- [Instructor] Chapter 02_03, we're going to

customize layout with toolbars,

as far as the Mac is concerned.

Not huge amount to do on the Mac.

Just a few little bits and pieces

that we can use.

So if you go to the toolbar across the top

and right click, or if you've got a Magic Mouse

type thing, then Control click and choose Customize Toolbar.

That then launches these icons where

you can drag these onto the toolbar.

So the ones wobble across the top.

So we're just dragging up, Send to Back.

and Bring to Front, Bring Forward and Send Backwards,

those are useful icons to have.

And we'll also put on the Colors and the Fonts.

Because they do not appear on the stack.

Okay, so they're useful to have up there as well.

Feel free to add anything else.

So the alignment tools, the snap tools.

There's all sorts of other things you

can put on there if you fancy.

That's entirely up to you.

I'll hit Escape to get rid of that.

And then, those are set on to the toolbar.

Now, another thing that I need to run through

is the setting up of shortcuts.

So if you go to Layout and Preferences

or the Command and comma, this brings

up the Layout Preferences.

And we've already got Shortcuts highlighted.

The commands are the same, or the options are the same

as they are in Windows.

And then just go to the Filter

and type in A-R-R to get through

to the arrange options.

And then if we click on Bring to Front

and type in Control Shift and F,

that sets that one.

No need to hit Enter or anything.

And then we'll choose the Send to Back

and hit Control Shift and B.

That sets that one.

Close that out and now we've got

some shortcuts as well.

And that's pretty much it.

So there are a couple of extra icons on this toolbar.

We've got Add a Page, and then we've got

the forward and backwards pages.

So that depends on how many pages

you've actually got in your file.

Then there's this one.

Adds another document.

So you just click on that and that

will create a new document.

That's pretty much it with the customizing

of the toolbars for the Mac.

Very simple process.

We'll now go and meet up with the Windows users

and go back to Layout Preferences.

So that's Control comma or the Layout and Preferences.

And then we can crack on with the rest.
