Race two of F1 Academy in Montreal on
Saturday. A great getaway by Nina

but an incident for Chloe Chambers after
slight contact.

Spun her in turn one. There were more
contacts throughout the course of the

race. And sadly, we also saw one driver
out. Rafaela Ferreira suffered a non

-finish. Another late incident.

Also, we saw Nicole Havrida.

causing a safety car and that gave Emma
Felbermayer the chance to get in front

and despite popping over the final
chicane she took the victory with Ella

in second place so hello and welcome to
F1 Academy racing in Montreal in Canada

for the third time this weekend after
also establishing the next three years

the series to be racing at this 2 .7
mile 4 .3 kilometer 14 -turn circuit

created in the 1970s, and it has already
been providing us with some excellent

action, all sorts of fun and games in F1
Academy over the course of this

weekend. I'm Ben Edwards. Alongside me
is competitive racer, driver, coach, and

expert co -commentator Alice Powell. And
Alice, this day, the 15th of June, is

actually the anniversary of the day in
1958.

when Maria Teresa de Felites became the
first woman to compete in a world

championship Formula One race. So it's
great to see these racers competing with

backup from F1 teams and...

trying to prove that they have the
talent to get to that level in the

100%, Ben. And every single one of these
young drivers will be gunning, hoping

to get into Formula 1 one day. But as
you said, the support from F1 Academy,

sponsors, the Formula 1 team, is
incredible. And there is our pole

Chambers. It was her 21st birthday
yesterday, but she's not had a great

so far. Only the pole position really to
show for it.

Absolutely. She's finished 7th and 10th
so far, and yet she's had two fastest

laps. So it's just not been getting the
results. And Alicia Palmowski, who is

her teammate, who will be alongside on
the front row, hasn't gone great for

She got a penalty in the first race. She
had a 6th in the second race.

Dorianne Pant is going well for her, but
we shall see her championship lead is

certainly built up over the course of
the weekend. Let's take a look at the

-up to the grid from the back. Nicole
Havreau got a penalty from that last

18th, Eva Anagnostiadis. Starts in 17th
place.

Courtney Crone and Maya Verg on that
penultimate row. And Maya Verg, of

was the series leader coming into this
event. She really needs to move forward

if possible. Wildcard entry. Matilda
Patz doing a good job. 14th on the grid.

Aria Noble starts in 13th place.

Alba Larson. Keep an eye on Alba. She's
been jumping up into the top ten easily.

12th on this one. 11th for Joanne
Chiconte.

Leah Block starting in 10th place. And
Rafaela Ferreira, who suffered that non

-finish in race two. She's starting in
ninth. Chloe Chong was on pole for the

reverse grid race. She starts eighth for
this one. Nina Gaidman starts in

seventh. She led so much of race two. It
was Emma Feldermeyer who went on to

take the win in race two. She starts
sixth. Tina Hausman starting from fifth

place. Ella Lloyd has had two second
places here this weekend. She starts in

fourth. And championship leader Dorianne
Pound starts in third. And then on that

front row, we've got Alicia Talmowski
and Chloe Chambers, both looking for a

result for the first time out of the
three races here.

So back to line -up.

Conditions are good, there's no doubt
about it. The conditions of the track,

etc., nothing much to worry about,
unlike Miami, of course, when they had

whole race cancelled.

Yes, safe to say the conditions are much
nicer than Miami nearly two months ago

now, but track conditions much better in
terms of rubber going down. We've had a

support race out already this morning,
so a little bit of the overnight dust

been cleared. But in terms of air and
track... temperature is pretty much

exactly the same as what it was in
qualifying.

So they've had some experience of
running in these temperatures.

But of course, like I said, the track
temperature is going to be, sorry, the

track surface is going to be very
different. And Ella Lloyd, two podiums

yesterday. Can she make it a hat trick
of podiums this weekend?

Yeah, she's doing really well at the
moment. And she is currently fourth in

points. She's a couple of points now
ahead of Alicia Palmowski.

She's a little bit more of a... to Chloe
Chambers, who is currently third in the

series, but it is Dorianne Pan who is
leading by a decent amount, and she

in the Mercedes -supported car. That
starts from third place. So they're on

formation lap now. Hopefully they all
get away well.

What's the latest on Maya Verg, Alice?
Because she's had car problems through

much of this weekend. She didn't get the
car out in qualifying.

Race one was horrible. She had to not
finish. But race two, she did actually

a much... better finish.

I wonder what she can do in this one.

Yeah, so she's had a torrid weekend.
Came into this weekend as the

leader, one point ahead of Dorian Pan.
She's now second, 29 points behind

Dorian. So she finished ninth yesterday,
and that was her only session or run of

doing a full session. So car seems to be
sorted now.

So she's going to be starting down at
15.

That's right. So we'll have to see how
that goes. So our top three on the grid.

Let's hear from them. They spoke. to us
after qualifying?

I think we made some good progress.

If we compare to FP1, that was not very
positive for us.

So at least this is positive. We picked
up some space, but it's still not enough

for the pole today.

But we're still in the game to fight for
the races, so looking forward to it.

I think it's a great opportunity to
start from the front row of the grid.

That's two races out of the three now
this weekend that will be starting from

the front row. So a great opportunity to
try and maximise and capitalise on the

points. A lot of points done off with
this weekend.

Equally a little bit frustrated because
I do definitely think we could have been

in the fight more for pole position.

It was a very messy session, to be
honest, with traffic. We got a lot of

just as I had the peak of the tyre. So
we didn't really maximise the

opportunity.

But even with a messy session, we're
still P2. So it's good progress that

making.

