- We can see that
it is finely crafted.

This was probably the
sword of a noble person.

- [Tony] Teleportation in Texas.

- Some of these videos
are very difficult to explain.

celebrating independence day.

are back. I swear to god.

- [Tony] Around
the globe are videos,

- [woman] What the heck is this?

- [Tony] Photos and
sounds that defy explanation.

of unidentified object?

- [Man 2] A plane that
was literally frozen in the air.

- [Tony] What are they?

- [Man] Some sort
of bizarre mutation.

- Extraordinary claims
need extraordinary proof.

And as a journalist
for more than 30 years,

I've followed the facts
where they take me.

Now I'm bringing that
spirit of investigation

to the world's strangest
sounds and images.

(Creature screeching)

We'll analyze each
one with top experts.

- It's a credible case.
It's a credible video.

- [Tony] And pass our
verdict on what it is.

- This video was clearly faked.

- The proof starts now.

(Dramatic music)

- Hi, everyone, and welcome
to the "proof is out there."

Medieval legend
tells us that king Arthur

received the sword Excalibur

from a magical lady of the lake.

In other versions, he pulls
the sword from a stone.

Well, what if this
legend is based on facts?

A recent discovery
might make you believe.

October, 2019, near
the vrbas river in Bosnia,

archeology professor
Ivana pandzic

is studying the ruins
of a medieval fortress,

but the discovery of a relic
under the choppy rapids

shocks pandzic and her team.

It's a sword lodged straight
into a stone in the riverbed,

about 36 feet below the surface.

Despite being down there
for probably hundreds of years,

the sword is remarkably
well-preserved.

- [Tony] The team
manages to free the blade,

but how this sword
got in this stone

in the first place is a mystery.

Could it be the very Excalibur
from the king Arthur legend?

No concrete evidence
exists that a real king Arthur

actually ruled parts of england

beyond what was written
about him centuries later.

Some historians think
he could be based

on a real fifth century
Romano-British leader

named riothamus who
fought invading goths.

Details are scarce,

but even if Arthur
is entirely fictional,

that the story of Excalibur
have inspired medieval copycats.

- It's possible that if
this legend of king Arthur

did make its way into
Bosnia Herzegovina,

that individuals were
attempting to recreate this story

to encase a sword in stone

so that the rightful
heir of this kingdom

could pull the sword
out in the same way

that king Arthur did.

- Or maybe it's the
other way around.

Could this real
sword in the stone

be the inspiration for
the king Arthur legend?

So the big question is,

could a sword really
penetrate a rock?

Look, that's a tough one.

Most rocks are much harder
than any pointed steel blade.

So how can we
explain this strange find?

It's time to convene our
own knights of the round table.

Maritime archeologist
Peter Campbell

says based on the testing
done by the museum in Bosnia,

the dates don't line up for it

to have belonged to king Arthur

or to have inspired his legend.

- This sword dates to the
13th to 15th century a.D.

The legendary king
Arthur predates this sword

by nearly 1,000 years.

So we can definitely
discard the notion

that the sword is in
any way Excalibur.

- [Tony] And what
about the notion

that the noblemen
of the nearby fortress

could have an Arthur copycat?

Yes, it would be strange
to do such a thing in a river,

and Campbell agrees.

- One hypothesis
that's been raised

is the sword was put
in the stone deliberately

as part of some sort of
king-making ceremony.

We can affectively
discard this notion

because the sword
was found at 36 feet,

which is far deeper than they
would have been able to dive

in the 13th or 15th century a.D.

- [Tony] Still, he believes
based on what he sees,

the sword belonged
to someone important.

- We can see that
it is finely crafted.

It was very expensive metal
used in his manufacture.

And all of that indicates

that this was probably the
sword of a noble person.

- [Tony] And that
leads him to think

there was some ritualistic
reason it's in the water.

- There's actually a very
well-developed tradition,

especially in Europe, of
discarding of swords and armor

in rivers, lakes, and bogs.

