"Young Blood"

"A Film by Rodolfo Palacios"

Faced with the demand for blood

which is higher worldwide due to the acceptance of the new race,

scientists have developed an artificial blood product

which has the ability to feed the new race

without the need to drain bodies.

It is said that there is a record of this species from ancient Egypt.

Hello.

Do you already know where the package is?

It is in a closed area on Taxco Street.

The house is marked and has a very deteriorated entrance.

Now you know. I can't continue covering for you.

I hope this time you do take it easy.

When I have what they asked for, I'll bring it to you, OK?

Listen.

What mood is the doc in?

Very anxious.

We've been doing this for two years now.

It hasn't been easy to find the right guy.

I'm one hundred percent sure it's there.

OK.

I'll wait for news.

You might be wondering what the job is.

Money.

I suppose so.

Exactly.

It costs a lot of money, but it is better valued.

More valued than money, only one thing.

What?

My wild beast.

Don't fuck with me.

Ha, ha, ha, ha.

Don't fuck with me.

Artworks.

Jewelry.

What are we going to steal now?

Blood.

But not just any blood type.

Vampire blood.

Mmm.

Mmm.

And why is that blood so valuable?

Because it makes you younger.

Or is it a cure

if you are sick?

Who would buy that?

Almost anyone would buy it.

But not everyone can synthesize it.

However, I have a client.

He's a doctor.

It's good pay.

I heard something.

That makes your dick hard.

I'm going to give you a bottle.

Make it two, pretty.

Not even four makes you hard.

Calm down.

Take it easy.

Lower your voice.

How much is the payment this time?

When do we finish the mission?

That's not how I do the job.

I want the cash upfront.

Check your emails.

You are really going to pay us this amount of money?

It's a lot of money.

And what do we have to do to get that money?

Whatever.

Worth.

Tell us what it's about.

Some vampires live in the Roma neighborhood.

In old houses that the government gave to refugees.

One of them goes out at night to hunt human blood.

The youngest is left alone in the house,

waiting for the old man to bring him food.

That's the one we're interested in.

Young Blood, they call him.

OK.

It sounds easy, right?

Those of that species are very fast.

Even the youngest.

But they are not that strong.

We can control it.

Isn't it easier to go during the day?

This is how we found them asleep.

When they sleep, it is impossible to draw blood.

It has to be at night.

If we are well protected... We can.

We have to carry pure silver.

That immobilizes them.

It hurts them.

Exactly, that's it.

Do you see why I called you?

You know how to do your job.

Once we're inside,

we are going to split up

and let that thing look for us.

When it listens to us, its instinct will awaken.

And it's going to come after us.

We will be his bait.

It's supposed they can...

listen to the beating of hearts.

OK.

But if he attacks any of us,

we put a silver chain around his neck.

That's going to immobilize him.

Then we immobilize the legs and arms.

Once he is still, we draw the blood.

An artificial blood product has the ability

to feed the new race without the need to drain bodies.

In Mexico City and the other states...

You barely got up.

I was listening to the news.

What do they say?

They say many things... One of them...

that we should feed ourselves with artificial blood.

I'm going to the bar to see what I find.

There are so many people in the street.

It's clean blood.

It would be cheaper to buy artificial blood.

I'm going now.

Don't be late.

It's already out.

He is out.

Let's see.

We have six hours to find the thing.

Bardo, you go to the ground floor.

These houses are very old, be careful.

Ursula.

You go to the third floor.

There are narrow and dark hallways.

Marta.

You go to the second floor.

Please.

The house has electricity, find the switches.

I'll stay outside watching.

The first one to find something... send me a signal.

The thing

is going to find us.

Let's see, boss.

We are going to enter the house... unarmed.

Take this.

Distribute them.

What I just gave you

is to immobilize them.

What's the matter?

What are you doing?

It's to defend myself.

You're going to kill him, the blood is no longer useful.

Give me your knife.

Thanks, handsome.

The stake?

What am I going to do when I find the thing?

What do I tell him? Come and suck me?

What the hell.

Maybe something happens to someone.

But when you go hunting a lion...

it is likely to attack you.

