to the first assignment of the course,

and it's an email from your manager, Ethan T. Langer.

And Ethan says, "Hello, and welcome to the team.

We're excited that you'll be helping us develop

our new internal reports in Power BI.

Looks like you've already gotten started,

but we have some new data to add to the model.

Could you please create two new queries to connect

to the Product Category Lookup

and Product Subcategory Lookup files attached

and help with a few modifications to the product table?

Thanks. ETL."

All right, so for this assignment

we've got seven key objectives to work through.

We need to create queries to connect

to the two new CSV files.

We're gonna rename the queries Product Category Lookup

and Product Subcategory Lookup.

We'll confirm that the column headers have been promoted

We're gonna add a new column to extract all characters

before the dash in product SKU and name it SKU Type.

We're gonna update the SKU type calculation above

to return all characters before the second dash.

instead of the first,.

We're gonna replace zeros

in the Product Style column with NA,

and then we're gonna close and load our data model.
