[A Forbidden Marriage]

[Episode 9]

Buhuan,

you're the one I chose.

You're decisive and calculating.

I planned to entrust you

with Biluo Valley and Xuanxuan after I'm gone.

But look,

what have you done?

I overestimated myself.

I didn't expect

there would still be people helping Yuan Yingxing

after the fall of Shengyue Sect.

His escape

caught me completely off guard.

Chief,

please give me another chance.

Another chance?

I've given you

chance after chance.

All I wanted was Yuan Yingxing's head.

Was that so hard?

Now Yuan Yingxing has escaped.

The world is vast.

We can't even find him.

How are we supposed to kill him?

Yuan Yingxing is here.

Chief,

lend me another team of elite archers.

Yuan Yingxing is injured.

If we surround and attack him,

no matter how capable he is,

we'll bring him down.

Good.

Bring his head to me.

Yes, Chief.

You are all elite warriors of Biluo Valley.

Taking down a wounded Yuan Yingxing

shouldn't be a problem.

He's directly south of here.

Once I locate him with my flute,

wait for my signal,

then we'll take him together!

Yes!

Chief,

I've finally found you.

Gold Hall Master, I heard you wanted to kill me?

Chief,

I swear I've always been loyal to you!

Since you're so loyal to me,

I'll just take out your heart and see if it's true.

Release the arrows!

Spare me, Chief!

I'm more useful than a dog, Chief.

Chief!

Jin Buhuan.

If you weren't a disciple of the Shengyue Sect,

you'd be just like them.

You received Shengyue Sect's grace

but dared to betray me.

Tell me,

what should I do with you?

Have mercy, Chief.

I dare not...

I dare not...

A stray dog abandoned by its master—

who would want you now?

You said you needed manpower,

so I didn't hesitate

to send you archers.

You said you could kill Yuan Yingxing,

so I set a trap across all of Biluo Valley

to help you!

But now, we've suffered heavy losses,

and all the archers have fallen.

Oh, Jin Buhuan.

What about your promises?

What about your guarantees?

Someone must have leaked our plan.

Otherwise, how could Yuan Yingxing have escaped?

Chief,

give me another chance.

Chance?

I've already given you a chance.

Not only did you fail to kill Yuan Yingxing—

look at yourself—

you lost an arm

and became a cripple.

Do you expect me to marry Xuanxuan

off to a cripple?

Young Chief is back.

Father.

Where're the offerings?

Father, somehow

people from Yunmen found Qingmu Fortress.

They rescued

all nine children.

Luckily, everyone in Qingmu Fortress is dead.

They won't find any clues.

You can't even watch over a few children.

Do you even deserve your family name?

Can you guarantee

those kids they took

won't say anything?

If they say anything,

then we

will be despised by everyone!

You,

go to Qinglai City immediately.

No matter what excuse you use,

wipe them out.

Kill those children!

We can't let them reveal our secret!

It's...

Go now!

Yes.

Xuanxuan.

Jin Buhuan!

Chief.

I'll give you one last chance.

Yuan Yingxing has been abandoned by all.

He's at the end of his rope.

As long as you kill Yuan Yingxing,

I'll personally officiate your wedding with Xuanxuan.

But if you fail,

your engagement with her will be void.

Yes, Chief.

I will use all my strength

to make sure Yuan Yingxing dies with no grave to be buried in.

Trust—

it's the most fragile thing in this world.

Everyone I trusted

has betrayed me.

Like you.

Like Jin Buhuan.

Yingxing?

You're back?

Why do you smell of blood?

What did Jin Buhuan do to you?

Get lost!

Yingxing,

what is this?

If you hadn't betrayed me,

this would've been your wedding token from me—

the Shengyue Token of our sect.

Yingxing,

I never intended to betray you.

Stay away from me.

Mr. Yang.

We're just leaving like this?

We're not even going to tell Miss Yang and the others?

No buts.

If we keep stalling, we'll delay reporting back again.

Enough talk.

Miss Lu? Why are you back?

Qinglai City isn't exactly close to Yangliu Town.

My father was worried there might be another incident,

so he sent me with people to assist Yunmen in the escort.

What does that mean?

Are you saying you don't trust Yunmen?

Chief Lu means well.

Since it's his goodwill,

I'll respectfully accept it.

You two, help the children into the carriage.

-Yes. -Yes.

Mr. Yang,

it's raining so heavily.

There are so many kids here.

What if they catch cold?

Hurry and light a fire for them.

to just let them die on their own.

The district leader was hesitant,
