Katie Price was so famous at one point, if you said

"Jordan," the name she used, people wouldn't think of the country

in the Middle East, they'd think of the model.

If I fart, they'd probably write about it.

Once worth an estimated £45 million...

Money doesn't buy happiness or anything like that.

She's made a phenomenal amount of money,

and I guess she's spent a phenomenal amount of money.

..now bankrupt.

Can you stop harassing me? Can you... Can you get away, please?

How did the girl from Brighton go from rags to riches...

and back again?

I have lots of ups, lots of downs.

That's just the way my life is.

She had almost £100,000 of mortgage arrears.

She'd had to pay out about £6 million from that divorce.

She's had numerous cosmetic procedures,

which cost about £130,000.

She had horses, she had kids, she had cars,

she was going out, she had exotic holidays.

And just where did all the money go?

I have no idea where that money went.

I haven't got a clue.

As a British Airways flight from Istanbul

lands at Heathrow Airport,

police are waiting for one passenger.

Katie Price is arrested

for failing to attend a bankruptcy hearing.

As shown in this dramatic footage.

Where we are today with Kate and the recent arrest at Heathrow,

where she'd just come back from having yet more surgery,

she had her face in bandages.

So, I was at Heathrow.

As soon as she stepped foot off the plane,

there was a couple of police officers waiting for her.

It was all quite dramatic, actually.

She appears in court a few days later.

REPORTER: Are you in denial, Katie?

But how did the household name

once reportedly worth tens of millions

end up bankrupt not once, but twice?

Born in Brighton in 1978,

Katie Price started modelling aged 13

for a clothing label

and was signed to an agency in her late teens,

making a name for herself in the decade of tabloid culture

and lads' mags.

You know, you had Kerry Katona, you had Katie Price.

They became famous at a time

where being famous could earn you a lot of money

in a very traditional sense.

Through the newspapers, through endorsement deals,

through autobiographies,

and it was a gold rush.

In 1996, using her alter-ego, Jordan,

she is catapulted to fame on Page 3 of The Sun,

starting at just £30 per session.

She'd take her top off.

That's where she came to public prominence.

Back in the 1990s, Page 3 girl in The Sun,

but she became so much more than that.

She was just a phenomenon.

I think she was on round about £100,000 a year

for the contract with OK! Magazine not to work for any other magazine.

And I think she could ask around about £10,000

for a photoshoot.

So she was earning good money.

Now, the thing is, with Kate,

if you put her on page 1 of a red-top tabloid newspaper,

back in the day, she would sell by the bucketload.

The perks of being Page 3 royalty

means Katie, or Jordan,

can start spending big.

In 1998, she pays £4,500 for breast implants.

The first of many.

She was very impressive when I first met her.

And then she said, "Oh, I need surgery,

"but I need to ask my readers

"whether I can go for it or not."

Then she came back after a couple of years and said,

"Oh, yes, I decided

"whatever the reader says doesn't matter,

"I want to go ahead."

I just said, "Kate, don't do it. Don't do it.

"You're beautiful as it is. You know, you can do this."

But again, it was a way of pushing her career on

and selling herself.

With a new set of assets, Jordan becomes big business.

The media-savvy glamour model

makes the most of the public's insatiable appetite.

She knew how to draw the cameras.

The paparazzi loved her, she loved the paparazzi,

so she was in the public eye all the time.

And she could monetise that.

She knew how to become a business, and the business was Jordan herself.

She was good currency back in the day, you know,

running an online kind of gossip site.

There was her, there was Paris Hilton,

there was Kerry, there was Lindsay Lohan.

There were, kind of like, half a dozen people

who every single day when you turned up for work

knew at least one of them would deliver something

that would generate hundreds of thousands of views.

Katie was always at the top of that.

High-profile relationships helped keep Katie in the spotlight,

including a brief fling with footballer Dwight Yorke,

who fathers Katie's first child, Harvey, in 2002.

The relationship didn't last.

It wasn't just being a glamour model that was raking in the money.

It was the era of the kiss and tell,

and she certainly did that.

There was a big double-page spread in the tabloids

about how she took the virginity of Gareth Gates

when he was just 17,

and she was pregnant with Harvey at the time.

