Heat. Heat.

Qualifying for rounds 10 and 11 of the

F1 Academy in 2025 was a challenge.

Early morning rain left the Zanfor track

very slippery in places. An agnosticis,

one of those that had a disappointing

moment. As the session continued, the

track was drying in places, yet it was

slippery elsewhere. And in the final

stages, they were able to put the slick

tires on. Still some of those having

major problems as a result. But we saw

the fastest times being set and it was

Dutch competitor Maver who set the pace.

We are now getting ready though for the

reverse grid race, the first race of the

weekend. And that means of course that

Maya Ver will actually start down in

eighth place. She'll start from pole in

the main points race tomorrow. But it's

another Dutch racer Nina Gateman who

will be starting from pole position. So

the Dutch fans have plenty to support

here at Vanvort in the Netherlands on

this remarkable circuit. 2.6 mi long,

4.2 km with so much up and down and

camber through the corners, especially

the last couple of corners as well. It

is going to be fun to see how they get

on. Now alongside me, Alice Pal, who

raced here, won here in the past in W

series. And Alice, the the conditions

that we saw earlier on were very tricky.

Looks like it's going to be dry for the

actual race. It does. I mean, it was

looking nice and sunny. We've had some

cloud come over now. As you can see, the

cars all lined up on the grid. Some of

the personnel starting to to leave. And

we've got Nina Gademan starting on pole

position. She'll be hoping for a very

happy 22nd birthday today.

Yeah, that would be remarkable, wouldn't

it?

Seeking her first win in F1 Academy.

However, she's got two challengers right

behind her in Tina Houseman and Leah

Block who are also in the hunt for their

first win in this series. Yeah, and Nina

Gman, it's great to see her out because

yesterday there was a slight moment

where she couldn't go out in FD2 um

being recognized for unfit, but they

rechecked her and she was able to

compete. And it's great she's going to

be starting on the front row there with

Tina Houseman, Leah Block, and Dorian

Pam, series leader on the second row.

But let's take a little bit more of a

detail at the entire grid. So, starting

down the back, Eva Anakiardis and

Aurelia Nobles, they didn't set times in

qualifying. So they're down on the final

row of the grid. Nicole Habdrada, lots

of penalties. Uh she's ended up 16th on

the grid. Joan Jonte is in 15th

position, 14th. Also, she could do a lot

better than that. She scored points from

seven out of eight races. Courtney Cone

starts from 13th on Madrid. Chloe Chong

best finished fifth so far this year.

Raphaela Ferrer, she's had a fifth place

as well. She starts 11th. Emma Felber

down in 10th even though she was setting

some of the fastest sector times. And

the wild card, Esme Costermanman. Keep

an eye on her. She starts in ninth.

Eighth place. Then Maya Vog, who was

fastest in qualifying. Alicia Palmoski,

who's also been one of the front runners

throughout. Ella Lloyd has been quick

all weekend as well. Finished second

three times last time out. Kloe Chambers

of course second in the championship.

She starts in fifth. There's our series

leader, Diane Pan, starting fourth.

LeBlock starts in third place. And then

on that front row, we have Tina

Houseman, her best grid position in

2025. And Nina Gabman her second time

she's had pole for a reverse grid race.

It happened for her in the opening round

in China and it looked like she was

going to win that race actually. Nina G.

She did a great job but unfortunately

had an issue with the car and it was a

nonfinish for her.

It was plagued by that technical issue

to totally took her out of the race. She

was leading of course the reverse grid

race in Canada as well until the final

moments where Emma Felbire and M Ella

Lloyd were just able to sneak on

through. But as I said, there's a a few

drivers on that front row or the front

couple of rows that are looking for

their first win. And Dorian Pan, she's

looking pumped. She knows she needs to

stay out of trouble and she also knows

she needs to finish ahead of her rivals.

You can see just on the left hand side

there of the shot uh is Maya Verg who

knows technically she's got to try and

beat Dorian Pan to keep herself in this

fight for the championship.

And isn't it interesting Alice how we've

got Prema team three all three are in

the top four places uh on this grid

because the Premma team they run Nina

Gman they run Tina Houseman and the cars

just heading away on the formation lap

but they also run Dorian Pat. So you've

got the three car three cars out of that

Premer team in the top four places. The

only one Leah Block who's with ART with

the Williams backing. So it's great to

see that. But whether that's going to

work when we get to the end of the race,

that's another story. Of course,

that is another story. But Prema have

experience of winning here last year

with Dorian Pan and Alpine have

experience of winning here too with Abby

Pulling who won race one here last year.

Well, it's going to be a fascinating

race. our top three on the grid. Nina

Gman, Tina Houseman, and Leah Blog.

Let's hear from those top three.

Starting with Leah.

I think we'll just have to hold out and

see what the weather does. Um, but I'm

happy to, you know, starting P3 second

row. Um, yeah, I think it it's a good

position for both races. Um, so I'm

excited. I think it's going to be fun.

I would love a wet race. The first few

laps in quali have been in the wet tires

and we were super strong. So I hope it's

going to be wet race to be honest.

Uh well yeah later today it's going to

be dry probably. So that's just uh tough

getting hanging in there probably from

P1. Uh tomorrow from P8 it'll be wet and

then I don't worry that much about

starting P8 cuz I'm quite good in the

wet. So I expect my way like to fight my

way to the front.

Well, weather here at Zavville is always

a bit unpredictable and from what we

were looking at earlier, Alice, it could

well be a wet race tomorrow, couldn't

it?

