Thousands of years ago,

people all over the world
described encounters

with enormous, humanlike beings.

WILLIAM HENRY:
In ancient mythologies,

from the Greeks to the Nordics
to the Native Americans,

we have these legends of giants.

NARRATOR:
Giants can be found
throughout ancient artwork.

You see really interesting
figures depicted

that are infinitely larger
than regular humans.

NARRATOR:
And some archaeologists

even claim to have found
human bones

of extraordinary size.

JIM VIEIRA:
Smithsonian scientists uncovered

dozens of enormous skeletons.

NARRATOR:
Could it be that
the otherworldly giants

of myth and legend
truly existed?

ANDREW COLLINS:
I think that what we have today
as a civilization

was given to us by the giants.

NARRATOR:
Writing in the French
scientific journal Archeologie,

German geophysicist
Jörg Fassbinder and his team

reveal an extraordinary
discovery

that they made along the banks
of the Euphrates River.

While mapping the ancient
Mesopotamian city of Uruk,

the archaeologists found
something remarkable

hidden deep underground.

The German archaeological team
used magnetometers

to survey the ground beneath

what is believed to be
the city of Uruk.

They found a number
of underground structures,

but the one that got them
the most excited

was the discovery
of a very large tomb.

NARRATOR:
What makes this discovery
particularly exciting

is its potential connection

to the oldest known story
ever written,

called the Epic of Gilgamesh.

The more than 4,000-year-old
Sumerian text

describes King Gilgamesh,

who most experts believe
was a historical figure.

And it describes
that Gilgamesh was buried

beneath the ancient
Euphrates River

exactly where the German
archaeological team

detected an underground tomb.

German archaeologists thought

that they had
actually discovered

the tomb of King Gilgamesh.

It was right down
on the riverbed

where it was described to be.

So they were pretty much sure

that they had found the actual
tomb of King Gilgamesh.

NARRATOR:
According to some researchers,

finding the remains
of King Gilgamesh

might be the greatest

archaeological discovery
of all time,

because Gilgamesh
was described as a giant.

HENRY:
The ancient texts say
that Gilgamesh stood

an astounding 11 cubits tall,

which means he would be
about 17 feet tall.

Obviously, a giant.

And Sumerian scholars believe
that Gilgamesh was

a real historical figure.

So, if the structure that
the German archaeologists found

is, in fact,
the tomb of Gilgamesh,

then what they've discovered
was the tomb of an actual giant.

NARRATOR:
Is it possible
that the tomb of a giant

lies hidden beneath the earth
in southern Iraq?

Before the German archaeologists
could find out,

Iraq became embroiled
in the Second Gulf War,

and the team was forced
to flee the country.

But ancient astronaut theorists
find it intriguing

that the hero of humanity's
oldest known story

is of giant proportions.

In fact,
throughout the ancient world,

nearly every culture
told stories of giants.

HENRY:
When we look at the stories
of the giants,

it's a global phenomenon.

From North America,
South America,

throughout the Middle East,
there are stories

of these enormously powerful,
very tall beings.

GIORGIO A. TSOUKALOS:
Every ancient culture speaks of

a long-lost time
when the so-called giants

still mingled
amongst human beings.

For example, the First Nations
people of Australia,

their original creator gods,
the Wandjinas,

are depicted as these giant,
tall beings.

In ancient Greece,
we have stories

of the so-called Cyclops,

these giant, tall beings
with one eye in their forehead.

And in the ancient Veda texts,

the original Buddha allegedly
was 12 feet tall

with blue skin

and hands that would go down
below to his knees.

He was this giant man
that imparted knowledge.

The fact that we have
these stories worldwide

illustrates to me
that there had to have been

a common denominator.

NARRATOR:
If giants truly existed
in the distant past,

what were they?

Ancient astronaut
theorists suggest

that some accounts of giants
reveal that they were

something other than just humans
of extraordinary size,

like the ancient stories
from Ireland that tell

of mysterious visitors
known as the Tuatha Dé Danann.

