[Fated Hearts]

[Episode 5]

Who in the royal family

hasn't endured grievances?

I know.

This is my responsibility.

Born into the royal family,

everyone has their

own responsibilities to fulfill.

But I just want to live for myself once,

even if it's only once.

Brother!

Brother!

Slow down.

You're running so fast.

If the governess sees you, she'll scold you again.

Brother, why did you

suddenly come to the palace today?

Did you come specifically to see me?

You seem troubled, Brother.

I have something to tell you.

I don't want you

to hear it from someone else.

What is it?

Jinxiu has sent a letter proposing a marriage alliance,

seeking to form such an alliance with our Susha.

I'm here just to ease your worries.

Don't worry.

I will never

let you marry into Jinxiu,

to Xia Jingshi.

The Prince of Zhennan

and I are mortal foes.

You're my sister.

If you fell into his hands,

you'd be doomed beyond salvation.

I didn't argue with Father

in the imperial court today.

But I will definitely find a way.

No matter

what price I have to pay,

even if it costs me my life,

I will absolutely

prevent this from happening.

Brother, no.

-Actually, I... -Don't be afraid, Xiyang.

I was just joking!

I've got a knack for surviving.

Anyway,

no matter what anyone tells you,

don't take it to heart.

If anyone tries to persuade you,

tell them to come to me.

Remember,

as long as I'm here,

even Father

cannot force you.

Your Majesty,

are you really planning to marry Princess Xiyang

into Jinxiu?

In the First Prince's heart,

Princess Xiyang

is probably the only family he has

in this world.

The only family...

Your Majesty, forgive me!

Even you think he feels nothing for me

but hatred?

If that's the case,

he must hold onto that hatred forever.

Hatred keeps people resolute;

it hones away the weakness in one's character.

Is this really necessary, Your Majesty?

He must overcome this obstacle.

Only then will he be deemed qualified.

[Wutong Mansion]

Your pulse is steady, nothing unusual.

Strange.

You were fine just now.

Why did you suddenly pass out?

I think it must be the lingering aftereffect

from hitting my head.

It's nothing serious.

Young Mistress Ling.

There's something I'd like to entrust to you.

Go ahead.

Take those kids away

immediately.

But they're determined

to be acknowledged by you.

I don't think they'll listen to me.

Whether they listen to you or not,

you must find a way

to take them away.

First off,

I can't remember who they are right now.

And even if they

truly are my disciples,

I am now in enemy territory,

struggling to save myself.

If they stay here,

there's no way they'll survive.

Do you understand?

They came from

Pingling City in Jinxiu.

Should I send them back to Jinxiu,

or take them to Zhengnian Villa

and keep them with me?

As long as it's safe, it'll be fine.

Feng Suige isn't at the mansion today.

Take them and leave quickly.

Now?

Yes,

leave now.

Then I'll have Eleven

take them back,

and I'll stay here with you.

No.

All right.

[The Yujing City Streets, Susha Kingdom]

Come.

Come, Shunzi.

Xueying.

Aren't we supposed to go

buy medicinal herbs for Master?

Yes,

but there are too many herbs.

We'll need a carriage to carry them.

Be good.

Get in the carriage.

Come.

My Lady.

Master.

Don't abandon me.

I'll be good.

Master.

Don't abandon me.

-I'll be good. -Nine.

Don't worry.

Master won't abandon us.

Don't worry.

But Master has forgotten us.

Will she really...

abandon us for good?

Where should we go?

We have no home anymore.

No.

Master won't abandon us.

She won't.

I haven't forgotten you,

and I would never abandon you.

Yet I find myself in peril,

unable to acknowledge you

or protect you from harm.

Only by staying away from me

can you avoid being harmed because of me.

[Wutong Mansion]

Move aside.

Miss Yixiao,

where are you going?

Do I need to report to you?

I don't mean to

stand in your way.

It's just that His Highness

is not at the mansion now,

and he never mentioned

that you would leave.

Miss, why don't you let me

accompany you for protection?

I don't need your protection.

[Wutong Mansion]

Don't follow me.

[Nansheng Gate]

This is the road out of the city.

Sister,

didn't you say

we were going to buy medicinal herbs for Master?

You... lied to us.

I didn't.

I...

Where are you taking us?

Yes.

I'll be honest with you.

It was your master who

asked me to take you out of the city.

She's in danger

and can't take care of you.

Be good.

Will you come back to Zhengnian Villa with me?

If Master is in danger,

why should we leave?

I want to get off.

Why are you being so disobedient?

If you stay here,

you'll only make your master

worry more.

If someone

uses your lives

to threaten your master...

-Then she... -Let's go.

Fang!

Fang!

Where are you going?

Shunzi!

Don't run!

Shunzi!

Brother! Sister!

-Stop! -Fang!

-Stop! -Don't run!

Brother!

Sister!

Eleven, watch over Nine.

-I'll go after them. -Sister, wait for me!

-Shunzi! -Brother!

-Sister! -Shunzi!

Your Highness,

you've finally come out.

Yun Fang

nearly drove me crazy.

He insisted on returning to camp to reorganize the troops,

and bringing the Feng Battalion into the city.

What is he trying to do?

Stage a rebellion?

Well, I talked to him.

We only stopped him after discussion.

That brat.

Are you alright, Your Highness?

What's His Majesty's

attitude toward the marriage alliance?

Whatever his attitude,

it won't happen anyway.

You have a plan already?

The undercover guards of Jinxiu attacked Yujing

and severely wounded the First Prince of Susha.

The two states had just ended the war,

and such a thing happened.

Besides, it was the fault of Jinxiu.

I'm sure they wouldn't dare to go to war because of this.

Brilliant, Your Highness!

You had us all so worried.

We were so worried.

I thought of it on the way just now.

Impressive.

It's impressive.

Your Highness,

something's happened.

Excuse me.

I'm sorry.

Master!

Master, please don't abandon me.

I'll do anything you ask.

Don't abandon me.

I'll be good.

Who told you to run off like that?

Running around like this is dangerous.

Do you understand?

Didn't I tell you

to listen to Xueying?

Why are you being so disobedient?

What if you got lost?

Are you asking for a spanking?

I...

Please don't abandon us.

I'm not abandoning you.

I want you

to leave Yujing City,

and keep yourselves safe,

understand?

Yixiao!

Yixiao!

These kids...

They're so disobedient.

I almost couldn't catch up with them.

-Master! -Slow down!

Why are you running around too?

You're all giving me headaches.

Where's Fang?

He's run off in that direction!

Fang went in another direction.

They ran off separately.

These two kids

have had me running ragged!

Yixiao, don't worry.

I'll go after Fang now.

I'll go find him.

You keep an eye on

these two kids.