It certainly could be and uh that will

unleash and that plenty of overtakes,

I'm sure, usually causes a bit more

carnage.

Esme, please box. Please box. And we

will start the race at the end of pit

lane. We explain later.

That's a real disappointment for the

wild card entry. The Dutch racer Esme

Costermanman who's done a good job.

She's ninth on the grid. Uh best wild

card qualifying so far we've seen this

year. But now she's going to have to

start from the pit lane.

Yeah, that's not ideal. We've actually

This is not the first time we've seen

something like this happen. I think I

remember Ella Lloyd had to do something

similar. And that was due to Oh, we've

had Ava uh her weekend goes from bad to

worse clearly trying to warm up her

tires there and make a mistake and uh

spinning off. But we saw Elody have to

do that in Shanghai, I believe, because

of a minimum tire pressure being under

that legal limit. So, not saying that's

what's happened, but we'll keep an eye

on if we get any more updates. As you

can see, drivers coming round the final

turn now. Still getting plenty of

temperature in their tires. Last few

burnouts. It's not carbon clutches on an

F1 Academy car, so you do have to be

quite careful on how many clutch

burnouts you do. Last thing you want is

to overheat the clutch.

Now the Ferrari backed car there as you

can see Maya Vberg and in fact yes

coming into the pits. There goes Esme

Costman. So she's going to have to start

from the pit lane. But the Ferrari

packing of Maya uh the Dutch racer that

was fastest in qualifying. She starts

down in eighth place. remember she had a

very tough time at the previous event in

Canada where they had a technical issue

with the car and it just it it lost her

the lead in the championship basically

and she's now some well 35 points behind

Dorian Pam because she made up two

points by taking pole position earlier

they're putting air in the rear tire so

I think that's explained but it's green

flag at the rear of the field Ben

so we're all set to go racing here as We

look at the Xanva race. Lights out. F1

Academy is go. And it's a very good

start indeed by Nina Gateman. She's made

an absolutely blistering start and has a

very comfortable lead going into the

first corner. Tina Houseman in second

place, but Leah Block going around the

outside. Leah Block in the Williams

backing is looking good. And to takes

second, but Chambers, Chloe Chambers,

one of the contenders for the

championship. She's dropped loads of

places.

She has. She was forced out wide there.

But a great start from Leah Block and

our pole sitter Nina Gman. Those two

drivers are looking for their first win

in this series. But falling black and

some dust being kicked up there. And

it's side by side between the two Premer

teammates.

Yes, Darian Pan, the series leader

trying to come in there. She's in fourth

place trying to grab third. But Leah

Block here who's done a great job. Let's

see how she can get on. She's finished

fourth a couple of times this in F1

Academy once in Singapore last year and

once in Canada this year, but you're

also keeping an eye on that battle for

third because in Maya bird and the

Ferrari backing up the inside of Lloyd

couldn't quite make that work. But this

is a very close battle between some of

the front runners and she's got back up

the inside again. Oh, nearly making

contact.

Lovely switch back move, but it's not

done yet. as she has to tuck back in

behind LA. She's going to have the run

down to turn 11. She's going to have to

block there. She does on the inside.

Alicia Palmoski is sat quite close

behind the Ferrari back driver and

everyone fairly clean and safely through

and Noval. She's been able to gain a

position on Agnostiardis as they make

their way up through into turn 13.

Absolutely. Well, let's see how this all

develops as we go. It's going to be

fascinating. Uh but up front, oh

puncture for Khloe Chong and that's a

great shame for Khloe starting down in

12th place, but presumably she will be

coming into the pits. Um over the lead

then it is Nina Gman and here comes Maya

down the inside again trying to get past

Lloyd Lloyd very aware and just holding

that position. This is good racing

between these two and remember they both

need as many points as possible trying

to fight with Dorian Pan who's actually

just up ahead of them. We know it's hard

to follow here. So Maya doing everything

she can to try and get past in these

early laps just before everything starts

to settle down. Remember no DRS of

course on these F1 Academy cars. No push

to pass as side by side in uh the

background there between couple of the

drivers. So they all have to do it

purely with getting a good exit, putting

their rival under pressure, trying to

force that mistake. And it looks like

Alicia's lost a little bit of pace from

this top six group. She's under a bit of

pressure and that looks like there's a

board. So, someone went wide.

Tina Houseman's dropped right down. So,

something's happened to Tina Houseman.

We got a yellow flag there. She's hit

the barrier. Or was that herself? Was

there contact before? We don't know.

Hopefully, we'll get a replay. But Tina

Houseman, who started on the front row,

made a a reasonably good start. Not as

good as Nina Gademan, but she is out of

the race.

Yes, I think that would have been a

mistake at turn eight. There's a big

compression. We've been talking about it

over the course of the weekend and it

really can throw any car whether you're

talking about an F1 Academy car or a

Formula 1 car can really throw and from

her reaction there I would probably say

that's a driver error puts her steering

wheel back on which they have to do and

there's a yeah not some damage we've

seen worse damage for sure at that

corner before but uh huge frustration of

course she was looking not just for her

first podium in F1 Academy but trying

hunt down her first win.

Yeah, that is I do feel for Tina

Houseman and of course teammates Anina

Gman who is leading. There's only three

points difference between them actually.

Funny enough, Tina Houseman seventh in

the championship and Nina Gman eighth

with just a three-point gap before this

race, but that obviously will change. We

we don't know whether Nina Gman's going

to win this race or not, but 10 points

for the win in the reserve reserve top

eight or reverse rather uh top eight

race. So, Gman currently leading, but of

course under safety car. They'll all be

absolutely together again once they get

racing once again. Let's have a look at

the start once again here, Alice. And

that great start by Nina Gman.