But you're not going to kill him.

Silver is the most effective against vampires.

It immobilizes them.

It hurts them a little.

But it doesn't kill them.

OK?

Give it to me.

It better work.

Duckling.

OK.

And when he is immobilized...

how do we extract blood?

Do we call you or what?

Here I have everything for...

For...

Fucking dog cough.

He wants his pills... give them to him.

Hurry up.

What are you waiting for?

What do you see me? Get out.

No...

I take care of the locks inside.

Take care of the window.

Take it.

Three.

Four.

Four.

Five.

Six.

Seven.

Cat.

Here we separate, look around the house.

The first one to find it sends me a call.

Give me a Bloody Mary.

The bar is very lonely today.

It's still early.

Did you see the news?

No.

I haven't seen the news.

They are showing support in the polls.

In favor of vampire rights.

They must be altered.

People don't accept us yet.

We both feed on other species.

With the difference...

that we do not kill.

The government knows that synthetic blood is a business.

Are you waiting for anyone?

No.

Other?

The same drink.

Tell the girl I bought her a drink.

Do you know her?

She comes often...

she takes a few drinks...

then she goes with some man...

or with a girl.

My friend wants to buy you a drink.

Well...

I’ll finish this one and give me another.

Hello.

How horrible is this?

What is this?

Blood.

Gross.

Saint Cyprian...

pay attention.

Seven powers.

This is for me.

Saint Alejo...

to stop being stupid.

Saint Michael Archangel,

defend us in our fight.

Protect us against evil... and his demons.

And you...

who are you?

Bardo.

And you?

Karla.

No one enters a house without being invited.

People say this place was abandoned.

I have lived here for a long time.

I didn't know.

What do you want to steal?

They told me there was gold here.

Gold.

I like gold.

There may be gold here.

I only live here.

It's the same as when it arrived.

Help me look for the gold.

And we'll distribute it when we find it.

Could be.

But there is no rush.

Are we in a hurry?

Don't fuck with me.

What is this?

What the hell?

Who is that old man?

Fuck.

Where is there a bathroom?

This is not a bathroom.

Run fast!

No... Don't fuck.

What's up, Morena?

Where are you?

You will not believe me.

You no longer surprise me at all.

You are always in strange places.

I just peed in a ruined house.

And you want me to see your piss?

Of course.

What is that over there?

That?

I don't know.

A strange bed.

But... they are baric beds for athletes and...

people with blood diseases.

And if...

I tell you... it's a vampire's house?

I don't believe you, Martha.

Are you crazy?

Those people are dangerous.

What are you doing there?

I can't tell you that.

Besides...

I'm calling you for something else.

Are you going to play sexy in that place?

Come on... play with me.

Play along with me.

Being in a vampire's house is dangerous.

Martha.

I'm serious.

You went into the wolf's den.

I mean...

the vampire cave.

You keep watching football.

I will call you later.

Don't fuck with me, Marta.

Get out of there.

Fuck.

Give me a flirty drink.

Done.

I'm not counting your drinks,

but you have drunk twelve.

Is that a lot?

Well... yes.

But I think two things.

Which are?

The first, that... you don't get drunk.

It's like you drink only water.

And the second?

That you always order the same drink.

Does it have a secret ingredient?

What are you thinking?

I don't know...

blood.

Do you want to try the drink?

OK.

It tastes like tomato juice, vodka, and lemon.

This is how you prepare that drink.

Could you give me a cigarette, please?

Sure.

Thank you.

I think maybe...

ordering that drink is a signal to...

get synthetic blood.

I don't like synthetic blood.

But do you like blood?

What do you do?

You are a scort.

That's what people call us.

I like to think that I am... a businesswoman.

And how much do your services cost?

Do you have a pen?

Cash.

I may require your services, but...

you have to go with me to my house.

OK.

It's more money than you asked for.

But you have to leave your chain here.

I live a few blocks away.

Let's walk.

We usually go by car.

Alright.

The check.

Thank you.

Thanks.

Let's go.

Don't tease me.

They already screwed him.

What's that?

Pics.

What happened?

They grabbed Bardo.

