seat and approaches a door, glancing

him.

He opens the door and steps inside,
closing the door.

Inside the motel room, Christopher peeks
through the closed window curtain, then

turns to the dresser.

He places a piece of luggage on the bed
and turns to a suitcase, opening it.

Inside the suitcase are several stacks
of money, identification, and a handgun.

He closes the suitcase.

I'm on my way now to pick you up.

Joanna sits in a dark living room.

He releases her, then backhands her.

Joanna sweeps his leg, dropping him. She
picks up the frying pan and swings.

Christopher dodges, then blocks the
frying pan away.

Christopher clutches Joanna's throat,
tossing her onto an empty sofa.

He pumps his fists as he strangles her.

Joanna extends her arms, attempting to
clutch Christopher's throat.

Then her arms fall slack.

Christopher lets go.

Joanna lays motionless on the sofa.

Christopher turns away from the sofa and
puts his hands on his knees, revealing

the gun in his pants.

Joanna snatches the gun and aims it at
Christopher.
