(Hate to Love You)

Here you go.

Thank you.

What was that about?

I don't know either.

I recorded a video of it because something bad might be happening.

"Something bad"?

I can gauge situations quickly now that I've worked with them.

Let's talk.

(Episode 110)

Now, explain.

Who was that man?

And that woman he was talking to bought a facial cream at our event.

Did she pay cash or by credit card?

By credit card, I think.

I knew it.

Ms. Jung.

That man does all the dirty work for CEO Kim.

He works for CEO Kim?

They must be up to something.

What could it be?

Yes.

Really?

Okay, got it.

Keep monitoring them. All right.

CEO Kim is trying everything he can as his last attempt.

What's he doing?

I heard the fake factory manager got a woman to buy a face cream.

What do you think they're up to?

It sounds like they'll swap it with another product.

And she'll file a complaint about a reaction? Is that their plan?

That must be it.

I must say, I think we can...

read CEO Kim like a book.

Mr. Hong, why did you let him walk all over you so far?

He's been quiet so far, so I guess CEO Kim didn't have...

any reason to cook up such a ruse.

He wasn't this bad when he used to work for my mother.

So he keeps getting greedier?

All right, then let's go catch that fake factory manager.

Not yet.

What? Why?

I'll let the fake customer complain about the product.

Even bad publicity can be good for marketing.

What?

What he's saying is it wouldn't be bad...

to use the bad publicity to attract people's attention.

So in other words...

For example, people will gather to watch what's going on...

if I grab someone by the collar like this.

Then I can tell the truth...

in front of all the people. Is that sort of what you're saying?

Yes, that's exactly it.

Great idea.

I have nothing to worry about now that you two are working together.

All right, then. Now, we should catch Kim Hee Soo.

Don't make any mistakes. Call me when everything is done.

I have to meet the director of the newsroom.

Why am I so anxious?

Should I have done it myself?

No, no. I can't let anyone find out that I'm involved in this.

Min Ji, pick up already. Please.

The number you have dialed is not available. Please...

Has she arrived in Hawaii or not? Gosh.

This is driving me crazy.

My whole body is aching.

Haeng Ja, I think I've aged too.

My entire body hurts because I worked all day long.

Of course. You moved around so busily today.

If I hadn't worked so hard, we wouldn't have sold that much.

You're right about that. You were impressive today.

I'll give you that.

Everyone has his own talent.

I'm not very good at spotting fake luxury goods,

but I'm good at doing everything else.

You're not very good at it?

Right. You did a good job.

Haeng Ja, let's order jjajangmyeon.

We don't have any cooked rice. When will we prepare dinner?

I'll cook.

Gosh, no. Order delivery food.

While you're at it, order sweet and sour pork too.

- Really? - Yes.

Myung Jo loves sweet and sour pork.

I'm excited.

Excuse me. Who could that be?

Hello?

Yes.

You missed him?

Well... Hold on a second. How could you miss him?

Hey, come here.

What is your boss up to lately?

Is she playing detective?

You should know better than I do.

I'm sure she's scheming something.

But I have no idea what that could be.

Thank you. Goodbye.

Please come again.

We had so many customers today,

so we couldn't go see the event in front of the center.

It should be over by now, right?

Of course. Do you know what time it is?

But still, I'm happy that I made more money.

Who is that? Choong Seo?

I mean, "Honey"?

No. It's Bu Sik.

He said he just got home.

Does he text you to tell that too?

Don't get me started. He barely replies to me...

when I text him five times.

Hey. I'll go see Bu Sik just for a while.

She's overly affectionate.

She just loves her son so much.

Are you going somewhere?

No. I just brought the rest of my stuff.

Anyway, I have a video clip that you must watch.

What video clip?

This.

This is...

That's right. I filmed this at the promotional event today.

That's the thing about habits.

Once I saw him, I started filming him even before I knew.

You never listen to me.

What if you had gotten caught filming this?

We know everything, so don't do anything like this again.

- You knew? - Yes.

So don't follow these people around.

But who knows? It might become important evidence.

In Woo.

All right. I won't do it again.

I told you I accidentally saw him when I went to see the event.

Son, you're home early.

I didn't know you were here.

Hello.

I'll send this to you later.