Yeah, I mean, definitely a lot of
opportunity to make up points.

Unfortunately for Maya, starting further
back tomorrow and then having those

engine issues today, so it didn't get
the best qualifying for her. So that's a

big opportunity for all of us to make up
points on her.

Yes, and of course, Chloe said that on
Friday, and Maia hasn't been able to

score many points, but who has, of
course, is Dorianne Pan, who you heard

She's starting from third place, and
she's managed to open up that

lead quite seriously.

But this could be a bit of a different
story in this one, with the two Campos

cars on the front row of the grid,
backed by Red Bull, and both of them

shown great competitiveness.
Unfortunately, they had a little bit of

connection contact in the first race.
Let's hope they can keep it clean in

one. Again, I'm sure Campos have already
sat them down, certainly after the

first race and said, right, you know,
you need to keep it together. And

been so fast this weekend and they've
not really had anything to show for it.

You know, they've not even had a podium
this weekend and they topped practice

and qualifying as all the cars are
finally lining up on the grid.

Yeah, we're all seeing the green flag at
the back of the grid now. So we are

ready to go racing the third race of the
weekend for F1 Academy in Canada.

Lights out. Away we go.

And it's a good start again from Chloe
Chambers, who gets away from that pole

position, gets ahead of Alicia Palmoski.
And it's Ella Lloyd in the orange and

black McLaren livery that's trying to
take second place. She dives down the

inside into turn two. But Palmoski on
the outside is trying to hold that

position in second place. Oh, no, they
make good time. Oh, no.

Palmoski's off. Bang.

And done.

Dorian Pan just managed to avoid it. Oh,
what a shame.

It does mean that Chloe Chambers has got
the lead of this race.

Now, was that contact between... I have
to have a look again whether she got a

helping hand from further behind.
Dorapan again, lucky, avoiding any major

damage. We will catch a replay. Emma
Falbermeyer battling with her teammate.

That was yesterday's race winner, but a
lightning start. And also, it promotes

Tina Housman. She started... Oh, and
also, we've got another collision.

Mattia, who's... Mattia Patz, the
wildcard entry, making contact. Oh, what

shame, that is, with Eva Anagnostiadis
at the back there.

just I don't think had anywhere to avoid
so now we've got a full safety car

that's no surprise because there's
damage around the track everyone will

back off slow down no overtaking settle
back down and then we can kind of work

out where everybody's gone as you say
Tina Houseman's done well but there is

Matilda Pats who is the wild card who
has had another incident, sadly, because

she had crashed. She'd done a good job
in the first race, but she crashed at

Wall of Champions.

This is a separate incident, obviously,
and we will get a look at a replay in a

moment. But this is going to take a few
minutes to get all the cars out of the

way. Look at the damage as well to over
Anagnostiades, the front end of that.

So Alicia is able to keep going.

Front wing damage, and I would expect
some front right damage to her Red Bull

Racing machine as well. Now, we will, of
course, get to... see it again but I

just wonder if it was just you know they
wanted to go for the same track space

or whether she got a little bit of a
helping hand from behind which pitched

into Ella Lloyd so let's have a look so
a great start you'll see from the

McLaren car what a launch from from Ella
Lloyd Dorian comes across to try and

cover her off Ella then braves it round
the outside so she'll then have the

inside line for turn two gets it stopped
nicely but Alicia is able to get down

on the throttle a little bit easier and
let's have a look Who moves across on

who? I think that looks like potentially
Alicia just moves slightly across into

the path of Ella Lloyd. It's going to be
the perfect view now.

And this, of course, what the stewards
were having a look. You see how

aggressively across Dorian came.

Then she thought, no, I'm going to try.
And the only hope for her was go down

the inside.

Ella, brave stuff.

Chloe, in the meantime, did everything
perfect from pole position.

Probably looking in the mirrors. Let's
have a little look.

I think that's just a racing incident,
actually looking at it on board. I did

say that maybe Alicia came across, but
it looked like they were both just going

straight and came together.

I'm not sure what happened there.

You can understand that, because
sometimes you touch the wheels, don't

a rival. I bet you've done this a few
times in single -seater races, and you

both get away with it, a little touch on
the wheels.

But this touch, it really was a slightly
heavier touch, and it flicked her

across, and Dorit, our Pam was lucky,
wasn't she? She was so lucky not to get

puncture, any real kind of damage.
Alicia's going to have to come in to

front wing change.

And then we're going to see the accident
slightly further back.

Oh, she lost it.

And that was unlucky for Ava. She had
nowhere to go whatsoever into the path

Matilda Spahn, into the path of Ava, and
that was that. But, yeah, I think

racing incidents, of course, it's going
to be investigated between Alicia and

Ella Lloyd.

But, yeah, I just think it was one of
those things.

It was one of those things. You're
absolutely right. And it is a tough one.

Chloe Chambers, who managed to make that
good start again, can she get her first

win of the season, of this season,
Chloe? We shall see whether she's able

She had one win last year. But despite
having three pole positions in a row in

F1 Academy this year, she's not been
able to take a victory. But Dorianne

she's lost out a little bit, but
thankfully still the car in good peace

it could so easily have been taken out
in that.

Kurt Lapp incident but she is there,
still likely to score points.

And, well, we'll just have to see how
far she can go. There is obviously a

little bit of analysis going into what
has happened, but we shall see if there

are any decisions made in that one
later.

One who really did benefit was Tina
Housman. She has started fifth on the

now in a podium -paying position, and if
it does stay like this, it'll be her

first podium in F1 Academy.

