This is no good, either…

If I overdo it, the circlet won't be useable…

I never thought I'd be playing the role of a hacker.

The Princess Cup Tournament Finally Enters the Semifinals St. Union Academy Steadily Advances

With the revival of their circlet bout club,

St. Union Academy surprises everyone, as they continue to advance.

The driving force behind their team, appears to be a 1st year student, Yuka Sasaki.

With that bursting popularity over social networks,

her unbelievable reaction time has led fans to deem her the, "Overclock Princess",

A brand new face steers their advance

The veteran school's revival! St. Union Academy

Another Victory, Yuka Sasaki continues her consecutive wins!

as she quickly becomes the center of attention.

There's no mistake that Yuka's secret lies within her reaction time…

But where that comes from is the real question.

A circlet specializing in training, which is also equipped with offline practice functions.

It doesn't display any status data,

and it's running an AI using outdated voice functions…

She's not wearing Siegfried…

Oh, you mean this? A perver-

No, wait!

I received it from a strange person!

A strange person…

She received it…

But, who gave it to her?

Amongst this boundless silence,

You'd even hear a flower bloom

It's all or nothing now

I've got to guess the next move

If fate has started to turn,

Then I'll also need to push forward

Right now, I love

The passion you've given me to improve and aim higher

Along with our sealed vow from the past

I want to connect them, with a smile

Riding this rhythm of excitement

I'll break the 1-second barrier

Ordinary old tactics will no longer cut it

Changing with each new day

Embarking on this new journey

Can you hear the pulse?

Now, let's go even further beyond.

St. Union

Student Council Room Currently in meeting

I see, so you're aiming to operate independently.

We're truly grateful for the ongoing support Takamori Academy has provided.

Thank you, Captain Sugiura.

No, my only wish was to battle against a powerful Union once again.

However, this revival happened faster than I expected.

Sasaki-kun.

Yuka!

Oh, Y-Yes!

Thanks to you, Union's academy force has really shot up,

Overclock Princess.

O-Order Korokke Pudding?

Overclock Princess.

What?

You haven't heard about it?

They're calling you that all over the internet.

What!? I'm an order korokke pudding?

We just said it's not that!

Now, now…

I believe it's only a matter of time before you're all the center of attention.

All of us?

A former track elite, and one of the fastest players in high school circlet bout,

Miyuki Kasahara.

O-Oh, please…

Wielding near identical swordsmanship to Ayana Kuroda,

with the ability to achieve even greater heights, Reina Kuroda.

You're going too far!

The surprise newcomer that won with a gun, one of the most difficult weapons to handle,

Nina Averin.

Yeah!

And lastly, I presume you're Union's trump card?

No, I only provide support. I won't participate in games.

That's unfortunate to hear…

In any case, your team's potential is beyond expectations!

Let's meet again during the semifinals.

We're looking forward to it, Sugiura-san!

The semifinals!

Which means I'll get to face Chikage-san next!

Umm… When they come from the right, I intercept from below?

Then I need to counter…

Wait, hold on, should I swing like that, G-kun?

Enough already! Try thinking for yourself a bit!

But! I only managed to make it this far, thanks to your advice!

You fool!

I gave you advice so you could learn to win on your own!

But, but!

Ouch!

Focus on the match!

Rather, if you want to know something, consult me!

Oh… That's right!

Um, what are your hobbies?

Tea and flower arran-

Wait, why are you asking me about that!

What!?

I asked because you said I could!

Yuka is pretty fired up.

Idiot!

Well, if we beat Takamori, we'll face Kurojishi next.

Isn't it fine if I ask you anything!?

I was referring to your questions towards G-kun earlier.

Those two years of effort will have finally paid off.

Oh… you meant that.

It's obvious that she'd be excited about this.

I see…

Before she came here, she spent the last two years practicing offline, right?

Yeah, when she barely even knew the rules of circlet bout.

Now that I think about it, we really don't know much about Yuka…

It's not just Yuka, we're clueless about her circlet, as well…

Okay, so… When they come from the left, I swing from behind?

Who gave you that circlet, Yuka…

That'll make things more difficult!

What!?

It's not just limited to Yuka, right?

We've all met recently, and much time hasn't passed.

I mean, even with Nina.

