=The Journey of Legend=

=Episode 11=

Miss Tang, we've searched Xiao Qiushui, yet no special items were found.

(This is the first time the Power Gang has responded to Tang Song)

(just to intercept Xiao Qiushui and obtain the Hero Token.)

(I'll pry the Hero Token's location out of him.)

Who are you?

Didn't Tang Fang tell you?

In the Tang Sect, she and I are known as sisters.

She asked me to take care of you.

What did you make me eat?

Even the most formidable martial artist

will obediently comply

after swallowing this special pill.

Tell me

about the Hero Token

and your dirty secrets.

Who are you?

Well,

Xiao Qiushui from the Huanhua Sect.

Between Tang Fang and me,

who's prettier?

You...

You're slightly uglier than her.

What?

Your poisoning has decayed your hand.

- You... - Qing!

Stop it!

Did you get the Hero Token's location?

Xiao Qiushui, answer me.

Where is the Hero Token now?

Within the Tang Sect.

Tang Song, that's impossible!

I've searched both him and Tang Fang.

No Hero Token was found.

Xiao Qiushui.

Xiao Qiushui!

Tell me. Where exactly did you hide the Hero Token in the Tang Sect?

Didn't I just tell you?

The Hero Token

is buried somewhere in the Tang Sect.

I only remember it's in the bamboo forest.

Seems he took precautions before entering the Tang Sect.

Let's go.

A pair of idiots!

Good thing I prepared in advance.

Lady Tang.

If one gets poisoned by the Tang Sect, is there an antidote?

It's not that I don't trust you.

Inside are antidote pills, my sect's treasures.

They neutralize all common poisons,

but only work for four hours.

(Tang Fang never mentioned villains like them in the Tang Sect.)

(How is she doing now?)

Miss!

Miss!

Are you alright, Miss?

He said half a kilometer out. We dug up the whole field for nothing.

There's no Hero Token!

Could Xiao Qiushui have lied to us?

Impossible!

No one resists those special pills.

He couldn't have lied.

Xiao Qiushui! Are you okay?

I'm fine. Good thing you gave me those antidote pills.

Get out of here.

Xiao Qiushui!

Xiao Qiushui! How dare you deceive us!

I didn't!

Found anything?

Tang Fang, you don't have to die with Xiao Qiushui.

Beg me,

and I might spare you out of pity.

Tang Song.

What's wrong with him?

Mr. Qiushui, my apologies for offending you.

With the Hero Token in your possession, you needn't fear for your safety.

I can arrange your meeting with Madam Tang.

Her experience in the martial world will help you handle the Hero Token

to end your family's crisis and restrain the predators.

Let me tell you the truth.

The Hero Token

has truly been taken by the Power Gang.

You still refuse to speak the truth?

How do you know I'm lying?

Answer me. Did the Power Gang tell you they don't have the Hero Token?

Are you actually colluding with the Power Gang?

Tang Fang, what gives you the right to interrogate me?

You went to the Xiao's solely to obtain the Hero Token.

Mr. Qiushui, that's her only purpose.

Don't you realize that?

Tang Fang.

I've told the elders about you bringing a stranger into the sect.

Why isn't your father looking for you?

Could it be that he's badly injured?

Then the main family branch is in trouble.

Why don't you beg me to marry you?

I might give your family a chance to live.

My father is in the middle of improving his internal energy.

He's in retreat, which is normal.

If you dare, go and disturb my father.

I'm really curious

whether my father will let you leave in one piece.

If you don't, shut up and move aside!

- You... - Wait.

Let me interject. After hearing your conversation,

I realize the Tang Sect is full of schemes

and infighting.

That's the truth.

How else would we survive?

Wait!

Now that I'm here,

I'll follow your sect's rules.

Look behind you!

Run!

- Go that way. - Xiao Qiushui.

Yes, Tang Fang?

I'm sorry.

I've been scheming to follow you for the Book of Oblivion.

Yet you trust me as a friend.

I brought you to the Tang Sect because I hoped to help your family

and then demand repayment.

I did it all for my own selfish desires.

Tang Fang.

I don't know where the Book of Oblivion is.

But if we find Yan Kuangtu, we might learn its whereabouts.