Katie could have got up to £100,000, easily,

for a story like that.

The cash continues to roll in when Katie Price joins

the ever-popular candid camera reality series

I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here! in 2004.

And I think what really rocketed Kate's career into the stratosphere

was going on I'm A Celebrity for the first time.

I thought that was one of the savviest moves,

both by ITV and her.

It was shrewd on her behalf, because it was the first time

she was looking to get rid of the Jordan persona.

She was vulnerable.

She was ballsy in the... in the challenges.

Have you done it? It's coming in now.

I wasn't keen on Jordan... at all.

I didn't like Jordan.

But then I met Kate in the jungle

and then I got to see Kate, and I love Kate.

While Katie endures creepy crawlies in the jungle,

it also becomes the unlikely location for romance -

her relationship with Peter Andre setting her on a life-changing path.

You could see, even when she was falling for Peter Andre,

she was having private chats with other campmates, being like,

"Oh, do you think he really likes me?"

And I think that people could relate to that.

Even though she was fancied

by thousands of men round the country,

she still had her insecurities.

Katie finishes 5th

but walks out of the jungle a bona fide star

and publicly in love,

opening the door for lucrative money-making deals.

I mean, there was a lot of eyeballs on that show,

so then, coming out of that, people were curious about the story.

And it did feel absolutely real.

And because it was so real,

there was obviously a lot of money to generate.

She was now part of a power couple,

and I think they elevated each other

beyond anything that they could ever have imagined.

It was alchemy, it was brilliant.

In 2005, high on the success of I'm A Celeb,

Katie marries Peter

in a lavish ceremony later broadcast on ITV2,

with Harvey serving as pageboy to his mum and new step-dad.

OK! Magazine pays £1.75 million for the exclusive.

Their wedding, which was a huge deal,

with magazines and getting those big pictures of Katie,

infamously in her Cinderella-style pink ball gown

in the Cinderella carriage

that took her to where Peter was in his white tuxedo

and this sort of fairy-tale image that she portrayed.

Wow, what a wedding.

Pete cried his eyes out as he walked out.

It was beautiful.

You know, going... Just think, you're my husband.

No, just think, you're my wife.

The buzz around them continues.

Starring in their own reality show, Katie & Peter,

documenting the early days of their marriage

and births of their two children, Junior and Princess,

drawing in millions of viewers every week.

And pretty much their entire relationship

was documented on TV,

and they were making so much money from it,

from being on the show, the exposure,

working with other brands because of being on the reality show.

It isn't just TV bringing in the cash.

In 2006,

Katie signs a six-figure three-book deal with Random House

and creates a lingerie line with ASDA

worth £1.5 million over three years.

I mean, that was ideal.

And, of course, their shoppers would read her books,

watch her on TV, listen to her, quite like her.

How smart of Katie Price

to get millions of quid out of Asda.

In 2008,

Katie and Peter purchase this sprawling Surrey house

for £2.1 million,

as seen in these revealing listing photos.

But almost immediately, rumours of affairs spread,

possibly harming her brand and earning potential.

It got really dark, and it got really bitter.

Erm, and...

You didn't really know who to believe.

Despite rumours of her relationship falling apart,

in 2009, she signs a deal with ITV

worth a reported £6.2 million

for reality show Katie & Peter: Stateside.

And the couple don't shy away

from airing the cracks in their marriage.

was not a great time for Katie, for their relationship.

It's sort of where it all starts to go wrong,

and you're seeing this play out live on TV.

They're having a lot of arguments.

You have 12 kids... I got nothing to prove over here.

It doesn't feel like something

that as a viewer you should really be seeing.

This should be something that should be behind closed doors.

From glamour model to reality star,

Katie's earnings are skyrocketing,

but her personal life starts to unravel.

Anything else you wanna burn? Yeah, you.

We want a soap opera.

We want a bleak narrative, we feed off that.

to get to her glamour shoots

to signing TV deals worth millions.

By 2005, she has married Peter Andre,

earning her a fortune.

But by 2009, the relationship is falling apart.

I've been married,

unfortunately, I'm going through a divorce,

but I've got three beautiful children out of it,

and all I wanna do is concentrate for my children being happy,

just carry on working, doing my career,

doing my endorsements.