Of course, there's plenty of racing laps
left to go. You can see Alicia's

getting the front wing changed there by
Campos. Little struggle with the bolt on

the front left of that wing, which is
back underway as Susie Wolfe watches on.

mean, we've had some exciting races, two
races across the weekend so far, and

that's continued into this one.

Well, Alicia will join the back of the
crew again, of course, before the safety

car is released. So we'll give her a
chance to try and tick off some places.

By the way, Maya Verg is currently in
12th position. So Maya Verg, who was

leading the series when we first came
into Montreal, but has had such a

difficult weekend with technical issues
on the car. The Dutch racer, 21 years

old, now she has moved up to 12th place
in this race, having started down in...

So she made a few places, but she won't
be as far up as she would like. In a

way, the safety car will help her a
little bit more because she will be able

then go on the attack with a few more up
ahead of us. She's got Aurelia Nobles,

number 22, up ahead. There you are.
You're looking at Maya Berg there.

So can she get some points back this
weekend?

After such a difficult start, we'll keep
an eye on that. So the race today is

top ten, the perceived points. Yesterday
it was just top eight, so four points

for this race.

So she'll have to gain a couple of more
places. We're going to have an onboard

now from the Williams driver, Leah
Block, started in tenth place, hasn't

any places up.

So it all bunches up down into turn one.
She's got Rafael Pereira on her right

-hand side there. She's going to try and
go around the outside. Didn't quite...

Wasn't quite able to get the drive, at
least initially, and then she had to hit

the brakes, and that allowed... Is that
Alba Larson, it looks like, on the right

-hand side there? We'll wait to see. I'm
sure Alba's still there on the outside.

Yes, she is. Great car control from
Alba. So, Dorian Pan then.

We've already seen how...

Very fortunate she was not to get any
serious damage.

And we're going to see it again. Yeah,
and you'll see the movements between the

cars.

Yeah. I'm amazed that that didn't
actually damage her front wing.

It's incredible, isn't it? I mean, it
just shows the strength of these F1

Academy cars.

And you can see there how she was just
so... Look how they even chucked her

forward. Did it from Dorian Pan. And
then her two former teammates are going,

right, thank you very much. We'll move
on forward.

Let's have a little closer look on that
front wing. So it has indented the front

wing, but it's not going to have done...

Anything, actually, no, that was the
other side, wasn't it? And so it looks

right. She's escaped.

And then, of course, this was the second
incident.

Yeah, and that was where Matilda Patz
just lost it, unfortunately, out of the

corner. It would have been interesting
maybe to see the entry to that. I wonder

what happened on the entry. But it
basically was her mistake.

And for over Anagnostiades, who did
finish eighth in race one here in

No further investigation on that
incident with Lloyd and Pat Moskey. I'm

surprised because, as you said, it was
just a racing incident, really.

Correct decision from me, to be honest.

Yeah, yeah. Let's listen to some radio.

OK, Nina, so let's be smart and work
together to move forward.

Well, we've heard that message before
between the Prema drivers.

Flashbacks to, I'm pretty sure it was
Shanghai when we were in a similar

position with Nina Gaidman and Tina
Hausman. And then that radio message was

played across, wasn't it, at the start
of the race. Worked together and then

they came together. They did come
together. So Prema, I think,

like, no, no, actually, let's work
together this time. Because they're in a

strong position. They've got all of
their cars up in the top five.

Chloe Chambers in the red. The bull
forward is ran by Campos Racing.

Ella Lloyd in the McLaren, who we're
riding on board with, is road in

motorsport.

And then you've also got Chloe Chong,
road and motorsport in the Charlotte

Tilbury car, and Emma Feldwey,
yesterday's race winner in the

round by mode of road and motorsport as
well. That's a good point, especially

about Chloe Chong in sixth place,
because she had started on pole position

race two yesterday, ended up finishing
last in that race. And she's had a bit

a tough season this year in terms of
getting race finishes, but she's done a

decent job on this first lap, obviously
now under safety car. I wonder if she

can hold on to some useful points. if
she stays in that position. At the

she's behind Dorian Tan.

Let's listen in to Tan.

So, no penalty coming for Ella Lloyd?

Uh -huh.

20 -20.

I mean, we've already said I think it's
a racing incident, so I don't think

anyone should get a penalty in that
incident, but it's heat of the moment

You have a different point of view, then
you hop out of the car and you see...

Onboards from different point of view in
the outboard, and that can also change

your view. But just going back to Chloe
Chong, the team worked their socks off

to repair her car, which is actually
really badly damaged from that incident

race one with Rafaela Ferreira. And I
think they just ran out of time, from

I was told, to repair it properly.

So she really struggled for pace. As you
said, finished at the back of the field

from starting on pole position.

And she actually seems like... OK, now,
OK, there's been a couple of incidents.

She says she's moved up a couple of
spots.

But it seems to be a bit better than it
was yesterday. So fully repaired now.

Good. Well, that's the car you're
looking at, number 27 there. That's what

talking about. It's good to know that
they've repaired it. And there is

Patz getting a bit of a comfort from her
team. And they're feeling for her, of

course.

And it looks like she's feeling really
bad that she's damaged the car again at

the second time. But actually, she's
done a better job as a wildcard entry in

terms of pace and in race two than many
of the other wildcard entries this year.

And she is absolutely gutted because if
you do well as a wildcard entry, you

only get the one entry for that year.
But you may get the chance to get a full

season the following year. Well,
exactly. Look at Ella Lloyd, Nina

Alicia Palmofsky. They were wildcards
last year. their full -time seat this

year. And it's a lot of pressure for
these young drivers, whether it's F1

Academy, Formula 2, Formula 3, for that
matter.

