=The Journey of Legend=

=Episode 26=

It hurts so much.

Are you okay?

It hurts.

You're always acting recklessly.

Your lightness skill is terrible. You asked for it.

Then next time...

Qiushui, look.

I found this in Sword King's hidden alcove in bedroom.

Sword King has the same Eagle Flute.

His conflict with Liu Suifeng is not

just about power struggles within the gang.

It must also relate to the North Wasteland.

By the way, look at these confidential letters.

Proceed cautiously. Avoid detection.

Follow your plan. Don't get noticed.

Good proposal, but wait longer.

What does this mean?

It looks like a foreign character.

I think no one in the Central Plains knows foreign characters.

Also look at these.

These characters aren't contemporary writing styles.

(Proceed cautiously. Avoid detection.)

(I almost missed this.)

(All characters I've seen here are traditional Chinese).

(Why does simplified Chinese appear here?)

(This English letter can't be a coincidence either.)

Sancai.

I have a wild guess.

Could someone else here share my experience?

Maybe there's another transmigrator.

Are you asking me?

Qiushui, how would I know?

I don't know either!

I'm being serious with you.

Then tell me. What's Sword King's real fate?

What kind of man is he?

Qu Hanshan remains loyal to Li Chenzhou and the Power Gang.

He will die for Li Chenzhou.

He will die for Li Chenzhou?

That's exactly the problem.

In my original story, he would never betray Li Chenzhou

and would die for Li Chenzhou.

This Eagle Flute is anomalous.

It's absent from both the original story and my outline.

Someone else must be altering the storylines.

Who could this person be?

On our side or against us?

We're exposed while that person is hidden.

If that person is on our side, why not show up?

It makes sense. You're sharp.

Following this logic,

since I came here, many things have deviated from the original story.

They might be deliberate alterations, not plot holes I perceived.

What about the Book of Oblivion in my family's stone coffin?

Qiushui, the Book of Oblivion should've been engraved here.

Someone intentionally erased it.

If my guess holds,

this man has learnt the Book of Oblivion and fears me acquiring it.

Clearly, he's hostile. He might be targeting me.

(Is this jade pendant yours?)

Yes. I'm Feng Lang with the Rain Sword.

I'm here to claim the Hero Token for the Power Gang.

You keep calling me Lucky Bag.

Are you satisfied with the fortune now?

He impersonated Feng Lang to make Sword King turn to Eagle Flute.

It actually benefits Liu Suifeng.

Liu Suifeng is the prime suspect.

But I can't think of anyone else.

There's someone else you can't evaluate,

because he's never appeared.

Li Chenzhou?

Exactly. He's extremely secretive,

pulling his strings in the dark.

Anyone can become his pawn.

Sancai, let me investigate this.

Xiao Mingming. No.

I should call you Xiao Qiushui.

We'll meet again soon.

(Sanjiu Hall)

This one.

Make new clothes.

This one is also good.

Is that so?

(Sanjiu Hall)

Mr. Zhu.

Hello, Mingzhu.

Is my tonic medicine completed?

Finally done.

These ingredients are rare.

It took days to get it done.

(Liver-Soothing Herb, Kunzhong Medicine) It's carefully prepared. Check it out.

Thank you.

Take care.

(Medicine King even dared to threaten Master Liu.)

(Who knows if he tampered with the medicine?)

(Only the medicine I prepare is safe.)

Xiao Qiushui!

The Power Gang specializes in backstabbing tactics.

I foolishly covered for you at Biechuan Temple.

It actually gave you another chance to attack Master Liu.

I should've killed you!

I'm so scared.

If you truly care about him...

(To Li Chenzhou, To Liu Suifeng)

Then take this to him.

How did you track me down?

You think only the Power Gang plays tricks?

Enough. No more talking with you.

Keep it.

You can move after one hour.

(To Li Chenzhou)

Young Master, are you going to the disciplinary chamber again?

Master Li didn't punish you. Why impose self-punishment?

Master Li didn't punish me as he is lenient.

I won't use his mercy to avoid blame.

What else do you want to say?

Xiao Qiushui asked me to give a letter to you and Master Li.

He says it concerns the Hero Token.

I don't know what trick he's playing, so I dared not decide.

(To Liu Suifeng)

(To Li Chenzhou)

I haven't come for him, yet he comes first.

Why didn't you inform me when he contacted you?

I feared his trickery.

Do you think I'd fall for his tricks again?

That's not what I meant!

- I'm worried about you. - Enough.

Let me see what he's up to.

(To Li Chenzhou, To Liu Suifeng)

What nonsense is this?

Has Xiao Qiushui gone mad?

Who says only those in the spotlight count as heroes?

Ding ding dang.

