This is the world of Beyonders.

By drinking potions, humans are able to attain various powers of Beyonders,

and ascend to divinity.

The 22 Pathways begin with the weakest, Sequence 9.

The lower the sequence,

the stronger a Beyonder's abilities.

Strong Beyonders of the higher-level Sequences can wield powers strong enough to rival gods.

This path of evolution is called:

the Path of the Divine.

Episode Eleven: Mastermind

You in the Mirror

Order! Order!

Honorable ladies and gentlemen.

Parliament Chamber

Yesterday, Mr. Maynard, the former leader of Tingen's New Party, was taken from us suddenly

as he departed for the Sea of Storms.

Tingen Mayor Dennis

His passing is a matter of deep regret.

Bring his killer to justice!

Arrest Sharon Khoy!

Hang the woman!

Dennis

Mr. Maynard unfortunately passed away due to a heart problem.

Dennis

Any and all rumors to the contrary are an insult to the deceased.

Mary Maynard

We all know that illness, poverty, civil unrest, and famine are eating away at Tingen.

The people are uncertain about the path ahead and have lost confidence in the city's future.

Tingen Charity Foundation

I hereby vow to unite the New Party and the Conservative Party.

I will carry on Mr. Maynard's legacy and push for political reform.

That new policy failed to pass with an absolute majority.

Forcibly implementing it would violate the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.

Say no to political reform!

I will lead Tingen onto a path of light and hope.

Onto a road of reform and revitalization.

I will promote the establishment of a new order.

We will cut ourselves free from chaos, poverty, crime, and violence.

We will establish a free and joyful Tingen.

We will shatter our shackles and leave the old order—no, everything in the past.

Leave the old order in the past!

The future belongs to Tingen!

Leave the old order in the past!

The future belongs to Tingen!

Very well done.

This is your reward.

To our next destination, coachman.

I never expected Maynard's death to alarm her.

Follow the carriage in front.

I hope it's all fine on the captain's end.

Baron Khoy's Residence

Search for any leads relating to Beyonders. And be discreet.

Right.

Understood, Captain.

Tris?

Captain, we've made a discovery.

This canister contains a powder unlike any medicine I know.

It's mummy powder. It's a new fad among the nobles.

It's said to become a drug that satisfies both men and women when brewed.

Mummies can be used for that?

We lost them?

Straight ahead.

It stopped working? Did Madam Sharon interfere?

We're at Blackthorn?

Why would she come to this area?

Spirit World: Messengers Messengers are spirit world creatures. A unique kind of spirit. The spirit world completely overlaps with the real world, but does not follow the same rules as the material world. There are no discernible directions within this world. Past, present, and future all converge here. It is like a strange, condensed sea of infinite knowledge, countless information, and limitless illusory spirits. Be it divination or clairvoyance, the majority of these techniques utilize the spirit world. Alternatively, these techniques rely on prying into fate. \h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h\h— Book of Secrets

Saintess, my mistress.

I like this enticing aroma.

Numbness, suppression, pain, despair.

These ingredients make up the exquisite Witch recipe.

It appears you're proceeding without any trouble.

The core of the city council is all men.

Assassin Pathway Sequence 6 Pleasure Madam Sharon Demoness Sect

Nobody understands men better than we do.

And nobody understands women better than we do.

Greedy, lustful bugs and vermin.

Who wouldn't want a night of soul-stealing ecstasy?

Once the experience of a blissful affair is carved into your bones, you can never escape,

and you become a puppet on the altar for me to manipulate.

Within two days, I will be able to offer you the entirety of Tingen, my mistress.

I do appreciate you, Sharon.

But an accident like Maynard's will affect my infiltration of the kingdom.

I do not wish to see it again.

Saintess of White Demoness Sect

If you cannot control Pleasure,

then do not blame me when I take you back under my wing for some thorough instruction.

There seems to be no abnormalities.

The captain and the others have already searched...

The mezzanine?

A former lover of Madam Sharon's?

No, this person looks very similar to Madam Sharon.

No way. She can't be under the effects of the same potion as Tris the Instigator, can she?

Oh, my cute little darling. There you are.

An Hour Earlier

Madam Sharon knew I was tailing her.

I need a more concealed method.

I remember Miss Daly saying...

The ritualistic magic for summoning a messenger is a prayer aimed at oneself.

It doesn't need to go through a deity, so it's relatively concealed.

The main point of the prayer is a detailed description of your summon.

Remember: do not arbitrarily modify the detailed description of your summon.

Otherwise, you can easily bring forth a terrifying monster.

I summon in my name:

The Fool that doesn't belong to this era,

the mysterious ruler above the gray fog,

the King of Yellow and Black who wields good luck.

Did the summoning fail?

Oh, right. If I summon myself, I need to go above the gray fog to answer my own prayer.

I really did manage to summon myself.

It even blends in the gray fog's powers.

And also a bit of the Flaring Sun charm's powers, it seems?

As I thought. Sunlight cannot scorch a spirit body.

The Demoness Sect?

Yes, Captain. It may be because a Clown's spiritual sense is relatively strong,

but I saw a statue of the Primordial Demoness.

The Primordial Demoness again?

Tell Frye to cover my Chanis Gate watch duty. Then, call Kenley.

I need to request the Sealed Artifact that can keep the Demoness in check: 3-0217.

Request paperwork.

Come in.

Materials

This is the sealing power behind the Chanis Gate?

Artifact 3-0217: Spirit Medium's Mirror.

Spirit Medium's Mirror The mirror reflects various images, and the danger that befalls each person reflected in the mirror also differs. The most dangerous reflection to see in the mirror is one's own

It once belonged to a Spirit Medium. Don't look directly at it.

It amplifies damage to Demonesses.

Even a fragment of it is enough to turn Demonesses to dust.

Keep this in mind: never allow Artifact 3-0217 to face you or a teammate.

I will drag her into a dream from a distance. Act quickly.

Nightmare's control has gotten stronger.

Seal!

Well, that was easy.

Black flame.

Staff Substitution?

Kenley!

She wasn't under Nightmare's control? It was all an illusion?

If I hadn't just happened to have the goddess statue by my side,

I would probably be in a deep sleep by now, waiting for your kiss to wake me.

Die, heretic!

Don't!

Kenley?

Kenley!

A familiar scent.

Was it you? The little rat that played tricks to sneak into my house this afternoon?

Hm? Only Sequence 8?

And you managed to sneak past me? You...

What secrets are you hiding?

Night...

Slumber!

Mirror Substitution again?

Arrogant bug who doesn't know his limits.

Seal!

Pleasure!

Oh? It can't be destroyed?

The statue!

Frost!

Why continue? You struggle in vain.

Listen to this beautiful sound.

The Death Knell has rung.

This continent is about to return to its rightful order.

Let us have this order begin in Tingen.

Come. Young Nighthawk, tell me your secrets.

Swear your loyalty to the Primordial.

Remember: only by following me and relying on the Primordial

will you receive purification and salvation...

and avoid the final apocalypse.

Sandman!

Pleasure!

Captain...

Excellent.

The final pest has appeared.

Die, both of you.

Conceal!

Apparition!

Blood curse.

Night Purification.

She's too fast. I can't lock onto her.

I need to anticipate her movements.

There's my chance!

No! No!

No!

No!

It's over.

Kenley...

I was the one who made a mistake. I was deceived by Sharon.

I didn't realize she was already long clear of the dream.

May the Goddess bless you.

May you find true peace.

May the serene night no longer harbor any danger or madness.

Captain, I've finished with the cleanup downstairs—