There's a lot of eyes watching. You're
on the world stage.

You've got the world feed, the coverage
that's shown across numerous, numerous

countries. You've got the F1 teams
keeping an eye on you as well. Formula 1

whole looking at you, seeing how you're
getting on.

And it's tough.

And these drivers, of course, they all
want to win and everyone progresses at

different rates.

And if you haven't seen F1 The Academy
that's now streamed on Netflix, that

gives a real insight behind the scenes
of F1 Academy's season last year.

And a lot of the pressures that a lot of
these young drivers are facing.

So it's tough out there. And, you know,
these opportunities, they're only

allowed to race for two years in F1
Academy. And trust me, two years can go

pretty quickly. It can go very quickly.
And then you've got to continue your

career from whatever you do. If you get
that chance to do F1 Academy, it gives

you an amazing ability to race against
some very competitive racers, amazing

circuits like this. As you say, it puts
you under a lot of pressure as well.

and we'll see how it develops in the
future years as well as drivers come out

this fairly junior level, see how far up
they can go. As we mentioned, the 15th

of June being the anniversary of the
first ever woman to race in World

Championship Formula One. Will we see
that again? Well, this is an opportunity

to give women a chance to show what they
can do and let's hope that it can be

done in the future. Safety car lights
are still on at the moment. I thought we

might see...

but not yet, so they're still obviously
having to tidy up from that incident.

We're on lap six out of 17, but we will
still have plenty of racing time, and I

think we're still in for lots of action,
actually, because we shall see how this

goes. The drivers only got the one free
practice here before they went into

qualifying, and then for three races,
and the reason we have three races here

because the race in Miami got cancelled,
but they are now getting more and more

used to the track, and I was actually
quite impressed by that first corner.

that they all dealt with. There were no
major incidents apart from on the exit,

which was, I know. And they got a bit
carried away on the exit. But that was

just one of those things that can
happen. But there were no silly

the braking into turns one and two. So
it'll be interesting to see if that

happens again when the safety car
releases them. No, exactly that. And I'm

expecting that we're probably going to
have the safety car coming in.

At the end of this lap, the marshals, as
always, do a fantastic job and have

cleared up pretty much most of the
wreckages that were left on the side of

track. I actually thought it was coming
in the previous lap because Chloe

Chambers dropped quite far back from...

from the safety car so um but it is
there's information now safety car is

so the drivers can't do any weaving um
into the entry of turn

13 which is the phenomenal call on the
lap so they can all continue to weave

through here just exiting turn seven
where we saw that incident between pats

ava That's all cleared now. So you can
see big weaves, stamps on the brakes

all the drivers as they follow the
safety car around for this last time.

So it is Chloe Chambers who will have
the chance from that pole position that

she had and took such a great start.

The 20 -year -old American, now 21 -year
-old, of course. She turned 21

yesterday.

So she now has the chance to try and
make the break again from the top spot.

Chased by Ella Lloyd, who has finished
second in both races here this weekend.

Has had a win so far this year as well
and is very, very competitive. And then

in third place, Tina Hausman in the
Aston Martin -supported car from Framler

team. She's got her teammate Nina
Gaidman behind in the Alpine.

livery as well so it could go anywhere
here and we are getting ready for the

start so it's now up to chloe chambers
to decide when to go for it she's Just

taking it steady at the moment. When's
she going to go? Before the chicane or

during the chicane?

Probably during.

Now. Now. Floors it. Yeah, away she
goes.

So the race is back underway once again.

And Chloe Chambers makes the break or
tries to from Ella Lloyd in second

Tina Hausman in third. Then Nina Gaben
and Dorian Pan, the series leader, is on

the attack immediately.

But that was a good start by Chloe
Chambers. She's made a little bit of a

Yeah, she did. Perfect restart. Dorian
Pan getting very close to... To her

teammate Nina Gaben. She should have
that inside pretty much done. And she

She's going to take the shorter line.

And she's going to be later on the
break. So that's a place gained already

Dorian Pan. Next up is her teammate Tina
Hausman.

Who is currently in the top three
positions. For the first time during a

least. And let's have a little look.
Alicia Palmosky is caught at the back.

Emma Falbemar. You always know when
Emma's around this top eight. She's

be making moves forward. And she has
already up to. Yes, Emma Felbermayer,

won race two yesterday, has just managed
to knit through. She's in the Sauber

livery car, number five, got past Chloe
Chong, but right behind Alba Larsson.

Keep an eye on Alba Larsson again,
because she did such a good job

She started down in 12th on the grid for
this race, but she's already got

herself up into eighth place.

So she is now attacking Chloe Chong. As
meanwhile, look at this battle going on.

And Felbermayer on the outside. Oh, no,
she gets spun out. The winner from...

Yesterday gets spun out into the
hairpin. And that was a tricky

I don't think it's going to be safety
car. But look, Chloe Chambers, the race

leader, coming under pressure now from
Anna Lloyd.

She is. Big pressure. And then Tina
Housman, the same with Dorian Pan. And I

think that was just Nina.

Made a mistake at the previous chicane.
Tried to cover it and just locked up. So

we could see a penalty coming the way of
Nina Gaidman.

Abel Arsene then, even amongst that, has
lost the place. And Maya Verg making

her way further up.

And she's got a brilliant exit out of
the final corner.

Draws up alongside her teammate.

Is Tina going to be able to hang it
around the outside? Let's have a look if

she's still there. No, not able to do
it. But fastest lap.

On your left -hand side there, you can
see, is the McLaren driver, Ella Lloyd.

Two -tenths is the gap at the moment.