And initially it wasn't a great launch

actually from Leah Block. Oh, and was

there contact there, Ben, between Ella

Lloyd and Khloe Chambers? And down the

inside, around the outside, should I say

bravely was Leah Block after, like I

said, not a great getaway. And then

there was a bit of hip and shoulder

between Khloe Chambers and Dorian Pan.

So I wonder if there's been any

complaints at all on the radio. Mayberg

was having a look, took that tighter

line. Here we go on board.

Yeah, this is interesting because this

is Dorian Pan.

Level pegging on the exit and I think

you could probably argue that maybe

Chloe Chambers was uh expected to have a

little bit more space on the on the

outside there.

Yeah, that is an interesting one. Let's

listen.

Should we report anything, Chloe? Let us

know if we need to report something.

Oh, yeah. She pushed me off the track.

What do you mean? What do we have to

report?

Well, they probably hadn't seen it until

now.

Yeah, the screens on the pit wall are

quite small. So, it'd be hard for for

the team to say that, but clear

frustration. And here is what happened

to to Tina. And there's that compression

there. And

I'm so sorry. I don't know. I'm so

stupid. So, she's hit

she's hit that compression that we

talked about at turn eight.

And that exit curve, it doesn't look

aggressive, but majority of these

singles cars will bottom out on that

exit curve. And once you are on that

curb, it just drags you out and then

you're a passenger, particularly on wet

grass. The grass will still be wet from

uh the this morning's rain and uh the

Marshall picking up the the boards and

uh putting them to a safe spot. And the

Marshalls doing a great job as always.

Interestingly enough, the fastest lap so

far has been set by Esme Costerman who

who had to start from the pit lane. Um,

so she's in 16th place and of course now

they're under safety cuff. She will be

in the queue having started from the pit

lane. She has set a good lap. So we will

keep an eye on Estee Costan to see how

she gets on. Remember this is the first

time she's raced in F1 Academy. Uh she

has raced in British Formula 4, F4 and

uh she finished 11th at Silverstone

earlier this year, but it's a good

opportunity for her. She did a decent

job in qualifying. We'll have to see

whether she can be the first wildcard

entry to actually get points this year.

So drivers keep trying to maintain that

tire temperature. Let's have a little

look to see uh how the cleanup is going.

So still ongoing down or is it? No, I

think uh I think the cleanup's done. So

potentially we may see safety car in

this lap. We'll have a little look. And

there we go. The message comes up on our

timing screen here in the commentary

box. Safety car in this lap. So Nina

Gaiman will back up the field. Best to

try and leave it as late as possible

here because you've got that long run.

It's flat out essentially from turn 13

all the way through 14 and then down

that long run down that main straight.

Now keep an eye on the third placed car,

the Mercedesbacked car of Dorian Pam

because she is the series leader and

she's in a good place because she's in

third position. She's ahead of her main

competitors in the championship. Khloe

Chambers is down in seventh place. Maya

Ver is in fifth, but we could see some

changes on the restart here. But for

Dorian Pa, she'll be very happy to be

where she is right now. You're on board

with her right now. So she's the serious

leader. Can she also gain a few more

points? Here we go. So, as you said, as

they come up through the last two

corners, that's where Nina Gman floors

it. She's accelerating away. Leah Block

in second place with the Williams

backing and third place. As I say,

Dorian Pan looking for some more points,

but Ella Lloyd under pressure again from

Maya Ver, the Ferrari backed Maya Verde

and the McLaren backed Ella Lloyd on the

inside or just about making it through,

but Maya hasn't given up yet. No, she

gets forced onto the curb slightly

there. Eloid under all heaps of

pressure. Amaya knows she's got to try

and clear Ella Lloyd to give herself any

chance of getting up to Dorian Pan who's

made a mistake. She's had a wobble. This

is going to allow Lloyd through and

she's going to be under all sorts of

pressure from Maya.

Yeah. Now this is interesting because

Maya and Dorian Pan have been the two

sort of front runners in the

championship mainly this year and this

is going to be for Maya such an

important thing for her to try and get

past that Mercedes car. So, Ferrari

versus Mercedes, that's what we're

looking at here. And it's important in

terms of the points up front. I have to

say, Nina Gman is still doing an

excellent job. Leading from that pole

position, uh, being the eighth fastest

in qualifying, but she's easing away a

little bit again from Leah Block.

She is. And all under pressure still is

Dorian Pan. And I just want to point out

in the background, Ela Len started in

14th. She's made her way up into the top

nine. Emma Felber is in eighth place

there. Dorian on the defense at the

moment. Remember Dorian and Khloe

Chambers. That incident between the two

of them at the first corner is still

under investigation. It's being noted as

the they filter through now and Ella

Lloyd is putting Leah Block under some

pressure.

That's a good point about Ala Lson.

You're absolutely right. Up into ninth

place. It's the number 12 car. Um Tommy

Hilfiger backing and that is great

because she has a very consistent run

this year. She scored points in seven

out of the eight races. Now remember

this reverse top eight. You've got to

get uh into the top eight to get points,

but she's in a good position now. Dorian

Pan still defending Euro ball with Maya

Berg right behind Dorian Pan. Two major

contenders for the title this year. The

car ahead has the advantage. Well,

Dorian has the advantage in terms of

points. But what Oh, this is an

interesting little attempt down the

inside. Yeah, it doesn't quite work.

