A friend of mine learned

They're very deep

internalized messages,

that we mostly get from home.

That's because many convictions arise
in the early stages of life,

up until the age of 14.
And they're often brought about

because as children,
we didn't feel very understood.

For example, our parents were stressed
for whatever reason.

And we, as children, wouldn't think,
"Mom and Dad need therapy,

or parenting counselling."

But we'd think,

"I must be too much for them.
I'm a burden."

"I'm not enough."
Does anyone have a similar conviction

they want to share with us?

"I have to work hard for my money,

and I'm only worthy if I work hard."

Exactly. That's a conviction
many people have.

"I'm only worthy if I make an effort,

"The way I am, who I am,

Think about a conviction
that you know has something to do

with the way you were brought up

by your parents,
when they had good intentions

but it didn't really work out.

internalized a wrong message.

Look at your child self from the outside.

You see your parents and say,
