(Episode 1)

They've reached Sandbar.

Blessed Ones spotted in the Northern Border Sector 12.

Number count: Five.

Surveillance complete.

Artillery: One.

Infantry: Four.

They're striking the supply ship.

We've repelled the first attack.

Sandbar vessel has activated its shields.

Link to Sandbar vessel established.

Sandbar forces are prepping for battle.

Supply ship, avoid the Void zone.

No need.

I've got this.

Black Isle frontliner, Yuna.

Start!

All Blessed Ones down.

More Blessed Ones emerge in the same area.

Number count: Six.

And...

a human.

Human?

I've made it out!

I should handle these nuisances first.

Human...

Who are you?

Why did you come from the Void?

I

am...

You followed here after all.

Black Isle's minion.

You

stand no chance against us.

(Sandbar)

You're awake.

Passing out in the desert is dangerous.

It's fine, actually.

Food's great here,

and the environment's clean.

Sorry to interrupt,

may I see this?

Judging from the craftsmanship,

it looks like a military badge, very old,

but I've never seen one this ancient.

Could it be...

I'm finished.

How can I repay you?

Don't mention it.

Did you really come from the Void?

The Void?

That's what it's called here?

Yes,

I came from over there.

What's inside the Void?

Besides Blessed Ones,

is there anything else?

And this military badge? How'd you get it?

Too many questions at once.

Aren't you forgetting something

more important?

Oh,

what's your name?

I'm Shania.

And yours?

I'm Kevin.

Nice to meet you.

Kevin!

You smell of a trustworthy man.

Is everyone from the Void this odd?

How could that girl come from the Void?

Hello, Envoy.

Can we meet in the command room?

Okay,

I'll be right there.

Black Isle frontliner, Yuna, at your service.

I hope for full cooperation from Sandbar.

Here in Sandbar,

no need for Black Isle's formalities.

You've just helped us with the Blessed Ones.

Thanks.

It was nothing.

The girl from the Void,

she'll come with me to Black Isle.

Though we're allies with Black Isle,

Sandbar is the frontline against the Void.

All suspects

are our concern.

The Shade of Blessing you're after

should have found its way to Sandbar, right?

Sandbar's fight is with the Void and Blessed Ones.

Keep that in mind.

I understand.

Goodbye.

Kevin,

watch her closely.

Don't let her trouble the civilians.

Got it.

But why is the Shade of Blessing in Sandbar?

Terrorists will always be threats.

We must snuff out any danger.

Black Isle frontliner, Yuna.

And,

the Void girl is in your care too.

Black Isle,

Void,

this is complex now.

This smell...

Did he follow me here?

That bastard!

As I expected, you're here,

Shan.

Blessed Ones are coming from Northern Border Sector 4

to Southern Border Sector 5.

What's with today?

Why would there be so many of them?

Remember?

It's the Moonless Night.

Moonless Night?

Blessed Ones swarm on every Moonless Night.

With a Black Isle frontliner's help,

we might catch a break early tonight.

Okay.

Guys,

get ready!

We could wrap this up soon.

Yes!

Squad One, handle the Blessed Ones in the frontline.

Squad Two, cover our north.

Squad Three, take on the south group.

My instructor was right,

Sandbar's border troops are tough.

Now,

witness what a Black Isle frontliner can do.

The Blessed Ones are a bit off tonight.

Off how?

Usually, they come straight to our bases,

but now...

Blessed Ones are stretching our battle line thin.

They're dividing our forces.

What's their game?

Shan,

I'm here for you.

The breach is through!

Move!

My landing scene

is quite splendid, right?

Beauty.

What a surprise.

You're with the Shade of Blessing, right?

The Shade of Blessing...

Do I know them?

Memory's hazy at my age.

Impressive.

You're only the second woman to ever wound me.

Maybe the third.

I like that fire in your eyes.

You smell familiar.

I've been searching for so long,

and here you are.

Too bad,

you're not her.

Don't be delusional.

Why would a beautiful girl like her

of all people, fall for a monster?

(Self-reflection)

She actually...

Your opponent is me.

Shan,

you've made finding you easy.

I should be the one saying that.

Are you here for revenge?

Not at all.

I'm here to repay a debt!

Repay a debt?

My dad always said,

"An eye for an eye,

a tooth for a tooth."

Once I defeat you,

I'll consider it as repaying his kindness.

Let's end this.

Transform!

That military badge...

As I expected.

He's no amateur.

I know,

but...

neither am I!

Good power.

Two-on-one,

now it's a fight.

Go to hell!

It's like facing your dad again,

that same drive to kill each other.

The thrill is addictive,

so awesome!

I want to

end you all!

What's this?

Such powerful blessed energy.

All techniques are down.

What's happening in there?

Request full defenses.

Hold on.

Shan.

Think you can escape the Void?

It's futile.

You'll end up like your dad.

You're wrong.

I'm not fleeing.

I'm upholding my dad's legacy.

Spare me the nonsense.

I'm seeking a hero

who can save the world

with the faith to wipe out the Void.

That

is my quest.

With the power of destruction and rebirth,

I bring blessings to this world!

Yes, I remember that power,

but

can you really beat the endless Void?