HENRY:
The Tuatha Dé Danann
descended from the sky

in ships and landed
upon the mountains.

These mysterious beings
were giant demigods

that possessed
some advanced technology

that they ultimately used

to create some
of the most incredible

megalithic constructions
ever created.

NARRATOR:
The Tuatha Dé Danann
are sometimes credited

as being the builders
of enormous passage tombs

like Newgrange,
Knowth and Dowth.

And, in fact,

many ancient megalithic sites
around the world

are associated with giants,

like the Ggantija temple
in Malta,

which is believed to be
more than 5,000 years old.

In Malta, you have
some of the most ancient

and most gigantic
megalithic sites on Earth.

One of these megalithic
structures in Malta

is called Ggantija,

because it comes from the giant.

In fact, it was a woman giant
that gave birth to giant twins,

and she created
some of these structures

in order to protect
her children.

NARRATOR:
In the 17th century,

a Maltese nobleman
named Gian Francesco Abela

claimed to have found evidence

that these legends
may have been based in fact.

HUGH NEWMAN:
Gian Francesco Abela claims

to have found
not only giant skeletons

but skulls, teeth

and other bone fragments
all across the island of Malta.

But also, other people

have reported on them, as well,
at this time.

NARRATOR:
Other megalithic sites
connected to stories of giants

include the so-called
Tombs of the Giants in Sardinia,

the Greek archaeological site
of Mycenae

and Baalbek in Lebanon.

VIEIRA: Traveling the world,
you will find the same story.

It's ubiquitous.

Megalithic sites are
associated with giants,

supernatural beings,

strange technologies,

and the legends
are very explicit.

They're unambiguous.

NARRATOR:
One ancient site that has
long been associated with giants

is the famous
megalithic structure in England

known as Stonehenge.

VIEIRA:
The original name
of Stonehenge was

the Giants' Ring
or the Giants' Dance.

That's the Welsh name.

What's noteworthy is

the earliest representation
of Stonehenge

has Merlin, King Ambrosius

and a 12-foot giant
building Stonehenge.

NARRATOR:
The image appears in
a mid-14th-century manuscript

illustrating an account
in a much earlier text

called The British History.

Written by
Geoffrey of Monmouth in 1136,

the book recounts
how the wizard Merlin

used powerful magic
and the help of giants

to transport and construct
the massive Stonehenge monument.

While the story may sound
like the stuff of fantasy,

there have been multiple reports
of giant bones

being discovered near
the ancient stone circle.

NEWMAN:
In the general area
around Stonehenge,

numerous skeletons
have been unearthed

over the last 600 years
that suggest that giants

actually resided
in this immediate area.

In the early 1500s,

Thomas Elyot,
who was a well-known scholar,

discovered with his father
Richard Elyot

at a place just south
of Stonehenge

a 14-foot, ten-inch skeleton

in a wooden oak coffin.

And it also had
this strange metal disc--

very large,
almost like a tabletop disc--

made of lead and tin with these
very strange inscriptions on it.

Elyot was very well respected,
a member of Parliament,

and he recorded this several
times in the historical record.

NARRATOR:
Was a giant skeleton,

buried with some kind
of mysterious artifact,

really unearthed at Stonehenge?

Could it be
that thousands of years ago,

humans encountered otherworldly
beings of enormous proportions?

Ancient astronaut theorists
say yes

and suggest there is
even evidence

that giants walked the Earth
in much more recent times,

as recorded in the ship logs

of some of history's
greatest explorers.

NARRATOR:
It is less than three months
since the start of World War I,

and the front page
of The New York Times

is dominated by headlines
about the global conflict.

But on page nine,
a sensational article

documents the incredible
discoveries

recently made in South America

by Australian explorer
Captain James Besley,

which include the bones
of an eight-foot-tall man.

VIEIRA:
In 1914, Captain Besley led
an expedition in Peru

where he unearthed
a giant skeleton

with a huge, elongated skull.

