And it's rewarding and
fulfilling,

and I know that it's
what I was meant to do

Like it looks a lot like
those soldier patches.

a couple of weeks ago.

Wallet, cash, keys,
all of that were in it.

Called us asking how we'd
get a driver's license

and, and, and bum some
cash and all of that.

- Did he file a police report?

- For a lost backpack?

No, no, no, no.

He, he, he didn't think
anything was stolen or anything.

(dramatic music)

- Hey, Long, send me the
photo of the backpack

from the bomb.

- Wha-what do you mean?

I mean, we haven't publicly
released the manner in, in,

in which the guy...

- Don't, don't gimme that.

Last time we talked you said
backpack.

- I'm not feeling very
good about Gary's Repairs.

I know you love tinkering
with these things,

but our finances can't handle
the dip

we've been going through much
longer.

And I'm not sure that these
electronics are your strength.

- Becky, I've always been
good at fixing stuff.

Yeah, I'm a little rusty.

But once I get my soldering
hand back and, you know,

a supply chain and some of these
shops...

- You're not any good at fixing
this junk.

I'm sorry, somebody had to tell

This is what God's given me.

I was a cop and before that
I tinkered with electronics.

I'm terrible at this, this
modern high tech stuff.

I didn't go to college.

So what am I supposed to do

Just go back to being
detective somewhere else.

God closed that door in my
heart, and it's not my place

to open it.

- If the door is closed,

but going forward instead.

And I know you're gonna say it's

but I got canceled debit cards,

reissued driver's license, bus
receipts

that prove that he lost it.

So if it were me, and I was
looking for the real bomb maker,

I'd be looking at the bus
camera footage on route nine

between the 20th and the 22nd.

Or better yet, Gary Travis, PI.

- It's just Travis, you want

- We picked up the wrong guy.

The stolen backpack was used
to throw us off, apparently.

Now the bureau has a
whole mess to clean up,

when they let him out.

We got our own Richard
Jewell dilemma here.

- Oh, you mean the guy's life
you wrecked,

because he was wrongfully
accused.

- Unfortunately.
- Yeah.

But that's pretty impressive
work there

for a former law enforcement
officer.

I mean, it took a team of
people across multiple floors up

there to figure out what
one old school cop did

in about a day.

- Our offer still stands.

We could always put in
a good word for you.

Start the interview
process, background check.

- I appreciate it you guys,

but I am all in on my new
business.

- Well, can't say I blame him
for wanting to stay out of it.

But you're gifted Gary, I
mean, you're really good

at what you do.

- And we didn't have the dates

or the bus scheduled yet, so

You know, you could have

to us instead of driving

- That's what it's all
about, gentlemen, repentance.

It's a change in your mind

that causes a change in your
actions.

You're going the wrong way
and by the grace of God,

you start going the right way.

But simply just thinking
about it in your mind,

or feeling it in your
heart, it's not enough.

If the repentance is
real, there'll be action

and serves as evidence.
(dramatic music)

A change that makes things more
right.

And on the topic of change, I
shared this with our pastor,

but this will be the last
week of me leading the group.

Some of you know, God has led
me into a new line of work

and for a season I'll need to
focus on my energies on that.

But, you know, if you
have any old electronics

that need some new life breathe
into 'em.

Taking what we've been given
and and using it for Him.

Ask any guy in this

what's happening in their lives.
