In today's video, we are going to see the

biggest summer celebration in the
United States, the 4th of July.

The 4th of July is America's Independence Day.

It's like the birthday of the entire country.

A long time ago, before the United
States was a country, it was made

up of 13 colonies ruled by Great Britain.

The people in the colonies felt
the rules from Britain were unfair.

So on July 4th, 1776, the leaders
of the colonies signed a very

important document called the
Declaration of Independence.

And ever since, Americans have
celebrated this day with parades,

parties, and of course, fireworks.

We are at a fireworks superstore
where they sell a bunch of

fireworks.

Let's go check it out.

Fireworks are small explosives
that burst with colored lights and

loud sounds in the sky and they
are often used for celebrations.

We are going to check out the
cheapest fireworks as well as the

most expensive fireworks in this store.

The cheapest firework I found is this one.

It costs $1.68 and it's called a pistol popper.

But you don't just get one firework,
you get two because it's buy one

get one free.

My favorite part about this
store is the fireworks.

And they don't really look like
fireworks, especially the packaging.

This looks like a sunflower.

And this one looks like a toy.

It's a tow truck.

But in fact, you have to be careful
because there are fireworks in it.

These emojis are also fireworks.

And they are also buy one get one free.

Are you getting hungry?
I sure am.

But wait, this isn't popcorn.

It's a firework.

Yes.

Everything here is fireworks.

Even this this huge pizza,
you can get different slices.

Can you guys tell me what this is?

This is a power ball from Pokémon.

Yes, the anime that everyone used to
watch as little kids, but it's not

an actual Powerball.

It's a firework.

And this is the fuse where you will
light the firework and it'll explode.

Talking about Pokémon, this is Pikachu.

And if you want to play football at
the beach, make sure to check out

the ball because this one has a fuse.

So, you don't want to throw this one.

Um, I usually stock shelves, help people out,

build shows, and
whatnot.

What is the most expensive firework in the store?

And how much does it cost?

It would be one of the pro lines
back there, and it's around $700.

And do people actually buy that?

Yes.

People come through and they'll buy
thousands of dollars in fireworks.

I've seen $7,000 shows.

And what's the most expensive
receipt you've ever seen?

I seen one yesterday for about 2,000.

Wow, that's a lot of money.

People Yeah, people spend
a lot of money here, guys.

And how do people normally
celebrate the 4th of July?

Usually go home, have fun with the
family, shoot some bottle rockets

off, and then have a big show.

Yes, ma'am.

There are so many different
kinds of fireworks in this store.

These are sparklers and they are
handheld ones and they are great

for kids.

But be careful.

You don't want them too close to your face.

Do you want a chainsaw?

Well, this one's pretty cheap.

It's actually 30 bucks, but
you can only use it once.

This firework costs $125.

This is my favorite firework,
the screaming banshee.

But what happens if you don't
know what the firework looks like?

It's called a screaming

So in that case, you may have seen
snakes, but they haven't smoke

balls, tanks that can shoot at each

all that kind of stuff.

Stuff like this, okay?

You could call it a grandma
show or a little kid show.

Okay?

Somewhere around early teen, they
start going towards letting them

shoot stuff.

Then you're going to be giving them
packs of firecrackers that they

can light themselves.

The Roman candles, you're
interactive, you're holding it.

Next level is between the show and
the teens and that's the mortars

where you drop the ball down in
shoots up in the air big huge

explosion in the sky.

Then there's the show.

Everybody go over there.

I'm going to entertain you for the
next 15-20 hour whatever it is.

So how much do people normally
spend on a 10 to 15 minute

fireworks show?

It's not about time.

It's about quality.

The goal is when you're shooting
fireworks when you get done you

don't want people going are you done?

You want people going, "Yeah,
that was awesome. Do it again."

If you hired a professional person
to come set your fireworks off,

they're going to spend about
30 to 40% of the budget.

So, if you got $10,000 budget,
you're going to spend 30% of that in

the finale.

You should spend at least about
half the time thinking about the

finale.