He wrote about it.
He discovered it.

He reported it.

You know, what's interesting is,
in the historical record,

there's many accounts
of giant skeletons

being unearthed
in the Lake Titicaca region.

Some were enormous-- eight-,
nine-, ten-foot-tall skeletons.

Now, sometimes these are
animal bones

that at the time were,
uh, misunderstood.

But oftentimes,
they are human burials

with human artifacts,
elongated skulls,

but a lot of it seems
to be lost to history.

So it's still open-ended as to
what happened to the bones.

NARRATOR:
Is it possible
that skeletons of giants

standing as much
as ten feet tall

were discovered
near Lake Titicaca?

While the finds
were well-documented,

what happened
to these allegedly giant,

humanlike bones remains unknown.

But researchers point out

that when Spanish conquistadors
first arrived

in Peru in the 1500s,

the Native people
told them stories

of giants that once inhabited
the entire region.

TSOUKALOS:
In 1553, the Spanish
conquistador Pedro Cieza de León

wrote in his chronicles of Peru

that the Native people
told him about giants

who arrived in the area
long ago.

And according
to local traditions,

their ancestors
encountered people so tall

that an ordinary human

would only come up
to their knees.

And Pedro Cieza de León
also claimed

that some of the Spaniards
found a giant shin bone

and a giant tooth.

NEWMAN:
There are accounts
of giants existing

around the area of Lake Titicaca
in the Peru, Bolivia,

Altiplano area.

The Inca said that
there was a tradition

of these giants called Huaris

building sites like Tiahuanaco
and Puma Punku

long before the Inca or any
other cultures existed there.

We also have stories,
even at Tiahuanaco itself,

that the great
founder god Viracocha,

who emerged from Lake Titicaca,

created a race of giants
from the earth, from the mud,

and controlled them

so they would build
the megalithic sites

in the area,
like Tiahuanaco and Puma Punku,

before they were then vanquished
by a great flood.

The historical record
and the legends

seem to be telling us
about giant humanoids

existing in the past
and being associated

with megalithic building.

NARRATOR:
For ancient astronaut theorists,

the stories of giants
and alleged discoveries

of giant bones in Peru
are compelling.

But even more intriguing
is the fact

that some of history's
greatest explorers

claimed to have actually
seen giants in South America

with their own eyes.

Sanlúcar, Spain.

September 8, 1522.

After more than three years
at sea, the Victoria,

a ship launched by Portuguese
explorer Ferdinand Magellan,

sails into the harbor.

Its arrival completes the first
circumnavigation of the globe.

As recorded in the ship's log,

Magellan and his crew
faced dangerous storms,

fierce battles
and grand receptions.

But for many,
the most intriguing account

detailed an unusual encounter
near the tip of South America.

TSOUKALOS:
Ferdinand Magellan and his crew
were approaching land

near the southernmost point
of South America when,

according to the expedition's
official chronicles,

they encountered
these towering giants

who apparently stood
twice as tall as a normal human.

ANTONIO PIGAFETTA (dramatized):
We saw a giant,

who was on the shore of the sea,

quite naked, and was dancing
and leaping and singing.

He was so tall that the tallest
of us only came up to his waist.

However, he was well-built.

The captain named
this kind of people Patagon.

NEWMAN:
They witnessed
these extremely tall

human Natives of the area,

and he actually named
the area Patagonia

because it translates
as "Land of the Big Feet."

And these clearly had very
big feet, as these were giants.

VIEIRA:
According to the logs
of the Victoria,

Magellan took back two of
these giants on his voyage home

with the goal of presenting them
to the court in Spain.

But they became so sick
and died,

they had to be thrown overboard.

NARRATOR:
Is it possible
that Ferdinand Magellan,

one of history's
most celebrated explorers,

encountered actual giants
in Argentina?

Researchers suggest the story
might be more easily dismissed

were it not for the fact that
a similar encounter with giants

was documented by another famous
explorer in South America.

