nine days after
discovering those first marks,

Sev says she was startled awake

by a rush of disturbing
memory fragments.

Believing them to be
from the night before,

she recalled an
unearthly encounter.

I was lying on this bed
that resembled a hospital bed.

And I turned my head around,
and standing right behind me,

right here, just inches
from me, was a Gray.

By Gray,
Sev is referring

to the infamous Gray Aliens,

intergalactic antagonists in
many alien abduction accounts.

We locked eyes, and ding,
I'm back in my bedroom.

Fearing that these
visions weren't just a dream,

Sev checks the mirror and
discovers a second X mark

has appeared on her backside,

directly across
from the original.

The marks lasted
around three weeks

before fading from her skin.

I was so afraid
and so confused.

There was no logical
explanation for this.

Sev's story
may sound incredible,

but Mindy Tautfest of the
Mutual UFO Network, or MUFON,

says it's more common
than you might think.

Following an
abduction encounter,

people can walk away with all
kinds of strange markings,

including bruising, scratches,
all the way up to implants.

For instance, in October 1973,

two fishermen were allegedly
abducted by a hovering craft,

subjected to
physical examination,

and returned with small
punctures in their skin.

It's because of these punctures,
not unlike Sev's marks

in size and shape, that
their abduction story

has been called one of the
most credible in history.

Back in 2003, one
Harvard study found

that memories of alien abduction

can leave real
psychological scars

akin to post-traumatic stress.

As for the validity
of Sev Tok's marks,

we'll leave it to our
experts to decide.

Wildlife biologist,
Stephanie Manka,

considers Sev's first instinct.

Could this be a bug bite?

All of the circles
are the same size.

It's in a straight line,

and the measurements between
the circles look the same.

So maybe this
is the work of a bug

with linear feeding
habits, like bedbugs.

They tend to bite
in straight lines,

simply because they hide
along the straight edges

of blankets and sheets.

But that wouldn't explain an X.

It's highly unlikely
that bugs could bite

in a coordinated
pattern like this.

Manka considers
that these marks could be

in some way self-inflicted.

Some have noticed a similarity
between these photos

and the marks often left by a
practice called Kambo Therapy.

Kambo is a spiritual
and medicinal practice

that originated in the
Amazon by indigenous tribes.

In a Kambo cleanse,
shamans burn shallow wounds

into the skin,
like you see here,

then apply the secretions of
the toxic giant monkey frog,

which enter the bloodstream.

The goal is to cure a
multitude of illnesses,

but Manka's not sure
that's what this is.

I don't think this is
Kambo because the areas

that appear to be healing
are not scarring in the way

that we would typically
expect them to.

When Kambo heals,
it leaves a mark

that is lighter than the
skin color around it.

We're not getting that
lighter color we would expect.

Next, we
have Dr. Ed Hope,

who notes that the way
these marks are healing

also adds some complications

to the abduction
theory timeline.

This image here is
taken immediately after

Sev's vision of being abducted,

but we can see it's actually
gone through a healing process

because some of
the discoloration is

actually fading away.

So I don't think it's
related to Sev's vision

of being abducted because it
was likely there beforehand.

Then again, Sev's
vision and second set of marks

may have been from her
first alleged encounter

nine days earlier.

After all, there is a
history of self-proclaimed

alien abductees losing
and later recovering

memories of their abductions.

Still, we can't be sure
when Sev got these marks,

and Dr. Hope says
there's no clear answer

on how she got them either.

There is either some kind
of light, penetrating trauma

that's damaged the skin

or something that's
pressed against

that has irritated the skin.

And I'm not sure which of
those two is more likely,

and I'm also not sure
what kind of object

would actually
create this pattern.

I don't know what's
going on here.

Our verdict,
unknown skin trauma.

We just can't pinpoint what
instrument could have created

these distinct geometric marks.

Despite Dr. Hope's skepticism,
Sev is convinced the Grays

gave her these marks, and many
in the UFO community agree.

are an average of

six million car crashes

in the United States alone.

Often it's because the
drivers in those collisions

never saw the other car coming,

and maybe there's
a good reason why.