No. And I think soon that's actually

compromised. Smugg I was just about to

say soon she's going to be attacking and

defending at the same time and uh she's

going to be defending slightly earlier

than she would have liked. She's she had

to go for it. So let's let's see on

riding on board with Dorian Pan. She's

going to go into turn three and maybe

just a bit too hot. Carried a bit too

much speed and Elody said, "Yeah, well

thank you very much." Sails on through.

Here's the outboard shot. And you can

see whacked the lock on ram wide and it

is slippy up there. You don't want to

run too high. Certainly don't want to

risk it at all. That'll be track limits

as well, which we saw Alicia Pomovski

had a lap time taken away for her during

qualifying for running too high up.

So, it's still Nina Gman who has the

lead of this race. We're on lap six out

of 17 and the Alpinebacked Dutch racer

Nina Gman doing a fine job at this stage

leading from LeBlanc in second place who

could still be on for her best result in

F1 Academy. Ella Lloyd in a strong third

place with those consistent podium

finishes last time out in Canada. Dorian

Pan still under pressure of course from

Maya Ver went for that move. Didn't

quite work. She now has eased away a

little bit from Alicia Palmoski. So I

think Maya Ver will be on the attack

once again. Let's see. Is she going to

have a go into turn one? She's having a

little look. Oh, little lock up from

Dorian. But actually that was just a the

right front. Not a major problem.

No, it's not. And Meer's pace is looking

particularly strong. It is hard to

overtake round here. Ella Lloyd is you

could say essentially backing them up

ever so slightly. She's at 9/10 is the

gap as they went across the line to Leah

Block. And there side by side. You can

just see Mber's alongside Dorian Pan.

This is going to be brave stuff if

they're going to head side by side into

one of the fastest corners of the track.

And they don't have to. She's through

already.

Wow. That's an unusual place to

overtake. That was beautifully done by

Maya Verd. And Dorian Pam in a way

sensible because she's got a comfortable

points lead. She can't afford to take

too many risks and not get any points.

And if you you're up against someone who

really goes for it. Now in the meantime,

Khloe Chambers gets past Alicia

Palmoski. More teammates racing hard

against each other. Can Paloski come

back? I don't think so. Chloe Chambers

has done that well.

She has. But again, Khloe Chambers needs

to try and move forward because she's

still in the championship battle. She's

going to be on the defensive now if they

run into turn 11. He's only 20 points

behind Dorian Pan. 35 points Maya Ver is

behind uh the leader Pan. So definitely

need to try and move forward and and

Dorian like she's very good at staying

out of trouble and that's why she's

leading the championship. She's scored

points in every single race this so far

this season.

Interestingly, Nina Gateman with that

lead of just over a second from Leah

Block. She has set fastest lap in this

race so far at 137.6 six and uh yeah

that's another good lap she's just done.

So the gap is remaining about a second

to Leah Blockin in that second place.

Ella Lloyd still in third but now Maya

Ver up into fourth and Mayaver will be

pushing on because she needs the points.

She was so unlucky in Canada scoring

very few points because of her technical

problems with the car. And here she goes

down the inside into turn three which is

as we've seen it's a tricky place to try

and overtake. But now it's on exit where

perhaps she can try and put the pressure

on Eloy. This was where she made the

move on Dorian Pam, but it's not going

to happen this time.

It's not. No. And uh that gap looks like

that's come down at the front. Uh Leah

Block is starting to settle in during

this race and has uh really done an

electric first sector. Ella Lloyd just

snaking with the rear of the car there

as she enters into where we saw the race

ending for Tina Houseman. And all over

the back is Maya Berg. She's looking so

feisty at the moment. She's sent uh

Elody on the defensive. She's going to

back her up in the middle of the corner

and get a great exit. Yes, she does.

So, that might give her a little bit of

breathing space as she goes into turn

11. She might not have to bother

defending, but she feels like she does.

And that's brought Dorian Pan. And now

look behind Chambers into the mix as

well.

This is close. Now, Maya has got good

history here at Zambort. She is a Dutch

racer. As I said, she finished second

and third here last year when F1 Academy

was racing. She's with the MD Motorsport

team, which is based in the Netherlands.

So, this is such a a a key event for her

and particularly when she's trying to

close up that gap in the points to

Dorian Pam. But, as you say, Dorian's

getting closer as they all try and get

past Ella Lloyd. Number 20, Ella Lloyd

in the McLaren back machine is Oh,

putting the pressure. He had to go very

tight. Is she can he go down the inside?

Ella keeps it wide. This could be an

opportunity for Maya Bird. Oh, nearly

touching once again. For a moment, she's

in third place. She now has the inside

line and she should be able to hold on

to it. Yes, she's got it. Mayberg says,

"Who said you can't overtake round

down." Great move from her. She was

brave. She was forced towards the pit

wall by Ella Lloyd. Really getting her

elbows out when she knows she has to.

And I think Ben, she's going to have the

pace to charge down. And Dorian Pan's

under immense pressure now as we go into

turn eight. Down the inside goes Khloe

Chambers. That's brave stuff. They made

contact at turn one on the first lap,

but Khloe Chambers, is she going to keep

the inside there at turn eight? She

does. Nice stuff. Very impressive. And

by the way, I've just seen coming up on

our screens that no further

investigation in that incident that

happened on the opening lap, but Dorian

Pan has now lost the place once again to

Khloe James. Now suddenly I was talking

about Dorian Pan being in a great

position earlier on in third place where

she was going to score points and be

scoring more points than her main rivals

but that of course has now changed. Her

main rivals Maya Ver is now up into

third place. Khloe Chambers has just

gone ahead into fifth and Dorian. There

you are looking at her. She's now down

in sixth place. She's coming under a bit

of pressure as well from behind from

Alicia Paloski. Emma Felder is behind

her as well. And then we saw that Alson

not far behind having made that good

opening part.