Ding ding dang.

Singing your song on the roof.

Who's playing Pipa?

(Hero Token at Pipa Pavilion)

What is he trying to say?

He's truly gone mad.

Young Master, should we give that letter to Master Li?

(Pipa Pavilion) Dry weather demands fire caution.

Dry weather demands fire caution.

Sir, you've been sitting here all day.

We're closing soon.

- Fine. I know. - Okay.

Dry weather demands fire caution.

(If Liu Suifeng or Li Chenzhou is R,)

(one of them should know)

(my letter says the Hero Token is at Pipa Pavilion.)

Have you heard?

All sects in the martial world received invitation letters.

They're gathering at Emei to fight against the Power Gang.

That's good news for common folks.

I heard Abbess Zhichen of Emei initiated this.

Shenzhou Alliance recently raided the Power Gang's strongholds.

crushed Liu Suifeng, killed Sword King, and destroyed Better-Dead Pills.

It is a golden chance to wipe out the Power Gang completely, right?

Exactly.

(Emei's Golden Summit?)

(Who says only those in the spotlight count as heroes? Ding ding dang.)

Xiao Qiushui is full of tricks.

Had I known he sent you the same,

I wouldn't have brought it.

He's tricky, and he actually got me.

You don't have to go to the disciplinary chamber.

I failed my duty

without detecting Sword King's collusion with Eagle Flute.

And Xiao Qiushui schemed for Corpse Beetle King.

Hence, an accident happened.

The incident about Sword King was unforeseen.

We intercepted Sword King's letter to Eagle Flute.

Eagle Flute used gang's infighting to recruit him.

Anyone interfering with your plans,

either Eagle Flute or Xiao Qiushui, I'll make them suffer.

Xiao Qiushui is truly troublesome.

His Shenzhou alliance destroyed our many strongholds.

Even you got tricked by him.

Someone like Xiao Qiushui should be eliminated early.

Every day he lives spells trouble.

Suifeng, you've fought him long enough.

Yet you never realize Xiao Qiushui has a knack.

He is outside our game.

I've never seen someone like him before.

Keeping him alive might prove useful.

You've never met him, yet rate him so highly?

He'll definitely go to Emei's Golden Summit.

(Invitation)

(Master Tian, I invite masters to fight against the Power Gang.)

(I await your presence.) I was bothered

about how to gather the martial artists.

Now we can take this chance.

But many sects received secret letters,

claiming you have the Hero Token and Book of Oblivion.

We've lost Corpse Beetle King.

If those sects unite...

You may leave. I have plans.

Yes.

You look quiet and brooding.

Are you not confident about the battle at Emei's Golden Summit?

I can't predict how things will unfold at Emei's Golden Summit.

So what's your plan then?

In original story, eight masters will transfer their internal energy to me.

I wonder if that plot point remains unchanged.

If the plot follows that path, we might stand a chance.

We must fight, no matter what it takes.

If everything goes according to your outline,

where you capture Li Chenzhou alive, make him submit wholeheartedly,

then take over the Power Gang, and become the martial world leader,

that will be so great.

But if so, doesn't that mean the story ends?

Would you return home then?

Return home? But my mission remains unfinished.

The suspect hasn't been exposed yet.

They're still in grave danger.

I haven't fulfilled my promises to my sworn brothers

and friends yet.

So I can't return home yet.

Then what will you do about Li Chenzhou?

Li Chenzhou destroyed the Huanhua Sect.

He's the enemy of all righteous sects.

Therefore,

I will kill him.

Kill him! He deserves to die!

But the future's unfolding remains unclear to me.

When predictions fail, won't you still aid me?

Of course!

We'll face each challenge as it comes.

Qiushui, shouldn't we prepare for the fight against Power Gang?

Right. Let's set off together! We'll all go to Emei's Golden Summit!

We've waited too long for this day.

Take us too. We must avenge our father!

The battle at Emei's Golden Summit is unprecedented in scale.

The Power Gang will fight in full force against the whole martial world.

What does this imply?

It means their strongholds will be understaffed.

Now is the time for us to press our advantage,

dismantling the Power Gang's strongholds

and crushing them completely!

So we'll divide our forces.

Tie Xingyue, Qiu Nangu,

you two destroy their strongholds.

- Yes! - Yes!

Minmiao, Mushuang,

stay here and assist them.

We follow your orders.

If we can take this chance to cut off the Power Gang's roots,

it'll be good too.

(Prosperity Blessed by Heaven)

Xueyu, they've already departed.

I must catch up immediately.

This trip to Emei will take at least 10 to 15 days.

If any trouble arises, ask Liang for help.

Don't worry about me.

Qiushui, promise me.

Always prioritize your own safety.