And this dates
from the bronze age,

all the way up to
the medieval period.

If somebody wins a major battle,

they can discard the
sword into the river

as some sort of ritual offering.

- [Tony] And as to how it
ended up lodged in the stone.

- Frequently, we
see heavy objects

deposited in rivers
that work their way

down with the current
into sediment or into rocks.

And then it has many
centuries of wiggling

and burrowing
down into the cracks.

The metal is also corroding,
attaching it to the rocks,

and sediment is filling in
and it's becoming rock itself.

This explains why
the sword appeared

to be stuck in the rock.

In fact, these are normal
site formation processes

as we call them for
river environments.

- So, our verdict, this is a
geological phenomenon.

The sword didn't
penetrate the stone.

The stone built up
around the sword.

However, the sword's
true origin and owners

still remain a mystery.

Perhaps s it was wielded
by another legendary king.

- If you grew up
watching "Star Trek,"

you probably dreamed of a future

where you could
step into a transporter

and beam to anywhere
in the universe.

But some recent footage
has people wondering

if secret Teleportation
technology already exists today.

December, 2019,

it's just after Christmas
in the small community

of Porter, north
of Houston, Texas.

A man is heading out alone

on what seems like a
normal lone star evening,

but his doorbell is about to
catch something extraordinary.

The motion sensor records
the man as he exits the front door

and strolls casually
down the walkway.

But as he turns
towards the driveway,

he freezes momentarily
and suddenly vanishes.

Watch that again,

and pay close attention
to the ball of light

that shoots up to the
sky as he disappears.

Did we just see an
act of Teleportation?

Journalist mj banias who
reports on the unexplained

says it wouldn't be
the first reported case.

- Cultures and religions have
been talking about the ability

to travel great distances
in a short period of time

for generations.

In Jewish kabbalah,

rabbis and ascetics
could pray and meditate

and enter a holy state where
they would be able to perform

a sort of Teleportation act.

(Static buzzing)

- [Tony] Let's teleport
back from ancient Israel

to modern Georgia
and this Internet classic,

a high-speed pursuit shot
from a police dashcam in 1997.

- Police officers
caught on the tail

of someone who stole a car
and is trying to chase him down.

After a bunch of
maneuvers on the road,

in some bizarre twist,

the car thief takes a left turn

and disappears through a fence.

- [Tony] Lieutenant Wayne
Daniels was at the wheel

during this perplexing event.

- When it all occurred,
it happened so fast.

I figured the fence
would wrap him up.

He'd be in a big old cocoon,

but yet the fence was
still standing in front of me,

and keeping me closed off
from getting inside the yard.

I had no idea to begin with

how a car could get through
a 10 foot chain-link fence.

- [Tony] And just recently
we've seen headlines

reporting that Teleportation
is now a matter of science,

at least on the subatomic level.

- So the idea has been
around since Einstein.

We've known that it's possible
to teleport at least photons.

And even more recently,

scientists have been able
to use quantum entanglement

to teleport larger structures.

- Now, based on some
physics calculations,

it's thought it would
require the energy

an entire city uses for a year
to teleport a human being.

But that hasn't stopped people

from believing that advanced
Teleportation tech exists

in secret.

So do these videos prove it?

Let's turn to our experts.

First, Michael primeau
examines the doorbell video.

- So I've analyzed many
ring camera video recordings,

but one thing that
they all have in common

is that they use a high level

of what's called
visual compression.

So I employed what's
called macroblock analysis,

as well as motion
vector analysis.

These tests reveal
that the encoder

was not documenting new
pixel information for 30 frames.

It is entirely possible
that this is encoder error.

So there's several
different reasons

as to why this occurred
at this specific point in time.

The first is there was a drop
in the Internet connection

to which the camera was
not transmitting information

to the cloud to actually
document those frames.

The second is simply
camera malfunction.