Yeah, she's got a black and an orange

flag. That's a mechanical flag. So, I

don't know whether she's got something a

bit of damage on the car maybe from her

front wing. Let's have a look if we can

see in the background of the shot there.

And uh could be something else that's

maybe hanging off the car from uh from a

bit of contact. But Maya Berg has set

the fastest last sector of anybody. So

she's char going to charge down Leah

Block and Ella Lloyd is still struggling

out there. She's having now to put on

the defensive to uh Khloe Chambers and

Dorian Pan who's another driver that's

struggling. She's now on the defensive

from Alicia Tomoski.

Very very interesting isn't it to see

how this goes. Nina Gateman is still

doing this great job of leading the race

as she did in China earlier this year

only for the car to go wrong. Leah Block

is keeping the pressure on no doubt and

behind them Mayerberg will try and close

up. Be interesting to see if we see

fastest laps now from Mayberg. Now she's

got a bit of clear air in front of her.

Meanwhile, there you are looking at Ella

Lloyd who went very well here at Xanhort

earlier this year for British F4, but

she's struggling a little bit. She

doesn't seem to have quite the pace and

Chloe Chambers is putting her under a

lot of pressure. You're on board with

Alicia Talmoski, another British driver

who is now trying to get past the French

racer Dorian Pan who is still of course

leading in the points comfortably. Let's

have a little look back at Aurelia

Nobel's coming down into turn one and oh

that was a late break. A bit of a lock

up thankfully. Didn't run too wide

though. Did she squeeze on the exit?

Looks like it's going to be pretty close

between the two art drivers and just

about enough room I would say maybe on

the the outside there. But another place

grained and you can see the the flag

just in the background there actually

and I think Albalson has just come into

the pit. So that's a big shame for her

cuz she made some good places but that

has promoted Habrada up into the top

nine. She was 10th this if she keeps

this up. This will be her best finish in

F1 Academy so far this season. Okay,

well, let's keep an eye on that. I do

feel for Larsson. They're changing the

front wing there on her car. And yes,

it's going to be virtually impossible,

of course, to score any points as a

result of this. They're still doing a

little bit of work, checking the front

suspension by the look of it.

Yes, she was a bit uh bit too keen

trying to to get away there, moving

whilst the mechanics were still making

those final attachments to the the front

wing. Looking at these sectors now, uh

it looks like Maya Berg fastest of

anybody in that first sector. And of

course, Ben, we've got a a race control

notice on screen as well.

Yeah. So, Larsson, as we've seen the

damage, there was contact with Chong,

Chloe Chong, and that is being uh looked

at a bit more detail now. So, Elloid,

you're looking at the number 20 car, the

McLaren back machine of Lloyd in fourth

place being chased by Khloe Chambers.

Dorian Pan is still behind them in sixth

place. Fastest lap, by the way, now has

gone to Maya Berg who is setting fastest

sector times as she tries to close that

gap up to the top two. And that's

absolutely vital for her to score as

many points as possible. Maya Ver will

be starting from pole position tomorrow,

but how many points can she get today in

the reverse grid race? That's what it's

all about for her. She's doing well up

into third. Certainly a podium finish,

but maybe she can get even further.

You're looking at the race leader there,

Nina Gateman leading the way from

Leblanc in second place. Then Ver, then

it's Eloy from Khloe Chambers, then

Dorian Pam, Pamoski and Felmay. Then

let's have a little look back. Um Nicole

Hava doing a pretty good job up into

ninth place. Raphaela Ferrer ahead of

Aurelian Nobles and then Courtney Cone

under pressure now from Esme

Costermanman. So Costman who had to

start from the pit lane. Um it says

started ninth, but of course actually

she had to start from the pit lane. It's

got herself up into 13th position. A bit

of a way from scoring points of course.

More possible for her to do that

tomorrow as long as she gets off the

line. Okay. But let's stay on board

Chloe Chambers for now because Chloe is

still trying to find a way past Ella

Lloyd and and we know Chloe can be very

very effective when it comes to

overtaking.

She certainly can and she's oh you could

just see got in the dirty air of Lloyd

is pressure on her and find the right

moment

and that's the difficult part finding

the right moment keeping that pressure

on and trying to find a way past and you

can see she's right up to the back. You

see Elloy snaking on on the throttle

there. It's a difficult place to pass on

the outside of turn 11, but she's having

a look down the inside. She's going to

try it round the outside. I expected

that was never going to work there as

Eloise is wise to it, but under great

pressure. This has allowed Dorian Pan to

catch up again on the back of this pack.

And uh it's 3.4 seconds now the gap

between Ella Lloyd and Mayerberg who is

actually closing rapidly on the top two.