And look at how Palmoski's making
progress. She's got up to tenth place

having started... Oh, no, it's just
shown as eleventh. But she's made great

progress from the back, remember, after
the safety cars got going again. But up

front it is Chloe Chambers, who leads in
the Red Bull Ford supported machine

from Ella Lloyd.

And Chloe Chambers holding it at this
stage. But Dorianne Pan will now try and

catch them, having gone up into third
place. Yeah, Ella Lloyd doing a great

Coached by last year's champion, Abby
Pullings. Abby passing on plenty of her

advice that she took and she learned
from F1 Academy last year is putting

Chambers all under pressure.

She'll have known now and would have had
her taken a look in the mirror to see

Dorianne is back into third place.

And Maya Virg is now moving up the
order. She's now into eighth place.

Yeah, that's good from Maya Virg. She
started 15th on the grid.

We've seen her talent.

Throughout the course of this year,
she's had a really tough weekend, but

moving up the order.

Mayberg up into eighth place. Nina
Gaidman down to ninth now after that

down at the hairpin.

And Leah Block holding on to the final
point at the moment in tenth place.

Let's see how this goes, though, as Ella
Lloyd goes on the attack. Look how

close she is to the back, but she didn't
actually go for the move into the

chicane. She knows she's got plenty more
time. She's trying to put the pressure

on Chloe Chambers.

And there is, under investigation, that
hairpin that we saw a moment ago. We

will take another look at it shortly.

But Chloe Chambers under pressure. And
Dorianne Pan has now set the fastest lap

as she closes the gap to these two. So
this could become a three -way battle.

Ella Lloyd's now got a chance to go up
the inside. But no, Chambers shuts the

door just in time to be able to hold the
position as they come up into turns

three and four. And she's still there in
front.

She is. Chloe Chong is now up into fifth
place.

Alba Larsson sick. The Maverick
continuing to make her way forward.

her. Dorian Pan has really closed down.

I don't know where the pace has gone for
Chloe Chambers. She was so quick.

Qualified on pole by over three tenths
of a second in our qualifying on Friday.

But just lacking.

Leah Bloch having a scrap a little bit
further back.

She's currently in tenth place. Trying
to steal away at ninth place from

Ferreira. As they'll come down into the
heavy. braking zone oh contact contact

ferreira is spun oh and she gets hit
again this could be another safety car

i mean it's uh that was just leah
totally misjudging her braking smashing

the back and aurel nobles she just
doesn't seem to get any luck whatsoever

is a 10 second time penalty which uh we
were expecting to come along from uh

Nina Gaben and Lea Bloch's car is going
absolutely nowhere. That front left.

What a shame.

Oh, that's a shame. And we've got safety
car in the top three. Look how close

now Dorianne Pant was already. And the
safety car, of course, they'll all be

very close because they've all got to
queue back up together behind the safety

car. Oh, and as you say, for Aurelia
Nobels, I really feel for her because

has happened several times throughout
the course of the year where she's not

done something wrong, but she always
gets caught up by it.

Let's have a look at this latest
incident here.

So that's just Leah totally misjudging
the braking. And for Nobles,

she's just going to think, when's my
luck going to change?

She obviously got caught up with an
incident that wasn't really her fault

yesterday with Maya.

And yeah, it was just too late on the
brakes from the Williams driver, Leah

Block. And spun round.

Raffaele, here we go, on board.

She probably thought about going down
the inside. She thought, no, maybe she

thinking I'm going to try and sell the
dummy here.

No, she didn't. She just... She just
braked into me.

She ran me into the wall.

I don't believe she did that. I don't
think that. I know she's done a lot of

rally driving, and we were talking about
that, but she's not done a lot of

circuit racing. I was looking at that.
Ferreira had the position to take. She

had the right to take the line that she
took.

This was the earlier incident, wasn't
it? Yeah, absolutely.

Nina Gaidman hitting. She squeezed me
all the way to the inside.

I mean, yeah, I don't think that move
was ever going to be on.

Nina had to take to the grass before
that.

Well,

yes, we haven't seen a penalty yet, I
don't think, but that was another look

that incident at the hairpin. I do feel
for Emma Felbermeyer, who won yesterday,

but got spun out there.

And, oh, that was... That was Noble's.
Yeah. And a wing mirror as well, you can

see, flew off down the straight.

That was after she'd had the incident,
wasn't it?

She's having a tough time at the moment.
She'll obviously have to come into the

pits. She's currently still in there.
She hasn't left at the moment yet. She's

out of the car, visibly upset, and has
every right to be.

Yeah, it's been tough.

So Nina Gaidman has had a penalty for
that collision, we gather. So Nina

Gaidman, yeah, has been given a penalty,
10 -second time penalty, in fact,

for... the collision. Gaidman is
currently running in eighth place, but

the 10th second penalty to that.

Obviously, that will depend on how they
cross the line at the chequered flag.

Right now, they will be close together
behind the safety car, but there's no

doubt that Gaidman is going to be
dropping back. So, what does this mean

Maia Verg? It means that the number 64
car, the Ferrari machine there that

you're looking at, up into seventh
place.

And this is a good opportunity, in a
way, all these safety car periods will

her, because what it does is it puts the
crew close together, whereas when they

get all spaced out, you might get one or
two extra places, but it's very hard to

catch the leaders.

When you've got this opportunity, she
may be able to move up even further. And

we are getting towards the safety car
ending at the end of this lap.

Yeah, and we're still on lap 12 of 17.

And more exciting racing left to come,
especially Dorian is looking so hungry,

isn't she? She's got the pace, fastest
lap of the race. She'll get the extra

point for that, two points for that as
well.