The account came from Dutch
ship captain Jacob Roggeveen

and his crew in 1722

after they arrived
at a mysterious spot

off the coast of Chile

that Roggeveen would
later name Easter Island.

NEWMAN:
The Dutch explorers
of Easter Island,

not only did they witness
Polynesian types on the island;

they also witnessed
these very tall people,

which they called giants.

And the strange thing
about them--

they look quite different
to the native Polynesians.

They were much taller.

They had red or auburn hair.

And in some cases,
they described them

as having fairer skin
than the Polynesians

of that particular island.

DAVID CHILDRESS:
So here we have people
seeing giants in South America.

And you hear stories

in other places, too,

where people encounter
what they say are

extremely tall giants.

And it seems incredible,

but it's certainly,
you know, not impossible.

NARRATOR:
Could explorers in South America

have encountered
real-life giants

just a few hundred years ago?

While the accounts of men
like Ferdinand Magellan

and Jacob Roggeveen
are truly incredible,

researchers say that evidence
of giants is even more abundant

in North America.

NARRATOR:
At Lovelock Cave,

two miners are collecting
bat guano

to be used as fertilizer.

One layer of guano they remove
is estimated to weigh 250 tons,

and within it they discover
incredible ancient artifacts.

We know,
from the historical record,

that these excavations occurred.

And they began
finding artifacts--

duck decoys,

huge woven shoes
for-for giant feet--

and eventually, they found
a number of skeletons,

complete skeletons
of people with red hair

who were almost eight feet tall.

And there were
two museums in Nevada

created for
these giant skeletons.

Today, we don't know where
any of those skeletons are.

They are not on display.

NARRATOR:
Could the remains
of redheaded giants

have been unearthed
within Lovelock Cave?

While the bones
allegedly recovered in 1911

have since gone missing,

researchers find it compelling
that the Native Paiute people

have oral traditions
involving red-haired giants.

NEWMAN:
The first account

of these red-haired giants
at Lovelock Cave

was written about
by Sarah Winnemucca Hopkins,

who was the daughter of a chief

of the Paiute tribe.

In 1893,
Sarah Winnemucca published

a book about Paiute history

in which she recounted
her people's battles

with a giant called Sai-duka'a.

The Sai-duka'a was said
to have been white-complected,

having red hair,
and well over seven foot tall.

The Paiutes explained
that these giants created

so much of a problem that
the Paiutes had 350 warriors

take care of this problem
once and for all.

NARRATOR:
While there are many skeptics
who question her story,

Sarah Winnemucca Hopkins
was a highly respected figure

who even met with U.S. President
Rutherford B. Hayes

to advocate for the humane
treatment of her tribe.

A bronze statue honoring her
stands prominently

in the Capitol Visitor Center's
Emancipation Hall

in Washington, D.C.

Now, what's fascinating
is that Sarah Winnemucca says

that this was an actual battle.

This wasn't folklore.

This was a battle
that actually happened.

JON DOVER:
The Paiutes were
warring with them

for many, many years.

The giants were said
to attack tribal members

and take them and devour them.

And so, finally, the, uh, tribe
just decided that's enough

and set out on a major campaign.

And what they found was that
these giants were inhabiting

a large cave.

And they piled up brush
on the outside and set a fire...

...and directed the smoke
into the cave,

thereby suffocating
all the inhabitants.

NEWMAN:
What is interesting
about the discovery

in 1911 at Lovelock Cave
in Nevada

was the fact that it showed
evidence of extreme burning,

like fires had been lit
inside the entrance to the cave.

And this matched the story
of Sarah Winnemucca Hopkins

from her writings.

NARRATOR:
Sarah Winnemucca's ancestors
not only passed down to her

the story of their war
with giants

but also a physical relic

taken from their fallen enemies.

NEWMAN:
We have evidence of red hair

because she actually saved
some of the hair

and sewed it
into a mourning dress,

which she used
when she gave lectures.

