destroying everything in their path.
The waters rose so high that even the gods\h\h

were terrified, fleeing to the heavens,\h

which they had unleashed themselves.
As the floodwaters began to recede,\h\h

Utnapishtim released a dove and a swallow, both of\h
which returned. Later, he sent out a raven, which\h\h

did not come back, signaling it had found land.
The biblical account of the flood appears\h\h

in Genesis, chapters 6 through 9.
God, witnessing the wickedness that had\h\h

overtaken the Earth, decided to destroy humanity\h
with a great flood, sparing only Noah and his\h\h

family, who lived according to His commandments.
He instructed Noah to build an ark, providing\h\h

detailed specifications for its dimensions.
Unlike Utnapishtim, Noah endured a longer flood;\h\h

the rains fell for forty days and forty nights.
Noah released a raven that did not return. Then,\h\h

he sent out a dove, which came back with an olive\h
branch, indicating that the waters were receding.\h

After the flood, Sitchin recounts that\h
the Earth was left in ruins, prompting\h\h

the Anunnaki to reconsider their actions.
