They told me that Henry was a Devi Upasaka,

meaning a devotee of the divine mother,

the Parashakti as they call her.

But here's where it gets real juicy.

You see, mother appears in various forms.

The form Henry worships.

Alias, my Chiquita.

See, he used to worship her in that valley.

And if I'm right, on the exact same spot.

That's really intriguing.

Have you ever seen her
again in your spiritual practice?

Well, the funny thing is, after that night,

I never had another vision of Devi.

I did wonder why it happened right then though.

I thought on it a while, and I realized

that that valley was soaked in the worship of Devi.

And that maybe with the realization of my divorce,

I was finally open and receptive enough

to experience that mystical dimension of life

that so few ordinary people ever get to touch.

You know, I don't know,

but as I got further into Devi and yoga

and the deeper philosophies,
it finally gave me words

to express the feelings that I felt when my wife left.

A way to make sense of it all

and find peace,

whether there's a higher power

like Devi or not, I don't really care.

I never expected such profound thoughts
