Do you feel like you're
the forgotten person

in Miles' coming out story?

How could I be
the forgotten person?

I didn't come out, so that
was Miles' coming out story.

So I have nothing
to do with that.

I-- I think him coming out,

um, is important for

the demographic that
watches this show.

Milan, let me know,
what did it feel like for you

to be the first African-American
gay man featured on the show?

Um, I thought it was good.
I thought it was pioneering.

Just like I thought the story
of a male coming out

on television was
groundbreaking.

Because being gay
is the worst thing

that you could possibly be
in our community.

There was times
when I was growing up

that I wanted to kill myself
because I had nowhere to turn.

Everywhere I went,
they turned their back on me,

so I had no one
to look up to.

I had to find
the strength in myself

and become the person
who I am today.

Now, out of
all your endeavors,

what are you
most proud of?

That I'm still here.

You have to be
a very strong person
to deal with this situation.

It's so heartbreaking
to be able to sit here

and be successful

because there's
so many people that are not.

There's so many homeless gay
people on the streets right now

because they have
nowhere to go.

This is not--

This community, we need
to do better for each other.

We're supposed to
love each other.

All lives matter.
Gay lives matter.

Now, Milan, at the start
of the season,

how did you envision
your future with Miles?

[Milan]
You know, um,

I've been telling Hazel for
the last two and a half years,

you know, that Miles
is the person

I want to spend the rest
of my life with, you know?

A person I want to
build my future with.

You know, I fell in love
with a person

who showed me
that he was one way

and I was willing
to follow that

and do everything and
anything to protect that.

my mistake as a human being

because you can't help

I loved him unconditionally.

I was there when nobody else
was there, I played my part.

I disrespected myself
by allowing myself

to be in a relationship