I always said from the start

that I never wanted to explain the reasons why things happened

and I never wanna say derogatory things

about the mother of my children.

When your business is the fact that you're a couple,

it becomes really difficult.

That combined with the fact that they shared management,

it was inevitable that if there were any ructions

or any forks in the road,

it was gonna be pretty devastating

because everybody involved would have to pick a side.

The divorce comes quickly,

but it is painfully expensive,

thought to cost Katie a staggering £2 million.

With the relationship over, Katie doesn't only lose Peter -

the divorce also costs her her manager.

So, Pete has been with Claire Powell from the beginning of time.

Kate left her management to be with Pete and Claire.

So when he left her,

she was left by herself and her own devices,

which both me and Kate know is not a good idea.

If you look at celebrities who go the length,

they've got a team around them, strong manager,

strong press representation,

very good accountants, very good financial advice.

CHEERING, LAUGHTER

With Claire Powell gone

and a lot of negativity in the press,

people began questioning

whether Katie can still be a success.

The toxicity of that

and the way that break-up was channelled,

the brand partners, they begin to have doubts.

The split was never,

and could never have been, a happy one.

It was always gonna be acrimonious

because there was so much money at stake,

and not just theirs,

but the livelihoods of all the people around them

relied solely on the fact that these two were sleeping together

and happily having kids and being in love.

It is a messy separation and costs Katie dearly.

She is sued for libel

and ordered to pay her former manager

substantial damages for making false allegations

about her relationship with Peter Andre.

It is estimated to cost her at least £100,000.

Now, let's not forget, you know,

behind every superstar there's a very good team,

and I think that the narrative that was pedalled,

that she was having an affair with Peter,

she had betrayed Katie,

she probably cut off the Svengali behind her.

Claire Powell was a very, very clever agent

and did all the deals for her,

and I think that was a significant moment

because it just felt...

Things were never at that height again.

When it comes to her business empire,

Katie has lost the jewels in her crown,

but she isn't going to let the doubters get the best of her.

And I think she really struggled,

and I think that really damaged her mental health.

That was the first indication that she had

the audience were getting bored with her.

It's hard to know whether people wanted to see her suffer

or maybe she just, you know...

they just loved to see her on the screen.

But once again, when she comes out, there's just TV show after TV show.

With Katie out of the jungle and the public wanting more,

ITV2 orders a new reality TV series.

What Katie Did Next gets close to 1.5 million viewers an episode,

making it the most watched programme on digital TV.

And the show is a huge money spinner,

earning Katie an estimated £800,000.

Women in particular warm to Kate because it's...

You know, "You are fallible, you do have your problems."

Katie's appeal goes well beyond just reality TV.

With an entrepreneurial streak to die for,

Katie is making money everywhere you look.

She had many products.

And she knew how to market them, as well.

She would always do some out-there photoshoot

to get them into magazines.

You would see her with big hair that's become synonymous with her.

The fake tan. She could sell each part of it.

There wasn't anything that she didn't try.

What people probably don't realise about Katie is

she's an incredibly successful author,

and between 2000 and 2009,

she was in the Top 100 bestselling authors.

She sold over three million copies.

And within that, she's got autobiographies, novels,

two sets of children's books, which she made around £600,000 for,

for them alone.

So she's continually just bringing in the money.

As she said, she's never written a word.

And in 2011,

her literary career hits new heights.

She reportedly strikes a £5 million book deal

with Random House.

They weren't selling thousands.

They were selling tens of thousands.

Collectively, she was selling millions.

There are famous authors

who would've dreamed for her success.

It was just a phenomenon.

And if the figures are to be believed,

at just 29 years old,

she makes it onto the Sunday Times Young Rich List

at 12th place.

Her estimated wealth, £30 million.

A figure that's said to have risen to £45 million by 2011.

Maybe her earnings were never quite as large as she made out,

but she still had a fortune.

Money beyond the dreams of any ordinary person in Britain.

And it's a fortune she likes to spend on her passions,

such as dressage,

and with Wallis the horse, she spends £250,000.

And it doesn't stop at horses.

Katie spends a small fortune on her own grooming.

