Original subtitles

-: It's time to take this course across the finish line.

So up until this point,

we've really been focusing on building in Power BI,

but it's also important to understand

how to optimize your reports,

especially for data models that are larger and more complex.

So in this section, we're gonna preview some

of Power BI's native performance optimization tools,

and we'll also provide some tips and tricks

to help you keep your reports running smoothly.

In this preview section,

we're gonna spend a little time investigating some

of the different tools that are available to you

and can be used to optimize

and enhance your Power BI reports.

So throughout this section,

we'll cover a bunch of different topics

like the Optimize ribbon, why and how to pause visuals,

when to use optimization presets, how to create a button

to apply or clear all slicers at once,

the components and use cases for the Performance Analyzer,

and then finally, some of the different external tools

that are available for use within Power BI.

All right, so the main goals of this section,

it's really to get comfortable with the optimization ribbon

and its features to understand the different use cases

and applications for each of the tools,

explore Performance Analyzer

to visually understand your report performance,

and last but not least,

really just to understand that there are a variety

of different external tools available

that will help with everything

from semantic modeling to data analysis,

accessibility, performance, optimization,

and much, much more.

All right, let's get ready to dig in.