NARRATOR:
As far as ancient astronaut
theorists are concerned,

Lovelock Cave
and the stories surrounding it

provide strong evidence

that there were giants on Earth
in the distant past.

And it is just one
of many sites in North America

associated with giants.

In the 19th century,

Jesuit missionaries
traveling through this area

came upon what is now known as
the Painted Cave of El Carmen.

Adorning the cave walls,
they saw giant figures

that somewhat resembled humans

but with extra digits
on their hands and feet.

VIEIRA:
What's fascinating is

when the Jesuits showed up
and spoke to the Cochimí people

who lived in the area
in the 1700s,

they claimed that a race of
giants made the rock art there.

They said they came from
the north, male and female.

And when you look
at the rock art,

you have these giant beings,

and they have six fingers
on their hands,

which is very interesting.

Polydactyly is a rare
genetic condition in humans.

And it causes the growth
of extra digits,

extra fingers, extra toes.

But in the ancient world,
it's associated with the divine,

the supernatural and giants.

In fact, from places
like isolated Pacific islands,

Australia, Botswana, Africa,
Malta, the American Southwest,

you have extra digits
associated with giant beings.

Now, it's pretty specific
iconography

to be found in cultures
that had little or no contact.

NARRATOR:
Descriptions of giants
with extra fingers and toes

can even be found
within the pages

of the Bible's Old Testament.

TSOUKALOS:
In 2 Samuel 21:20,

it says there was a war at Gath

where there was a man
of great stature

who had six fingers on each hand

and six toes on each foot.

And he also was born
to the giants.

So here we have
a biblical description

of a giant with six toes
and six fingers,

very similar to what we see
in that petroglyph in Mexico.

NARRATOR:
While the mysterious cave art

and the stories told
by the local Cochimí people

are intriguing,
for many researchers,

what's most compelling about
the Painted Cave of El Carmen

is that, just like
Lovelock Cave in Nevada,

it was allegedly found to hold
the remains of giants.

The Jesuits, in their records,
actually reported

unearthing giant bones

and believed that giants
lived there

because of what
the Cochimí told them.

But it's still open-ended as to
what happened to the bones.

What's noteworthy, however,
is that you have a situation

where myth and oral tradition

is lining up
with the Jesuits' own records.

NARRATOR:
Do the oral histories,
petroglyphs

and alleged discoveries
of enormous humanlike bones

reveal that giants
once inhabited North America?

While the evidence
is certainly compelling,

for ancient astronaut theorists,

the most convincing accounts
are those that are backed up

with photographs.

NARRATOR:
Sonora, Mexico.

The early 1930s.

American explorer Paxson Hayes

is researching
local snake species

while living among
the Indigenous Yaqui people.

His studies take place
over several years,

and as he gains the trust
of the Yaqui,

they begin to tell him
about strange happenings

in the region.

Paxson Hayes respected
their culture,

so he was brought in, and-and...

and these oral traditions
of giants were shared with him.

The Yaqui,
like so many other tribes,

firmly believed that there were
giant beings that existed.

NARRATOR:
The Yaqui said that
according to their traditions,

somewhere nearby was
an entire lost city of giants,

and Hayes set out to find it.

In 1935,
he claimed to have succeeded.

According to Hayes,
the city he discovered

appeared to be
thousands of years old.

And what he found there
was astounding.

VIEIRA:
Paxson Hayes reported to find 34

seven-and-a-half-foot
mummified giants.

Now, I have
the original press release

that show one of the mummified
giants bundled up that he found

and a giant mummified head
and this enormous gourd.

So there's visual proof.

Paxson Hayes
was quite blown away

by all these discoveries
that were being made.

But he lost all his funding

to continue
the exploration and research.

And the lost city has never
been found since, incidentally.

NARRATOR:
Could it be that the remarkable
claims of Paxson Hayes are true?

