I saw your mother last night.

She was a cat who climbed onto my bed...

...and sat on my chest.

When she looked down at me...

...the cat began to cry.

Each of her tears...

...was for a dream that she'd had for you.

A dream of the life you will never have now.

And the man you will never be.

Once I had understood these tears...

...the cat turned into Magdalena.

Only now she had wings.

Like an angel.

And the angel told me...

...to treat you not as my nephew.

But as my son.

And to take great care of you.

And then the angel kissed me...

...and flew away.

Do you understand what this means?

My Spanish...

...isn't good.

From now on...

...every year on this day...

...we'll celebrate your vengeance.

We will honor your mother.

And burn an effigy...

...of the policeman who took Magdalena from us.

This is the gun I used...

...when I killed that cop.

For you.

To thank you...

...for the help you have given me.

Thank you.

It'll have a special place...

...at my sister's shrine.

You must worry no more.

You will stay here with us...

...until things have calmed down in America.

Thank you, Uncle.

It makes me happy...

...that you've returned to me, Jesus.

Your family is going to take care of you...

...here in Mexico.