Watch this.

It's July 2018.

A video goes viral that
seems to be a compilation

of mysterious accidents.

We see a white sedan crossing
the center line to turn left

when it seems to be hit by
an invisible oncoming car.

Then in another crash, caught
on a highway traffic cam,

a car rolls on its
side after colliding

with something unseen.

Finally, a silver SUV appears
to smash into thin air

while traveling through
an intersection.

Some viewers claim this is an
example of something called

a time slip, that the cars
are actually colliding

with cars that were on
the same road in the past

or that will be in the future.

The theory goes that past,
present, and future exist

continually rather
than sequentially,

so it's possible to
slip back and forth

between different timelines.

Author Alexis Brooks says
there's some precedent

for this idea, including
a famous incident

from 1901 when two
British tourists

were visiting Versailles.

What they described in a
book called "An Adventure"

was being in this small chateau
area and all of a sudden

the scene changed.

What they say that they
saw were individuals

in 18th century period clothes
walking around in the garden.

One of the women that they
witnessed was none other than,

they say, Marie Antoinette.

So did these
two tourists momentarily

slip back through time over
a century into the past?

And could time slips
explain another strange

but well-documented
accident investigation

from December 2002?

It was near Burpham
in Surrey, England.

Several drivers call police
saying they've seen a car

lose control and
careen off the highway.

But when police arrive,
there's no sign of a wreck.

For Americans,
that's a license plate.

Officer Ian Kyle
says what they find

is a crashed maroon
Vauxhall Astra.

And lying underneath is not a
body, but rather a skeleton,

that of a missing
21-year-old man.

That's right,
the fatal accident

apparently happened
five months earlier.

But eyewitnesses say
they saw it take place

right before their
eyes that very night.

So did the people of
Surrey and the ones

in these crash clips temporarily
slip back through time?

The closest thing to
time slips that most people

can probably relate to is
the sensation of deja vu.

So maybe time slips aren't
such an out there theory

for what led to these
mysterious crashes.

Let's see what
our experts think.

Physicist Dr. Matthew Szydagis
considers if these crashes

could be the result of
time slips to a past

that's already happened.

We know that from Einstein's
theory of relativity,

you could get a one-way
ticket to the future

by going close to
the speed of light.

What we do not know how to do
is time travel to the past.

This requires what's
called negative energy.

Negative energy
is having less energy

than empty space, which nobody
is currently able to do.

We don't know how to
harness a sufficient amount

of energy in order to allow
for time travel to the past.

So the question is,

are these crazy
crashes even real?

Forensic video analyst
Michael Primeau investigates.

The shadow changes
here as you examine

the shadow area from the
back of that vehicle.

And this is most likely
due to some sort of masking

that was done to try to
conceal the rest of the story

that we're not able to see.

And Primeau says
he's been able to track down

a key piece of
evidence that does tell

the rest of the story.

What we found is there was
a side-by-side comparison

done demonstrating the
original footage of the crash

versus the edited version.

It almost looks like some
sort of tint was added

to make the scene
itself look different.

So these are very
effectively edited clips

using actual
traffic cam footage.

As for that mysterious
English crash

and its skeletal
driver, Officer Ian Kyle

is still waiting for answers.

Our verdict?

The crash clips are a hoax,

the product of creative
digital editing.

We're still not really sure
what's going on with the strange

accident reports in Surrey,

but hopefully with
the passage of time,

we'll get that figured out, too.

You've heard of
the highway to hell

and the stairway to heaven,

but what about the
road to Atlantis?

Well, we're about to go down.

All the way.

It's July, 2020, just off the
coast of North Bimini Island

in the Bahamas.

A local tourism company
has set up a drone

to capture one of their
snorkel outings on video.

But the bird's eye view
reveals that these snorkelers

are about to encounter more
than local marine life.

The drone camera reveals
a cluster of rocks

on the ocean floor
that stretches out

in a distinct linear formation.

The snorkelers are seen
swimming along the path

known as Bimini Road.

Every time I've
swam across the road,

it has been a completely
different experience,

almost like a
electrical frequency

amplifies from the stones.