Don't fuck with me.

What are you talking about?

He fucked Bardo.

They only left his jacket.

What crap, it's blood.

I told you.

They left something here.

Where would they take the body?

The body?

Do you think he's dead?

I don't think so.

There is almost no blood.

He must be there.

There is a trail of blood.

How did we get here?

How did we get here?

When the government gave us this house...

I explored it.

It has many useless things.

It has hidden passages.

They take you through the house.

And other longer ones...

that take you to other parts of the city.

I cannot move.

What did you do to me?

I tried to suck your blood.

But I couldn't drink it.

My species is sensitive to certain flavors.

Your blood...

it's dirty.

How do you know...

what blood is dirty...

and which one isn't?

By experience.

I can smell you.

And I know that your blood...

I don't like it.

What are you going to do with me?

Too many questions.

Nothing.

Don't worry.

When I can, I will leave you somewhere in the city.

You won't remember anything...

that happened here.

Come on, pull the door.

Firm.

One, two, three.

Pull it, it's stuck.

With a lot of force. Let me see.

We count to three.

One.

Two. Three.

Don't go there.

Nothing.

What do we do?

We don't have much time to find the thing and draw blood.

The one who left a while ago...

comes back in the morning.

We won't be able to do anything with him.

I saw some stairs on the third floor.

I'll see where they go.

Can I keep watch out here?

Alright?

OK.

I'll go to the first floor.

Everything is a mess.

Like the rest of the house.

But some workers came to fix it.

Here.

They are going to make a roof.

What's that?

A nice place.

A guy came before and lied to me.

He came to get my blood, like you.

Why, if a human drinks it... they get years of life.

This is not pure silver.

Whoever gave it to you lied to you.

You see how I was not wrong?

You want my blood.

You peed yourself.

Don't worry.

It won't hurt you.

Will there be electricity?

I knew it.

Don't fuck with me.

Fucking old things.

Let me see.

For this, I can get a lot of money.

Look.

They're bullshit.

Nothing bad.

These jewels are very lonely.

What the fuck?

Motherfucker... fucking dog.

Fucking old man.

What does this asshole want?

They already have my order.

Or I'm still waiting for your call.

What's up, Doc?

I don't have it yet.

I paid you in advance.

Why don't you have it yet?

Doctor...

Do you think it was easy to find the right one?

It's not just any blood type...

young blood is so rare.

We visited 40 places and 20 states.

But we already found the right place.

We are only looking for the subject.

I understand.

But I paid you two years ago...

and you swore you had it.

So we have a problem.

I have to fulfill my clients...

and have the plasma to make the rejuvenator.

Well...

it is now clear what everyone has to do.

Let me do my job.

Patricio...

it can't be any blood.

It cannot be contaminated.

If he smokes, takes drugs, or drinks alcohol...

his blood is dirty and of no use to us.

Look, Doctor...

calm down.

I'm sure he's a young blood.

I'm sure he doesn't do drugs... doesn't drink...

doesn't smoke...

His blood is not contaminated.

If you did your job well... then you know the guy.

I followed his trail...

for two years.

I am aware of his habits.

Don't worry.

It's young blood.

OK.

I hope it's not a common hunter...

and that you have done your job well.

Listen to me... ladies' doctor.

I know my job.

Specialized cosmetic surgeon... in cell regeneration.

That's me.

And it's something you can never understand.

I need what I asked for tomorrow.

How stubborn are you, Doctor?

I already told you I'm working on it.

I'll wait for you...

tomorrow in my office with young blood.

Otherwise, I get my money back.

Listen to me... you're not going to take anything back.

You heard me.

So be patient.

I say... when you get what you want.

Look, bastard, if I don't have it tomorrow...

I'll sink you and make... everyone know...

Fucking doctor.

Ursula.

Ursula.

Bardo.

Are you OK?

Ursula.

This way.

Where are you?

I'm at the bottom.

We came before.

There was only your jacket.

There was blood.

I cut myself with something.

My jacket was torn... and I left it there.

Where were you?

To search there.

The house is full of passages.

I got into one... and I got lost.

Are you cold?

Come, Ursula.

