Well, her unit and Ross's

We checked.

So she must have smelled
the gasoline, got mixed up.

But they don't smell the same.

The fire destroyed any prints
on the murder weapon,

but you can still see the brand

etched on the blade.
It's an archaeologist's trowel.

Don't know yet
whether it belonged

to the victim or the killer,

but we're
canvassing suppliers,

the person who bought it.

Most of the wear

is on the right edge

of the blade,

It was shut down in 1982

the garbage our vic dug up

came from somewhere
right around this block.

exact spot he was working,

so they cut their losses,
dropped the release

and hauled every last copy
to a landfill.

So this is what Eddie Ross
was digging for?

not to release

is so colossally bad

it has to bury
the whole inventory,