Bu Sik.

Are you dating In Woo again?

It's not like that. It was about the work at the center.

She got fired from the center a long time ago.

The same goes for you.

- Bu Sik. - She's still my friend.

We've known each other for a long time.

That's the reason, isn't it? You have no other intention, right?

Well, getting back with her after all that happened...

would be crazy.

I saw her at her worst.

How can I accept her as my daughter-in-law?

I can put up with anyone else except for In Woo.

Bear that in your mind.

I saw her at her worst.

How can I accept her as my daughter-in-law?

At my worst?

Right. I hit rock bottom.

What are you doing here?

That's not important. Ms. Jung filmed a video clip.

I got a call from Mr. Byun on my way home.

I already know that, so don't worry.

Can you trust Bu Sik?

Since when?

How did that happen?

It's a long story. In short, Ms. Kim made it happen.

Haeng Ja did?

I'll tell you everything later.

What's all this?

This is the ledger of today's sales.

What is it? Is something wrong?

I've never seen anyone who rolls bills like this.

Haeng Ja always does that.

Isn't it neat and nice?

I'm impressed. You did a good job in writing this.

You're good enough to be the CFO of EJ Cosmetics.

In Jung did this.

Does that mean In Jung is the CFO? Is she?

What about me?

What about me? Tell me. What about me?

You're so jealous. You also nag a lot and even hit me.

I should be saying that.

You keep a lot of secrets from me lately.

You didn't even want to see Bu Sik. What happened between you two?

Tell me now.

I'm exhausted. Let's get some rest just for a while.

I'll tell you after that.

Do you think we're on the right track?

Of course.

I trust Haeng Ja.

Since she invested in this business, it'll become a big hit.

Take a quick nap on my shoulder.

You worked so hard today.

I'll get some rest.

Okay.

Gosh. Eat slowly.

Hey. Slow down. Here you go. Drink this.

Where's Eun Jo?

She'll be home after finishing up the event.

Hey. Is it that good?

- Yes. - My goodness.

Myung Jo just loves sweet and sour pork.

Who ate my ice cream?

You're about to go to bed. You'll gain weight.

Gain weight?

Being skinny at my age is worse.

I'll go to the store.

Is she really going?

Gosh. You aunt is unbelievably peculiar.

She's really going out.

- Haeng Ja. - Yes?

I'll ask you just one more time.

If you say no again,

I'll get rid of the thought from my mind.

What are you going to ask me about to be so serious?

Suk Pyo received your kidney, right?

Haeng Ja.

Why are you so curious about that?

I told you already that the hospital rules...

I saw the medical records.

It can't be a coincidence because so many things add up. Also,

you and Suk Pyo's mother were acquainted.

My stomach hurts.

Isn't what I'm thinking right? Haeng Ja, come on.

Even if Suk Pyo received it, that doesn't make any difference.

Suk Pyo received what?

It doesn't change anything. However,

I want to know the truth.

It could be helpful for you two since I'm a doctor.

That's why I want to know.

You're right.

Suk Pyo was the one who received my kidney.

I was told that my kidney was a match or something.

What are you saying?

Aunt Eun Jung.

You... You...

I thought you went to buy ice cream.

My stomach hurt, so I came back.

You wanted me to leave to talk about important stuff.

Tell me now.

Did you really donate your kidney to the Hong Suk Pyo I know?

It went to Suk Pyo?

Is this really true?

Gosh, I can't believe it.

This is such big news.

Haeng Ja.

Hey, listen carefully.

You must not tell anyone about it,

especially Suk Pyo and Eun Jo. You understand?

Why is it such a big secret?

If you tell anyone about it, I'll make you go back to the US.

Forget the US. I'll kick you out of this house immediately.

Fine, I won't tell anyone.

Gosh, my stomach... It hurts so much.

Why are you standing there like that?

You're getting on my nerves. Just go to the bathroom.

But why is it a secret...

Hey, do you really want to be kicked out?

All right, you can really trust me this time.

I swear, your secret is safe with me.

My goodness...

Hang on. What did you get from Suk Pyo's family in return?

What are you talking about?

I mean, you gave him your kidney.

Isn't it only normal for his family to give you something in return?

Am I wrong?

Hold on. My gosh...

