with veterans and the new

artists coming in.

I felt like a new artist

naturally banded together right

Did that put a target on your

>> Coming into the competition

was like a snake pit and I felt

like the new artists were coming

at me from every angle.

>> It's becoming more about

strategy and in this season

especially people teaming up

together.

>> Creating alliances.

>> Yes.

>> That was one way to play the

game but alliances and throwing

people under the bus, I think it

kind of creates unnecessary

drama and tension and affects

the artwork.

On my season, it wasn't a

malicious shark tank.

>> Well, Christian, you created

the alliance that some would

argue ran the game.

>> What do you think about that?

>> Yeah, I think to win this

competition you had to have a

good strategy to keep your

opponents down.

That makes you a smart player.

We came in with a huge

disadvantage against the vets

and trying to survive.

It was logical to band together

and hit the vest as hard as we

could and look who is sitting

here.

[ Cheers ]

>> That's interesting.

Let's talk to matti because

matti, you kind of praised both

sides.

>> You come into a house and

everybody is going after you.

You would be stupid if you

didn't.

>> Yeah.

>> Wow.

There can only be one "ink"

"master" so if you have to form

some crazy alliance and army to

knock everybody out, come on.

>> Yeah, here we go with the

lone wolf thing again, man.

What about your girlfriend?

I'll tell you the biggest

mistake Megan made was leaving

the alliance and hooking up...

I think that I just thought it

was ridiculous that Anthony and

Christian thought they could

tell me who I could hang out

with.

>> So ultimately, ultimately,

they didn't like that I wouldn't

go after cleen and eventually my

relationship with cleen was more

important to me than the

alliance.

American traditional tattoo

we've seen in this competition

so far.

I love the size.

I love how bold it is.

head stood out more clearly but

one of the things I struggle

with during the competition.

Japanese piece because I'm going

style, I got a lot of work to

I'll kill it.

and baddest tattoo of my career.

because that's going to win me

My color saturation is so bright

>> This is about those who did

it specifically for you.

I wanted something really dark

and beautiful this and this is

based on a classic ballet about

a young girl chosen by her tribe

as a sacrifice and she dances

herself to death for the God of

spring.

So, I thought it might be

something you dig.

>> God of spring, right?

>> Christian, Christian, I

really love this tattoo, man.

It's beautiful.

It tells a wonderful story.

It has dark imagery and has

beautiful details.

I love the combination of the

black and gray with the color

background.

I think there is some areas

where your color got away from

you a little bit but the details

and the smoothness, nobody can

touch you on that.

position between the black and

gray and color is really nice.

I also love the way you have

silhouette figures dancing

behind to make the roses come

forward.

Really great play with dark and

I had to be competitive and

represent where I was raised and

being brought up by a single mom

and my character throughout the

season and everything and

planted my attacks.

just the position the colors are

great.

>> She's a singer so I really

wanted to give her something she

would love and she really loves

music and made it 100% clean

rock style.

Thoughts?

>> Cleen, I think you got your

style and bright color.

It stands strong and saturated.

I think that your competition

falls pretty short.

I think that the inside of the

arm and the background is just,

you know, tattooed well but just

not laid out nice and I think

that you could have had a better

face on there for sure.

>> Chris?

>> Well, cleen, you did a lot of

solid, tough, strong bright

tattooing.

The sleeve looks really good

from a distance.

I think a little bit of the

drawing got away from you on

this one and I think that all

the area you did on the inside

of the arm really you should

have worked on the outside and

boosted everything up.

Got that time in, you know.

Overall, it's a beautiful

sleeve.

Judges, what are you thinking?

>> We got great tattoos here.

I'm really thinking... it's a

tough call.

Anthony's sleeve is laid out

beautifully.

I know cleen did a lot more

coverage but of his two sleeves,

Anthony is the one I'm running

for.

sleeves is where they got to do

whatever they wanted and the

chest pieces where they had to

accomplish the challenge they

were given, I think for drawing

up the style of the Japanese

dragon and details Anthony

captured are amazing.

It's a lot of detail from across

the room, you can tell it's

dragon.

You can really see how much work

is into that tattoo.

An immense amount of work.

It's scripted lines but is it

done?

guys as tattooers and everything

turned in.

covered the whole arm.

You sleeved out the whole arm.

Coverage, they both look