Over 12 years,

Katie's hair extensions alone cost her £288,000.

The other big drain on Kate's finances is the children.

She has five children.

Harvey has special needs,

so he needs a lot of extra expensive care.

But, you know, raising children isn't cheap these days.

So she's had to keep working

in order just to keep the basics going,

keep her family going.

It's not just the...

the glamorous, the hedonistic, narcissist side.

There's a woman there who is a mother,

and you can see she feels that really strongly

cos she adores that boy in particular.

I think, "Look, you need a nanny, you need carers."

They all need paying, so you need to earn.

Thankfully, Katie's turbulent love life

offers her a major source of income.

Just eight weeks after her divorce from Peter is finalised,

Katie is dating ex-cage fighter Alex Reid,

and the public can't get enough of them.

He came out of nowhere. I happen to love Alex Reid as a celebrity

because he's everything that's dreadful about Britain's celebrity.

But I think with him,

she bit off a little bit more than she could chew.

Within a few months, they go to Vegas,

they elope, and they get married.

MAN: Congratulations on buying your rings, guys.

And they said that they did this

because they wanted it to be just the two of them,

they wanted it to be nice and secret and that special moment.

And then they come back to the UK

and they sell the ceremony for £1 million to ITV.

I am Mrs Reid,

although, for work, you know, some of my endorsements,

it's still Katie Price, but I'm 100% Mrs Reid.

But the marriage doesn't last.

Katie is critical of Alex's cross-dressing,

claiming he's no longer the man she married,

despite making much of it in the press throughout.

And after just one year,

the couple are divorcing and a massive bill is being run up.

None of that comes cheap.

I mean, you know, there are...

Lawyers are involved,

and, you know, God knows how much they charge.

But that has been an awful drain on her finances, as well.

Without a prenup, it's said to have cost Katie

half a million pounds on legal fees alone.

Total cost of the divorce,

an estimated £1.5 million.

I think that Katie Price's greatest strength

is also her greatest weakness,

in that she will just go ahead and do things without thinking.

And that has made her a lot of money,

but it also has cost her a lot of money.

Almost everybody, you know, has a dip at some point.

She's making reality TV programmes,

but fewer people, in truth, are watching them,

so the money will go down.

But it just means you've gotta rein your spending in,

you would say.

But if you've just lived that life,

you've lived your best life, splashing the cash,

it's very, very hard to all of a sudden say,

"Well, you know, I'll be popping down to Asda,"

rather than appearing in an advert for it.

In spite of the success of her promo work,

reality TV series, and mega-money book deals,

Katie's star is beginning to wane.

In hindsight, what we've seen since was that

that split from Peter was really the catalyst for...

for the ever-decreasing circles of celebrity.

He was a really important piece.

As she realised moving forward -

just replacing the man didn't keep the story compelling.

You go from Peter Andre to Alex Reid,

they become less important,

and you have to paddle a little bit faster

to keep your head above water.

And that's where the problems lie,

and that's where you start doing desperate things.

And over the next few years,

things only get more outrageous.

On Celebrity Big Brother, she was just box office.

People would, one, know who she is, two, look at it,

and three, want to know what she said.

And even more expensive.

It's very hard to know how someone can run up debts of £3.26 million

when they are outwardly earning good money.

Just a sort of car crash after car crash.

to cross-dressing cage fighter Alex Reid is over,

and she's looking to revive her TV career.

In January, she marries former stripper Kieran Hayler.

Katie realised that...

It's a whole layer of conversation, it's a whole layer of endorsements,

it's a whole layer of story around your life.

Katie's third marriage, to Kieran, yet again,

is another very, very costly thing for her.

This marriage was rocked by infidelity.

Katie found out that he was cheating on her

with her best friend.

Heartbroken, Katie fires out furious social media posts,

naming and shaming her former bridesmaid.

That story broke because Katie live-tweeted it.

To have that kind of live streaming, the infidelity,

this big betrayal in her life was just really bizarre.

The press might not understand,

but Katie's fellow reality star does.

Before you all start picking her apart,

imagine if that was you.

Imagine your husband's having an affair

with your best friend.

You'd be mortified. Absolutely mortified.