Haeng Ja, I've actually been curious about that too.

Aunt Eun Jung was probably just asking, but I'm wondering...

How would I know?

All I know is that I signed the form giving consent to donate my kidney.

I got a call about a matching patient and went to the hospital,

and that's when I found out it was Suk Pyo. That's all I know.

Mr. Hong...

If anyone saw them now, they'd totally get the wrong idea.

I kept calling you. Didn't you hear me?

What on earth am I seeing right now?

Don't be like this, please.

They just took a nap because they were tired.

It'd be weird to make a fuss about such a thing.

- Aren't I right, Mr. Hong? - Yes, you're right.

Ms. Gil, do you have a health problem?

I know that you've been working hard because of the product launch,

but you seem too weak.

Aunt Jong Hee, what brings you here anyway?

Just leave if you're going to talk such nonsense.

Suk Pyo, I can't even be concerned for Ms. Gil?

You obviously didn't say that out of concern. That was mean.

Suk Pyo, please.

It's a report on the feedback we got from all the stores and clinics.

I wanted to drop it off because I thought you'd want to know,

but I shouldn't have come.

I'm off.

Well, if she leaves like this... Wait, Director Goo.

Jong Hee, wait.

Couldn't you have talked to her nicely?

I hate it when my aunt is rude to other people,

thinking that she's doing what's best for me.

You look tired. Let's go. I'll drive you home.

Eun Jo.

We're here.

I guess I've been making you work too hard.

If this keeps happening, Ms. Kim might fire me.

I'm okay. It's just because I didn't get a lot of sleep for a few days.

You must be as tired as I am.

You should get going.

You don't need to walk me home.

I'll pick you up tomorrow.

I hope you sleep well tonight.

Bye.

Hello?

Ms. Gil, can we talk for a few minutes?

I hope you don't get the wrong idea about what you saw earlier.

What I saw earlier? Why would I get the wrong idea about it?

I'm not interested in other people's private lives,

even if it's Suk Pyo.

I wanted to see you because there's something I want to ask.

Sure, please go ahead.

I saw your medication at the beauty center.

I know what those pills are...

because Suk Pyo also has to take them for the rest of his life.

Can you please tell me why you're on that medication?

Is it what I think it is?

Yes.

I also got a kidney transplant.

When?

A little over 10 years ago.

Really? This is getting even more complicated.

Is there a problem with it?

Suk Pyo will get his CEO position back at the shareholders' meeting.

Do you think you're the right partner for the CEO of Genius?

Try to reflect on yourself, and ponder upon it.

I think I'm definitely good enough for him.

Is that so? That's very different from what I think.

If Suk Pyo and I have problems,

we'll solve them ourselves.

Are you telling me not to meddle in your business?

Because I'm neither Suk Pyo's mom nor his real aunt?

Are you saying I shouldn't get involved as I'm a distant relative?

I guess that sounded a bit rude,

but that is what I think.

I must say, you're very daring.

All right, I now know what you think.

Oh, right. Can you get pregnant?

It's important to us as women in our family had trouble conceiving.

Don't think about anything, and sleep tight tonight, Eun Jo.

(I love you.)

(I love you.)

What's this about?

What's she doing?

It wasn't easy for me to send that. Why isn't she responding?

What are you doing?

He's honking outside.

Suk Pyo is already here?

It seems so.

What's the matter?

Suk Pyo and...

Never mind.

I should keep it to myself if I don't want to get kicked out.

What is it about?

I hope things go well with Suk Pyo.

I want to benefit from having a rich in-law.

Why are you standing there? Hurry up.

Where's Suk Pyo?

Oh, something came up because of the shareholders' meeting.

I'm here because he asked me to pick you up.

You look so disappointed.

No, I'm not disappointed.

He's not dealing with something bad, is he?

No, it happens commonly before shareholders' meetings.

All right, then. Please get in, Ms. Gil.

Thank you, Secretary Lee.

("Excessive Amount of Preservatives Found in EJ One's Products")

("Utter Failure of Genius' Former CEO?")

"It turns out that Genius' former CEO Hong Suk Pyo's..."

"ambitious new products are filled with preservatives."

Yes, I'm reading it too.

How can you joke in a situation like this?