Finish the race because we now have a 10
-second penalty for causing a

collision.

I understand, but this is a serious
decision, so we just need to push to try

catch up as much as we can.

I'd say the engineer does a good job on
that.

Just focus on what you've got to do now.
Don't worry about that now. Just get on

with it.

And so Nina Gaidman, who's now behind
Maya Verg, so it'll be tough for her to

beat Maya Verg, I would think, because
Verg is now showing the sort of pace we

tend to see throughout the course of the
year. But let's just see how Chloe

Chambers does this restart. Will she do
it differently this time? Well, that's a

good question, and we're about to find
out. Ella Lloyd will never know what to

expect because you're not in the mind
of... the other driver but you need to

prepared and you can see that the lead
car will continue to weave just trying

build that last moment of temperature
and you can hear from Ella she's just

trying to find the right gear stopping
weaving so you're ready waiting to

and she's gone at a very similar time
and it's a good restart from Chloe

Chainsworth but Ella Lloyd looked like
she got a good one as well I think she

was ready for that this time a little
bit more. So she is actually a little

closer. Not quite close enough to
attack.

Down into turn one.

Dorian Pan is behind. And Larson making
a move up the inside.

Trying to. And now go around the outside
of Chloe Chong. But actually, she's now

under pressure from Maya Verg.

So Maya Verg is now trying to make the
progress up the inside as they come up

towards turn three.

And Maya Verg might be able to. Oh, did
they touch? There was a slight contact

there. But Verg has got through.

And Alva Larsson had to correct. Hold
it.

We'll have another look at that in a
moment, but that has cost Alba last

places. Look at Palmoski. She's managing
to come even further up the order now.

Yes, so these safety cars have allowed
Alicia to catch up. She's all the way on

the back of Nina Gaidman now, who does,
remember, have that 10 -second time

penalty. Nina chops across to close the
door to stop any opportunity for Alicia

Palmoski, at least for the moment, as
they head now down into Turn 8 and 9,

of the many chicanes that we have on
this fantastic Montreal circuit.

And they'll swoop through under the
trees into turn 10, which has had many

incidents in the years in plenty of
categories. And still under

Leah Block and Rafaela Ferreira. That
incident, but down the inside, do not

an opportunity to Alba Larsson because
she is certainly going to take it.

Yeah, and still side by side with Nina
Gaetman. This is going to have to be

decided, I think, when they come down to
the final chicane, whether they can

keep it clean.

Alicia Palmosky is up ahead. of them,
but of course they're getting a tow.

is the area of the circuit where you get
a bit of a tow.

The slipstream helps, but Alba Larson
just tucks back in, and so she is in

of Gaben. She's in eighth place now, but
Maya Verg up into sixth place. Well

done to Maya Verg from 15th on the grid.
Now up into sixth place. She will now

be chasing after Chloe Chong and Alba
Larson. As you say, she never gives up.

She's going to have another go here. She
constantly is battling to try and move

her way forward.

Emma Felbermeyer dropped to the back of
the field as well with that incident

with Nina Gaiman. She's already up into
12th. So let's have a little look at

this contact between Meyer and Elmer. I
mean, again, I think that's just going

to be put down as a racing instance, but
we shall see.

Elmer tried to hang it around the
outside.

Maia was pinched on the inside, so we'll
keep an up -to -date with that. But

what a drive from Maia Berg. She's
nearly gained 10 places. If she gets to

Chong, that will be 10 places.

And considering that her only real
running was in the race yesterday, she

really done any laps over the weekend at
all. Oh, no!

Another big spin, and it's Courtney
Crone who goes off in the house -packed.

ART GP car. I know that's a great shame
for Courtney Crowe. And I didn't quite

see, who did she make contact with? It
looked like Emma Falbermar. I was

actually looking at the timing screen,
believe it or not. But let's see if she

can get it going or whether that right
rear has too much damage.

Let's have a look. You're right, because
we're on board with Emma Felber -Meyer,

and that is Courtney Crone just up
ahead. So is it all under braking here?

that was a bit tricky, because where was
she going?

Well, I think this is similar to the
Lear Block incident.

Emma's going to say she moved under
braking.

Safety car is out for the third time,
which is going to hamper any progress

Maya Vogue and Alicia Palmofsky and
Larson as well.

Chloe Chambers might have a third time
to be tested on her safety car restart.

But we'll wait and see. This should be
fairly quick.

because the tractor, you can just see in
the background there, will whiz out

once these cars have gone past, remove
the car, but it's going to look tight.

Well, we only have about a minute left
of the actual race distance as well, so

I'm not sure we are going to get the
race restarted. Let's just keep an eye

it and see what happens here. Just
looking back at that incident, it's

that junior drivers have to learn, that
when you're going into a corner and

you're racing against someone else, you
must make a fairly clear decision where

you're going at that last moment and try
not to...

Try not to change it too many times
because that will just lead to an

won't it? It will. And it's also a
variety of experiences on a driver

on the grid here. So Emma obviously has
been qualifying.

You know, she won the race yesterday.
She's been colouring slightly further

Courtney Crohn's struggled a little bit

It's either 17 laps or 30 minutes,
whatever comes first, and we only have

12, 11, and now 10 seconds remaining of
the race.

So it looks as though the race is going
to finish in this order, we shall see. I

don't think they're going to go racing
once again, and what this will mean, of

course, if it... happens like this is
that Chloe Chambers will take her first

win of the 2025 season.

She won one race.

towards the end of last year, but now
she has this chance to take her first

victory of this year, having qualified
so well on a number of occasions.