Many people have
incredible visions.

It's a truly magical place.

Robbyne and others
believe the strange formation

may be the remains of the
lost city of Atlantis.

This legendary island
kingdom was first mentioned

in the writings of the
Greek philosopher Plato,

who claims it sank into
the sea around 9600 BC.

But Atlantis in the Caribbean?

Yep.

Journalist Eric Grundhauser
notes that this theory

has existed ever since,
if not even before,

Bimini Road's discovery.

The discovery of
Bimini Road in 1968

actually coincided
with a prediction

by popular pop
psychic Edgar Cayce,

who said that
evidence of Atlantis

would actually be
discovered in 1968.

And closer inspection
only seems to confirm

suspicions of
man-made construction.

Subsea archaeologists
actually noticed that this

appeared to be disparate stones

that were placed
in this formation.

So is this proof

that the legend of
Atlantis is real?

The myth of Atlantis
often portrays it as a city

that was in possession
of advanced,

possibly extraterrestrial
technology that eventually

was sunk to the
bottom of the ocean.

Before you write off
the Atlantis theory

as too far-fetched,
remember that archeologists

have actually
discovered sunken sites,

like the ancient Egyptian
city of Thonis-Heracleion.

But can our experts dive deep
enough to find an ancient city

at Bimini Road?

First, we asked geologist
Dr. Bob Anderson

how it could be possible for
a whole city to simply sink.

There are several areas where
you can find ancient cities,

for example, the ancient
Roman city of Baiae,

which was located on the flanks

of a supervolcano
called Campi Flegrei.

It's now located in
the Gulf of Pozzuoli.

It sank due to bradyseism.

That is volcanic activity
that causes the ground

to rise and fall.

Geologists
believe that at Baiae,

underground magma built
up steam and pressure,

which fractured the rock
below the Earth's surface

and caused the
land above to move

and the sea below to flow in.

And though archaeologist
Dr. Ed Barnhart

says this is consistent
with legends of Atlantis,

he's not sure it's what
happened at Bimini Road.

There are no volcanoes
in the Bahamas,

so the Bimini Road could
not have been submerged

through the same processes.

Still, other
cities have disappeared

as a result of sea level rise.

So could this be the
sunken, or rather submerged,

city of Atlantis?

The lost city
of Atlantis began

with the stories of Plato.

So the Aegean is one option,
and then the Mediterranean

is another option.

But with the name Atlantis,

most folks put it in the
middle of the Atlantic Ocean,

but definitely not
in the Caribbean.

Since Plato didn't
know about the New World,

the location is
looking unlikely.

In fact, Barnhart says it's
probably not a road of any kind.

Roads connect one
place to another.

We have absolutely no
artifacts anywhere along it

or near it.

If it was man-made, we'd expect
some sort of man activity

buried underneath
it or nearby it.

But if Bimini
Road wasn't made by man,

how did it come to be?

I believe that the Bimini
Road is an ancient shoreline

of where the water was
about somewhere between

12,000 to 14,000 years ago.

And what happened is that
as the water has risen,

the shoreline has
become submerged,

and all the shells and
everything that wash up

on the shoreline become cemented
together to form limestone.

Then why does Bimini
Road look so artificial?

People say that because
it's so straight and long

that it couldn't have been
created by natural processes,

but because of limestone's
chemical composition

and structure, it breaks off
in very block-like formations.

Those look very much like
giant man-made blocks.

Our verdict?

It seems Bimini Road is a
natural geological formation.

In fact, it's only
18 feet underwater,

which makes the submerged
hardened coastline theory

look all the more likely.

As for why Robbyne and
other divers feel

what she called electrical
frequencies and visions

while diving there, that
remains unexplained.

We have our fair share
of strange animal stories

on this show, but this
may be the first time

where an animal is making us
question reality as we know it.

It's February 18th, 2023.

It's a cloudy day in
Surrey, British Columbia.

A young couple is driving up
a hill when they see something

that absolutely challenges
our expectations of physics.

So weird.