- [Tony] So the
glitching doorbell

didn't capture
Teleportation in the act.

(Air whooshing)

But how did that car
on the police video

seemingly teleport to the
other side of the fence?

After some investigation,

lieutenant Daniels believes
he solved the puzzle.

- On most fence,
when you set the Poles,

you put the fence from
the outside of the Poles,

so that it protects anyone
from going through the fence

into a yard.

This particular fence was
set on the backside of the pole

so that when the
car hit the fence,

the aluminum ties that
hold the fence to the Poles,

pop loose, the fence swung
open like a garage door.

And before the
dust could settle,

the fence had done come
straight back down in front of me.

- So our verdict on
both of these videos,

the anomaly of a teleporting
texan can be explained

by a faulty camera.

And the mystery of the
vanishing Georgia bandit

can be explained
by a faulty fence.

However, a recent experiment
in 2017 by Chinese researchers

did manage to teleport the
quantum state of a photon

to a satellite
870 miles in orbit.

Perhaps the days of
"beam me up, Scotty"

could be on the horizon.

- Independence day is now
associated with alien invasion

thanks to the Hollywood
blockbuster by the same name.

Recently, one of
our very own viewers

says he saw more than
just fireworks on July 4th.

And he sent us a
video that has us asking,

"are ufos somehow attracted
to colorful aerial explosions

like we are?"

Chatsworth, California,
July 4th, 2018.

John Lopez is
celebrating with his family.

- Every year, we go
out in our backyard

'cause we're able
to see the fireworks.

- [Tony] But instead
of pyrotechnics,

they see something far
more startling, these lights.

- [John] Kind of
look like fireballs

just floating around in the sky

and then like different ones

kind of appeared out of nowhere.

- [Tony] Look closer.

The lights swoop,
flicker on and off,

and seem to hover for
more than 30 minutes.

And what makes it even stranger?

This is the second
4th of July in a row

that John has seen them.

- [Woman] Mom, the ufos
are back. I swear to god.

I swear.

- [John] That's a trip, damn.

- So everyone was kind
of shocked to see that.

- [Tony] It left the
Lopez family wondering

what had they seen and
why does it recur on the 4th?

Journalist and
author Alexis Brooks

is one of the leading
authorities on ufo encounters.

- We've heard
many stories of ufos

showing up repeatedly
to individuals.

But the fact that it
was at the same time

and in the same place, I
haven't heard too often.

You wonder if the
fireworks display

may have actually attracted
these anomalous objects

to the scene.

- [Tony] Brooks wonders
why the ufos appear specifically

on the 4th.

- Are they attracted
to the light in the sky

that the fireworks portray?

Do they want to hide themselves
in the midst of fireworks?

- [Tony] Professor
of anthropology,

Michael masters notes

there's a spike in ufo
sightings on the 4th.

And brings up a theory

that they could be
trying to figure out

exactly what we're doing.

- It sort of conjures up ideas
of this galactic zoo model

that we're being watched
by these otherworldly beings,

fascinated by this strange
ritual of independence,

where we explode
these bombs in the air.

- But independence day has
been around for 200 years.

Why are the ufos only
showing up to watch now?

One theory is that
we've only recently

become interesting as a species

now there we're building space
stations and supercomputers.

Let's see what our experts
think of John's video.

- We did detect several
consistent signatures

across this video recordings,

both made using similar
make and model devices.

So there is no evidence
that we detected

that these files
were manipulated.

- [Tony] So the
videos are legit,

but could they be picking up

your typical 4th
of July light show?

- I don't detect similarities

with what I would expect
to see from fireworks

because fireworks
are a momentary

blast of light in the sky.

They explode and
then they vanish.

There's just simply no evidence
of that in these recordings.

- [Tony] Astronomer
and video effects designer

Marc d'Antonio looks
for other explanations

like planes or sky lanterns.

- Aircraft have to have
federal aviation administration

mandated lighting.