You're right. She is. She is setting

some good lap times at the moment, but

you're on board with Khloe Chambers as

she now still finds to try and find a

way to get into fourth position. Here

comes Khloe Chambers, currently second

in the points, but she needs to move up

and get a few more if possible. Mind

you, Lloyd also proving her abilities

this year in F1 Academy. She's doing a

good job. And once again, she's holding

them off, not doing anything silly, just

making sure she's positioning the car

correctly. But they are all closing up

to her again just a little bit. Maya

Verk has managed to escape from this

battle. And Ver now just 1.4 seconds

behind Leah Block. It's still Nina Gman

from that pole position having been the

eighth fastest qualifier who's still on

target. You remember it's Nina Gman's

birthday today. Can she really hold on

her birthday to take a victory? We've

only ever seen that twice in the Formula

1 world. Sha Lacy and James Hunt. They

both did it on their birthday, taking an

F1 win. But let's see whether it can

happen in F1 Academy.

Oh, and that was that a slight contact

as we cut to them there at turn nine.

And uh Chloe Chambers desperately trying

to find a way through. Ella Lloyd's

really having to get her elbows out

here. Got a podium in British F4 a

couple of months ago and she's going to

have a little bit of breathing space

into turn 11. And it's vital to get your

clean exit through 12. This is turn 12.

and then more importantly get a real

nice clean exit through the exit of turn

13. We're going to catch a replay. So

heading here going to hit that

compression there and Ella was slightly

wide of the apex at turn eight and

Chambers thought I'm going to give it a

go and just

that's lucky that not to for both of

them to to turn round spin round there

and our wild driver cost down the inside

has a small luck up but she manages to

to get the place. So great stuff.

Yeah, that's impressive. Essman has now

got herself up into 12th place. Um, so

still outside the points, but that is

impressive having started from the pit

lane as we focus here on Ella Lloyd

who's being chased by Khloe Chambers and

then Dorian Pan. Meanwhile, up front,

Nina Gayen still has the advantage, not

by much by 7/10 of a second from Leah

Block, but it's Leah Block who's likely

to be coming under pressure fairly soon

from Maya Ver. The gap 1.2 2 seconds.

We've still got a few laps to go. And of

course, do remember if we get a late

safety car and they all close up again,

then that can make some big big changes

in the final lap. But right now,

everyone is in their particular

positions and they're trying to make the

most of what they can do. And Eloid

obviously wants to hold on to that

fourth place if she possibly can, but

Chloe Chambers is trying all sorts of

things. I'm so pleased they didn't

actually take each other off just now.

No, that was very relieving to see that.

Just having a look. So that's been

noted. That collision has been noted

between these two drivers on screen. But

having a look at the sector times that

Nina Gabin's not as strong as the other

two that are chasing her down in the

first sector, but is stronger

particularly over Leah Block in that

middle sector. So we see the time keep

going up and down between the top two at

least. And look, Mayberg now is 8/10 of

a second away from Lea Block. And you

can see on screen there, all three of

our drivers in the in the top three are

on the same page.

I think Leah must have made a little

mistake in the middle sector there

because she had a little bit of a slow

time in the in the middle sector and

that has, as you say, allowed Maya Verb

to get much much closer. So, we could be

on for a battle for second place as well

as this ongoing battle for fourth. Um,

now let's just have a look. This is on

board with Alicia Palmovski a moment ago

going through the famous off turn three.

Oh my goodness. She got away with that.

But uh that is that could easily have

gone horribly wrong. Dorian Pan was wide

enough, but she went even wider.

She did. And it's so bumpy on the exit

of turn three. But unfortunately, you

just have to brave it and ride the bump.

And a bit too much there for Alicia

Palmovski, who uh managed to keep the

pace from Ember Felder, but uh is under

a bit more pressure than she would have

liked now as Dorian Pan.

Yeah, absolutely. Give everything.

She is still trying, but she's got to

try and hold on to what could be a

second place, which would of course be

her best ever result, be her first

podium. But Maya Ver, who is a real

challenger and has done extremely well

this year with a victory and several

podiums just last time out in Canada

where the technical issue cost her so

many points. Just having a look back at

Aurelia Nobel's again as she got done

another late lunge down the inside. Oh,

that that was a late one and Ferrer saw

her coming. So, uh, gave her racing room

on the inside. I think if she didn't,

that would have certainly ended an

incident. But, uh,

yeah,

Nobles has done a great job starting

towards the back of the grid, of course,

cuz she went off in qualifying. And down

the inside goes May. Does she get it

stopped? She does. Leah Block's given

her the space. Be interested to see what

Leah Block does here cuz again, she's

chasing her first podium in F1 Academy.

She won't want to get into too much of a

scrap and maybe be forced off wide, but

of course she does want to get that

second place trophy. And who knows if

something happens up the front with Nina

Gman, she could potentially inherit the

win. Absolutely. This is a fast amazing

battle between Leia Blanc and Maya Ver.

And of course, this is allowing Nina

Gman, as you said, to to to get that gap

a little bit further away. She drives

for the Premma team which leads the uh

team's series at the moment quite

comfortably. They have 27 points

advantage coming into this event over

Campos and uh it does look as though

they're going to be scoring very very

well again. Team viewer saying that

Mayor Dent is going to be uh waving the

flag when we're getting the checkered

flag out coming out fairly soon but not

quite just yet as they come through one

more time and Gateman there. Look at

this. Maya Ver really really putting the

pressure on.

Yeah, she's filling the mirrors of Leah

Block trying to snake from one way to

the other. Just trying to desperately

put her off. She's going to have one

more lap to try and get past and she

needs to get a good exit to give her any

hope of trying to attack down into turn

one. But a very good exit in front from

Leah Block. Of course, the gap now has

opened up at the front with Lear doing a

these two doing a slower lap time, but

you can see how effective the toe is.

She's going to have a look down the

inside. Is she Ben? No. Thinks better of

it.