There's something
floating over the road,

seemingly suspended
in midair, unmoving.

As if that isn't weird enough,

when the couple drives closer,
the object comes into focus.

That's
freaking weird, man.

The object is,
in fact, a dead bird,

contorted unnaturally,
frozen in space.

When the footage
hit the internet,

the first thing people thought

was this is some twisted prank,

a bird hung from a fishing line.

Only there's one thing,
you'd have to hang it

from this power line.

Who would risk their
skin for a bad joke?

We've also seen odd videos

of other so-called
floating birds online.

So two
theories emerged.

First, that this was a
so-called glitch in the matrix,

the idea that we live
in a fabricated reality,

and every now and then something
unnatural occurs to prove

that life as we know it
is a virtual program.

The second is,
believe it or not,

even more far out,
that birds aren't real.

Ken Gerhard thinks birds
definitely are real,

but he explains the theory.

The "birds are
not real" movement,

and this is something that's

been growing on the internet.

It's a theory that the
US government eradicated

all of the living birds in the
world between the years 1959

and 1971 and replaced them
with mechanical birds.

According to the theory, the
government and the military

is using these birds
to survey people.

If there's any truth to it,
maybe what we're looking at here

is one of these mechanical
birds malfunctioning

and levitating somehow
above the ground.

What if we
just dropped all of a sudden?

Wouldn't that be freaky?

A robot that levitates
when it's broken is a mystery

in and of itself, folks.

And while birds aren't
real might sound silly,

it's a subject that gets
a lot of play on TikTok

and other social
media platforms.

Is this all a bit bird-brained?

We asked our experts.

First, forensic video analyst
Mick West is able to rule out

that there's any CGI
magic happening here.

We see the object off in the
distance and the motion blur

on the object is very consistent
with the things around it.

When we get a bit closer, we
see all this dirt moving around

on the windshield.

It's very hard to kind
of composite that in.

So I think this is,
in fact, a real video.

But wildlife biologist
Stephanie Manka says some videos

of so-called floating
birds just demonstrate

a cool aspect of avian flight.

Birds can definitely
appear very still.

If there's a really strong
wind, they can just glide

and just stay into one place.

This doesn't seem to
be the condition here.

This bird looks too contorted.

It's not in the right
position to be doing that.

So what does
Manka think about

the "birds aren't real" theory?

Many have pointed out that you
rarely ever see a baby bird

in the wild.

So could this be

a mechanical surveillance
bird glitching out?

It's not really that
people genuinely believe

that birds aren't real.

It's more of a satirical
take poking fun

at the 2016 election.

And it took off as this
like internet sensation.

There's definitely
baby birds out there.

By the way, the
main reason you don't see

a lot of baby birds
is because many types,

including crows,
sparrows, and pigeons

are kept hidden in their nests
until they are strong enough

to feed themselves and
tactfully handle predators.

To solve the mystery
of this floating bird,

we called Bryce Robinson,

a scientist at Cornell's
Lab of Ornithology.

It looks to me like
it is a young gull.

The shape of the tail, the
length of the wings is likely

that it got tangled
in fishing line.

This happens sometimes when
the gull tries to eat something

attached to a hook
and so gets the hook

caught in their mouth.

And then it's trailing this
long string of fishing line.

And that got caught
on a wire or a tree

and a gull probably tried
to swing back around

and in the struggle got tied up.

This unfortunately is something
that happens because people

are out there fishing and if
their fishing line gets caught,

they just cut it and let it go.

And it ends up sitting
there in the environment

and animals suffer from it.

Our verdict, this
is a juvenile gull

that got tangled up
in some fishing wire,

which then got caught
on a tree or a pole

above the street with
lethal consequences.

Well, it's no prank.

It's a scenario that's all
too common in coastal areas,

a direct result of
human irresponsibility.

Remember, take only photos,
leave only footprints.

And finally tonight, it's
human nature to think about

the end of the world,

you know, the apocalypse.

But it's one thing to imagine it

and another thing altogether
to see signs of it

right outside your front door.

It's winter 2023

and in Northern Ohio, various
people from different towns

are experiencing strange
natural phenomena

all around the same
two week time period

and within the same
150 mile radius.