And there, Sarah Nurse, a professional
ice hockey player in Canada, she's

getting ready to give the chequered flag
when she's been given that word.

They will be going over the line this
time. I think it will be... Plus one

Yeah, when they come around the next
lap. That's when the chequered flag will

coming out, but it will not be racing,
so you can...

And basically, this is the result, as
long as the car doesn't break down on

lap. But, yeah, it's looking good for
Chloe Chambers, isn't it? And she does

deserve this. She's shown great pace
throughout the course of the year,

qualifying very, very impressive. The
races haven't quite gone to plan, but

one has.

It certainly has, and we've got personal
best results out there as well for

Chloe Chong, Tina Hausman as well.

Maya Virg's done a great job from
building. Well, she couldn't have done

anything differently, really. We know
how far she is coming up through the

Alicia, a great recovery, too, after
that incident with that contact with

Lloyd that spun her out on the first
lap. But Chloe Chambers, believe it or

she's had three pole positions, but not
on a race.

That's all about to change. It is. And
remember, it was her 21st birthday

yesterday. She couldn't quite celebrate
her results yesterday in the same way,

but she is going to be able to
celebrate.

Tonight, there's no doubt about it. That
was very, very impressive.

And they've just got to complete this
lap. They'll get the chequered flag at

end of it. They will not be racing
against each other. And, yes, it's a

disappointing that this race has
finished under the safety car because,

actually, I was really looking forward
to those last few laps and wondering how

much further, if at all, Maya Verg might
be able to go.

She's there behind Chloe Chong.

Chloe's done a good job in this race. I
must admit, she's raced better in this

one than we've seen for a little while
from her. It's good.

But it would have been a lot of pressure
from Meyerberg behind.

But that hasn't happened, of course,
because we've gone back to safety car

again. Remember, it's the top ten that
will all score points in this major race

because they started the race as they
qualified. So they score points in the

same way as in Formula One. So 25 points
for the win, 18 points for second, etc.

And for Dorianne Pan, who will get yet
another podium, again, it effectively

increases her lead.

And it will mean that, although Chambers
will now move into a clear second place

ahead of Maya Berg in the series.

And she will gain a little bit,
actually, on Dorian Pan because she will

winning. And the checkered flag will be
coming out as they come over the line.

It's nice and slow, but they can still
enjoy it because there you go.

The checkered flag's out. Chloe Chambers
takes victory in race three in

Montreal, her first win of 2025.

Ella Lloyd, three second places in all
three races. That's fantastic in terms

her championship challenge.

And third place to the series leader,
Dorianne Pan.

She'll be happy with that, scoring
consistently, having taken a win this

weekend. Tina Hausman in fourth place.
Chloe Chong at last getting a good

in fifth place. And Maya Verg coming all
the way from 15th to finish in sixth.

What a chaotic weekend.

Her team as well, for the Prema team,
that will certainly help because they

leading the team series now, having
moved ahead of Campos with the previous

races we've already had this weekend. So
for the Prema team, this is working

well with that classic lap as well for
Dorianne Panty today. It's been a very,

very good weekend for her.

But for Chloe Chambers, I'm really
pleased for her that she's taken a win.

almost needed this kind of result to
give her that confidence going forward

the rest of the series.

That's absolutely true. Dorian Pan has
scored very good points and has a

comfortable lead in the series.

There are still three more events to go
in F1 Academy in this 2025 season.

They've got quite a big gap, actually,
until they race again. They won't be

racing until the end of August in
Zandvoort. And then there are two other

events, of course, supporting Formula
One in Singapore and the finale in

November in Las Vegas. But with three
more events, two races at every event,

unless you get... a race cancelled like
we did in Miami. So that's why we've

ended up with three races this time,
simply because there was only one race

Miami. But generally, it's two races per
weekend, one reverse grid, one with the

grid as they qualify.

And for the lead now that Dorianne Pan
has in the championship, it's going to

pretty tough for anybody else. But Chloe
Chambers will be her nearest rival.

She's just had her first win. And Maya
Verg, who showed she's still got that

performance, that pace. Who knows? If
Dorianne Pan has an incident

then suddenly things could change later
in the season. Yeah, we've seen so many

times how quickly point standing can
change in any series. And it's so

close between these drivers in F1
Academy that anything can happen. And

Zandvoort is the next time out for these
drivers as Chloe stands aloft to Red

Bull Ford.

Fist pump and clap from the Campos and
I'm sure Red Bull staff down there as

well. But Zandvoort is a track that
pretty much every single one of these

drivers has been to. They're at least
going to get an opportunity to go to as

well. There is going to be a pre -race
test next month, I believe, for the

drivers to get reacquainted with
Zandvoort and their cars.

Yeah. Absolutely.

The light time. It really is a very
happy time for Chloe Chambers, no doubt

about it.

She's the American who was born in China
near Macau, actually, originally as a

kid, but has grown up in the United
States. So for her to have her win in

Canada, that's a rather lovely move. She
didn't have the great weekend in Miami

that she perhaps would have liked. She
was on pole for the second race that

never happened, of course, in Miami.

Ella Lloyd, big. mile for Ella Lloyd
because with three second places

of course a reverse grid race that was
superb from her this weekend really

impressive and she has had one victory
already this year so she is definitely a

potential contender depending how things
go for the rest of the season but well

done to Ella Lloyd the McLaren Group as
well will be very happy about that, very

supportive. With Dorianne Pan in the
number 28 car, they're showing yet

podium finish and very much controlling
the championship lead at this stage.

Wonderful stuff.

She said on the radio, making sure that
said that on the radio, should I say

that she scored good points. And that's
certainly what she needs. She poses for

a photo alongside the P3 board being
whisked away.