Yeah, that was interesting. She decided

not to have a go. She obviously thought

she wanted to carry the speed. We did

see her doing a very impressive move

later on after turn three. Now, you're

coming up to turn three now. Of course,

the banking on Ray, you go right around

the outside here. And she pulled off a

surprise performance, but I have to say

Leah Block's done that well. She was

quick there around the outside. And I

don't think Berg is going to be close

enough to challenge coming down this

section, turns 45, five, six. But maybe

there will be one more chance. But we

are on the last lap and Nina Gateman

looking for her first win in F1 Academy.

And it's on her birthday. This is of

what? Such a chance. It's her She'll be

She is 22 today. Is she going to be able

to take her first win on her birthday?

The gap is opened up because these two

are battling so close. And again, May

has a look up the inside. Leah Block a

little bit wide there, but she's just

about hanging on. She is, but she's

going to have to be on the defensive

down into 11. You saw Mber trying to get

a great exit, and she did. There's going

to be no way around the outside there.

And that could be it. Unless a mistake

potentially from Leo Block heading into

the final corner. She's going to be

forced to defend. It's going to be brave

from Ivor to go around the outside. But

unless she gets the stellar exit and

gets that drag run to the line, but it's

going to be Nina Gman that's going to

get her first win in F1 Academy. Ben,

this is fantastic. Nina Gman making her

way down towards the checker flag. It's

the Dutch racer on her birthday. Nina

Gateman who wins round 10 of F1 Academy.

Across the line in second place goes

Leah Block. That's her best result.

First podium in F1 Academy and third

place for Maya Ver. A vital good point

score for Maya as she tries to chase

Dorian Pan in the championship. So

behind them, Ella Lloyd held on to that

fourth. That was clever driving by Lloyd

to hold on to fourth and Khloe Chambers

in fifth. Dorian Pan in sixth, still

scoring points. Of course, this is the

reverse race. And so for finishing in

sixth, you only score three points, but

the winner scores 10 points. So that's

really good for Nina Gademan and and

well done to her on a birthday. That is

fabulous,

brother. Good drive. Let's go. First

win.

Oh my god, mate. How did we go from

being declared upset to this? Oh my god.

We just such a big thing. Oh my god.

And it was. And I do feel she deserves

it after she led so much in China at the

beginning of the year and then they had

a problem with the car. Uh it's so good

that it came together and she was very

consistent all the way through that

race. Leah Block was doing a good job of

chasing her but then of course towards

the end Leah had to defend that second

position but still a great result for

Leah Block as well because she's so

shown great talent but hasn't really had

the result down in 10th place in the

points coming into this race. This will

help her but May excellent in third. She

started in eighth. Let's not forget

that's big points.

First career podium finish in her 23rd

F1 Academy start for Leah Block and the

eighth different driver to finish on the

podium this season. And so well done to

her and Maya Verg. It's her first podium

finish, would you believe, since winning

in Jedha back in April and uh that's I

think that's an important podium for her

as well.

It is very important. You're absolutely

right. Ella Lloyd missing out on the

podium this time after consistently

being on the podium last time out in

Canada, but nonetheless still scoring

some useful points in fourth place. And

Ella of course will be one of the front

runners tomorrow because Maya Ver will

start from pole. Alicia Palmoski will

start from second and Ella will start

from third place. But that was a really

interesting race and well done by Nina

Gademan. That was very effective.

Thank you so much team. We worked so

hard for this. I'm so happy we finally

got it down.

Brava. Super proud of you.

Yeah, they are very proud of her and

because you never quite know because if

you qualify eighth, it's very rare um

that necessarily the person that starts

from pole having qualified eighth does

go on to win. But that's exactly what

she has done this time. She has and uh

points make prizes and after especially

for Maya a difficult weekend in

Montreal, this is exactly what she

needed. She was looking racy but well

done Nina Gator. High fives between her

and Prema and it's an Alpinebacked car

that wins race one once again here at

Zanvort in F1 Academy and a big cheer

from her home crowd and hugs all around.

Yeah, this is really really lovely to

see how Nina Gman in particular as we

weren't sure um she was going to be

racing today because there was a little

bit of a problem yesterday uh a physical

problem but she's dealt with that really

well and she has taken victory on her

birthday. It's just remarkable. Uh and

Maya Ver of course doing a great job and

congratulating her as well. But yes,

Maya Ver scoring some very very useful

points. So Dorian Pamp is still very

much the points leader, but Khloe

Chambers and Maver have both managed to

close the gap up a little bit. Um 19

points now, the gap between P and

Chambers. And Maya, yeah, she's still

quite some way off Khloe Chambers

because of what happened to her last

time out in Canada. But she's just going

to give everything she can for Premer

Racing of course with another victory

for a team driver in this case in Nina

Gman. They've opened up their lead in

the team's points. They're on 191 versus

Campus on 157. So yeah, all interesting

at this stage, but you have to say

Dorian Pan is still in a good position

and she will be starting down in fifth

place tomorrow. So tomorrow's race will

be important for Dorian Pan when they

will of course be looking for 25 points

for the race victory.

Certainly will. And you can see drivers

have to get down there, weigh

themselves, and they'll take that weight

and then weigh the cars once the cars

are back in the F1 Academy paddock.

They'll add the weights together to see

if you're over the weight or under the

weight. If you're under the weight, of

course, that means an exclusion, but

posing down by the number one board.

Exciting rate F1 race and F1 Academy

delivers once again.

