hello my friends it's the Game Boy geek

here today we're going to be serving

people in our restaurant we've got lots

of customers in our Cafe they're sitting

out there they're waiting for their food

and we want to serve it to them before

they get angry and leave we're going to

the market we're buying groceries we're

looking at D Luigi from Cosmos here uh

this is 2 to four players takes about 30

to 40 minutes to play let me show you

how it's played I'll see you on the

other side for my final thought

in deluigi you will be going to the

market to grab different foods and

you'll be trying to get this food to the

guests and what they're waiting for

before they leave the restaurant at the

beginning of the game you get two

starter cards and you'll grab three food

tubes from the bag and you can place

them if you can for example I can place

this here I can place this here and I

can place this here there's a certain

amount of customers put in this deck

depending on the amount of players and

it's on your turn so when it's your turn

you can basically grab any one of the

Stalls that are here now notice all

these ones start with one Cubes 2 3 and

four now when you grab something from

somewhere you have to grab all the cubes

so if I wanted these two I have to take

both of these now if you take the one

Cube no time goes by if you take these

two one time goes by if you take three

two time goes by if you take four it

takes longer to go to the market to get

all those goods in this case I'm going

to take these two so I'm going to take

this these red and green and time's

going to go by one so now once I took

that I went one time now notice this

says 60 Minutes 50 40 30 20 10 that's

how long the person will wait till they

leave your restaurant so what I will do

is I will move this person one time and

then I will be able to place the cubes

if I can and I actually can finish this

guy here now if he was already here and

want to move them essentially I could

just move this person one or if there's

a whole line of them if this one pushes

he pushes everybody else down with him

now if I have this I can now I would

have only moved him one time and I can

finish him so what I do is I take these

I do not put these in the bag actually

they come out of the game completely so

they don't get put in the back of the

bag and this is going to get me $4 at

the end I will flip this over and place

it here as my finished it'll be the next

player's turn now here also you can see

how many cubes there are of each

color now as people take it's a couple

turns later notice these don't get

refilled the line doesn't get refilled

until the last one of that line goes out

and then three new ones will come out

for each one let's say I take this I'll

take this um and then I will get to use

these cubes obviously it's a little bit

further in the game and I have somebody

that's about to leave my restaurant I

want to finish him now I have a lemon

from a previous uh that was in my

restaurant that I could take now I can

also take any four cubes and make one of

it so these four essentially can become

a wild and be good for any one of these

Goods also those right there any two

brown Goods can be good for any one so

this could be one this could be one and

then I place a red for the final one and

then this guy is done now if at any

point in time I have a guy here has to

leave my restaurant essentially he goes

out of the game I do not get him for

points and I must take a lemon which is

worth minus points at the end now again

on the turn after this is filled this

would get filled from this bag here and

we would essentially fill this up with

three on each one like

this now in addition to that on your

turn instead of going to the market and

getting Goods you can grab new customers

what you'll do is you'll take one

customer by the way that customer that

came out and left my restaurant goes

right there you would take one card one

at a time for every player so in a four

player game you're going to take five

total cards I would flip this and I

would decide whether I want it or not

let's say yes I want it I'd flip another

one I'd give it to somebody else I'd

flip another one maybe want this one cuz

I'm going to end up taking two and the

last two sorry the last three going to

go to the other three players that would

go there that would go there now each of

these guys has sort of a special thing

that happens once you give them away if

someone's giv this one they

automatically get one food cube out of

the bag if they get this one they get

two food cubes out of the bag this one

means one of his one of his patrons that

are in his restaurant has to leave and

basically exit right away this one is

trash I either can get rid of a lemon or

I might have to get rid of of a bouquet

we'll talk about that in just a moment

or I can get rid of a food Cube

basically something has to get trashed

from my restaurant this is time this

means one person has to move you have to

move one person one time this is a

bouquet essentially I get a bouquet

which which is really one point at the

end of the game I get a lemon so this is

forcing someone to take minus one point

and that's just one food Cube those are

the different things that the special

abilities do for each guy you use that

you you basically have to resolve that

as soon as you get a card this will

continue until the entire deck is empty

and then we finish the turns and we go

to final scoring which essentially you'd

flip up all the guys that you had served

you would add up all the money and you'd

get one minus one point for every lemon

one point for every bouquet Whoever has

the most is the

winner there's D Luigi now I must say

that I bought this game off of amazon.de

it does not have a US distributor and

from what I've heard from Cosmos they

don't plan on bringing this to the

United States and there are no English

rules in the game I had to print some

off off of BGG and stuff and even those

were translated a little a little wonky

um so keep that in mind it's hard to get

and you're going to have to print off

some translative rules with that being

said I love the theme uh I love food

games I like them they're fun I love

Everyone likes to you know mess with

food and try to get your guests the game

is very light I'd say it's a entrylevel

Gateway or family level uh Euro an INT

introduction to a Euro game where you're

you're managing resources you're trying

to grab those cubes uh to get the food

to give the people at the same time

you're managing the time as to which one

you going to move forward what you're

looking forward and seeing well who can

I serve next and things like that and it

has a little bit of a take that as well

where you're grabbing the guests and

you're trying to mess with the other

players oh you've got a 20 a 20- minute

guy there here's another 20 it's going

to push your 20 forward your 10's going

to get moved out you're going to lose

that customer so you're purposely trying

to mess people over uh when you grab new

guests which is part of the fun of the

game but just be aware that part of that

take that is really part of the game I

like how when you go for those the

Stalls at the market the ones that you

get more move more time I like how you

know don't refill until it goes there's

a lot of good mechanisms here uh it's

fun it's family level if you just want a

quick Euro game to kind of get your feet

wet and what these Euro type games are

like this is one to look at it's not one

that totally blew me away it's not a bad

game either uh it's just I'd say it's a

just barely above average for me fun the

theme's fun if you looking at for a

family game this is one to check out but

make sure that you can't get it if you

live in North America very easily and

you'll need translated rules and that's