Once my family's crisis is resolved

and I locate the Book of Oblivion,

I'll tell you immediately.

Thank you.

Over there.

Let's go.

No time to hesitate. Jump!

Get out of the way!

Careful! You overshot.

Your clothes are torn.

Look.

Stay inside! Nobody looks!

You want a fight?

I swore an oath. If any man sees my body,

they must die.

You...

What a reckless oath!

If I hadn't caught you, you'd be in the river!

When my father wasn't a leader yet,

other factions bullied my family.

One day, while I bathed, they barged in

to humiliate me.

My mother killed them all.

That day,

I swore

I would practice relentlessly.

Any man who sees my body dies.

It depends on the context.

Villains deserve death.

But I just saved you!

Mother said only my husband may see my body. No exceptions.

Are you kidding me?

That's my oath, anyway. Don't overthink it.

Let me ask.

The vow you made when you were young

is full of loopholes.

If someone glimpses you accidentally,

but not clearly,

must they die too?

Who knows if it's accidental or intentional?

I swore by my late mother. I won't break it.

Madness! What twisted logic!

That's it.

You see me as your friend. Then, will you kill me?

As I said,

no exceptions.

I don't want to fight you.

You step aside.

No.

Excuse me, you two.

Hearing your conversation, I have to interrupt.

You don't want to die, right?

You don't want to kill him, right?

There's another solution.

You marry her.

Miss, I can see that you don't want to kill him.

But you can't stay on my boat forever.

I-I marry her?

She's right.

You only have one choice if you want to live.

Marry me.

Come on. Marriage isn't a game.

How could you decide so casually?

I can't break my oath. Besides, I have urgent matters.

I'll spare you temporarily.

Also, I realize

I need someone to help me breach Tang Sect's Qianluo Formation

to get rid of Tang Song.

Otherwise, I'd have to...

I'll help with that.

But you're right.

I promised Rou.

Is it hard to breach that formation?

It's dangerous, actually.

If you survive it, I'll marry you.

I'll just divorce you when the time comes.

I hope you'll keep your word.

It's a deal.

I'm sorry for disturbing.

Take this money as my apology and wedding gift.

Happy wedding.

May you be happy and have a child soon.

Stop staring. Don't listen to her. We need to hurry to Guangling.

How do you get there? Do you have a map?

Jinzhong map?

These red marks must be their hidden outposts.

I went to Tang Song's room to find you, but you weren't there.

I saw him lock this in a drawer.

He said

he spent great effort

marking all Power Gang's outposts.

I assume these red-marked sects

have all turned to the Power Gang.

Look, these outposts are all built along the critical route to Guangling.

Unexpectedly, Wuhu Sect, Tanglang Sect,

and even the Wuyi Gang

have surrendered to the Power Gang.

With these outposts in the way,

Yiren's rescue operations from Guangling to Sword Retreat

will be hindered.

He can take a detour.

If he can't,

find a way

to clear these obstacles.

Then it's a deal. Remember,

after your family's crisis is over, you breach the formation, or I'll end you.

No rush

to talk about that right now.

You don't overthink it.

Let's play it by ear.

Come on.

Spread word

that Xiao Qiushui and Tang Fang have left for Guangling with Hero Token.

You want to spread news of the Hero Token?

They think they can escape me?

No way.

Once news spreads,

people will hunt Xiao Qiushui.

Let's see how long he survives.

(Xiao Residence)

Kaiyan.

Xueyu.

You may leave now.

Any word from Sword Retreat? What did father say?

Just routine safety reports from ferry checkpoints.

Father hasn't replied.

I fear

the clues and evidence in the village will be erased soon.

Let's revisit the village to find evidence through inspection.

Agreed.

These herbs for pills

might help devise an antidote for the villagers.

Xueyu.

Are you hurt?

Check on Kaiyan.

Kaiyan.

His internal energy is temporarily blocked. Not serious.

- Kaiyan. - Kaiyan.

What happened?

- Are you okay? - What's wrong?

Had I not arrived in time,

you'd both be dead.

How many times must I say? No reckless actions!

That man in black

came to destroy evidence.

We must do something.

As I said, prioritize the bigger picture and the Xiao family!

What can you do if you obtain evidence now?