Don't let vengeance blind you to danger.

Don't worry. I know my limits.

Qiushui, you've grown up.

You've found your own path in life.

I also must find my own way.

I've always dreamed of joining father and brothers in good deeds.

But I overlooked that punishing the evil was as vital as treating patients.

To me, you're always the perfect sister.

The Shenzhou Alliance runs a clinic in town.

The recent plague outbreak

is contained, but the alliance is understaffed.

Would you help?

Rest assured, and I'll do my best.

Yiren, why don't you go to Emei's Golden Summit

with Qiushui?

After all, we're fighting for our family.

I was acting leader before our parents' death.

Whatever tricks Qiushui has played,

I'm still the head of the family.

Yiren, Qiushui even survived the Nangong family's trap!

He must have had adventures these past months we don't know.

He just played some tricks. Don't you see?

You'll guard our home.

I'll restore our family's honor by vanquishing our foes at Emei.

Take care, Yiren.

(Emei's Golden Summit)

- You've all received the letters too? - Yes.

The letter says Li Chenzhou has the Hero Token and Book of Oblivion.

We must devise countermeasures here.

So many people are here.

I never imagined the martial world could unite like this,

all answering Emei's call to discuss overthrowing the Power Gang.

I'm not so optimistic.

I heard Xiao Qiushui killed Sword King.

Exactly! I always said the Power Gang's strength was illusory.

After we destroy them together,

we'll get to study the Hero Token and Book of Oblivion.

It seems not everyone came to fight the Power Gang.

They're here for personal gain.

This martial world is corrupted.

It explains how the Power Gang thrives so easily.

Whatever. For now, we have the same goal.

However, there must be something fishy.

I hope Qiushui will successfully meet Abbess Zhichen.

Master, Xiao Qiushui from Huanhua wants to see you.

(Virtuousness) Let him in.

Please go in.

Nice to meet you, Abbess Zhichen.

Come closer.

(Zhichen, Abbess of Emei Sect)

(How can there be someone so similar?)

Abbess Zhichen.

You are Xiao Qiushui?

Indeed, I am.

My disciples have dwindled.

I often lament my sect's weakening influence.

Yet you, with just a few young men, made the Power Gang suffer a defeat,

upholding justice.

I'm flattered. I don't deserve such praise.

The young people wield swords against the evil,

while I can't help due to my frail body.

If I were healthy, I'd suppress the Power Gang.

Tianzheng and Taichan have died.

Even at the cost of my life, I must rally all martial artists.

I wonder if there are people willing to fight the Power Gang together.

By the way, what brings you here?

I come for this item.

The Hero Token!

Madam Wu gave it to you?

Yes.

I have a friend.

His father was injured by techniques from the Book of Oblivion.

My friend sacrificed himself to save me.

Now I wish to save his family.

You believe the Book of Oblivion is hidden within the Hero Token,

so you ask me how to get it?

Yes. I beg for your guidance.

It's not that I refuse to help.

I don't know the connection between the two items.

Years ago, we created the Hero Token to resist the North Wasteland.

I don't think Yan Kuangtu would place the Book of Oblivion within it.

Though he was mad,

he didn't want chaos in martial world from competing for it.

Yan Kuangtu had the Hero Token.

Yet the token suddenly appeared in the martial world.

Perhaps this was his own doing.

But why would he do this?

If you want the Book of Oblivion,

find Yan Kuangtu and ask him personally.

But that's like finding a needle in a haystack.

I have this.

Golden Swallow?

Madam Wu entrusted it to me.

She said it could locate Yan Kuangtu's sister.

I know something of this matter.

Yan Kuangtu's fellow disciples surnamed Jiang kidnapped his young sister,

attempting to trade her for the Book of Oblivion.

But his fellow disciples broke their promise,

fleeing with Yan Kuangtu's sister at night.

Later, Yan Kuangtu's sister fell ill, nearly dying.

I happened upon her and saved her.

I don't know what happened after that.

Where is Abbess Zhichen?

I'm in a hurry to find Li Chenzhou!

If word leaks, he'll hide away.

You'd better shut up.

Zhao Shirong!

Master Liu!

Yiren.

How dare members of Power Gang come!

Emei's Golden Summit is picturesque.

If you can come, why not us?

You ask what you already know.

Emei's Golden Summit has long been a site for righteous sects.

Yet Power Gang

killed the leaders of Shaolin and Wudang and my family!

Your presence here is an affront!

You think so, but some actually desire our presence.

Enough! Where's Li Chenzhou?

Hand over the Hero Token and Book of Oblivion!

- Hand them over! - Hand them over!

This cloak was worn by that girl.

Do you remember

any distinctive marks on that girl?