Perhaps further clues
can be found

by examining reports of
another extraordinary discovery

made in the American Midwest.

Throughout the Ohio Valley,

we have what's called
the Adena burial mounds.

And these are, in a sense,
pyramids or mounds.

And starting
in the mid-1800s or so,

they began to excavate.

And what these early
archaeologists discovered

was quite astonishing.

They were getting
skeletal remains

of people who were giants.

Miamisburg Mound in Ohio
is one of the largest

Adena burial mounds
in the region.

Numerous digs took place
in this particular mound

and other mounds in the area.

And in 1856, a remarkable
discovery was unearthed

of an eight-foot,
two-inch skeleton

within the mound itself.

Now, this caused a kind of
sensation in the local area.

It was reported in great detail.

Medical doctors
and scholars looked at it.

But the Smithsonian
didn't really follow up

and do some proper
research and analysis.

When it comes to studying

the so-called giant remains
of North America,

the Smithsonian,
they just kind of ignore

any anomalies, anything
that's out of the ordinary

that doesn't fit
their preexisting paradigm.

NARRATOR:
The Smithsonian routinely
dismissed reported discoveries

of giant bones.

But records filed by the
institute's own archaeologists

document the discovery
of numerous oversized skeletons

throughout the Ohio Valley.

The Smithsonian's own scientists
have dozens

of recorded instances
of the unearthing

of eight-foot-tall inhabitants,

36-inch-circumference skull

found by T.M. Perrin
in Illinois.

It's all in the record.

NARRATOR:
But if the Smithsonian
discovered giant bones,

why would they later
cover up their existence?

Some researchers suggest

scholars are simply unwilling
to entertain the notion

that something long relegated
to the realm of fantasy

could be real.

The idea of giants
belongs to this, uh,

mythological, religious realm

of the ideological enemy
of science.

So the incredible intellect
of many people are spent

debunking, marginalizing
and mocking these ideas.

But right in the records
we have another story.

NARRATOR:
While the Smithsonian
continues to claim

that giants belong
to the realm of fantasy,

many Native American tribes

consider these
supposedly mythic beings

as part of their history.

DOVER:
Native Americans
have a tradition

of oral history.

That history has to be said
exactly as it happened.

It can't be embellished.

Part of this tradition
is that in the past,

there were giants
here on the Earth.

In Navajo culture,
you have the Hero Twins

that were specifically trained
to fight giants.

And they were known
as the giant slayers.

HENRY:
According to the story,

the twins emerged
from an abalone shell

and turquoise
that fell from the sky.

They were raised
by a local woman.

And when they grew older,
they were told

that giants had been
harassing their people.

And they later went on a journey
to defeat these giants.

NARRATOR:
According to Navajo mythology,

a powerful sky being
named Tsohanoai,

or "the Bearer of the Sun,"

gave the twins powerful weapons
to aid them in their quest.

JASON MARTELL:
One of the twins was given
a magical bow and arrow

that could hit its target
with unwielding precision.

The other twin was given
a type of staff

that could somehow
protect both of them.

Now, these weapons were said
to have been given to them

by a god that descended
from the sky.

To me, this doesn't
sound like magic.

It sounds like some type of
misrepresentation of technology,

possibly given to them
by extraterrestrials.

NARRATOR:
Is it possible

that the Navajo story
of the Hero Twins

is an account
of historical events

that involved not only
real-life giants

but also extraterrestrial
intervention?

Perhaps further clues
can be found

by examining the writings
of a famous 19th-century mystic

who taught that long ago

Earth was ruled
by a towering race of beings

who possessed
highly advanced technology.

NARRATOR:
Famous Russian mystic
and philosopher

Madame Helena Blavatsky founds
the Theosophical Society,

an esoteric organization

that explores theories
on the origins of humanity.

The Theosophical Society
was, um,

the most influential esoteric

or spiritual organization
in the late 19th century.

One of the earliest people
to join was Thomas Edison,

who was working on
the light bulb at the time.