Probably wouldn't even want your friends and family to know.

But then the whole world knows about it.

And everyone's following you everywhere.

You'd never leave your house.

But we have a job to do.

We... This... This is what we do for a living.

Katie takes Kieran back

but wants a fresh start in a new house.

With a profit of £700,000 from the sale of her old one,

she buys a nine-bedroom mansion for £1.35 million...

The great British public were fascinated by her.

People got to see the sort of real Katie.

It's a massive career boost and a big pay-out.

400 grand, Celebrity Big Brother, wins it.

She's showing she's still relevant,

she's still popular, she can still do it.

Katie's vulnerable side is a huge hit with the public.

It gave her a reboot,

and I think it was just circumstance and, again, luck,

which reality folk need,

that gave her that lift.

And she quickly turns the Big Brother win

into a new lucrative career on daytime TV,

with Loose Women,

reportedly starting at £5,000 a show.

Another strand of Kate's career

is when she went onto programmes like Loose Women.

And once again, it's appealing to a completely different audience.

It's not the lads' mags,

it's not maybe the younger girls that lapped up her fashion ranges,

her make-up ranges and some of the books she wrote.

It's more a more mature female audience.

Katie shared her struggles to save her marriage

with the sympathetic panel.

Yeah, well, in my situation, everyone said, "Just leave Kieran."

You know, it would've been so easy to walk away.

So easy. But I thought, "No, I'm gonna fight for this."

When she went on Loose Women

it really was a different side of her.

It was bringing out more the Katie Price the mum,

as opposed to Katie Price the glamour model

and also Katie Price the wife.

And Katie Price, the woman that gets her heart broken,

the one who wears her heart on her sleeve.

I think it's easy to walk away,

but I think if you really want something,

you fight for it, you do it.

'And she was incredibly popular.

'She did really, really well.'

She was different, but people warmed to her,

and I think that the thing people forget with Kate

is that it's actually quite easy to really like her,

cos deep down, she is actually a very nice person.

She's not what you see.

People have perceptions of her,

and I think as soon as she went on programmes like Loose Women,

people started to see the real Kate.

But it's still in there,

beneath the boobs and the hair and the eyelashes and the nails,

and whatever else she's had done.

Despite this success,

with good money coming in, Katie opts for more cosmetic work,

treating herself to her first face-lift,

a full set of veneers, and a tenth boob job.

It pays off immediately.

She's signed up for a new six-part series

of Katie Price: My Crazy Life on TLC

for £30,000 a show.

Nothing's off the table,

even explosive arguments about Kieran's constant cheating.

I shouldn't be with you cos of what you've done.

You shouldn't be with me. I shouldn't. I deserve better.

You're right. Know what, Kate? You shouldn't be with me.

Even your mum said, "I'm surprised you're still with Kieran

"and you haven't left him." That's your mother.

But she still splashes out £77,000

on a second-hand Audi Spyder for his 30th.

And keeps sharing it all on Loose Women.

Things are going well.

She's happy and has a regular income.

But in 2018,

her life is about to take a horrific turn

as she films an episode of My Crazy Life with her children

in South Africa.

The kids wanted a wee, so as we pulled over,

the next thing I know, I've got this guy at the window,

his face was just mad.

Junior and Princess are screaming. I'm going, "Calm down, calm down."

A brutal carjacking traumatises the whole family.

Katie will later reveal

that she was sexually assaulted by the carjackers.

Her mental health starts to suffer.

So, she's spoken out quite a lot

about severe trauma that she suffered,

that she had PTSD.

Katie turns to cocaine to help her cope,

and she is dropped from Loose Women.

Horrified friends and family urge her to get help,

and she spends 28 days in The Priory,

at a cost of £20,000.

Unlike other people,

she wouldn't be able to just go to the doctor

and join in group therapy sessions on the NHS.

As she struggles with her mental health,

she makes some confusing decisions.

She takes out a second mortgage on her house,

signing up for monthly payments of £12,300.

And reportedly spends thousands more on plastic surgery.

The woman is not frightened of talking about surgery, you know,

if it means a new headline, get a face-lift,

get a breast enlargement,

get a new man, get a new hunk.