I remember a flower-shaped birthmark on her nape.

If you find her, give this to her.

It's her stuff, anyway.

- Master. - What is it?

Power Gang members are at the plaza!

Qiushui, the Power Gang aims to disrupt this gathering.

I shall prepare a welcome for them.

In this martial world, some young people show true courage.

But you're isolated.

They're isolated?

I don't think so.

Heavenly King Zhu!

He put aside his business and came here.

I guess he came for the Book of Oblivion too.

(Heavenly King Zhu, Leader of Long River Waterways)

I know you all think

I'm a bandit without a sense of justice.

But bandits may steal wealth without forsaking justice.

Even I can't tolerate what the Power Gang has done,

so I came to uphold justice.

So who's truly isolated today?

- Yes! - Exactly.

- Right! - Hand over the stuff!

Hand over the stuff!

What a smooth talker!

Pity you're all scheming individually.

Though you're calling for justice today, tomorrow you'll run for personal gains.

Save your breath.

The Power Gang seeks mutual benefit.

If any of you have desires,

just cooperate, and we'll help fulfill them.

It's far better than chasing empty glory through bloodshed.

What do you say?

Nonsense!

Guys, the Power Gang seeks to cow us with threats and favors,

then slowly dominate us all.

Since you're all here,

you've heard

that Qiushui killed Sword King and wounded Liu Suifeng!

He became famous for that!

- As his brother, you must be tough too! - Exactly!

As you all know,

some of my family was slaughtered, with power weakened.

If submitting to the Power Gang, we would live peacefully in Jin City.

Yet here I stand against them!

I fight for nothing else,

but I must defeat them

for justice and righteousness!

- Good point! - Good point!

Fight them to the last!

Yeah! This is the way!

All of you are so stubborn.

Then I must summon two elders.

(Bai Danshu, West Swordman, Lan Fangqing, East Swordman)

The Twin Swordmen!

Even the legendary Twin Swordmen serve the Power Gang now?

No wonder they disappeared years ago.

It turns out they joined your gang.

Coincidentally, we have two masters too.

(Zhang Canjin and Wan Suiyu, Exotic Demons)

Twin Swordmen! It's been a while.

We lost track of you after besieging Yan Kuangtu.

We never imagined you'd hide in the Power Gang.

Come on! Let's finish our duel!

We are top one outside the Central Plains.

Zhang Canjin, Wan Suiyu.

Stop dreaming! So pathetic!

You're so arrogant!

Greetings, the four heads.

Shaolin's discipline heads and Wudang's palace heads came!

The Power Gang won't leave unscathed.

What a lively gathering.

So many esteemed masters came here.

(Tieqi, Yinping, Wudang Palace Heads) Where is Liu Suifeng?

Here I am.

(Fanhua, Muye, Shaolin Discipline Heads) You killed our Abbot at Huanhua Sect.

I must seize you today!

Muye, don't reason with a wretch!

Take his head for vengeance!

Look.

That's my father's scabbard.

Check it out!

Where are they! Let's go!

What's happening?

Look.

Shirong.

Suifeng, I'll handle this.

We can't see anything!

Liu Suifeng fled!

With the Twin Swordmen gone, only you remain, Zhao Shirong!

She's alone now, isn't she?

Zhao Shirong! Surrender now!

Seize her!

We trade her for the Book of Oblivion!

Wait.

All of you here call for justice.

Are you ganging up on a woman?

I know you well.

All of you are too proud to attack me together.

Since you're all here,

I'll offer a compromise.

I'll challenge you all one by one.

You win, and I'll surrender.

If I win,

you'll agree to a request of mine. What do you say?

All of you are renowned.

You're not afraid to duel with a woman, are you?

Bring it on!

I'm taking on your challenge!

Good!

(Another R. Could it be him?)

Are you all alright?

Who are you?

I'm Xiao Qiushui of Huanhua Sect.

You're the son of my old friend.

We heard of your family's tragedy.

After this grueling battle, all eight of us are running on fumes.

It's hard for us to survive today.

I'd like to transfer all my techniques to you.

Master.

Prove to those four old men...

No! Prove to the world who possesses the best martial arts

and vanquish evil from the martial world.

Our meridians are already damaged,

but we can't give up!

You go and kill those old men!

Master, this is unacceptable!

I'm not a disciple of Wudang. How could I learn your techniques?

Outsiders could gain our techniques if there is a chance.

If you have talent, inherit our legacy!

Amitabha.

You have no choice.

Master...

Master!

Master!

Be careful!

Boy, I'm transferring my internal energy and techniques to you.

Kill him for me!

I'm transferring mine too!

Let's see whose internal energy prevails!

- We're transferring ours too. - We're transferring ours too.