And W.B. Yeats,

the Nobel Prize-winning
Irish poet,

was an early member
of the Theosophical Society.

Abner Doubleday,
who was the Civil War hero,

inventor of baseball.

And one person
whom Madame Blavatsky had

an enormous impact on
was Mahatma Gandhi.

Blavatsky starts out as a...
as a product of her time

in that
the spiritualist movement

is spreading across Europe,

and she really takes it
to a new level

and in her early adulthood
goes off on these

sort of grand adventures

to discover what's out there
in the world of esoterica.

And these adventures
take her to Tibet,

and she begins to communicate

with intelligences
referred to as mahatmas

or masters or ascended masters.

NARRATOR:
Madame Blavatsky claimed
to have been contacted

by an ascended master
she called Koot Hoomi,

who lived
in the mountains of Tibet.

Madame Blavatsky believes
that she is bringing forth

this ancient wisdom.

And she demonstrates
through a type of channeling,

and she is bringing forth
information

from this brotherhood
of ascended masters.

NARRATOR:
According to Blavatsky,

Koot Hoomi brought to light
new information

about humankind's ancient past,

which includes ages in which
giants walked the Earth.

She shared these revelations
in her controversial book,

The Secret Doctrine.

GARY LACHMAN:
She wrote this enormous work
called The Secret Doctrine.

And this is an occult history
of the universe,

and it includes the notion
that there were

previous civilizations,
what she called root races.

In her view,
humanity went through

or will go through
seven epochs or cycles

in its development, beginning
with the first root race,

which she called Polaria.

This was considered to be
an astral race

that lived in one
of the polar regions.

The second root race,

she referred to
as the Hyperboreans.

They lived at the North Pole.

And then she describes
the third root race,

the Lemurians,

who are described
as towering figures.

They are this advanced
race of giants

that is followed then
by the fourth root race,

the Atlanteans.

And then she describes us
as actually living

in the fifth root race, which is
a combination of a spiritual

and a material being.

NARRATOR:
According to Blavatsky's book,

while there is a progression

from one root race to the next,

it is not a straight line
of evolution,

and both the third
and fourth root races,

the Lemurians and Atlanteans,

had technology
and spiritual awareness

superior to modern-day humans.

A different cosmology
that included

giants and normal people,

different races
that existed in the past

and then were replaced
by another root race.

The Christian church holds
a secret meeting

called the Council of Laodicea

to discuss the removal
of certain books

from the biblical canon.

Among them is the Book of Enoch.

Why it was determined
that this book

should be stricken
from the Bible

is the subject of much debate,

but many biblical scholars
suggest it was due to

controversial stories
involving the Watchers,

a group of 200 angels

who were tasked
with watching over humankind.

The Watchers came down
from heaven

to mix with mortal-kind.

They were said to have revealed
the arts and sciences of heaven,

and this allowed us
the rudiments of civilization.

But what's so interesting
is that these rebel Watchers

were also said
to have taken human wives,

and the wives gave birth
to giants known as Nephilim.

This is handed down
in the Book of Enoch

absolutely clearly.

When the sons of the gods
saw that the daughters of man

were beauty,
they took them to wife,

and the product of it
were giants.

Just look at these old myths
with modern languages.

Change the word of "angel"
into "extraterrestrial."

These giants were a mixture

between humans
and extraterrestrials.

The Nephilim are
this hybrid offspring

that were extremely powerful

and described as very tall.

They were also threatening
to humanity.

In fact, we're told
that the flood of Noah

was sent to destroy the giants.

But there were survivors,

and there were
eyewitness accounts

of giants after the flood.

In the Book of Numbers,
the sons of Anak were giants.

Goliath is cited as another of
the descendants of these giants,

very tall in stature,
very powerful being.

The Book of Enoch used to be
part of the Bible.

This book contained,
in my opinion,

explosive topics.

Because certain books
of the Bible were removed,

and you have to ask
the question, why?

with beings referred to as