A current affairs TV show will talk about it this evening.

So will an evening news show.

That would be great.

That'll help to promote our product greatly.

Hong Suk Pyo.

The media will report otherwise after the shareholders' meeting.

Why is he so relaxed?

Find that out at the meeting.

I can't believe them.

They left me out.

(The Second Extraordinary Shareholders' Meeting)

Okay. Good.

Dad.

Hi, Secretary Jung. Have a nice day.

This place reminds me of old memories.

It looks like you can change your family name to Hong.

What do you mean by that?

You show up everywhere just like Hong Gil Dong.

I spend my free time on making money. Is there a problem?

In that case, please stay here to the end, so you can help me.

What should I do to help?

If I get involved in a fight,

I'll butt heads with them, so please... What was that?

You know... You can cling to their legs.

Gosh. You're talking nonsense.

Seriously.

Hey. About that job...

How much will you pay me?

Mr. Jung, let me see your doctorate degree.

I just can't believe that you have a PhD.

- 10 dollars for seeing it. - What?

Gosh.

- Come in. - Ms. Kim. Ms. Kim.

She said she'll see you.

Did she?

Wait. The shareholders' meeting will begin shortly.

I know. She's waiting nearby.

The woman who filed a complaint...

- will come to the meeting, right? - Yes, sir.

- And reporters too? - Please don't worry.

CEO Hong will be surprised when he sees the reporters.

Who knows? He might faint again.

I don't think that will happen.

Anyway, Hong Suk Pyo...

Let's take him down once and for all.

Why would a newlywed bride sigh?

What's the point of being a newlywed bride?

The person who needs to get married hasn't gotten married yet.

You mean Bu Sik?

Could there be a good woman for him?

You know a lot of people.

That's not true.

Bok Rae knows more people than anyone else does.

I asked her to find someone whenever I saw her,

but it looks like it's not so easy.

She made it clear that In Woo has no chance with Bu Sik.

Gosh. What am I saying?

I wouldn't approve of a girl like In Woo either.

What should I do about her?

Eun Jo.

I believe nothing bad will happen, but I'm still worried.

Thank you. I'll do well.

You can do this.

(The Second Extraordinary Shareholders' Meeting)

Was this meeting open to public?

Who invited the reporters?

CEO Kim did.

- Do you think that's true? - Is it true?

He brought disgrace on our company.

- What's this? - What's with the agenda?

Please be seated.

Let's begin.

Hello. I'm the chief director of Genius,

Goo Jong Hee.

I will be presiding today's shareholders' meeting.

- A major shareholder hasn't... - I'm late.

I'm sorry.

Now, we'll begin the extraordinary shareholders' meeting.

As you have been notified, today's agenda...

is dismissal of CEO Kim Hee Soo.

Are you Ms. Jo Min Ji?

Yes.

I'm Jo Min Ji.

The video will explain the reason for the dismissal.

Directors, please watch it carefully, and make a wise decision.

Two men have been tailing...

CEO Hong Suk Pyo for the past month.

And they were seen with CEO Kim's closest person...

frequently.

I'll do everything I can...

to get the derma product combination from CEO Hong.

So please tell CEO Kim not to worry.

I'm not sure, but we have to finish it in a month.

CEO Kim, how did that happen?

What should I explain first?

Stealing his technology?

The man in the video once came to see me...

and offered me a deal saying he'll take the technology...

from CEO Hong.

I refused it.

Is there any problem with that?

How will you prove that you refused it?

The derma product has been launched...

under CEO Hong's name. Isn't that enough proof?

Then how about this?

The place where he stores his derma products.

I think he stores the products somewhere near the center.

Find the place.

Byun Bu Sik showed up at the warehouse?

Take care of them both at once.

(Hate to Love You)

- What are you doing here? - Ms. Dong.

I don't disapprove of you because you're poor.

It's because I hate the way you changed.

Could he have hidden something else?

Embezzlement? Bring the evidence!

How about this? Please come in.

Does Haeng Ja know all this?

Why are you worried only about Eun Jo's health?

Suk Pyo had a kidney transplant too.

I'm sure she was determined to leave.

- Have you seen In Woo? - No, I haven't. Why?

You should've found her. Why did you run here instead?