Then people say, "Oh, no, Katie, not again."

It seemed to be just a sort of...

you know, car crash after car crash.

And somehow, she would come away from the wreckage,

go to some clinic,

have some new injections, and come out as new-looking.

As her behaviour and spending become increasingly erratic,

Katie's brand is starting to slip.

The contracts are drying up.

She's never felt like she's somebody who could be modest

in anything in life, and that includes her spending.

And when the taxman comes calling,

Katie can't pay.

All the cash was coming in, but she's spending very quickly,

and she clearly hasn't invested

and saved for a rainy day.

After a year of struggling with her mental health,

Katie's finances crash in December 2018.

When she's taken to court by her creditors,

the figure she owes astonishes everyone.

It's very hard to know how someone can run up debts of £3.26 million

when they are outwardly earning good money.

One clue might be the divorce papers,

piling up like unpaid bills.

Years of legal fees, settlements

and ongoing custody cases have taken their toll.

There were reports at the time that her settlement with Peter Andre,

she'd had to pay out about £6 million from that divorce.

Peter was successful in his own right,

but latterly, yeah, she was probably the main breadwinner out of the two

in her later marriages.

So, yeah, eventually, that must have contributed massively

to where she found herself in 2019, with...

She owed about £3.2 million to creditors.

The divorce settlements and maintenance pay-outs

to Alex Reid and Kieran Hayler have not been disclosed.

But legal costs alone hit Katie hard.

It costs a lot of money

to get good lawyers to represent you in the High Court,

so that figure must have run into...

well into the hundreds of thousands.

Perhaps to give her a break,

the court gives Katie an IVA -

an individual voluntary arrangement.

She agrees to pay £1,000 a month for the next 12 years.

And within a year of that, she had failed to make the payments

and therefore went back to court, where she was made bankrupt in 2019.

As if things couldn't get worse,

that same month, Katie's back in court

over claims she leaked sexually explicit pictures and videos

of her ex Alex Reid.

And Katie's left another £250,000 down.

If you've lived in this sort of bubble,

as I call it, this prefabricated heaven,

there are dark moments, and clearly,

you could see that Katie Price and that lifestyle

was aiming for a fall.

By 2019, Katie is facing harsh reality,

But despite that,

she returns to Turkey for more plastic surgery,

raising her total spend on face-lifts

to a reported £35,000,

as her outgoings spiral out of control.

She feels like she needs to,

and she doesn't care about the cost.

She does what she wants,

and she is unapologetic in that.

She constantly tries to reinvent how she looks.

I actually think Kate just feels like she has to be doing something.

After she got declared bankrupt in 2019,

she owed about £3.2 million,

but she was spending ten grand in a month

on designer clothes from Selfridges.

Just splurging money.

But that's not all Katie is spending her money on.

Katie lands herself in court,

facing charges of driving under the influence of cocaine,

resulting in a 16-week suspended prison sentence

and driving ban.

She went on a sort of booze and coke-fuelled bender.

Drove her BMW X5 out while heavily over the limit

and flipped it.

This was a big turning point in her life, that when she did this,

obviously, she regretted it massively,

but this had triggered her to kind of getting her act together.

By the close of 2021,

Katie's debts have reportedly soared to over £3 million.

But refusing to be kept down,

the comeback queen finds a new way to make money.

She joins the over-18s subscription service OnlyFans,

charging users just £12 per month to access her page,

announcing her presence with a glossy promotional video.

I introduced Kate to it,

I was telling her about OnlyFans, and I was like,

"Kate, do it.

"Honest to God, you'd be stupid not to."

The pictures that you're putting on Instagram,

why don't you just put them on OnlyFans and make money off it?

She always had an eye for the big opportunity,

and she's taken it.

She can see how she can monetise herself and make money.

Katie is earning a lot of money on OnlyFans,

and she herself has said

when it was reported that she was making only 150 quid

that she said "Well, if you add a few more zeros on that,

"then it's nearer the true amount." So it's fair to say

she's earning a lot of money from it.

But despite the new revenue stream,

it's too little, too late to save her home of ten years.

She's evicted from her £1.5 million mansion

due to unpaid mortgage bills.

Leaving her in rented accommodation costing £5,000 a month.

