Madam, Mr. Feng Lang woke up.

Let's check on him.

How is he doing?

The sword wound missed vital points, though deep.

But the palm strike burned all his lung meridians

with internal energy.

Madam Wu, there isn't much I can do.

Why is this happening? Why?

Qiushui.

Don't move.

It's pointless.

I was seriously injured as a child.

Though a master cured me, the injury took a toll on me.

Kang Chuyu's palm strike must have landed on my old wounds.

Who was this master? We'll find him.

That master was reclusive and aloof.

He declared all debts settled after healing me.

He wouldn't help again even if you found him.

Feng Lang, can you tell us who he is?

If he's from the martial world, I might be able to reach out.

He was

Master Dayin.

But he roams the world freely.

No one knows his whereabouts.

The Xiao family suffered casualties, Mr. Tang Rou perished here,

and you are gravely injured.

I can't bear seeing you die untreated.

Master Zhang, will you do me a favor?

Please speak freely.

Take the Hero Token with you

and carry Mr. Feng to search the martial world for Master Dayin.

Seeing the Hero Token,

the righteous martial artists will help you find that master.

Please don't.

Madam Wu, my job was to guard you and this token.

How can I use it for myself?

The Hero Token

was forged by leaders of Shaolin, Wudang, and Emei.

It was meant to save the nation and punish evil.

Yet for decades, it's only brought bloodshed.

Now, using it to save lives

fulfills its true purpose.

Don't you agree?

That's right.

- Mr. Feng, please accept it. - Madam Wu.

Master Zhang, will you help me?

By your command.

It's a matter of life and death. Do not delay.

Master Zhang, please set out this afternoon.

Understood.

Thank you for your help, Madam Wu.

Thank you, Madam.

Feng Lang, take your rest. We'll let him rest.

Let's go.

Madam Wu.

I would love to escort Mr. Feng and Master Zhang.

Mr. Feng put himself at risk for you.

I truly admire his chivalry and dedication.

Therefore, I wish to contribute.

Besides, I can attend to Mr. Feng more carefully as a girl.

I can also assist Master Zhang.

Your kindness is appreciated.

Go with them.

Lady Tang.

You're a nice and innocent girl.

Stay true to yourself no matter what.

Father.

Are you hurting again?

(Tang Yaoshun, Tang family leader) Yan Kuangtu

injured me gravely on Mount Wuxing.

I've tried everything.

- Perhaps, only... - The Book of Oblivion?

Is that your last resort?

But Yan Kuangtu is long gone. How am I supposed to find him?

You don't necessarily have to find him.

The Book of Oblivion has resurfaced.

Yu Zhiliao from the Clueless Gate knows everything in the martial world.

Father, I'll visit the Clueless Gate and ask Yu Zhiliao

for information.

Fang.

The Law of the Jungle applies even in our family.

People only respect us when I am the family leader.

If anyone finds out that I'm injured,

our whole branch will perish.

Fang, I'm counting on you.

You have to find the Book of Oblivion

and cure me for our whole branch to survive.

Lady Tang, why don't you pack up?

Let's meet in Mr. Feng's chamber later.

I'm not dying yet.

Qiushui, you don't have to stay and look after me.

I should have protected Tang Rou,

but he died because of me.

Feng Lang, I just thought that you were different from what I had in mind.

You didn't have to prove anything.

Don't worry.

Since you call me the Lucky Bag, I'll do my best to stay alive

and bring you luck when you need me.

Qiushui.

Qiushui, Chaoran said that he would avenge Tang Rou. I couldn't stop him.

Get some rest.

- Where are you going? - Chaoran.

Chaoran, stop there.

You...

Qiushui, let me go. I have to avenge Tang Rou.

How?

I'll kill everyone from the Power Gang I run into.

And then what?

Then, we'll see.

Then I'll watch them kill you

and lose another friend?

But I can't let it go, Qiushui.

Get up.

Get up!

I can't, either.

When I first saw you,

I swore that I'd protect all of you.

But in the end, I failed.

Guys,

impulsiveness serves nothing.

The only thing we can do

is to find our enemy

and avenge Tang Rou and our buddies.

Qiushui, the Power Gang is way too powerful.

How and when can we take revenge?

I know it's difficult.

But I'll take them down one day.

Qiushui.

I believe in you.

Me too.

Let's return to help the Xiao family.

Then we can take down the Power Gang to avenge Tang Rou.

Alright.

The Hailin Sect may be far, but our branch is close to Chuanjin.

I'll go back and ask my father for help.

Mr. Qu is also at the Sword Retreat. I'll ask the Qu family for help.

The ladies can send their friends to help.

Qiushui, here's my favorite booze. I want you to have it.

Take care.

Alright, guys.

Be very careful.

Try to avoid that despicable Kang Chuyu.

I truly despise that man.

He became a lackey of the Power Gang.

We've been so close to him for years.