I like cola.

We know that…

I like games, more or less.

More or less?

Somewhat.

Somewhat!?

See, wasn't that new?

Guess you're right…

Okay!

In order to clear the upcoming semifinals,

let's train to improve our teamwork!

What sort of training?

We're all going out!

Wow!

Race to the top, St. Union Academy!

Good luck in the championships! Yuka-chan!

That's right, you don't leave the dorm often, so you haven't seen all this.

Well, isn't it crazy?

It's amazing, I can't believe it!

Overclock manju.

Overclock Manju

What!? No way!

Oh, it's Union!

I'm rooting for you! Feel free to take this!

Please take ours, as well!

Please try some!

Thank you.

P-Please take these!

Y-Yeah…

Overclock

We ended up receiving a bunch.

We really did, I'd love to repay them with a victory…

It's hot!

Here, drink this!

This is carbonated!

Oh, you can't handle carbonated drinks?

What is this?

Xiaolongbao.

What?

480kcal / Protein 15.3g / fat 25.3 Carbohydrates 34.2g / Sodium 900mg

Oh, you're right.

Product Name - Xiaolongbao

Ingredients - Pork, Vegetables (Onion, Ginger), Gelatin, Sugar, Eggs, Soy Sauce, Table Salt, Spices, Wrapping (Flour, Lard, Table Salt), Starch, Seasoning

Nutrition Facts: 1 Per Box (Approx. 200g)

480 kcal.

What!?

480 kcal.

Which means, with all of this…

Don't worry.

Huh?

You'll be fine if you work off the amount you eat.

Okay, I'll eat some, too!

That's not very convincing coming from Nina…

Yeah…

Looks great on you, Yuka!

Furthermore, this is our latest outfit.

Oh!

You look wonderful.

Does it fit me?

What is this!?

Tanuki!

Hey, Nina!

Why did you pick a tanuki!?

Tanuki…

I'm asking why!

Excuse me, Miss… Could you please refrain from adjusting anything!

Tanuki!

Okay, next…

What? It's not fair that you get to sing again!

Hey, shut it!

Didn't you just power through three songs!?

But, but!

Number 23! The Ruler of the Universe, great Miyuki!

Number 24! Grassland Beauty!

Lovely Yuka-cha-

What!?

I'm singing!

What are you saying, that's not fair!

Hey, let go!

I'm going up next!

Then, how about this!

Okay, the stage is yours!

M-Me?

Captain's orders! Hurry up, it's starting!

Ah… Well, umm…

Guiding this sea of words,

with a steady swing…

I recall that gaze that felt embedded in time...

Despite these powerful emotions,

they're unable to reach…

Yuka! Sing with me!

I can't help but let out a sigh…

Oh, okay!

The one thing I'm truly certain of,

is my love for this dazzling world…

I want to keep fighting!

Yeah!

Tightening this grasp,

I'll confront the depths of solitude.

Continuing to change, ever so slightly,

I'll reach that desired view.

Those overflowing feelings are enough to make anything resound.

That earnest will and passionate warmth,

continues to move my heart...

Deepening this bond!

Yay!

This is definitely the most relaxing spot.

It really is…

I'll admit, this was a great escape before our match…

My total is 2,000 kcal.

A-Aren't you eating too much…

Actually, I've been wondering about this for a while...

What is that?

Circlet bout.

What?

MR is a byproduct of the circlet bout system.

Wow, that's amazing!

Race to the top, St. Union Academy!

Including that…

And that.

As well as that!

Without circlet bout, MR wouldn't have this much influence.

That reminds me, why did you decide to join this club?

I was interested in the concept of circlet bout.

Really, so that's why?

You didn't know either, Miyuki-chan?

Yeah.

Hey, come on, fill us in a little more!

It'll be long.

Aren't we in the middle of teamwork training?

Everyone wants to learn more about you.

Okay…

To begin, when discussing the initial goal circlet bout aims to achieve…

That lies within the progressing evolution of MR technology.

Essentially, further developing one's possibilities.

On the other hand, factors pertaining to MR space rendering, and reproducing sensations,

are essential elements that have yet to be officially revealed…

Okay, hold on!

Y-You're really getting into a big one…

I told you it would be long.

I-I think it's wonderful to research a field you're fascinated by!