Will the Power Gang reason with us?

It'll just publicly pit the Xiao family against them.

Yiren.

This is what I just found.

This Oldenlandia herb

closely resembles the Hedyotis herb.

The villagers' poisoning might relate to this.

Yiren, Xueyu acted as any physician would.

She is urgent to save lives.

But it was too dangerous.

That attacker's profound internal energy endangered us.

We should await father's instructions.

Follow his orders.

I know your intentions are good.

But consult me before any future decisions or actions.

I'm not just your brother,

but an acting leader.

Surprisingly, based on your plan,

we've cleared two strongholds

and opened a safe way.

Jinzhong's rescue is now secure.

By Madam Wu's estimated timeline,

Yiren should have returned

from Guangling to Jinzhong by now.

Yet we've seen nothing along the way.

I fear something's gone wrong.

Well, let's buy horses now

and ride immediately to Guangling.

They're mules and donkeys. Can't run fast.

Sir, what do you need? Want to buy a donkey or a horse?

That's a fine horse.

Good eye, sir.

That horse can run far in a day.

But it's expensive.

Where did such a fine horse come from?

I purchased it.

I saw the military stamp on its stirrup.

Tell me the truth.

Where did that horse come from?

It's okay if you don't answer.

We'll have to turn you in.

I'll tell you.

That horse trader claimed

that he passed by here yesterday

and saw this soldier already dead.

Then he took the horse.

My apologies.

This was Madam Wu's messenger sent to Guangling to seek help from Yiren.

With blockades in the way,

Yiren and the others

probably have no idea about the current situation.

So, I must rush back to join Yiren.

The pass ahead marks the border between Chuanjin and Guangling.

Seems the Power Gang has built an outpost there, too.

The terrain's dangerous for an assault.

Further down there's a ferry.

Not under Power Gang's control.

Let's head there first.

Heavy rains have swollen the river.

Ferryboats might be scarce.

We must find a way to try.

Tang Song is such a fool. He's already taken Xiao Qiushui.

Yet he let Xiao Qiushui escape.

Tang Song's been spreading word that Xiao Qiushui has the Hero Token.

Many in the martial world likely plot to ambush Xiao Qiushui now.

Let me kill Tang Song, an incompetent guy.

You have more crucial tasks to do.

Before Xiao Qiushui bid farewell to Madam Wu,

she dismissed others to speak with him privately.

Thus, it's possible that he has the Hero Token.

From today on,

whoever brings Xiao Qiushui to the Power Gang

shall receive this Wind Token.

But this token is your personal stuff.

It allows the holder to ask a favor of you.

The gang leader warned that this token could trap you.

So, he has banned it.

No worries.

Just kill the holder before he makes demands.

Xiao Qiushui failed to seek help, so he must be rushing to Guangling.

Go intercept him immediately.

Yes.

Is Tang Fang

still accompanying Xiao Qiushui?

Exactly.

Feng!

I stole this cake from the kitchen.

You eat quickly before they notice.

(Guangling is the Sword King's territory.)

(Tang Fang's also in Guangling.)

Fang.

Here you are.

Come again if you like it.

I got you some food.

The situation's urgent. Time's pressing.

Check nearby for any inns.

I'll look for boatmen in that direction

to secure a boat departing early tomorrow morning.

Be cautious.

Hyah!

(Father, Mother.)

(Are you safe?)

(Wait for my return.)

(I'll hurry back as fast as I can.)

- Sir! - Yes?

Are there other ferry ports or boatmen nearby?

None.

Thanks.

Young man.

I heard you were seeking an inn.

There's an inn called Ferry Inn. Two rascals are running it.

Your friend might get swindled. Be careful.

(Ferry Inn)

Anyone here?

(Tie Xingyue, King of Farts) Is the innkeeper here?

Yes, here I am.

(Qiu Nangu, Iron Mouth). Are you alone, sir?

You're the innkeeper?

Yes, I am.

Did you convert this inn from a cattle shed?

It's dirty and smelly, reeking of cow dung.

Is this fit for lodging?

Listen, sir.

I rarely get guests, so cleaning's been neglected. Apologies.

Let me tidy up immediately.

Don't bother. I won't stay.

It's easy to come in,

but it's hard to get out.