My seniors once even said that

he cultivated ice-cold internal energy

to unleash the power of the Hanhao Stone,

which was "awe-inspiring".

Unbelievable.

Qiushui, we'll get going and wait to avenge Tang Rou.

Qiushui.

- Take care. - Take care.

Take care.

(Wu)

(My seniors once even said that)

(he cultivated ice-cold internal energy)

(to unleash the power of the Hanhao Stone.)

(The sword wound missed vital points, though deep.)

(But the palm strike burned all his lung meridians)

(with internal energy.)

(We will cure you. Then I'll borrow the Hero Token.)

(Madam Wu is kind. I bet she will understand.)

They say this box made by foreign handicraftsmen has two layers.

The inner stores items while the outer contains corrosive liquid.

Without this mechanism,

the Hero Token would've been taken last night.

Master Zhang, are you opening it now?

Yesterday's fight might have damaged the box.

In that case, the corrosive liquid could destroy the Hero Token.

(All heroes heed the divine token's call.)

All heroes heed the divine token's call.

So this...

This is the Hero Token.

I'll keep it for you.

You faked your injury.

Master Zhang isn't so badly injured, either.

Madam Wu is kind, but I've always distrusted you.

It was you all along.

So what?

What did you do to her?

Dream-Bound Incense.

Who are you?

You're one of those who destroyed Herbal Valley 15 years ago,

aren't you?

Seems I hit the mark.

Master Zhang, it's been 15 years. It's time to settle the debt.

(My job is done.)

(I can take her with me.)

(The rest can wait.)

What happened to her?

Just drowsy.

Huh.

How are you standing again?

Aren't you glad I'm recovering, Qiushui?

Recovering?

Glad?

Kang Chuyu cultivated ice-cold internal energy.

Your lung meridians were burnt.

So you've been acting all along.

That's right.

Xiao Qiushui.

I'm here on behalf of the Power Gang to claim the Hero Token.

No wonder you claimed

that the world unites through profit.

You've been their pawn all along.

Qiushui.

Do you truly believe I meant to deceive you?

You called me Lucky Bag. How do you like your luck now?

You're sick.

Not as much as your Xiao family and the Huanhua Sect.

Your father Xiao Xilou is the true hypocrite.

Nonsense. My father is honorable.

He'd sacrifice himself

to protect the world.

How dare you

judge my father?

He appears to be righteous.

Yet how many vile deeds has he done?

You have no idea.

Your filthy lies

sicken me further.

You oath-breaker.

Oath-breaker?

You still believe in oaths?

I made that bet with you at Lingliang Town

to show you whether people unite through profit or righteousness.

In the end, you'll see.

You and your entire family are absolutely laughable and pathetic.

Young Master, General Wu Jie's troops are approaching.

At least,

I didn't...

I didn't fail

Rou's trust.

Xiao Qiushui.

Xiao Qiushui.

Xiao Qiushui.

Young Master.

If you are still mad,

I'll find a chance to kill them both.

Mark my words.

Harm Tang Fang,

and I'll kill you.

Please forgive me.

I didn't realize Lady Tang's significance.

I'll forbid everyone from harming her.

Xiao Qiushui.

I spared your life today.

You'll live to witness this chaos.

Let's see

if you still believe in righteousness.

Song Mingzhu.

I've obtained the Hero Token.

The siege on the Xiao family

will only tighten.

Once they run out of water supply,

I'll get in the Sword Retreat

and drag Xiao Xilou's corpse to Herbal Valley as a tribute.

Understood.

Young Master.

I know you hate the Pine Stone Pills.

But you faked the lung meridian injuries with the Thunder Sting Technique.

It harms your health.

Please take one to speed up your recovery.

Song Mingzhu.

Just complete the tasks I assigned you.

Don't meddle with

my matters.

Understood.

Those who oppose me in the gang

must be rooted out one by one.

Or they'll forget that I am the deputy gang leader.

Let's go back.

- Greetings, Madam Wu. - Greetings, Madam Wu.

Why did you bring troops here?

Where's my son?

Madam.

A month ago, the court falsely accused General Wu of failing to defend the pass

and put him in jail.

So we abandoned our military status and retreated to the mountains.

Get up.

Up.

You're Daxi soldiers, after all.

How can you just leave?

With General Wu there, we were defenders of Daxi.

But without him, we'd be reassigned as laborers.

Once disbanded, this elite force will no longer exist.

You must save the general

for us to save Daxi.

The emperor's decree

can't be defied.

Madam Wu, your noble title grants influence.

If you plead his case,

you might get the general out of trouble.

We await General Wu's vindication.

- We await General Wu's vindication. - We await General Wu's vindication.

Madam.

Please agree to their plea.

If they go back,

these troops will perish.

It will be a huge loss for Daxi.

Fine.

All of you, rise.

I'll risk this old frame

and journey to the capital.

- Thank you, Madam Wu. - Thank you, Madam Wu.