I know that it's been somewhat of a

frustrating weekend. You've had the pace
all weekend, but it just hasn't come

together until this moment right now. So
just talk to us about your feelings

after this victory.

Yeah, I mean, definitely.

expected a lot more out of the weekend
after having so much pace throughout

qualifying and practice and the two
races even and so I mean happy to get

win of course a bit of a weird race a
lot of safety cars but I'm confident

I would have won the race either way
today the pace this weekend has just

so good I just have to thank the team
for all that.

There's definitely a lot of positives to
take out of this weekend. There's

obviously a big break right now until
the next race in Zandvoort. So what is

your plan for the downtime, and how do
you come back better and stronger and

collect more victories in the future?

I mean, plan for the break, I guess,
keep on driving, keep testing where I

working hard at home, of course, as
well.

But, I mean, it seems like a long break,
but we have plenty of work to do in the

downtime. Fantastic. Well, I know you
have some of your family here, so I'm

going to let you go celebrate, as you
well deserve. Thank you. Congrats.

Well, great to hear from Chloe Chambers,
who has now moved up into second place

in the championship.

So Dorianne Pan is the championship lead
on 109 points. Chloe Chambers on 89. So

the gap actually at 20 points with three
more events and six races in total

still to go.

It's good for Dorianne, but it's
certainly not guaranteed that she is

be the title winner because Chloe
Chambers has shown great pace if she can

that up. Maverick has dropped from
leading the series before they came to

Canada. to drop to third place.

Ella Lloyd is currently in fourth

And we're just looking at some of the

I saw that on the screen.

Quite a quiet little view of what was
going on in that race. It's funny how

sometimes drivers, when they've come
out, they chat to each other a lot.

it's a little quieter, isn't it?

It is.

It is a little bit quieter. It's been a
busy, long weekend for the drivers, who

I'm sure most will be travelling back to
their home destinations.

And some of them are racing, of course,
in other categories throughout the year

because F1 Academy is nothing like
Formula One in terms of the number of

you do over the course of the year. So,
as we know, Ella Lloyd is racing in

British junior single -seater racing as
well, other than in other forms of

single -seater racing before they come
back into F1 Academy at the end of

August. Yes, exactly that, Ben. And
there's not limited to just sticking to

racing in F1 Academy. They're free to
go.

Raced in other categories. So Dorian
Pan, for example, is racing in the

Regional Championship. Yes, I saw that.
You've got Ella Lloyd. You've mentioned

racing in British F4.

And Elba Felbermeyer is also racing in
the Spanish Championship.

Abelas has been doing a little bit in
British F4 as well. So I think bumming

seat time is what these drivers really
need to learn as much as they possibly

can.

Well, let's take a look at the full
result here for race three in Montreal.

Chloe Chambers taking the victory, fully
earned her first win of the season.

Ella Lloyd in second place, consistent
podium finishes. And Dorianne Pan in

third place, just being sensible,
staying out of trouble, scoring more

Tina Housman in fourth. Chloe Chong in
excellent fifth place. Maya Verg from

15th. up to 6.

Alicia Palmowski from the back after an
incident earlier on finished 7th. Alba

Larson in 8th. Joanne Cicconti 9th. And
Emma Felbermayer getting the final point

in 10th. Nicole Havreder finished 11th
ahead of Rafaela Ferreira. And Nina

Gaidman in 13th. And I'm afraid we saw a
lot of incidents.

A little too many incidents and a lot of
non -finishes as well, and a little too

many safety cars. It's strange,
actually, this Montreal circuit, the

first ever saw safety cars in Formula 1
in the early 1970s, and in recent years

in Formula 1 as well, we do see the
safety car here very often because

not much room to go off here. If you go
off, you're going to do damage, and

we've seen that a number of times with
the F1 Academy cars. But let's enjoy the

podium now. So Dorian Pat is back on the
podium.

Yet again, having had such a successful
time, that one victory here this

weekend. Another podium finish. Just
keep scoring points. That's what she

to do. And she is leading that category
by 20 points at the moment.

Ella Lloyd, though, has done really well
this weekend. She's moved up into

fourth place. And she is only five
points behind Maya Verg in the

as it stands right now. But our race
winner...

Now has moved up to second.

20 points behind Dorianne Pan.

But definitely in with a shout. Having
taken her first winner this year.

She has a shout. And going for the title
later in the season. Let's celebrate

her win.

Chloe Chamberlain is celebrating a
fantastic performance here today and

-deserved, taking the trophy. Ella Lloyd
in second place with a big smile, quite

rightly too, and Dorian Pan in third
position.

And leading the series with this gap
now, this quite long summer gap before

come back into racing at Zandvoort at
the end of August.

Time to really celebrate for them. It's
been a busy weekend.

Three races here in Montreal.

Lots of action, lots of safety cars.

And Chloe Chambers can have a big smile
on her face having celebrated her 21st

birthday yesterday. And now...

Her first win of this 2025 season, her
second ever win in F1 Academy.

No, great racing that we've seen all
weekend.

And could this be the catalyst for Chloe
Chambers to then string on some more

great results? Of course, pole position
for the last three race weekends.

But Dorian Pan, she will still be full
of confidence after this weekend, and

certainly so will Ella Lloyd.

She will, yes. Ella Lloyd's been,
especially as Ella Lloyd is in her first

season, where, of course, Dorianne Pan's
in her second full season of F1

Academy. I think Ella Lloyd is boosting
her confidence now, so she could easily

be a big threat as well. Well, it has
been very entertaining watching all of

these races in Montreal.
