And so then, at some point,
He comes up with this plan

that in order to save billions
of his creation from doom,

He has to sacrifice
Himself, in human form.

- I think the name you're
looking for is Jesus, but yes.

Yes, go ahead.

- (laughs) It just doesn't make
any sense.

I mean, why wouldn't He just
create five clones of Himself

instead of an only Son?

And then, why even require
sacrifice at all instead of
like,

I don't know, just pardoning
everyone?

And then look at the math.

I mean really look at these
numbers.

Trade one human life to save
billions

of others for eternity.

God made a pretty sweet deal
with Himself.

Okay, and then look at this one.

If this sacrifice was supposed
to be this huge reckoning,

then why allegedly bring Him
back to life?

It's not a sacrifice if
you get to come right back.

- You sure know a lot of
theology for an atheist.

from a religious family.

- My point is, if you really
think about it critically,

like outside the box, this
whole thing is illogical.

I mean, why would a god make
that plan?

to your God questions.

Well, somewhat of an answer.

points theologically,

but, I don't think that's
what this is about.

What I heard you ask was why.

Why would God do things in a
certain way

when He could do them in a
different way

that makes more sense to you?

And because you don't have a
clear answer

to the question of why, you
concluded that it's all fake,

that those things explained in
scripture

just don't make logical sense to
you.

Sound correct?
- For the most part.

- Well, that puts you
in a convenient position

because the only one that can
answer that question of why

you claim doesn't exist.

It's a never ending loop.

I think you and I are a lot
alike.

I used to be sitting right where
you are,

those same skeptical questions,

just comfortable enough to
keep God at arm's length.

But you know what?

God's patient,

and He loved me right where I
was,

through the doubt, my
stubbornness.

And I believe if you'll just
open yourself up to the idea

that He's real,

give Him a chance to reveal
Himself to you personally,

I believe He'll do it.

- What if you've tried that and
He didn't?

- We all have our own
personal struggles in life,

those significant moments that
define us,

and He knows every one of them.

And that's why I say if
you just give Him a chance,

ask Him your questions, ask Him
why,

give Him the opportunity
in your heart to answer you

and show you that He's real.