(Wu)

Tang Rou.

Tang Rou.

Your sister will be fine.

Your sister will definitely be fine.

She'll be alright.

I'm here.

I'm fine.

How is he doing?

Madam Wu, the injury is quite serious but non-fatal.

He will be fine in a few days.

Madam, Master Zhang...

Luckily, his heart meridian sits slightly to the left.

That's how he survived.

But he may never wield a sword again.

(Power Gang)

(Gang Rules)

Who was so bold?

Yeah, I wonder.

The gang leader's in seclusion.

(Ju Xiushan, Waterway King) Who summoned us with the Assembly Drum?

I did.

- Greetings, Master Liu. - Greetings, Master Liu.

I've gathered you here

to seek your advice.

While tracking the Hero Token,

Sword King's men obstructed me at Lingliang Town.

(Mo Feiyuan, Medicine King) Yan Guigui, Iron Cavalry Demon,

(Deng Yuping, Mortal King) suddenly appeared

(The Elder, Snake King)

(Chi Li, Snake Maiden) and sabotaged my plan.

(Yin Gong, Ghost King)

(Zhao Qiuxi, Blade King) I wonder

if Sword King meant to oppose me.

Did Sword King order you

to block me in Lingliang Town

and send Iron Cavalry Demon Yan Guigui and Kang Chuyu

to steal the Hero Token from Madam Wu?

- I... - Sword King didn't do it.

I did.

Gang Rule Fourteen.

All commands require approval from the gang leader or deputy

before execution.

Ju Xiushan.

Do you confess?

But the gang rules

also forbid low-rank members in the Xixian Hall.

Master Liu,

didn't you also violate the rule by dragging

this messenger here?

Let's be flexible.

Yeah. We're all brothers and sisters here.

- Why... - Medicine King, stop playing mediator.

I strictly follow the rules.

This rule about access to the Xixian Hall

applies to the living.

Corpses don't count.

Master Liu, among the Eight Kings, the Sword King reigns supreme.

Shouldn't we revisit this matter later?

The Assembly Drum has sounded.

Sword King and Fire King are absent. As deputy leader,

I shall temporarily fulfill

Sword King's duties.

Even if I've been disrespectful,

I'd only face half-month confinement in the Contemplation Cell.

This is only your first offense.

Secondly,

your subordinate, Iron Demon Fu Tianyi,

embezzled from Jinyin Bank and colluded with enemies.

Thirdly, outside Xiangyang,

Purple Phoenix poisoned me and attempted an assassination.

Today, you won't escape judgment.

Liu Suifeng, Purple Phoenix is your subordinate.

What did I do?

All Kings consumed the gang leader's Better-Dead Pills.

If we kill each other,

the pill will break.

The attackers will be gravely injured,

allowing others to execute them.

You think I can't deal with you?

Is that why you're so relentless?

But remember, one can strike without murderous intent.

(Li Chenzhou, Power Gang's leader) My respects, Master, Madam.

(Zhao Shirong, Flow-Cloud Sleeve Technique)

Master meditates in seclusion. Keep it down.

Must I remind you?

Master, Madam.

Liu Suifeng has grown tyrannical

and he's falsely accusing me now.

Please do me justice.

Master and I

heard your arguments.

You know our rules.

Words without evidence mean nothing.

I have proof.

(Only for Waterway King)

Get up.

- Thank you, Master. - Thank you, Master.

Fu Tianyi sent this confidential letter to me.

It reveals Liu's collusion with Twelve Waterways' Heavenly King Zhu.

After sending it, Fu Tianyi fell prey to Liu Suifeng's tricks

and got killed.

Now Liu Suifeng is framing Fu Tianyi.

It's all part of his scheme to purge rivals and seize power.

Master, Madam.

I'm innocent.

Ju Xiushan.

At your service.

This letter reeks of self-serving fabrication.

This is not proof.

Understood.

- Suifeng. - Master.

Don't blame Xiushan for Purple Phoenix and Fu Tianyi's deeds.

Understood.

Actually, I have a question for you.

Why did you lead so many people

to besiege Xiao family's Sword Retreat, which caused us

a huge casualty?

Master, it was for the Hero Token.

After I learned that Madam Wu was at the Sword Retreat,

I took the initiative to besiege them

before I could write to inform you.

Where's the token now?

(All heroes heed the divine token's call)

Yan Kuangtu.

Surrender the Hero Token.

(Yan Kuangtu, Supreme Master of Martial World)

(All heroes heed the divine token's call)

Yan Kuangtu.

Your massacre proves you unworthy of this token.

You have objections?

Even with 16 sects combined,

you'll only add a dozen corpses to my count.

Fine.

I'll spar with you all today.

If anyone manages to take

the Hero Token from me,

I'll respect their courage.

I shall give them this token,

as well as the Book of Oblivion.

But if you fail to defeat me,

you shall obey my commands henceforth.