So, Mucky Mansion, Katie's beloved house,

essentially, from the minute she moved in,

it has just bled her dry,

and she has just spent money after money,

just trying to keep it afloat.

She's spoken quite openly about the fact

that she felt there was a curse over her and over that property.

Then, whilst in Turkey for yet another face-lift,

Katie skips a key bankruptcy court hearing

and a warrant is issued for her arrest.

Upon her return to the UK,

police are waiting at the airport to take her into custody.

Alongside them are a pack of reporters,

including Sun journalist Amir Razavi.

Doesn't always happen like that.

You wouldn't think she'd brazenly just actually go abroad

when you're meant to be in court.

Well, today, Katie Price was warned by a judge

that she must appear in court again over her bankruptcies,

no ifs, no buts.

Katie returns to court later that month,

as new questions are raised over where her money has gone.

It's quite unusual

to see someone be made bankrupt twice in five years,

which is what you see with Katie Price.

Bankruptcy is very serious.

It means you have spent more money than you have.

It means you owe people money that you can't repay.

It's a very serious process, and it's managed by the courts.

And it is a legal process, and it is...

will sit on your record forever.

In March, Katie files for bankruptcy for a second time.

She appears light-hearted about the severity of the situation.

I went through a really, really tough time

the past three years - mental health and this and that.

And when you go through that, you might get bills through,

and you put everything to the side because you're just...

You can't cope with anything.

And you just go, you clear all the debts,

and you start from zero again, and you've gotta build up again. Erm...

I think there is still a naivety about finances and money

that Kate has.

I think it's almost like,

"I can't be bothered to deal with that."

How much she's earnt and how much she's spent,

I bet Kate doesn't even know herself,

to be honest with you.

Give her a break.

Do you know how overwhelming it is

to walk into a court over bankruptcy,

let alone have the paparazzi all outside?

With a second bankruptcy, new questions are being raised

over where her fortune has disappeared to.

Katie Price has got to have earned millions and millions.

Where has it gone? Has she spent it all? Squandered it?

Or has she got some of it elsewhere? Investments hidden.

That's what the court will try and find out.

That's what they wanna know.

And if she doesn't play ball with them, she could be jailed.

It's quite hard to find out, on individuals' bankruptcies,

it's hard to find out from that bankruptcy

how much they owed.

There aren't as many records as you might hope for these things

because they try and keep it all relatively private.

So, who exactly does Katie owe money to?

Journalists covering the court proceedings

reveal there's a number of different creditors

chasing down Katie for cash.

Ex-husband Alex Reid,

she owes £250,000 over a civil case

that he brought against her a few years ago.

He's turned up to court a couple of times this year.

He's not received a penny,

and neither have any of the other creditors.

Katie Price owes a lot of money to a number of people,

and it was actually revealed that Katie Price has a tax bill

of around £750,000.

I think for someone that is earning, allegedly,

millions of pounds over a period of time,

to be in a position where they are not saving money

to pay their tax bill,

they have been let down by their advisors

or ignored their advisors.

A judge ultimately agrees for a private financial review.

Katie's lawyer claiming this is in the best interest

of her mental health.

It will take place later this month.

So, will the truth of Katie's missing millions

remain behind closed doors?

People want to know the ins and outs of all this kind of stuff,

so whether eventually she wants to speak more publicly

about how she actually ended up in this situation,

that might be something that she chooses to do

further down the line.

With no conclusion yet to her financial woes,

the future looks uncertain for Katie.

Can she clamber back from the brink to regain her status

as one of the UK's most successful celebrities?

One thing is certain -

for the queen of reinvention, anything is possible.

I truly believe, in my heart of hearts, she's there.

She's there now. I can see it. I can hear it in her voice.

And I won't say these are mistakes that she's made.

These are very important lessons.

So, what does Katie does next?

I've never been able to guess what Katie's gonna do next.

I think she has a plan.

I think whatever she does next,

she will use it to probably make more money.

People care, I think people really want to see her win.

I think people are behind her.

And she should use that to her advantage

and give them the comeback story that they're all craving.

Maybe it would be no bad thing for her to get a fresh start

because I think if anyone can do it, it is her.