We don't see that here.

So I'm ruling out an aircraft.

The sky lantern is slow

and moves on the
prevailing winds in the sky.

These objects
are not doing that.

They're moving any
which way they want.

And so, that rules
out sky lanterns.

- [Tony] Our aviation
expert Tim mcmillan

considers if the
objects could be flares.

- [Tim] If there are
flares fired from a aircraft,

you would see them spread out.

I would say flares
would be pretty unlikely.

- [Tony] And finally,

there's always the
possibility of drones.

- Could someone be
operating a drone swarm?

Maybe.

Drones operate
off of battery power.

And so if you're operating
a very high-powered,

high-lumination light,

that's less time that your drone

is going to be able
to stay in the air.

- Our experts can only say
these lights might be drones,

but they can't be certain.

So for now, our verdict,
these are genuine ufos.

So maybe we are truly
living in the land of the free,

or we could just be
part of a galactic zoo,

entertaining the ets.

- Let's just say

some of the stuff that gets
stuck inside the human body

is truly astounding.

Doctors have removed full-grown
moths from patients' ears,

spoons from stomachs,

and other weird stuff
from other weird places.

But could this next video
be proof of a foreign object

from a foreign planet?

November, 2015,

it appears to be
business as usual

at a hospital in
China's hubei province

as a 53-year-old man

prepares to undergo
a medical procedure.

A monitor is
showing the live feed

from inside the
patient on the table.

It is then that what
they are looking at

and trying to
extract is revealed.

Check this out.

The object remarkably
resembles an egg,

white, oval, and
nestled perfectly inside

the patient's stomach.

And if it is an egg,
what's going to hatch?

- There's a long-standing idea

that exists within
the ufo community

that aliens from another world

will often abduct people
and implant eggs inside them

for the purpose of breeding
some future alien hybrid race.

We do also see incidents
where people claim

to have alien
implants inside them.

There was a famous doctor
who performed surgeries

on people who claimed to
have been abducted by aliens

and implanted with strange
objects inside their body.

- Many patients who
claim to have alien implants

say the objects were metal,

possibly used for
tracking or monitoring.

But this egg-like object
certainly looks organic.

Let's see how our experts
diagnose the situation.

(Chiming music)

Our zoologist roxy furman

has seen a lot of strange
natural-occurring phenomenon,

but she's never seen
anything quite like this.

- It looks like could
be an egg, but later on,

they actually have the objects,

and they've kind of dissected
it and cut it into slices.

It doesn't have any of the
physical properties of an egg

in terms of the layers.

It looks artificial,

and maybe some sort
of gelatine or something.

- [Tony] And where this
thing was found is also key.

- It's very unlikely

that something like that could
grow in a human stomach.

It's full of different acids
and chemical compounds

that break down food,
not nurture growth.

So it's highly unlikely

that something would be in
there thriving and growing.

- [Tony] Professor of
biology Floyd Hayes

thinks there is a much more
down-to-earth explanation

for this man's condition.

- So it appears to me
that this is basically

masses of fatty
tissue that accumulate.

They're relatively
softer, are benign.

When they grow large like
this, they could be problematic

in that they could press
against various organs

that can cause pain.

- [Tony] After the analysis,
we did some digging,

and it turns out this
isn't the first of its kind.

In 2013, a 62-year-old man
had a similar growth removed

at a hospital in
Washington, D.C.

The mass measured at
about 3.34 inches at its midline

and weighed about
a half a pound,

making it the largest
specimen of its kind.

- We're not really
certain why these appear.

There's at least one
gene that has been found

to be associated
with the growth.

There's also some
evidence that they may result

from traumatic injuries.

- So, our verdict, this is
a biological phenomenon,

a mixture of fat and
tissue that grew naturally

in this man's bodily fluid.

But this doesn't completely
disprove the accounts

of aliens implanting human
hosts, just not this one.