One man wakes up to find that
the previous night's rainfall

has left a strange plastic like
film over his pickup truck.

Whatever
that [bleep] is,

it's taking the clear
coat right off my truck.

Another man records
the rain in his driveway

bubbling up like a cauldron.

And one woman records
a strange discoloration

she finds in a bed
of shallow water.

I think everybody needs

to see this.

Perhaps most disturbing
is this footage a woman

filmed of numerous dead fish
floating in her local creek.

There's
hundreds of them up here,

hundreds.

Journalist Eric Grundhauser
says the internet went wild.

What could be causing
these disturbances?

What could cause this type
of strange weather phenomenon?

Some are afraid that
they'll be forced indoors

by extreme acid rains.

Acid rain is
any type of precipitation

that contains high levels of
nitric and sulfuric acids,

mostly caused by
industrial pollution

such as the burning
of fossil fuels.

A strong acid rain can burn
a human's skin on contact

and even melt through
certain metals

as suggested in this video.

However, Grundhauser points
to popular speculation online

that suggests the
cause of these events

might be the Almighty himself.

Some of the weather phenomenon
have led many to associate

what is happening with
the biblical apocalypse.

The Book of Revelation
says that the end of days

will begin with the appearance
of the four horsemen

of the apocalypse,
powerful beings who serve

as harbingers of doom.

Later interpretations
would literally name

one of these
horsemen Pestilence,

thought to spread both disease
and rot throughout the land.

In this video, you can
actually see what appears to be

a dead white fish, and
that has led some people

to associate it with pestilence.

Before we get too
worried about the big one,

it's worth mentioning
that humanity has survived

several near apocalypses
before, \.

f \From super volcanoes
that blocked out the sun

with ash to the Ice Age
to the bubonic plague,

the resiliency of our
species has proven itself

time and time again.

As for these videos,
let's see if our experts

think we are seeing
evidence of the end of days.

Writer Mick West doesn't put
too much faith in the idea

that what we are
seeing is a sign

of a forthcoming apocalypse,

nor are we seeing some
strange form of acid rain.

Reason clear coat peels
is basically the effects

of the sun.

The ultraviolet rays of the
sun get between the clear coat

and the paint and can
cause a separation,

and you're gonna get
this flaking effect.

It's not actually that uncommon.

But what about
that bubbling concrete?

This is just air
escaping from the concrete.

Typically,
concrete's composition

is not unlike a sponge, with
thousands of tiny air holes

that help the material
last through freezing

and thawing cycles.

And when fresh rain falls,

you're gonna get that air
escaping from the concrete.

Acid rain is a very
weak form of acid.

If acid rain was
forming on concrete,

I think it would
take a lot longer

for bubbles to form than here.

While West may
have debunked those videos,

he does believe
the other instances

caught on camera are signs
of something truly alarming.

This video here, it shows a
woman stepping on some rocks,

and it's releasing this.

Petrochemicals rise up to
the surface of the water

and spread out.

It's an indicator that there's
some type of petrochemical

in the silt at the
bottom of the water here.

Meteorologist Juan
Hernandez agrees

there's something very
wrong going on here.

There was obviously a
ecological catastrophe.

What's really going
on here is all related

to that train derailment in
Ohio on February 3rd, 2023.

That's when a
9,300-foot freight train

derailed due to an
overheated wheel bearing,

causing the spill of
over 100,000 gallons

of hazardous chemicals.

Taking a look at
the wind direction,

in the aftermath of the
event, we see chemicals spread

in all directions and
release into the atmosphere.

Once the rain fell,

those chemicals then made
it to creeks and rivers.

The dumping of chemicals led
to a huge ecological disaster

that had a wide
range of impacts,

and we're likely not going
to know those impacts

for a couple of years.

Our verdict?

Well, it's mixed.

While many of these videos
are showing the unfortunate

environmental aftermath of
the Ohio train derailment,

a couple of folks seem to be
trying to hop on the bandwagon

with their own unrelated videos.

That's what we do on this show,