You...

- Good acting. - I know.

Tang Fang's hidden weapons are impressive.

But your knockout powder's better and makes people collapse instantly.

No one in this world can resist my knockout powder.

But speaking of which,

wasn't Xiao Qiushui supposed to come with Tang Fang?

Why hasn't he shown up yet?

Be patient.

Xiao Qiushui will surely come to rescue Tang Fang.

We'll wait here.

Right, we'll wait and ambush him.

Speak of the devil!

- Let's move. - Go!

Quick! Antidote!

Antidote! Come on!

Here you are.

Tell me.

Who are you?

I'm Tie Xingyue, nicknamed King of Farts.

I'm Qiu Nangu, nicknamed Iron Mouth.

Heard of us?

Where's the girl?

You're here to save her?

Are you Xiao Qiushui?

So, your target is Xiao Qiushui?

Not our target. The Power Gang wants him.

Liu Suifeng of the Power Gang declares

that whoever takes Xiao Qiushui will get a token in exchange.

That token's incredibly valuable.

It can even help us join the Power Gang.

So, you want to turn to Liu Suifeng and join the Power Gang?

Liu Suifeng is a tempting choice,

but we've contacted the Sword King of the Power Gang.

We never meet him.

But we're loyal. We won't turn to someone else.

Yes. Good point.

If we deliver Liu Suifeng's target to the Sword King,

the Sword King will be pleased.

I'm interrogating him! Why'd you spill everything?

- You idiot. - You started it!

Are you Xiao Qiushui or not?

Get up and speak.

Honestly, I just hit you hard.

Sorry about that.

However,

you're mistaken. I'm not Xiao Qiushui.

Why should I believe you? Any proof?

My name's Xiao Donghuo.

Wait!

Xiao Donghuo? Your name...

Sounds familiar, right?

I know Xiao Qiushui well.

He's a distant relative of mine.

Only the girl you caught and I know

where Xiao Qiushui hides.

Why's she with you instead of Xiao Qiushui?

To be honest,

she's fallen out with Xiao Qiushui.

So, she asked me to teach him a lesson.

So, if you want to find Xiao Qiushui,

you'll need to ask her.

We heard from the martial world

that Xiao Qiushui carries the Hero Token to Guangling.

We failed to seize him,

but got Xiao Donghuo instead.

Wait, he's tricking us!

Hey!

The Hero Token is valuable.

If Xiao Qiushui knows the Power Gang wants the Hero Token,

he will run and hide.

You wise man, here you go.

Share your thoughts.

Good judgment. That liquor's poisoned. Don't drink.

You got a point.

We don't have the girl right now.

If you keep lying,

I'll beat you up.

Wait! No need for that!

I'm telling you the truth.

We already gave her to the contact of the Sword King.

That is, Zuo Changsheng, known as the First Cave Demon.

He'll present her to the Sword King.

Truth?

I swear it's true!

If you doubt it, stab me with that sword.

Don't hurt my buddy!

You get out of here. Young man, stab me instead!

You'll believe us after stabbing me!

- Stab me! - Stab me!

He's weak! Stab me instead!

Enough! Shut up!

You've made a huge mistake.

How so?

If First Cave Demon pries Xiao Qiushui out of Tang Fang,

he will give Xiao Qiushui to the Sword King.

Then he will take credit instead.

- He's right! - He's right!

Priority now is

to find the First Cave Demon,

then secretly retrieve Tang Fang.

Look, he's not stabbing either of us

and giving solutions.

I like him. We can be friends with him.

Since he's our friend

and that girl matters so much to him, we must help get her back.

Sure.

Donghuo.

We'll help you.

We'll lead the way.

Young Master.

I got word. Sword King's men have seized Tang Fang.

What about Xiao Qiushui?

Guangling is under Sword King's control. He's removed our spies there.

Xiao Qiushui's whereabouts remain unknown.

I guess he's seeking help from someone.

He will go to find Qu Hanshan,

one of the three powerful men

in Guangling.

I've also dispatched men to inquire about Tang Fang.

Both Tang Fang and the Hero Token

must be secured.

Understood.

Tang Fang is dear to your heart. She's your soft spot.

I spoke out of turn.

You may leave.

Yes.