Fascinated…

I'm willing to do anything to learn more about circlet bout.

S-Sorry, I couldn't follow any of that…

That phrasing makes it sound like you'd even become a spy…

Ayumu would never do something like that!

Yeah, that's true!

Wow!

Isn't she stunning?

However, this princess isn't just about looks.

She's unbelievably strong.

Really…

Dad, can you make a white dress for me, too!

How about making one on your own?

I'll teach you everything.

What, on my own?

Yep, I'm sure you'll love it.

Watching, and actually trying, are on different levels.

But, I can't do things like you…

Don't say you can't, just work until you can.

My body is aching…

It's been a while since I've had a dream about dad…

I need to organize the Takamori research data.

Oh, Ayumu-chan?

You're practicing this early in the morning?

I sort of woke up early.

G-kun is still asleep, though.

Cut it out…

Don't you dare cover me in that umeboshi color…

Why is a AI sleeping…

This morning air feels wonderful!

Hey, Yuka.

Before you came to Union,

have you ever met the person that gave you your circlet?

No, I haven't…

I see…

But, they said I'd be reunited with Chikage-san if I had this.

That's why I trusted those words, and continued to practice.

I'm surprised you believed them so easily.

Huh?

I'd toss that thing the moment I received it!

It's way too suspicious!

What, really!?

Why are you getting scared of it now?

I guess you're right.

If… I was able to turn back time,

I still think I'd choose to accept this circlet.

I want to stand on the same stage as her again.

I'm willing to do anything to make that happen!

Yuka…

It's the same as you, willing to do anything to learn about circlet bout!

What, me?

For that…

I'm hungry, but something like that!

Let's wake Nina up, and have breakfast!

Willing to do anything…

If that's really true,

There's still something I haven't done…

Yuka.

Yes?

Battle against me.

What?

Do svidaniya…

What are you thinking!?

I mean, I get it…

My stress levels would be through the roof if she made me eat those umeboshi everyday…

But that doesn't mean-

Yuka said she's willing to do anything.

What?

That's why I'll do anything, as well.

Ayumu…

Is it possible for us to fight in place of you?

I won't be able to gather data that way.

Move.

Yuka is waiting.

Are you really sure about this?

Feel free to start.

I've continued to research circlet bout this entire time…

However, I've never obtained the information I truly desired.

But that circlet may be the one and only clue,

linking to my father…

Ayumu-chan, you can't attack with a shield…

You should probably worry about yourself.

Huh?

Using this weapon…

is cheating.

I knew it!

You won't get away!

What in the world is that!?

She rewrote her weapon data!

That's unfair!

This isn't fair, Ayumu-chan!

It's an obvious handicap!

Now!

Watch out!

Just like I thought, she's two clocks over normal…

No, she's reacting three clocks faster!

An ordinary circlet shouldn't be capable of those movements!

However…

I'm not 100% certain yet!

I'll settle this right now!

What!?

G-kun!

Yuka!

Hey!

Father…!

What?

Hold it, are you aware of where you're standing?

In front of Kurojishi's waiting room.

Aren't you from Union!?

I'm astonished you came here, despite knowing that!

We've been awaiting your arrival.

This way, if you will.

Thanks.

It's been a while, Ayumu.

Hey.

I see you're doing well.

You too.

It's unusual for you to visit.

There's something I need to ask you.

If you're referring to him, even I'm unaware.

No, it's not about that.

I came to ask you about Yuka Sasaki.

Chikage, tell me everything that occurred in this convention center two years ago.

About the overheating factor.

This wasn't my best, but I really thought

I tried the hardest this season

At this point, I can't envision it…

Or so I assumed,

But I may have stumbled onto the path towards my dream

"Past you"

Did you feel like this?

"Like you"

I'll never stop pushing forward, at full throttle!

Hey, I'd love to be your rival

As the light illuminates this stage

I'll strive to be the biggest star I possibly can

In this moment, I'll give it everything I've got

To someday, gleam stronger than a rainbow

Towards my goal!

That's why I told you!

You brought this upon yourself,

now you're facing a crisis!

You really think you'll make it to the top like this, Yuka!

Hey, are you listening to me, Yuka?

Next time, Episode 8 "Revenge Match".