The rest of the stuff you just are setting off.

So, the finale is the most important part by far.

But we found one of the most
expensive fireworks in the store.

But it's not only one firework.

It's an assortment.

So, it comes in this big box.

This one costs $350.

And it's buy one get one free.

Now, it's time to check out over there.

And we are going to see how much everything costs.

I just bought all of these fireworks
and I got a free one from the store

and everything cost me $216.

When the cashier checked me
out, she said, "Happy 4th."

We don't really call this
holiday Independence Day.

We say the 4th of July.

So to celebrate it, you can
say to somebody, "Happy 4th."

Since we have our fireworks,
now we have to go get some food.

Let's go to the grocery store.

The first step to any great
Fourth of July party is food.

Now, we're inside a grocery store
and as you can see, they have the

colors red, white, and blue.

Let's see what people are buying.

Well, of course, you can buy balloons.

And then over here, they
have a table full of snacks.

These are hamburger buns, which
you'll need them if you do make

hamburgers on the grill, as well
as some potato chips, and even

some Fourth of July cookies.

You can buy a headband, or you
can also buy an American flag.

This is an American flag, and it's pretty big.

You can also buy an umbrella
because look, it'll be very hot and

sunny during this holiday, as well as a blanket.

But this is not any type of blanket.

It has fireworks on it.

Look at all of the colors.

And you also cannot forget about the drinks.

Look, there's beer.

They did an amazing job decorating
this store for the 4th of July.

Look at the beautiful American flag.

Those are the 50 stars and the 13 stripes.

The whole store is decorated
with red, white, and blue.

And even the flowers.

These are patriotic flowers.

These flowers remind me of the American flag.

This is the American flag because
the flowers are red and white and

the pot it comes in is blue.

We just went to the fireworks store,
but inside this grocery store,

they also sell fireworks, but they
don't sell the big types of fireworks.

They sell small fireworks like sparklers.

And the other type of firework
they sell here is a pop-it.

So it's like a little ball and
when you smack it on the ground,

it'll make
a loud sound.

You can also get a bouquet of flowers.

You can see the different
colors, red, white, and blue.

And even the wrapping paper
has the American flag on it.

It's so beautiful, and it costs $9.

Another flower you can buy is this beautiful rose.

It looks like they dipped it into
blue sparkles and they painted it with

white stripes just like the American flag.

And this rose costs $5.

The most common tradition for
the Fourth of July is having a

barbecue or where food is cooked on a grill.

So, I finally found everything
I need for a barbecue.

We have some hot dog buns.

These are buns.

We have some Ruffles.

These are just chips.

Of course, we can't forget our hot dogs.

These are hot dogs.

And finally, I have my sauces,
some ketchup, and mayo.

I just bought my groceries for the 4th of July,

and now I'm getting
pretty hungry.

So, let's go to the lake and grill these hot dogs.

After a long day at the beach,
everyone's pretty tired, but we're pretty

excited for the big fireworks show,
which we're going to watch over

here by the lake.

Look at everyone sitting down.

People have chairs, golf
carts, and we're super excited.

Now, we're going to start with
one of the smallest fireworks.

This is a little popper and
you just slam it on the ground.

Now I have to use a lighter to light
this smaller firework, but it's a lot

bigger than the popper.

Let's see.

And it's going to all be on video.

These are firecrackers.

It's going to make a lot of noise.

Remember the Powerball we
bought today at the store?

Well, I'm going to light it up.

So, I'm going to put it on the driveway.

And this will be a fountain,
so it'll just spray out.

Let's see it.

I'm going to light up a rocket.

But I have to take off this orange safety cap.

There we go.

And then I can't hold this firework,
so I'm going to put it in this pipe.

And then I just need a lighter.

I'm going to light it right now.

These fireworks are in a big box
and they're a lot more powerful than

the other fireworks.

So, I'm in a parking lot.

The fuse is right here.

So, my friend is going to light it off.

I'm going to set it down on the
ground and let's see the fireworks.