You have to see something.

The chain.

The chain? What?

You left it on the jacket.

Why did you leave it?

Ursula.

We were going so well.

Why did you have to ask that?

I am the owner of this house.

You cannot enter a house without an invitation.

You are a bloodsucker.

It's one of my characteristics...

but I wouldn't define myself like that.

So this is where you live.

You don't like the house?

It's a stereotypical vampire house.

With the law of coexistence between species...

the government gave houses on loan.

The government gave me this.

Am I going to visit the house of a vampire?

I don't remember what happened with my clients.

Only...

I wake up in a car...

or in the bathroom of some bar.

The only thing I have are the scars.

The ones I showed you.

Eating is something personal.

This type of bite is very effective.

You're not going to bleed to death.

Don't worry...

human eyes...

can't see the scars.

We are not going to enter.

I see nothing.

You arrived well.

And Martha?

She went up to track.

But she didn't come back.

I think the vampire already sucked her.

How do you know she's a vampire?

A real vampire.

It doesn't matter.

She didn't come back.

What are you doing here?

I found a secret passage.

It takes you to other rooms.

I heard a noise.

I looked out the window...

and it was you.

That's why I called you.

Take your hand out of the bag.

Help me search... where the bodies were taken.

Better tell me where you left them.

You realized very quickly.

Ursula doesn't talk much.

And she doesn't call your kind vampires.

She would never call them vampires.

I've been looking for you for a long time.

Two years exactly.

Are you sick?

There is a doctor...

who rejuvenates people with plasma.

When I got sick, I met him.

He tried his serum on me, and that gave me two years.

Two years looking for you.

How did you know there was young blood here?

The women your friend goes after...

for you to feed on...

they don't always forget.

You talked too much with them.

You told them that you are young blood.

You have never hunted.

There was.

What are you doing here?

The woman of your kind...

she brought me here.

She bit you?

Yes.

Yes.

What happened after?

She tested me.

She said my blood is dirty.

Her instinct was awakened.

Are you coming alone?

No.

Me... and three more.

What are you doing here?

We came for blood.

But not just anyone's.

They call it young blood.

One of the girls is dead.

The other one is on the roof.

Go for her.

Get out of here.

What will happen to me?

I'm not sure.

But if you're exposed to the sun...

it's going to burn you.

Did you already wake up?

You were right.

I'm sick.

They paid me a lot of money for your blood.

With a couple of drops I'll be fine.

I could make you eternal.

And become one of you...

never see the sun again, never eat...

not be a normal human...

No, thanks.

Coming soon...

sooner than you imagine...

my species will predominate...

We are evolving...

we are adapting to light and other things.

Did you see that?

I'm done.

I already have what I wanted, honey.

You just made me very rich.

Don't worry.

When you recover, I will be very far away.

You kill to feed yourself.

You eat other species.

We only feed ourselves.

And so...

It makes us stronger and stronger.

You were the strongest.

The young blood of the region.

The last one.

Don't worry.

With this...

you will reach eternal rest.

What's that?

Don't do it.

Motherfucker.

What did you do to her?

I put poison in it... that sends her to marry death.

Don't drink that.

You won't be cured.

You're not going to last forever.

Do you want to fool me?

Just like your idiot friend?

Look at her.

Look at her, you bastard!

Eternal is not seen.

Let it be clear, idiot...

nothing and no one is eternal.

Don't drink it.

If you drink it, you die.

We'll see.

I told you.

Oh, honey...

the intestines are starting to dissolve.

Your ears are going to hurt... your nose... your eyes.

You're going to foam at the mouth.

You are not going to die a millionaire...

and you don't have two more years.

You are not eternal.

We are.

You are no longer young blood.

I hope you never stop taking care of me.

Never.

Honey...

what's happening?

What are we going to do now?

I already said it before.

Our species is evolving...

and adapting to the environment.

And?

I'm tired of living in this ugly place.

We deserve better.

Do you have any plans?

Good afternoon.

The doctor is waiting for you.

Did you bring the samples?

Yes, they are here.

Thank you so much.

I hope these are real.

We have received many fake samples.