Her home race, too. Isn't it lovely? You

know, she's a Dutch racer. Um, and to do

this, get her first win at a home event,

this is really, really lovely. And, uh,

yeah, for Nina Gateman, I think this is

going to be one of her most special

moments, of course, the 22-year-old

celebrating that today. And, uh, she

raced carts from when she was 18 years

old, and she's also, of course, gone

into single-seater racing over the last

few years, but this is a great result

for her. No doubt about it.

And uh we shall get to hear from her in

just a few moments time. And it's Ariana

Bravo who is going to be talking to our

race winner here at Zan.

Nina, congratulations. Your first F1

Academy win and to get it here in front

of your home crowd. You're being cheered

as your team drive past here. What a way

to celebrate your birthday. How special

does this one feel?

Well, it's al it's special for a lot of

reasons. Obviously, it's my home race.

Last year, I was so close to the podium

as a wild card and then to win next year

exactly a year later. It's just crazy.

We've missed out twice on the win due to

mechanical issues and I mean yesterday I

was declared unfit and now I'm I'm a

race winner. So, it's crazy. It's been a

crazy 24 hours really.

What an incredible bounce back from you.

And in that race, you were under

pressure throughout the whole race from

Leah, but you managed to stay cool,

calm, and collected. Just talk us

through how it was in the car.

Well, the start was quite easy and

adapting from this morning to today. I

thought it would be a struggle as I

missed out on FP2 and on the important

dry running, but in the end it was

actually quite easy at the start and I

know at the start I I can drive as I

want to without the injury having a lot

of influence. So, um, then I'm really

fast and then had enough becking for the

end of the, yeah, the last few laps to,

uh, take it a little bit more with ease.

And do you have any final words for all

of the home crowd here who are cheering

you on?

Well, I know my mom's somewhere in the

crowd. I just want to say, "Mom, I

really love you and I I I really want to

see you later."

And any words in Dutch?

very very important just seeing as she

because Leah Block was busy defending

because the American racer, she's had

some good performances but not quite had

a a result like this before and the fact

that she was able to hold on and defend

all the way through. Her late father Ken

Block would have been very very proud of

but I saw such a big gap. I was like,

"Okay, this laps I have to be slow."

I saw you going for the overtake once

into T1, right?

I I tried in T1 and but it was

optimistic. I was never going to make

it. I was just hoping you did something.

I was like, I hope she doesn't let off

the brakes cuz I'm turning in.

that's how I got past almost everyone

like just sending it without

It's weird. I placed over crest in the

middle.

Yeah, exactly. It's horrible

because you can't like

Well, apologies if there's any

unsuitable language, but actually I

thought they all spoke very well most of

the time there discussing how that race

had gone. Um, and sometimes of course in

a race that's very hard fought. You

don't get much language between them,

but that was actually quite fun to

listen to. Susie Wolf of course running

F1 Academy and I think she'll be very

happy with the way it has gone today.

Um, and especially seeing that Nina Gman

was able to take her first win at her

home event. Fabulous stuff. But also

seeing how Maya Verde was attacking

coming up from eighth place, driving for

the MP Motorsport team, uh, who is a

Dutch based team of course and and let's

see how they get on tomorrow when Maya

will be starting from that allimportant

pole position. Let's enjoy the podium

from the reverse grid race as they head

on out now to be celebrated by those

Dutch fans. There's Dutch racer Mayurg

finishing in third place. And then the

American Leah Block celebrating her best

ever result in F1 Academy so far and

doing a superb job of keeping Mayver

behind her. Well done to Leah Block

finishing in second place with the

Williams backup. So you got Ferrari

colors, Williams colors, but the race

winner, Nina Gman, taking the victory

with the Alpine colors, driving for the

Premma team and celebrating her

Oh, the emotion from Nina Gman taking

the win at her home event. Very, very

emotional. And of course, it's like Max

Vstappen taking many wins here at

Zanvault in the past. Now, Mina Gademan

as a Dutch racer has managed to do it at

a home event in F1 Academy, which is a

junior level, but it's still a

significant level to take victories and

try and establish your career going

forward. Maya Verd, great job by her as

well. Support from Ferrari, of course,

and we will be looking forward to more

of this action in the race tomorrow when

there are even more points to offer. But

many, many congratulations to all three

of them. And she's lost her rivals now.

She has. But there we go. She won't

mind. She'll still uh spray the

champagne and uh as she waits for I'll

have to have a photo on the top step of

the podium. Let's see if they do come

back. But uh great racing as always here

in F1 Academy. As you said, Ben, great

to have Williams back on the podium on

an F1 podium and their first one in F1

Academy and Alpine's first win since Abu

Dhabi last year when Abby Abby Pulling

took SEC took the win in the second race

in Abu Dhabi as Jamie Chadwick who works

very closely with Williams and

particularly with F1 Academy and Leah

Block. Great to see her down there

giving her support. But Maya Ver, she's

going to hope that she's going to hear

that national anthem again and it's

going to be for her tomorrow. Tricky

conditions expected.

And uh big smiles and a fantastic

trophies they get in F1 Academy and a

big smile as expected from Lena Gman.

as you say, we are thinking it's going

to be a wet race tomorrow. So that could

be a very, very challenging race. So I

Houseman are all bit out of luck. But it

was a very, very enjoyable event.

So we have a new winner in F1 Academy,

but tomorrow Maya Ver is looking for

maximum points to try and close up the

gap a bit further to Dorian Pan. Pan is

still the championship leader, but will

she be after tomorrow? It's likely, but
